Dark vigilante based out of New York. Partner of Dagger (Tandy Bowen), who tends to leave killers and drug dealers drained of some (or all) of their life energy. He can be a lethal opponent in combat, but tries to curb his killing for the sake of Dagger's morality. Teleporter who can reach almost anywhere at any time. This makes him scary as hell to those who are trying to hide from him.

Timeline:
2002: Born in February in South Boston. Raised in a lower class neighborhood.
2010: Began therapy for his stutter. Never managed to overcome it fully.
2019: Watched best friend gunned down by Boston police because his stutter kept him from explaining things after the two of them fled from a scene where they had witnessed a robbery. Blamed self for Billy's death.
2019: Ran away to New York out of guilt. Almost robbed Tandy Bowen upon arrival. Instead tackled mugger who took her purse out of impulse. Befriended Tandy immediately.
2019: Christmas, cold. Starving. Tandy accepted offer of shelter. Tyrone was suspicious, went with to protect her. Instead, both teens were forcibly detained and delivered to a criminal chemist for experimentation.
2020: January - Synthetic drug tests killed most subjects, but Tyrone and Tandy survived, along with another young man from China. Al three escaped together. During the escape, Tyrone's darkness powers manifested.
2020: May - Having taken some time to learn about their powers and figure things out, Tyrone and Tandy adopted codenames Cloak and Dagger, and are ready for their vengeance filled vigilante careers. Or studying for their GED's. Either could work!

Personality

Depression:
Due to past events, and obvious dark powers, Cloak tends to be depressed. He dislikes his powers and feels that they make him akin to a demon. He wishes for a time when he did not have these abilities and this hunger.

Guilt:
A large portion of Tyrone's motivation is based on his sense of guilt over the death of his best friend Billy. To this day, he believes that it was his fault that Billy was killed. If he had only been able to speak better, if he hadn't stuttered, he is sure that he could have explained to the police officer what had happened, and then that officer would not have shot Billy. Despite that the fact that he can do nothing to change what happened, he is constantly thinking, "What if...?" in regards to that, and it is never far from his thoughts.

Judgemental:
As someone who has suffered from racism bias all of his life, and someone who has been experimented upon against his will, Tyrone is fairly quick to leap to conclusions about a person. He quickly formsopinions about a person based on their perceived actions or preferences.

Shy:
Tyrone is socially shy, and tends to brood and be the quiet type around most people. Most notably, strangers. This is mostly alleviated when he is with Tandy (Dagger) as he feels a deep kinship with her.

Darkness:
Tyrone can project the darkforce energy within his pocket dimension outward, filling large spaces with pure inky blackness that normal light cannot pierce. This darkness can be semi-solid and grapple targets and even pull them towards him and into the pocket dimension if he wills it. Tyrone can see in the dark whether his own or natural darkness. Those within his darkforce field feel numbing cold and if Tyrone wishes it, they will experience terrifying visions of their own greatest fears and nightmares. The maximum size of the darkness field that he can create is roughly the size of a large warehouse. At least several hundred feet in diameter. This darkness can slowly drain lifeforce energy if people are exposed for too long. Tandy Bowen's (Dagger) light power makes her immune to the numbing cold, fear effects, and the life drain.

Intangibility:
Tyrone's body is mostly intangible. If he does not force himself to be physical, he is usually made up entirely of the energy within his pocket dimension. As such, he can pass through walls and barriers, and physical objects and effects will pass right through him. Usually directly into his pocket dimension, not passing beyond the limits of his cloak. He -can- concentrate and manifest parts of his body to be solid, and when doing so, he can be harmed. He can force himself fully physical with a mighty use of his willpower. This can be maintained for quite some time. But while he is fully manifested, many of his former physical limitations are also applied, such as his stutter.

Pocket Dimension:
Cloak's body is the portal into a pocket dimension that is linked peripherally to the Darkforce Dimension. The energy in this realm absorbs light and life essence to sustain itself. The large cloak that he wears has been bonded to this energy and helps to define the limits of the portal size and to contain the power within its folds. In reality, it is Tyrone's will that does this, but the cloak serves as a focus for his will, a talisman to let him control the energy. He can transport objects and people into this realm and when inside, he can 'allow' the darkness to feed upon the people within it. But he can also control it to tell it to not feed such.

Strength:
While not superhuman, the darkforce that infused him allows him to, when manifested in a solid form, lift in excess of 300 pounds.

Sustenance:
Tyrone does not subsist on normal food any more. He is sustained purely by the Darkforce, and by the lifeforce he consumed via the darkforce.

Teleportation:
Tyrone can use his link to the Darkforce Dimension to cross himself and anyone shrouded in his darkness into that realm where a few short steps can cover miles and miles. There is very little limitation to the range of his teleport powers, and he can carry others with. Usually, if Dagger is present, her power can protect those traveling within Tyrone's body from the effects of the Darkforce.

Combat:
While not formally trained in martial arts, Tyrone has a natural flare for clost combat. His mildly augmented strength helps there, but mostly his abilities focus upon grappling and interposing himself between attackers and those he wishes to defend.

Stealth:
While not exactly trained in subterfuge and stealth, Tyrone is very naturally talented at such endeavors. The fact that he can merge entirely with shadows and darkness, and that he can be intangible, does tend to help him remain undetected.

Detective O'reilly:
NYPD Detective Brigid O'Reilly has helped TJ and Tandy a few times, off books of course. The fact that the two of them focus on removing criminals from the streets sits well with her. The fact that they are untrained, unlicensed vigilantes does -not- sit well with her. But they have a tenuously friendly relationship.

Father Delgado:
Father Delgado: The priest has given succor and support to Cloak and Dagger a few times. He likes to think he is trying to save Dagger's angelic light from the darkness of Cloak's corruption. But he helps them both at her insistence that they both deserve it.

The Cloak:
While Tyrone chose a makeshift cloak seemingly at random, the Darkforce Dimension transformed this into THE CLOAK. This cloak has been manifested by others in the past. Whether true or not, the Cloak has been referred to as the Darkforce Portal Guardian for this world. As such, it cannot truly be destroyed, and it is intrinsically linked to Tyrone, and even if separated from him, it will find its way back to him.

Co-Dependency:
Tyrone has developed an emotional bond with Tandy Bowen (Dagger) to the point where he seems to rely upon her presence to be a moderating influence upon him. She feels like a part of him and without her around, he loses much of his confidence and bravado in time. This does not mean that he cannot go visit someone for a few hours or a couple of days. The knowledge that Dagger will always be there for him sustains him emotionally. So long as he knows that he can just go back to her any time, he can function. But it really is a depressingly co-dependent relationship that he has with her.

Hunger:
The biggest weakness in Tyrone's life is the hunger of the Darkforce Dimension. It affects him much like an addiction that he is incapable of breaking. The longer he goes without feeding life and light to the Darkforce, the worse the hunger will become. At worst, it can cause him physical pain and cause him to lose control and feed upon living beings. Fighting this hunger has become part of the core of who Tyrone has become.

Stutter:
Whenever he is manifested fully, he has a terrible stutter that makes it difficult to understand him when he speaks. The fact that when he is not manifested physically, it vanishes is an indicator that could be all in his head. But it could also mean that by trancending his physical form, he has eliminated the physical effects of the stutter.
