Slade Wilson It was a good day.

Slade wasn't on any active contracts, instead having recently returned from a job over in South America. A big time warlord tried to bite off a little bit more than they could chew, and one of his own allies hired Slade's services to get rid of the guy. He's been taken care of since then, andh e landed back in the States last night. So, since he's back alive and well - and with no new injuries to show for it - he sends a text to Felicity.

'Felicity, I'm down in the park if you want to say hello. I miss the beauty of your eyes and the look of you. I miss you. Come visit me, so I can kiss you and walk with you through the park.
- S'

Yes, Slade still signs off all of his messages. He's getting better about that, but some of that old training comes around. And now? Now Slade waits. Dressed decently, he waits on one of the park benches.
Felicity Smoak During the day, it's work above ground, so when Felicity gets the text, her phone is beside her on the table, next to her coffee, her small pile of chocolate wrappers, and cup of half-chewed pencils. She's got her phone not only on 'ring' but also 'vibrate', so when the text announcement comes up, it *buzzzes* as it dances across her table, making her jump.

Grabbing the phone the moment she realizes exactly what it was that interrupted her work, or reverie, she's not telling, she checks it quickly. A smile rises on her face, and holding the phone up in two hands, she quickly sends a text back,

<<And I won't even ask for a pretzel. I'll be there in a few. Need to close up.>>

Setting the phone down, Felicity does just that; her systems are shut down, her tablets, everything that might have sensitive information (which is everything) is locked away from prying eyes. Grabbing her coat, she's out the door.

Felicity is dressed for work; skirt suit, blonde hair pulled up in a pony tail, complete with a little ribbon to make it that much cuter. Wrapping her coat around her, she looks up at the cloudless sky and takes a deep breath. It is a nice day. Now to locate Slade, and it'll be just that much nicer.
Slade Wilson Slade's phone buzzes with a sweet vibration. He picks it out of his pocket and he gives it a glance. There's a potential client from Wintergreen about a contract in Zimbabwe, but Slade isn't worrying about that kind of work right now. He smiles a bit at the text message he gets from Felicity. Then his eye is constantly on the watch.

He finds her before she finds him. How her skirt suit covers her and gives her that professional edge, a coat keeping her nice and warm. Slade looks at her and it's like all focus leaves him. He gets up from where he is and he starts to move.

Felicity may suddenly find a hand curling itself at her waist to rest at her hip if she permits the contact, and a chin leaned down to rest on her shoulder. Classic Slade. "Hey." He greets her quietly, less to be silent and not be heard and more so he can give her that intimacy of close contact.

"You look beautiful."
Felicity Smoak Felicity doesn't have a long search in front of her; and even with her keeping eyes out (and glasses on!) is no match for a keen-sighted former Special Ops man. As he comes up to her, the hand she feels that wraps about her waist, and the familiar sound of his voice brings that 'jump start' down to something less startled, and more, well, a laugh brings her heart back down from her throat to her chest, where it belongs.

The smile that had been playing in the background in anticipation has grown brighter at the familiar sound, and she turns around to face him. She looks at his face, his eye, her eyes echoing that smile, "I don't know if I'll ever get tired of hearing that."
Slade Wilson Bad to firmly grab someone when they least expect it and better to move forward with a soft hand and a kind smile. Slade was happy with Felicity, happy with the memories and the closeness they shared with one another.

"I know I wont."

Then Slade goes for bold. He leans in immediately as if to greet her with a kiss of passion, if she permits the contact. He's missed her, and when he could get on a secure channel on his 'business trips', he texted her that he'd greet her such.
Felicity Smoak Felicity does allow for the turn and the kiss is returned with as much fervor, her arms rising up to lay and linger at his shoulders, her hands playing with the soft, short hair at the nape of his neck. A pair of (non teenaged) lovers in the park, move on, nothing to see!

One hand comes down to stroke his cheek even as she lowers herself from tippy-toes. Blue eyes look into his own again, and there's a question that hangs there before it's spoken. "How long do I have you now?" There's that pause before, "I mean, I'm not looking to get rid of you. More, looking to see how long I can keep you before you have to go again."

Again, she takes that breath and actually exhales, "I've missed you."
Slade Wilson "Mmmm...."

Slade's hand lifts to caress the softness of her neck, the whisps of her hair as their lips play their romance and write their poetry. Slade didn't give a rat's ass who saw them, who observed. He was hers, and she was his. Finally, they part from one another, and Slade smiles at her as he looks into her eyes. "A while yet." He answers, his nose lifting to brush her own.

