Zap

The street label for the narcotic known as ZAP stands for Zootoxic Acid Psychogalvanide. Zap is the hypothalamic fluid of the extinct Madripoorian spider monkey. Effects include a euphoric rush often described as the absolute confidence that one can do literally anything, accompanied with an acute sense of hyper-awareness. Side effects include lowered inhibitions and cardiovascular/metabolic stress. Abuse can lead to arrhythmias and deregulation of hormone production.

ZAP is largely synthesized now and marketed as the much more concentrated street drug 'Thunderbolt'. Organic ZAP is expensive and difficult to procure, coming from illegally-operated harvesting farms with cloned spider monkeys or hybrids.
