Owner Pose
April O'Neil April doesn't have anything going on this Valentines Day so she sent out some texts to see if anyone wanted to hang out. Mikey took her up on the offer!

Pizza was purchased, skateboard was stuffed in to backpack, and April ended up in the right place at the right time.

Now, in a yellow and white hoodie, blue jeans, and some black and yellow tennis / running shoes, April holds her Bumblebee skateboard in front of her and smiles over at the one she'd come to meet tonight.

"What up, Valentine?" She asks him before she twirls her board in front of her, her hair tied back behind her head, and her Roller Derby helmet hanging from her belt on her hip.
Michelangelo     What was Michelangelo going to do this Valentine's Day? Play video games, of course. How does that make it different than any other day? It doesn't. Mikey's always playing video games.

Text messages from favorite reporters, though? That takes total precedence over the video game tourney he was going to have with himself. Which is a lot different than the video game tourneys he usually has with his brothers. Sadly, they haven't really been around that much lately. Stomping Foot is a big job.

Mikey is all smiles when April shows up with pizza and ready for their skate date. He's got his own board leaned against his leg and is leaning in this weird cool way that he's seen on skater magazines.

"Diggin' the fit, April! Nice!" Mikey raises a hand for celebratory high five+threeing. "Please tell me you brought one of those weird heart shaped pizzas. They look so weird but so delicious."
April O'Neil April is of course quick to deliver that high five plus three!

She then motions to the box of pizza sitting on the foldout chair over the fancy skate park setup here in the undercity!

"Of course I did. They made two of them special just for me." She says with a grin while she admires the big turtle fella, all happy faced and stuff.

"I figured things might be kinda quiet in the homefront tonight. I'm sure Raph is out doing fitey stuff, Leo is probably lost in training, and Donnie.... well... likely knee deep in a raid or something." She flashes another smile while she ties her dark auburn hair back behind her shoulders.

"Oh yeah." She says then as she pushes her board aside, then crouches to reach in her bag before she pulls out a two liter of Orange Crush soda that she sets on the second foldout chair, along with two plastic cups. "See? I got us setup goood!" She says again smiling for him.
Michelangelo "This might be the greatest night of my life."

Michelangelo looks absolutely stunned. Either at April or the Soda or the Pizza or the entire combination of everything that is going on at this moment. There are few rare moments in the life of a teenage turtle where he can say that he's this content and this happy. Mikey files this one away in case he ever goes to Neverland or something and needs some happy thoughts.

"Yeah, I dunno what they're all doing. But that just means more April for me!" Mikey grins and folds right into his joking, "And pizza... and soda..."

Mikey kicks his board up into his hand with a nod towards the dopest skatepark in (under) the city. "Shall we, My Valentine?" Mikey offers an arm as if he were about to escort April to the dance floor. For Michelangelo, this skatepark might as well be his dance floor.
April O'Neil "WE shall." April says with a curtsy before she takes his offered arm. With a laugh she is escorted out on to the skate park floor. "Now, I've been recently re-introduced to roller skating, so I'm a bit more confident on wheels. But I'm still no where close to what you guys are on these things, so don't tempt me in to trying one of those ramp things, or the big curvey things like..." She nods over at the half-pipe setup.

"This is my speed." She says then as she motions to the little ramps and small jumps.

In fact, that's where she drops her board and then bumps shoulders with him before she starts to put her helmet on, pulling the chin strap under it to snap it closed as she puts her blue eyes on him and grins big. "If I fall, well... when I fall, you're not allowed to laugh at me either, okay?" She asks then. "It's the One Rule to Rule them All!" And with that said, she puts her foot on the board, and rolls it forward and back a little!
Michelangelo Michelangelo sprinkles innocence all over his face, dropping his board and standing on it with the ease of standing on solid ground. All of the turtles are skateboard enthusiasts but Mikey really takes to skating like a turtle to pizza. It might as well be in his blood or something. Heck, with the way that Ooze worked, maybe it is.

"Don't worry, April. I can put myself on a little cruise control." Almost to demonstrate, he holds out his hands for April while slowly rolling his board from side to side under his feet. He's so fluid on this thing. He hasn't even taken his eyes of April.