"Hopefully long enough. I won't take any jobs for awhile. I want to be with you. YOu make me feel...peace." Slade tells her with a bit of a blush rising to his cheeks, though its one he quickly strives to silence lest he show his own weakness.

She was his weak point.

The hand on his cheek makes him smile a moment, and he holds her close. "How have you been, Felicity? Have you been well?"
Felicity Smoak In the park, with all that surrounds them, her eyes are only for him; the handsome soldier that's come back to her. Keeping his promise to her, just as he said he would. The pronouncement of not taking any jobs 'for awhile' brings that bright smile a little brighter, if it was at all possible. "Good." Is that a reaction to his remaining home, or to his confession, or both? Or all of it?

Felicity is more than happy to be held; there's a feeling of warmth, peace and protection in it. It's a place where the world simply can't get her. The beginning of the answer is as she is held, "I've been okay," she begins. "Work and work. Eveything has been quiet. I haven't seen anything that really deserves my attention." Her pause is something to be expected, and now is no exception, "I mean, you know.. just, quiet. Thea's been kinda quiet, Oliver's been kinda quiet." She nods her head, the smile turning self-deprecating, "Yup. Quiet. Did I happen to mention 'quiet'?"

Felicity takes a half-step back and reaches for his hand, but certainly not away from contact. "It's strange. Like, something is going on but you just can't see it. Which is really bizarre for me." Because she can see virtually anything. Virtually.
Slade Wilson "Good."

Slade repeats the words with no small amount of joy in his tone. He smiles at her, how she stays close to his warmth, the protection he offers her just by being near. NOBODY is stupid enough to mess with Slade or his paramour, and when she reaches for his hand, he accepts it, fingers intertwining to solidify the pair's grip with one another. He hums ever so slightly as she mentions how she's been. "Good, good. Means it's been calm. Now we just have to discover why it's been a little too quiet."

Slade tells her with a smile. "Not every secret place has cameras. I can investigate, see what's going on. My feet are on the ground, and I can go where it's not safe for you to." Slade tells her with a warmth to his voice.

"But, quiet means that we will have time together. I would like it very much if I was able to stay with you...or you with me...during my stay. If that's alright." He tells her with a small smile.
Felicity Smoak "Exactly," Felicity underscores. "I don't trust it. At all. Never really did, like, ever." Her fingers squeeze his as they pair, which brings her closer, and it's easy and comfortable.

Looking up at him, Felicity shakes her head, and her tones rise in total disagreement born of concern, "Oh no. I don't like that at all. I need to be able to see, be able to at least give you some sort of warning, of.." Realizing that she may have gotten a little bit too loud, she quiets again, finishing with a hoarse, theatric whisper, "I don't like it. That's why I have cameras put up."

Still, Felicity is a little mollified, and as they walk, she seems to consider the options. "I can't call out of work for your stay, so.. I guess my place?" Even though she hasn't yet met any of his friends, colleagues, or.. well, anyone.
Slade Wilson "Silence is a bit unsettling. Makes me wonder if there's a sniper bullet about to fly by my scalp." Slade adds on to the potential uncomfortability and paranoia that Felicity was experiencing when it came to not being able to see him. Much the same, how she stays close to him, it causes Slade to move side by side with her.

As if he never wished to leave her side ever again.

Though her reaction in total disagreement of letting him handle the situation is met with a bit of a raised brow from Slade. "You care deeply about this." Slade tells her as if in observation. "Alright. We'll play this your way." Slade lifts a hand as if to caress her cheek. Though she tells him that he can stay with her.

"Thank you, Felicity. I'd like that. Coming home to you is...well, it's a blessing in no small part." Slade smiles at her.

A moment of silence then. Slade has no accomplices. Only Wintergreen.
Felicity Smoak "Makes me wonder if they've found a new channel I haven't keyed in on yet. I know they haven't, because their kind is always noisy. It's just.. eerie." Felicity shakes her head quickly to dispel the webs that threaten to stick those thoughts in place. She does look at him quickly, adding, "Oh don't say that. I don't think I could.." handle that? No.

"No one is going to.." But, of course they'll try. Slade is so much more than she can even begin to guess at. Either that, or she's being deliberately blind; she is a computer goddess, after all.

Felicity does nod her head definitively when Slade defers, "Okay, because I do. Care deeply. About you, about this. This is what's called working as a team. You get intel in your ear, and you'll know everything that is going on so you can make the best move." So there.

His genuine affection, genuine appreciation for her decision, at least on the place where he'll be staying during his time 'off' gains a renewed smile. "I like the company."
