A somewhat unassuming high school senior, Stephanie Brown is better known to some as Spoiler. Though rough around the edges, she is a budding vigilante working as part of Batman's network of associates in Gotham in the hopes of making the city a safer place.

Timeline:
*2001: Born to Arthur and Crystal Brown in Gotham
*2007: Begins gymnastics and athletic training.
*2010: Father arrested for the first time. More follow.
*2015: Began high school
*2017: Discovered her father was The Cluemaster
*2018: Dons the identity of the Spoiler in an attempt to "spoil" her dad's crimes. With the help of Batman, he is sent to prison. Becomes pregnant by ex-boyfriend Dean. Tim Drakes coaches her through Lamaze. Baby born end of 2018 and given up for adoption via Bruce Wayne.
*2019: Batman loses faith and tells her to hang up her costume. Stephanie stubbornly continues patrolling with mostly homemade gear and a few items given her by Tim Drake.
*2020: Finishing high school. Barbara Gordon sees something of herself in Stephanie's stubborn refusal to give up. Takes her on as a mentor and force Batman to bring her into the Batfamily.

Brave:
Steph will stand toe to toe with just about any threat that poses itself, regardless of the danger often posed to herself.

Inner Monologue:
There is a voice in Stephanie's head that does not quit. It's always adding comments about the happenings in her life. Sometimes self-critical, often funny with a quirky, self-deprecating sense of humor. In some ways it tries to compensate for her fear of being isolated by filling the void. Stephanie's filter for shutting out this inner voice is poorly developed at best. She frequently realizes a second or two late that she's said something aloud instead of just thinking it. It also contributes to her social ineptitude and problems within her peer groups, making her look and feel like a dork.

Optimistic:
Steph's particular form of optimism is typically borne of her determination, leading her to believe in the best in a situation, refuse to give up, and encourage her friends - at least until her temper gets the best of her.

Quick Thinker and Learner:
Steph is quick on the uptake, able to react to changing situations quickly, as well as picking up skills and expanding her knowledge similarly quickly.

Resourceful:
Steph is a self made superhero, originally driven by only her motivation to stop her father with whatever means she had. Her connections with the Bat Family have granted her greater resrouces, which she makes use of readily.

Athleticism:
Steph has excelled in several sports in her school years, particularly gymnastics and softball. Both of these have put her in fantastic shape and left her able to act and move quickly and accurately.

Detective Skills:
Stephanie has been given a solid grounding in forensic science. Along with the equipment available through the Batfamily, she's capable of analyzing a crime scene, and conducting fiber and other scientific analysis on evidence. She's learned to read posture and micro-expressions to detect people trying to conceal things.

Martial Arts:
Stephanie was a fair fighter in her own right before being trained by Barbara Gordon and other members of the Batfamily. Being trained by some of the deadliest people on the planet has given Stephanie both confidence and skills. While her own personal style still includes roundhouse punches and getting someone to chase her to a wall that she runs up and hits them while flipping over them, she is well-grounded in multiple forms of martial arts that let her go toe-to-toe with other elite fighters.

Motorbike Operation:
Steph owns a motorbike and is a skilled rider, having incorporated it into her work as Spoiler before.

Stealth:
Steph has always had the knack for stealth necessary to really be a member of the Bat Family.

Bat Family:
As a member of the Bat Family, she has much of what they have at their disposale, including cutting edge tech, the Batcomputer, and most importantly, it's other members.

Batcycle:
This is a girl who was born to be on a motorcycle. Stephanie ekes the most out of her high performance Batcycle. It has the expected gadgets of a Bat vehicle, from an auto-pilot that can drive the bike without a rider, to a seat that can launch her into the air, or defensive measures that James Bond would approve of.

