Bart Allen Bart Allen has called Irie, and told her, he was bringing someone over to the tower he would like to met. HE asked her if Wally was around to bring him with her, but if not he would catch him another time. He figured now was as a good a time as any for Emiko to show him some archery stuff, and the roof of the tower is as good as any place. Bart carries Emiko up onto the roof, straight up the side of the building, and then is gone for a moment, coming back with a duffle and some targets he sets up at the edge of the roof, and stands back hmmming softly.
Irie West     Irie told Bart that she hasn't seen Wally, but will pass on that he wanted to speak with him. When her cousin named the time and place, she was there, in a proverbial flash.

"Hey cuz!" Irie says cheerfully. "Who's your friend?"
Emiko Queen Emiko has her bow, her quiver, and her skill. It's also a good thing she has no fear of heights because Titans Tower is not exactly short! Standing at the edge, she's scuffing lightly at the roofing to make sure there's enough grip to properly set her feet. The sudden appearance of Irie doesn't seem to ruffle the young woman at all, merely causing her to look up from her preparations with a smile.

"Hello. I'm Emiko Queen. Also Red Arrow. I'm going to guess you're Irie rather than Wally." There's amusement in her eyes and a teasing curve to her smile.
Bart Allen Bart Allen hmms and says "We might want to put the targets against something, I mean if I miss, I don't want to hurt someone down on the ground." He looks over and heads over "Hey Irie, this is Emiko, Emiko is " He blushes a bit as he says this still not used to saying it "Emiko is my girl friend. Emiko, this is my cousin Irie, she and I got a lot in common."
Irie West     Irie looks thoughtful. "I guess I /could/ have been Wally, if Wally got caught in a parallel dimension where he's a teenaged girl." She shrugs, "As it is I'm his daughter from the future, as Bart probably told you already."

"So /you're/ Red Arrow. I saw the messages on the t-comms saying that you're a-okay. And if you're dating Bart then you're definitely a-okay in /my book." She starts, realizing what she just said. "Wait, you're his /girlfriend/?" She turns a brilliant grin to Bart, "Way to go, cuz!"

"If you can't find anything to rest them up against I can always catch 'em before they fly off the roof," she offers.
Emiko Queen Smiling towards Bart, she winks at him, then looks back to Irie. "Yeah, I'm his girlfriend. I didn't know he was Impulse when I asked him out, and he got a good surprise when I showed up here as Red Arrow. But you know how that superhero life can be. Surprises, good and bad. These just happened to be good ones!"

The question of the arrows has her pursing up her lips slightly, "If we had something to back the targets with, even plywood, that would work." Her gaze flicks to Irie, "You're not going to try your hand? It can be pretty fun. Probably not quite as fun as circling the globe or time travelling, but its still pretty fun."
Bart Allen Bart Allen hmms and nods, and is off again, and while Irie knows it takes him a moment in flash time, to Emiko, it is just a moment, he has lumber nails and two hammers. He tosses one of the hammers to Irie, as he starts to build the back drop for the targets.
Irie West     Irie purses her lips. "Last time I tried circling the globe as fast as I could I ended up time traveling. Don't wanna do that again. I might end up in the stone age! Or dinosaurs!" She suddenly grins at the prospect, "Okay. Dinosaurs would be cool."

"I haven't found anybody I can date yet," she admits, "but then dad and Donna tells me I'm too young to date anyway. It's cool though that you two are dating! And that you know each other's secret identity, so you don't have to pretend you don't know each other when you're in costume!"

"I guess I /could/ try out shooting arrows. I could be like.... *bakadabakadabakada!* machine gun! Nobody would stand a chance!"

She deftly catches the hammer, and between herself and Bart is able to erect a backdrop in no time flat.
Emiko Queen "I can't imagine finding a significant other of any sort is easy for any of us. And especially anyone that comes from and alternate reality, future timeline, past timeline, or other dimension." Emiko ticks off the options on her fingers and gives a shrug, "Bart got lucky. I saw him on the ESU campus and thought he was cute, so I cajoled him into helping me find the admissions office. Then into dinner." She winks at Bart and sets her bow down to pull two more from her duffle, both normal composite shortbows.

Once the pair are done with the backdrop, she holds a bow out to each of them. "Okay. These aren't super fancy superhero bows, they have a good draw so I hope you're both up on your upper body workouts!" She flashes a grin.
Bart Allen Bart Allen smiles and says "Well, I think we both do more work on leg day but we aren't to bad on upper body. You will find the right guy with time Irie, you have plenty of time to find one. You might get lucky like I did, I was just eating on campus and she came by looking for directions." He reaches over and rubs Emiko's back and says I was a bit stunned when found her knocking on the door here.
Irie West     Irie flexes to show off her superior musculature! Just kidding. She's as skinny as a stick! She takes one of the bows, and pulls on the string testing it out, but it slips from her fingers with a *twang!* "Ouch!" she says, flapping her hand from the sting of it. "These are really strong."

She grins as they retell the tale of how they met. "Aww! That's sweet! My dad met mom when he-" she suddenly clamps her mouth closed with both hands, eyes going wide. "Nevermind! Can't say."
Emiko Queen Emiko pecks a kiss to his cheek and grins, "After I found out he was Impulse, and a speedster, and just HOW fast you guys are used to moving? That's when I knew he was a keeper." She grins at Irie, "He walked for me. Rode the subway. Even though I'm sure it took forever to him, he did it just to spend time with me. That's impressive. And believe me, I dated some real douches and assholes before I met Bart. You ask Ollie, he'll go on at -length- about my string of idiot exes." She bumps her hip against Bart's and smiles, "So yeah, wait til you find someone worth slowing down for."

Then she's pushing a bow into Bart's hands and grinning, "Now get behind the line and draw on the bow like you have an arrow there so I can make sure your form is good." Turning to Irie, she smiles, "It's okay. I get it. Future stuff. Bart does the same thing sometimes." She moves and motions for Irie to step up next to Bart. "Okay, now do the same thing, just pull back on the bowstring like there's an arrow there and hold it so I can check your form or lessen the draw on the bow if it's too much."
Bart Allen Bart Allen nods to Emiko, and takes the bow, and he actually does the bit where the pull is up and down and then lowering the bow to aim. It seems he has seen some archery in his time, maybe it is Roy or someone else, but Bart has at least seen what he is supposed to do. He has his face turned just enough the string should not catch him but may want to move it a bit more out
Irie West     "So he's not moving 'too fast' for you?" Irie says with a huge grin. "Eh? Get it? 'Too fast?' Because he's a speedster.... yeah. Ahem. Okay."

"Yeah. When I first got here I was doing everything at super speed," she explains. "And then dad and Donna told me that I had to attend school so I could practice doing things at normal speed. Which is, like, bleah." She gets herself into position behind the line and draws the bow back like she's seen Roy and Kate do. "But it's good practice and I've met a lot of really good friends there."