"I won't let you fall." Mikey sounds earnest with that promise. Maybe a little too earnest so he follows it up with his signature jokester tone, "That'd make me a totally horrible ninja!"
April O'Neil This of course draws a laugh from April who adjusts her hoodie around her waist, then starts to tentatively test the waters out with her new skateboard that Harley got her for Christmas. "Oh. I know you guys are the best Ninjas that /I/ have ever personally met. So I have faith, lots and lots of faith." She says to him with a playful grin before she is rolling around, and reaching her hands out toward his. "See? I got some moves!" She states, making the board's nose dance back and forth as she puts more weight on her back foot than the front one.

"My cousins and I used to skate around their driveway, cause they had one all done up in nice black asphalt. It was super smoooooth. Like your moves." She says with a big smile at him.

"But yeah, I dunno how you guys learned to do those big tricks. I do /not/ have the bravery for that. I like my bones to be, ya know, not completely shattered." She adds while her eyes drop down to her own feet as she gets comfortable on the board in this fancy hidden skating park!
Michelangelo "Well, when you're walking around with a giant shell on your back..." Michelangelo skates past April's vision with a slice of pizza in his hand.

"Falling down..." Michelangelo skates back the other direction doing a handstand on the board.

"Just doesn't seem like such a big deal." Michelangelo skates back in the opposite direction again, this time doing the Karate Kid Crane Kick pose.

His playful showing off done, Michelangelo skates himself back alongside April and gives her a thumbs up for her skills. "Maybe we should make this Skate Date a regular thing. I can show you all my tricks of the trade. And pretty soon, you'll be skating as good as, well, at least Donnie!" Minimal shots fired at the purple one that isn't here to defend himself.
April O'Neil Every different pose that the talented turtle puts on display gets a little more laughter from April before she's shaking her head while she just rolls around in a circle, pretty much only able to adjust the direction of the board and stay stable enough on it on smooth surfaces.

"Now you're just showin' off." She says back at him with a big smile before she shakes her head gently at his jab at Donnie. "Now now. I seem to recall Donatello doing that ultra dangerous move where he flipped over the pipe and landed back on the board... I don't recall any of the rest of you pulling that one off. Raph even sent his board flying in to the old smelly garbage." She teases as she skates over to the chairs again to pour them both a cup of orange soda.

"Surely I'm better than Splinter at least." She quips before looking around. "I hope he's not listening..." She says before offering him a drink and taking one herself.
Michelangelo "Me? Showing off?" This time Michaelangelo is doing the backstroke on his board. How is he moving around so fast. It has to be some sort of Ninja Skills or something. It's not like this is a cartoon or something.

"Oh so we're going to bring up that moment? Oh, okay. I see how it is." Michelangelo laughs as he points a finger in April's direction to defend himself. "I totally could've made it. But, if you recall, I had a ton of pizza before that dare. It's not my fault I wiped out." Mikey mutters this next part, "... seven times." Back to a higher volume, "Anyway!"

Michelangelo looks around when the invocation of Splinter's name happens. He's right up next to April, skating backwards in front of her. "Shhhhh. Don't summon him. He's better than all of us combined." Michelangelo's eyes dart around like he's going to see his Pops show up out of nowhere. He then leans in a little closer for some whispering, "I think he cheats. He uses his tail for balance." Sounds like something Mikey tells himself because he can't believe Splinter skates better than him!
April O'Neil April is left laughing again at this display from the orange brandished turtle. She shakes her head as she sets her cup of soda down before she uses her phone, and her bluetooth speaker, to get some music playing too. "So he's like Master Yoda even more than we all already call him?" She asks as she turns back around to see him doing more silly tricks. "I can't tell if you're trying to impress me, or shame me." She says with a big smirk at the turtle.

Once more though she skates on out to the easy parts of the underground park, and even goes down one of the little slopes before she heads toward one of the inclines, and gets a few inches up it before she steps back off the board and tries to grab it with her foot before it rolls off. She's very dainty, very 'girly' and a notorious clutz who is trying not to butt plant on the cement floor.

"And did you just insult pizza?" She asks as she glances back at him. "Does this mean you're ready to eat salads before we go on these Skate Dates? Maybe so we can shed a few pounds?" She teases him.
Michelangelo Michelangelo just looks like he cannot believe how good Splinter is. "I swear, I don't know how he does it. He won't show me either. So mean." This must be something that Mikey aspires to. Perhaps even considers it the plateau of skaterdom. "If they'd let a rat compete in the X-Games, he'd totally win the whole thing."