Batgirl Costumes:
Stephanie was chosen by Barbara Gordon to carry on the Batgirl legacy. Like Barbara before her, Stephanie has Batgirl costumes that contain high tech body armor and electronics systems, including comms, Batcomputer access, a heads up display, and the ability to see in other visual spectra or zoom her vision in. The suits are linked to Oracle's systems allowing Barbara to provide real time advice, even to the level of pointing out someone behind Batgirl. There are variants for different environments, such as underwater activity or even HALO jumps.

Gadgets:
As Batgirl, Stephanie has the batarangs, grapple launchers, smoke and flash pellets and other equipment one would expect to find in the utility belt of a member of the Batfamily. One favored weapon is a bo staff which can telescoped from its compact form on her belt, or be separated into two batons.

Mother:
Stephanie's mother is a nurse who has an addiction to prescription pain killers though she is trying hard to go straight. Taking care of her mother is important to Stephanie, and in more recent years they have begun to forge the kind of loving relationship that one hopes for from a parent.

Vehicles:
Stephanie's graduation present from Barbara Gordon was a high end purple and black motorcycle. Not a Batcycle yet, but a personal vehicle to replace the crappy Yamaha that Stephanie had previous used for personal business and as Spoiler both.

Roberto has since bought Stephanie a used purple compact car and had it souped up with the intent she can use it alongside him in an underground race circuit. It has neon lights under the bottom, a top end engine and suspension, and extra safety features and armor since the races are usually kind of brutal. At present it lacks the pop up turret that The Compact had in canon.

Both vehicles can rotate the license plate to show a different plate than that used by her civilian registry.

Family:
Stephanie's father is Cluemaster. He is currently incarcerated, but stopping him was what drove Stephanie to become a vigilante in her attempt to stop him. He also has not handled the matter well, with Stephanie having been kidnapped at one point by his associates. He is an anchor that weighs her down, and should he gain his freedom, Stephanie would be likely to obsess about him, particularly if he returns to his villainous ways. Her mother is also a potential target. Stephanie's only real family has been her mother, at least until some of her growing relationships within the Batman family. For someone with a fear of being alone, the worry of losing her mother is a powerful force on Stephanie.

Impulsive:
Steph is prone to leaping before she looks, which can lead to some questionable decision making on her part. She is also known to have knee-jerk reactions.

Low Self-Image:
With a villain father who was frequently in prison and a mother whose drug abuse kept her from providing more than basic needs, Stephanie grew up with a fairly low self-image and a fear of isolation. That lack of confidence showed through with friends and classmates. Combined with a poorly developed set of people skills, Stephanie never became popular or well-accepted within her peer groups. Though she has finally begun to forge herself a more positive identity, her view of herself can sometimes still act as an anchor and weigh her down.

Stubborn:
For every bit that Steph is brave and willing to do whatever is necessary, she is also every bit as stubborn as that can lead someone to be. Particularly if incensed she sometimes doesn't know when to back off.

Unrefined:
Many aspects of Steph's work as Spoiler is self taught and lacks refinement, something that is only recently being corrected in earnest as she works with her peers in the Bat Family. Her combat skills, decision making, and stealth aren't as polished as her peers - but she's trying to improve.

Shine: Ashy Aftermath	October 28th, 2020	Diana Prince (Wonder Woman), Stephanie Brown (Spoiler) and Bart Allen (Impulse) investigate the burnt-out shell of the Beacon household in Gotham, and investigation is interrupted by FINN ADDAMS of the Gotham Gate newspaper -- a rumourmill trying to go legit. Afterwards, Diana meets up with Phoebe Beacon and provides a little peace of mind for the young healer. It is now known that Bernie Frank, a known arsonist, was not investigate or charged with the fire in the Narrows in Gotham that killed Phoebe's adoptive father, but he has admitted to the crime, and purposefully went after Caroline Beacon and Phoebe Beacon, the Outsider known as Balm -- and even their dog, Scout! With Caroline Beacon in the ICU and in isolation, there is now a challenge two ways -- keeping Phoebe from being labeled a homeless teen and lost to the system in Gotham, and finding a way to get her to her mom!
