Rex is a senior at Happy Harbor. He's a troubled kid who's in the backtrack classes, catching up on stuff he seems to have missed. To say the charismatic punk has a chip on his shoulder is the understatement of the century. Oh, he also blows stuff up as a superhero for the Teen Team. That too.

Timeline

Timeline:
2002 - Rex is born to an impoverished family in Gotham. They struggle everyday, and can barely get through. He learns to steal and fight at a very early age to help provide.

2015 - While stealing food to feed his family he encounters a man calling himself Radcliffe. He interrogates the boy and finds out about his rough life. He follows him home and offers his father a large sum of money to purchase Rex. His father agrees immediatly.

2015 - 2018 - Rex is trained to be a killer and an acrobat, while he is constantly injected with serums. They put him through procedures to alter him, and begin sending him on assassination and sabotage missions. They installed a device in his cybernetic, replaced arm so that he can accelerate molecules. In 2018 he is sent to destroy the Pentagon, when he encounters Eve Wilkins by chance. She convinces him to not go back, and she helps him destroy his HQ and flee.

2019 - At Eve's behest he joins Teen Team...but he is a damaged mess, constantly making moral mistakes. His team help him get through it all, but it's a rough going.

2020 - The team finally enrolls him at Happy Harbor, even though he's in the 'special classes' due to missing so much school. He is NOT happy about it.

Personality

Charismatic:
Even though he can be a selfish, brazen ass...he has charisma. He pulls people into his gravity, and his charming devil-may-care attitude has seduced more then one poor girl.

Troubled:
Rex had a terrible upbringing, and it has damaged every aspect of his mentality. His issues have issues, and the more layers of his personality are peeled back...the more issues are discovered!

Agility:
Due to the experiments he went through under Radcliffe, along with intense athletic and acrobatic training, he is crazy athletic. He can flip and roll and twist better then a human can, and he can run a bit faster then a peak human.

Durability:
Due to his experiments under Radcliffe, he is MUCH more durable then a normal human. He can take beatings that would kill a normal man and keep fighting, and he also heals about twice as fast as a human does. To give an example, he was shot in the head with a high caliber bullet in the comics, and while he ended up in the hospital and a bit messed up, it did not blow his head off as it should have.

Molecule Acceleration:
Due to a special device implanted in Rex's arms, Rex has the power to accelerate molecules to an unstable level with potential energy, caused it to explode with kinetic energy (throwing the object). The size of the object can carry a larger explosion and chemical compound of the object. For example, when enhancing a BB it can cause a decent and powerful explosion, enough to knock out a human or destroy a car. When he has enhanced a computer and lobbed it, the explosion is enough to take out much tougher, super-powered individuals. An extreme example is if he ever detonated his own skeleton, it would rival nuclear explosions...and totally kill him, of course.

Strength:
The experiments he went through under Radcliffe imbued him with enhanced strength. He is beyond peak human, and able to lift about three tons when he pushes himself, and deal matching amounts of damage with his body.

Acrobatics:
Unlike some members of his team, Rex doesn't fly. However, he is an absolutely incredible acrobatic. He is capable of true Olympic feats even without his superhuman agility, and the agility pushes it to flipping-out-of-the-way-of-bullets terrain.

Martial Arts:
Radcliffe had him trained extensively in martial arts since he was an adolescent, and it shows. He is incredibly good with a multitude of martial arts styles, and the boy can blend them seemlessly. Karate, jujitsu, Krav Maga, several forms of Shaolin martial arts, and a few western styles.

Stealth:
Rex was trained to be an assassin, but even before that he was an amateur criminal. He knows how to blend in with a crowd and move with exceptional stealth, avoiding making sound or being spotted. Nothing supernatural here.

Teen Team:
He was brought into Teen Team by Eve. While he butts heads with, well, everyone...he tries. They've helped socialize him a bit, and he's found some semblance of a family life with them. He has access to everything normally accessible to a member of the team.

Weaknesses

Inorganic:
His acceleration ONLY works on inanimate objects. He cannot do it with living tissue.

Walking Trash Fire:
To say that Rex is problematic is a bit of an understatement. He can be crass, forward, a liar...all kinds of things. His upbringing was a damaging one, and it shows. Still, he's trying to be more of a human these days, even if it's hard for him.