Mikey's in the middle of grabbing another slice of the heart-shaped pizza when April drops some facts. He gasps and pretends to cover the pizza's 'ears'. "Salads? How dare you!" Mikey teases. "You're going to make my favorite dish cry, you know." Mikey grins and returns to chowing down on that pizza slice.

In the next moment, Mikey's just standing on the side and watching April skate around. He's just admiring her and her cute skating skills. "So you're saying we /will/ get a second Skate Date, huh?" Mikey stands up a little bit straighter after tossing that query out there. Maybe he's doing better at showing April a good V-Day than he thought.
April O'Neil April is trying that same slope then incline move again, this time doing her best to stay ON the board when it comes back down from the incline. She is laughing again at what he says while not looking in his direction since she's watching her feet, and the slopes around her. She makes the return slope down move, then spins her board around to do a 180 before she steps off it so she doesn't fall, one foot still planted on the board though so it doesn't roll away.

"Hey, I've been scouting out the best skate parks in the area. I know one up in Harlem that I bet you haven't been to, and I know one even north of that that I saw at a fancy boat race last summer. If you wanna shred up some rich people's fancy skate park some time." She says then, looking up to him to smile big and brightly.

She then drops her eyes back down on to the board and starts to push off again.

"Oh, and some friends online recommended a old skater movie to me that I downloaded. It's got that guy from the Robin Hood movie, that you guys like? Christian Slater.... God that is such a skater-dude name... But yeah, its called Gleaming in the... pool? I dunno. It's super old."
Michelangelo "Wait a minute. What the shell?!"

Mikey kicks his board down and skates back down into the pit and ends up zooming off in the direction of April. He looks like he's trying to catch her so that he can look her in the eyes for the next part of this very important question.

"April. Are you telling me. That /Christian Slater/..." Yup, definitely one of Mikey's favorite actors of all time. "Is in a /skater/ movie?!" Michelangelo looks like he's about to faint or something. "April, please, you gotta' get us that movie. I need to see it."

Michelangelo then catches up to the rest of what she was saying. Though they seem to pale in comparison to Mikey's need for seeing Christian Slater on a skateboard. "Yeah, the New York Skate Park Tour sounds awesome too."
April O'Neil April is rolling toward a tiny replica of a half pipe, its like a one-tenth-pipe, when he intercepts her and starts to urgently ask for this film. She pauses and looks at him from the edge while her hands go up to adjust the helmet on top of her head. She laughs softly. "I think that's who they said it was. I remember him because he was in a movie my dad liked too, the uh... Broken Arrow, with Travolta... who my /mom/ really liked." She smirks then before she teeters on the edge of the tiny skate danger trial!

"I got it on my laptop at home. We can watch it later if you'd like, or I can e-mail it to you and you can watch it whenever ya want." She states with a smile toward him before she steps on the board again and rolls down the incline before going up the other side and back again.

She is about to cheer herself on when the board flies out from under her though, and she yelps in freight, arms flailing!
Michelangelo "Gotcha'!"

Michelangelo is right there. He's not on his board but his board's not far but he's right there with mutant turtle arms to make sure that April doesn't fall. He made a promise, after all. Not even the dreaminess of Christian Slater could distract him from one of the main duties of being a Ninja Turtle. At least in his book.

Protect April O'Neil.

"And yes, we should totally watch this Gleaming The Cube thing together. I can explain to you the finer points of the Christian Slater fandom. And also how Broken Arrow was such an awesome movie."
April O'Neil April falls back in to the turtle's arms, and then rights herself as she adjusts the helmet on her head before turning around to smile up at him. She reaches a hand up to pat the side of his face. "You're a savior, to be sure." She says before moving to stop her board from doing the back and forth tricks that she was trying to do, only without her holding the board back!

"Christian Slater movie it is then. I think Harley is out with her dates tonight anyway. She's like on three of them, or something. She says it increases her chance of finding true love, or just a really good time... whatever that means." She mutters the last couple bits of that.

Back at her drink now, she picks it up, then sits down to enjoy some of the heart shaped pizza herself.

"This is good." She mutters as she chews. "Not enough pineapple, but, I won't press that issue tonight, since this is OUR night, not MY night." She says at him with a big grin again.
Michelangelo Mikey's on his way back over to the food and drink, snatching up his board along the way. "Well, next time, ask for extra pineapple!" Michelangelo snatches up a slice of that same pizza. "DUH!" And then Mikey bites into it. Chew chew. Chew. Hrm.

"... okay, yeah, definitely needs more pineapple."
