Zeta Beam

A Zeta Beam is a class of (relatively short-range) interplanetary teleporter. These devices function similarly to a Boomtube, piggy-backing off the network of interconnected energy that forms the mental network of the Demiurge.

Unlike Boomtubes, Zeta Beams do not create a portal or wormhole. A bubble of space-time is folded off and the exit vector for it transferred to another location nearly instantaneously. Zeta Beams only work if there is both a sending and receiving unit in place. Characteristic neutrino energy outputs and Gamma Ray leaks make it nearly impossible to hide the activation of a Zeta Beam transfer unit.
