Personality

Analytical:
While not inexperienced with people, Sanjeev tends to approach a social encounter taking in as much external information as possible. What is the person's body language like? How are they holding themselves? What are their facial features? Are their clothes in slight disarray? The more information he has, the better he can then apply himself to the situation at hand to facilitate conducive communication. Nothing blocks effective communication more than not knowing the filter the other person has at that moment. While it doesn't make communication 100% effective at all times, in his experience it tends to be better than the alternative.

Focused:
One does not complete both college and graduate school in less than normal time and attain the level languages and skills at such a young age on intelligence alone. When there is a task at hand that needs to be completed, Sanjeev focuses to the point that he can block away all things that could potentially be distractions. This has caused people to think him to be less fun than other people at points, but in his eyes there is a time for work and a time for play. Mixing the two just results in neither one achieving its maximum.

Heart of Gold:
Sanjeev is no hero. He's just a scientist who made a mistake and is now stuck with side-effects of reckless experimentation outside of regulations. As much as he tries to look out for himself alone and not get involved with others, he is at his core a good person who cares deeply about the suffering of others. Perhaps it is because of how he was raised by immigrant parents who themselves grew up in an Eastern society where the collective was more important than the individual. Whatever the origin, Sanjeev will often reach out and lend a helping hand to others as long as it is not at great personal risk to himself: befriending homeless people on the subway and getting them something to eat, helping cheer up a crying child, etc.

Reserved:
Due to his upbringing, Sanjeev is not the type of person to be excessively social. He can count the number of times he has gotten drunk on one hand (probably on one finger), and he does not like to make people uncomfortable. He dislikes physical confrontations and would prefer to work things out verbally, if possible. He is well-mannered with an eye for social graces and etiquette.

Witty:
Sanjeev always seems to be ready with a crooked, charming smile and an interesting perspective to add to a conversation with just the right words necessary to get his point across--and often on the spot. Thinking on his feet isn't just a skill for him, but rather a way of life. It allows him to not only give rather sage advice to others, but also mediate situations with the correct words when necessary. It also helps to defuse tension with a few words for an easy laugh.

Powers

Dimension Disappearance:
With concentration and a gesture, Sanjeev can alter the dimensional characteristic of an object being held by someone else. Altering its dimensionality to the fourth-dimension, the object winks out of existence to those who exist in the third dimension. The object itself still exists, it is just out of reach for three-dimensional creatures. It is still in its exact same spot in the fourth dimension, so once its dimensionality is altered once again, it will appear again in the same spot it was previously. Alternatively, Sanjeev can Dimension Walk to the object and retrieve it. In effect, it allows the disappearance of a weapon being held by another person. Sanjeev can only perform this on one object at once currently.

Dimension Walk:
The Power which gave Sanjeev his hero name. Altering his own dimensionality, effectively becomes a fourth-dimensional being and promptly winks out of three-dimensional existence. Traveling through the Fourth Dimension is a rather disorienting existence. Without Fourth-Dimensional Sight, Sanjeev could not traverse its expanse. Distance between entrance and exit points in the third dimensional we all can see are not equivalent in the fourth dimension, so a short walk through the fourth dimension could be a rather large distance in the third. Three-dimensional objects do not affect him during this power's usage as it is effectively a teleportation power save for the fact that the fourth and third dimension exist in the same place, so he is actually still here when using Dimension Walk. It is just that his travel between two points is not linear. So, for those with the power to sense him, they may sense him here, then on the other side of the world, then at his destination as in the fourth dimension that may be what is linear there. Currently, he cannot take people with him as he barely understands how it works himself and does not want to strand someone in the fourth dimension with no way out. While he was stuck in the fourth dimension for several months his first time, Sanjeev takes much shorter stays there as staying in the fourth dimension as a natively three dimensional being can significantly alter one's perception of time and space, potentially warping one's sanity and causing one to lose their way back. Sanjeev can only stay there for between one to three hours at a stretch before coming back to the third dimension at his absolute maximum. He has also limited himself to moving only to locations he can see in the third dimension as it gives him a clear idea of the location to come back to from the fourth dimension. Extreme long range movement is outside of his current abilities.

Dimensional Manipulation:
As a result of his experiments into Dimensionality, Sanjeev has gained the ability to manipulate the relative dimensionality of people and objects. A three-dimensional object could become a four-dimensional object or a two-dimensional object. This power can have a variety of effects. The ones which Sanjeev can currently used are listed in the rest of the Powers section.

Fourth-Dimensional Sight:
Learned when Sanjeev was trapped in the Fourth-Dimension, he uses Dimensional Manipulation on his own sight. What results is that Sanjeev can see as if he was a Fourth-Dimensional being. In effect, he can see other people as they are in the third-dimension as if they were actually flat on a map in two-dimensions. This means he has 360 degree sight that negates cover, walls, ceilings, or other like kinds of things. This does not mean he can see people that are invisible unless that invisibility is caused by an external cover rather than inherent to the person. This power also serves to allow Sanjeev to see where he is doing during a Dimension Walk.

Regeneration:
When stepping through dimensions with Dimension Walk, the residual dimensional energy clings to Sanjeev as he moves into the fourth dimension and back to the third dimension. The experiment he performed altered his body composition somehow, and this energy tends to aid in his body's natural healing rate while in the fourth dimension. This is not nearly on the level of Wolverine's Healing Factor. It is also uncontrolled.

