Superman Appears

During celebrations marking the 350th Anniversary of Metropolis' founding, LexCorp exhibits the first ever commercial flight of their sub-orbital spaceplane Constitution. Several of Metropolis' most notable citizens, including Lex Luthor himself and Mayor Frank Berkowitz, are aboard the plane when it experiences catastrophic engine failure and begins to crash.

A costumed man only seen in brief glimpses in Metropolis appears and takes flight, catching the Constitution in mid-air and flying it gently to the ground. He quickly departs the scene too rapidly to answer any questions, but is later spotted again in Metropolis wearing his iconic blue and red suit - the Man of Steel, Superman, debuts!
