Emma Frost	It was a high quality establishment. The type where you could get in with a few whispers to the right person and be considered the right 'type' to get in. The type where you went not necessarily because of the food or to be seen but just to let people -know- you were the type who could go to these sorts of places. Emma Frost was sitting over at one of the tables in it, casually listening to the waiter listing the several dozen different wines on the menu, debating whether she found him irritating enough to make him elaobrate on each one.
Hobgoblin	Roderick pulls up to the establishment in a Jade green electric Porche Taycan, The stereo on max volume bumping some Kanye West. He steps out in a silk and kashmere suit and birkin bag. Yellow and black down to his black and gold air jordans. He hands the keys to the valet. "look I memorized the milage and the battery life. so don't think about joy riding this." Roderick is already drawing dirty looks from staff and other patrons, but he's got the moeny to pay off the right people and he pays dues to be a member so like the song he was playing on the way in states. 'you can't me nothing' The older looking door man looks at him and tries to reject him on sight. "no no you better know my name is on the list or you will be fired. I don't care that from the looks of you you're 2 weeks away from retirement. Look at your dumb little list find the Name Roderick Kingsley and. Let. Me. In. I have an important meeting that can't go anything but perfect." After raising his voice and flexing on the door man The flashily dressed man makes his way to the reserved table.
Emma Frost	Emma Frost would glance over at Roderick over for a moment while almost giving him a flat glare. But.. The man occaisonally had his uses. And it was good sometimes to have a designer that could be a litlte more gauche. They alays made for good gossip and occasionally had something original with designs. And they could always have eccentricies waved off as 'artist'. Emma would givea a wave. "It's all right, he's with me."     Gesturing over at her sometimes business partner. "Roderick. It's been too long. Still in the fashion house? Or trying ot slum it as a designer?"
Hobgoblin	"You know me, I'm doing everything. Trying to take over the world. I won't stop till everyone who is anyone is wearing kinsley from head to toe." Roderick says with a smirk. he walk up to her offering his hand. "Ms Frost, how do you get more glamorous every time I see you. I wish you would let me dress you one day. you would be my most inspiring muse"
Emma Frost	Emma Frost would smile over at Roderick, "Yes, yes. Of course. Thinking you can make it big. So what is the draw at this particular incursion?" She would muse over. "Something new? Better marketing? Cheaper production? And Roderick, you can't afford me."
Hobgoblin	Roderick just smirks. "Emma, for you? I'd gladly go broke and it would be worth every cent". Cocky and persistent roderick will get the last word in even if he's rejected. "But personal things can be talked about once we've had a few drinks to loosen up. Officially I'm here for the boring stuff. Kinsley limited wants to secure a deal with Frost for fabrics and materials. something our underlings could handle but any excuse to spend time with the inimitable Emma Frost. Also I want to extend my apologiesfor the incident in manhattan where that goblin fellow all but destroyed the fashion district. I know that might have put a dent in the quarterly earns report. I know we all got hit though thankfully my store was able to remain open. So i figured why not see if through this tragedy we could forge a strong business relationship. To help each other. And the terror attack has caused a bit of a rush. Kingsley surviving the attack made us a bit of a rallying point for those fed up with the tyranny of villains."
Emma Frost	Emma Frost would glance at Roderick, "When I said you can't afford it I mean it. Your portfolio's not remotely in line if you did break yourself thin and gave everything you had." That might be a bit of an exaggeration of her own net worth versus his own.. With Emma it could be hard to tell. "And I'm sure that the fashion district will be up and running again within a week. Or do you have some sort of idea for it? Buying up some of the area when the price jumps a little bit? And I can always do my part for the little people." Emma did sometimes get into her role a bit much."
Hobgoblin	"You wound me Emma. You know I'd treat you like the goddess you are." Roderick says playing up his latin accent for effect. "Well I am expanding my store front to squeeze out some older out of touch competitors and its a terror attack in New York city. I plan to play up Kingsley being american and made from the finest american materials from Frost. It's a hack sales pitch but it works and We can eat away market share and make money off the backs of patriotic hogs that know no better than to spend their last dime on expensive things they don't need in order to show them foreigners what for" "I even reached out to the Mighty woman who stopped the goblin. I've given her free product so that she'll be seen wearing kingsley. so Tacetly the hero that saved us supports American Made Kingsley. It's quick easy money and a boost of good will to boot."
Emma Frost	Emma Frost would tsk, "I have a great many who can treat me like the goddess I am. I know what I deserve. And who is deserving of it." The tone not -quite- 'don't rise above your station', but not quite a full on rebuke. More sorts of casual. "I'm listening." Now he would have her attention over and listen. "Ah, stopped the goblin? Are we passing out sorts of party favors then to heroes? Not the worst way to go about things. Particularly if you're not going about it on a charitable edge." she would muse.
Hobgoblin	"A much more efficient and cheaper than overpaying some egomaniac celebrity to wear your brand. Most of these 'heroes' aren't well off. bribing them with product is an easy write off. They are usually appreciative and they are free publicity. why pay some egotistical actress or an athlete that could end up in some sort of scandal or legal trouble?" Roderick brags "You know me I had get it all out of the mud, so i know how to maximize my efforts. well my effeorts to woo you not included, obviously" He says with a laugh a laugh that slips a little too loud into a slight cackle witha hint of menace.
Emma Frost	Emma Frost would just smile, "Someone who actually is aware of such things. They make much better brand ambassadors after all. Particularly if they aren't aware of it at all. You just need to make a design that's recognizable enough but that won't be gaudy enough for them to realize there's a reason why. I do approve."
Hobgoblin	"Kingsley is nothing is not unique and recognizable." Roderick says clearing his throat and recomposing himself. "So as a gift and proof of concept. I'm prepaired to make a rather large donation to Xavier's school and give the students all new wardrobes and uniforms. I too support equal rights for mutants. I know its not a very popular opinion at the moment but bigotry is always on the wrong side of history and the wrong side of history is not profitable."
Emma Frost	Emma Frost would mm over, "I consider that a worthy cause, though I'm not the one to ask about it. You should talk to the Headmaster, Jean Grey. Tell her you occasionally wortk with my company on projects. She can help make sure that it's more fitting for the school's needs."
Hobgoblin	"hopefully she's less immune to my charm than you are." Roderick jokes "but I will I'll do right by them. even if Xavier and his group don't have the cleanest of public images. but sometimes those we think are the bad guys are the good guys and those who are called heroes arent." A passing thought of spider-man annoys Roderick.
Emma Frost	Emma Frost would shrug, "of course. I'ms ure that they'd be very willing to listen. Though I hardly know them beyond those lovely little charitable affairs I'm sure that they hate running as much as we do showing up for them."
Hobgoblin	"Perhaps I'll organize one for them?" Roderick says looking at his watch. "Well its been a pleasure to being in your company as it always is. I rather thought this meeting was going to go better for me, so I preemptively ordered flowers and I'd rather not be here when they arrive. So I'm going to beat my retreat and I'll have my financial people call yours to hammer out the trade deal. And as always I paid for this a had of time. your money is no good when I'm around. There are few things I long to see in this world more than Emma Frost wearing Kingsley do consider letting me style you one day" Roderick says getting up and strutting out of the club passing by the delivery guy with flowers on the way out.
Emma Frost	Emma Frost would smile, "Of course, Roderick. I'll be in touch. And do write me up a business proposal as to what your plans are for the fashion line? Get it to me and I'll review it and see if it's something htat we could partner up on. Thank you for your time and your rather.. Unique thoughts on things." Emma would go to put down a hand to indicate that hse was covering for his end of the check.