Two-Dimensional Weapon:
Altering a touched object's dimensionality to become a two-dimensional object, Sanjeev can effectively turn an object or part of an object he is maintaining contact with into a flat, mono-molecular weapon. The object is for all intents and purposes a completely flat object with no depth which means it can be practically invisible when viewed directly from the side. The thinness does not affect the object's durability. However, this makes very little difference to its extreme level of cutting power since it can cut on the atomic level as it exists as only two dimensions. So, regardless of the object it is made from, the cutting power due to its extreme flatness does not change. However, when trying to defend with the weapon, its durability comes into play and may not be able to absorb the incoming impact. The object requires constant contact in order to maintain and Sanjeev can only maintain one object at a time in this manner. Both types of Vibranium are completely immune to these effects as the atomic bonds themselves vibrate making cutting through them even with a mono-molecular weapon like this an impossible task. Adamantium is resistant due to the short bond lengths of the metal making cutting them difficult.

Skills

Etiquette:
Due to his father's affluence as a high level doctor, Sanjeev was expected to know which spoon to use at which point in time as well as how to greet other affluent people and dignitaries. While he was not a leader of men himself, he knows well enough have to interact with them without creating a faux pas.

Genius:
Sanjeev possesses a rather high level of intelligence, but a just as extreme level of information absorption. He has gone through degrees requiring less time to do them than most, and is considered one of the foremost experts on Dimensional Frameworks in the world due to the sheer amount of research data he has compiled despite not having finished his formalized Doctorate as yet. Suffice to say, he picks up ideas and concepts quickly.

Martial Arts:
From the age of ten years old, Sanjeev practiced Wing Chun Kung Fu, a style focused on quick strikes and powerful blows using the rotational motion of the hips and body rather than muscle. It also uses the opponent's own strength and tension to make the user's own blows both stronger and faster: a method called Two-Directional Energy. While he is very proficient, he is not very experienced in actually brawling with other people as he prefers not to be confrontational. His training was practical instead of simply for health or for show, so he is trained for combat. He just lacks the experience of actually fighting for his life against other people.

While this is the only style of martial arts that Sanjeev knows, he has dedicated the time every morning since he was ten years old to practicing and studying the art. Every day begins with meditation on a wooden bench that was hand-carved by his teacher's Buddhist teacher followed by morning exercised and training. What had started out as a method to lose stress and tension quickly became a way of life for him. While not experienced in combat, the art is etched into every fibre of his being. Some would argue that not knowing varied styles of martial arts could be a weakness. Sanjeev's teacher pointed out that given the same amount of time and understanding of teachings, doing one thing extremely well was far better than doing many things less well.

Medical Training:
Due to being raised in a family of doctors with a highly-trained father who constantly put pressure on him to become a doctor as well, Sanjeev has the skills to keep people alive when they have become sick or injured. With the EMT training he got in college on top of this, he has the official licensure as well as skills above and beyond that in diagnostics and rudametary surgery including resections and suturing.

Musician:
Sanjeev can play the flute and violin as well as sing with good enough proficiency that he was on the cover of a national music magazine when he was younger.

Polyglot:
Due to his father's insistence on needing to speak the language of potential US trading partners when Sanjeev was growing up, he speaks English, Spanish, Hindi, Japanese, Mandarin, and Cantonese. Hindi is through his parents. Cantonese was one language he picked up on his own to be able to better understand his martial art.

Resources

Affluent:
Despite being immigrants Sanjeev's family are quite affluent. His father went to Johns Hopkins University as an overseas student and became a doctor, eventually becoming a medical director for a prominent New York hospital. While they are not going to be on the cover of Forbes, the Bassis are multi-millionares. As such, Sanjeev is not hurting for money he has access to, but the questions associated with it may not be worth the risk at any given point in time.

Hospital:
Since his father sometimes requires Sanjeev to stop by work (and often attempts to try to coax his son into dropping his career to go back to Medicine), Sanjeev usually knows the passcodes to get into and out of areas of the hospital to get medical supplies. With his knowledge of Medicine, it's usually sufficient for a patch-job when it becomes necessary.

Weaknesses

Double Life:
Having a job during the day while superheroing at night was not easy for people usually. However, Sanjeev seems to have cranked his settings to Hard Mode as he has to crank out valid research in order to keep up his reputation and status as a genius in the field while also doing well enough to fend off his father's wishes that he find a "real career" in Medicine. Not only that, but he is expected not to shirk any sort of responsibility to his family: high society parties, parental needs, spending time with his sister, the list goes on. Very often, Sanjeev's genius level intellect is often strained more trying to find the most efficient route to get everything done than in actually doing his research.

No Superheroes:
Sanjeev has another reason that he cannot let his identity slip besides protecting his family. Dr. Vijay Bassi, his father, has had an extreme level of dislike for superheroes since the invasion of the Alien Alliance. The dislike has only gotten worse since Sanjeev was injured during the Avengers' battle against Loki in New York in 2018. While Sanjeev is no longer a minor, he is under no illusions that he is somehow "free" of the obligations he has to his family. If his father found out what he was doing, it's possible that Vijay would turn his own son over to the authorities himself.

Not a Hero:
Perhaps the strangest thing about Sanjeev is that despite his abilities, he's not a hero. This doesn't mean that he is particularly a villain either. He's a scientist. Combined with his non-confrontational stance, he's far more interested in figuring out how his abilities work and how to control them than using them to save anyone or stop bad people. That was what the authorities are for, after all. If an innocent bystander to some crime is hurt, he is not directly responsible. But, if his own abilities go out of control because of his own lack of understanding about them, that would be on him. So, he goes out at night in costume not to patrol for bad guys, but rather to be able to test his own abilities incognito.
