Timeline

Timeline:
* 1995: Born to a single mother in Massachusetts. Raised by her mother and grandmother. Her grandmother tells her stories of being a heroine in the 1940s.
* 2003: After her grandmother passes away Vicky is left the Heart of Gold pendant reputedly made from Mayan gold from the Lost City. It's said to imbue the wearer with the power of gods.
* 2003: Vicky wears the pendant and gains the powers of flight, strength, and near invulnerability. She attempts to stop a bank robbery and is shot by a ray gun. The pendant fractures nearly killing her. She goes into a coma.
* 2005: Vicky wakes from her coma. Her mother is convinced her memories are due to her grandmothers old stories. Vicky is sent to psychiatrists to rid her of her delusions.
* 2013: Vicky graduates high school and starts college.
* 2017: Vicky's mother dies in a car crash. When cleaning out old boxes she finds the remnants of the Heart of Gold pendant brought home from the hospital. Testing to see if it worked or if she was crazy, she places the pieces against her chest. The pendant reforms with the fractured pieces lodged in her rib bones becoming part of her.
* 2017: Vicky takes a hiatus from college to begin learning to use her powers and fight.
* 2020: Vicky moves to New York to pursue her career as an artist and sculptor. She takes the alias Maven to fight crime.

Personality

Creative:
Her creativity extends outside of her artistic pursuits. The way she looks at problems and attempts to solve them often shows her creativity far more than her art.

Empathic:
Years of therapy since childhood has led her to become introspective about her own motivations in life. This also makes her try to understand what others may be thinking, or feeling as well. She's no therapist, but that doesn't stop her from attmepting to help others the way she has been.

Optimistic:
Vicky is an optimist in the widest sense. When you've lived your life being told that part you remember was all made up, only to learn you were right all along? It tends to put you in a good mindset. She's always looking on the brighter side of things if she can if only because she refuses to let the naysayers of the world drag her down again.

Enhanced Endurance:
She has above average human stamina/endurance. She could pull multiple all-nighters, and then run a marathon for instance. It doesn't change her speed, just her ability to have energy to do tasks. The harder the task, the quicker she runs out of energy, but she still has more than most.

Enhanced Strength:
Above average strength for a powerless human. Her strength is at the level she could lift the front end of, or part of, a tanker truck. She would not be able to lift it entirely or throw it.

Flight:
When the Golden Aura is active, she's able to fly under her own means. Her flight speed is around 25 to 30 mph. This ability is only available to her when she has activated her Golden Aura power.

Golden Aura:
A transluscent golden light that surrounds her when her powers are active. It almost seems to shine off of her making her seem as if she's glowing. It allows her to become physically invulnerable to attack. It is weak to energy or light based attacks however.

Martial Arts:
Though no where near a master by any means, she's been diligently studying Judo and mixed martial arts for the past several years to bring her up to a capable fighter level.

Sculpting:
Art therapy turned into a hobby and career. She's a skilled sculptor fond of using clay, ceramics, and gold in her peices.

Costume:
The costume itself is nothing special. It's a well tailored suit of white and gold, boots, and gold bracer that are more for show than anything. More a tribute to other heroines. It's not a special material of any type at this point. It's typically protected by her Golden Aura when active as it rests against her skin. Otherwise it's just to help hide her identity a bit.

Wealth:
Not many people remember the Harrington name though they have always been considered 'old money.' The last few generations have done very well with the stock market and other investments making it so Vicky would never have to work a day in her life if she chose.

Weaknesses

Easy Target:
When her Golden Aura is active she emits a glow that makes it quite easy to see where she's located. This is especially evident at night making it quite easy to locate her.

Energy Weapons:
The Heart of Gold pendant makes her virtually invulnerable to physical attacks. Energy or light based weapons cut right through the protective aura it casts. While it may allow her enough protection to survive such an attack, it won't deflect or repulse it. She's vulnerable to all such attacks.

Rookie Hero:
Vicky might have tried to prepare herself as much as possible, but she still lacks actual experience in the heroing department.
