Owner Pose
Ted Kord Ted Kord flies in through the skylight, his best girl in his arms. If it wouldn't screw up the aero-discs and possibly kill then his feet would be crossing, he's that happy. He has no idea what her feet are doing. He can't take his eyes off hers, under her hard hat as he rubs noses and engages in some revolting new romance behavior. His bots fly in behind him and immediately take position on their recharge stations.

"Hey, the kids are asleep." Apparently helping out at Damage Control in their first field test was tiring.
Joan Wright Joan was a bit mussed up from the work involved. She would have taken the hard hat off but before she had a chance to remove it and clip it onto her belt, she found herself being princess carried into the air. There's still some things to work out with the timing of the exits, but by the time they got to the Penthouse she was kind of enjoying the trip. It's not often one gets a bird's eye view of some historic buildings outside of a plane or helicopter.

She looks away from Ted as he makes the kids comment, immediately glancing over to the charging stations. "Well they were quite busy." Joan admits, "It was nice how they could go to places we normally wouldn't be able to go to so early in the inspection process."
Ted Kord Ted Kord gives Joan a head nuzzle. "It was the computer processing that used most of their power. They were facing new situations. Bailey was great in the air ducts. I need to build a bunch more of her model. Still bashful, eh?" He sets and undoes the belt hooking them together.

"I got that idea from Spidey," he says, pulling his hood and goggles off.

"Oh for... will you look at that?" He points to Bailey's charging station, and the Lego Skeets next to it. "I thought you were talking to her..."
Joan Wright Joan looks over towards the item next to the sleeping Bailey. "I did. That build is much sounder than the previous one. Pieces shouldn't fall off as easily. Also she didn't use the exterior color for the base structure either which is an improvement."

The LEGO enthusiast looks back to Ted. "Also she's learning to ask before painting nails now. I'll leave the Bits and the Bytes discussion to you."
Ted Kord Ted Kord thwaps Joan on the hardhat. "Thank you, you're too kind. I was worried I'd be the one to discuss Legos. You want to use one of the guest rooms to get cleaned up while I order dinner? What should we get?" He looks momentarily confused over what she could possibly order!

Bailey ceases her defragging to place an arm over her Skeets. Then the offline light goes back on.
Joan Wright Joan tilts her head down as the hat gets swatted. She takes a few steps away before taking the hard hat off, clipping it to her belt. "Hmm. I don't know. What do you want to eat?"
Ted Kord The answer is precluded -or preordained is it- by Bingo throwing a balled up take out menu at Ted, who grabs it. "Hmmm diner. Okay, I'm down for a triple bacon cheeseburger." He sits down with the menu held for her to see, if she sits next to him. He pats the sofa next to him.
Joan Wright "Ooh that does sound good." Joan agrees, starting to step towards the guest rooms, "If they have a smaller version of that could you order that for me? Not a kid sized one but - Well, that and fries. Unless they have the sweet potato, then get those."

She gives a smile, "Thanks."
Booster Gold A spectral sound is heard emanating from outside. Like a wail from beyond. Then it starts getting chilly in the room. Like, super chilly. Frosted breath chilly. And then, the apparition appears. Faded and white, floating with limbs cast out as if no longer subject to gravity, comes the ghost of Booster Gold.

"Teeeedddddd...why ..... why....."
Ted Kord Ted Kord nearly drops the menu at a momentary loss. Then he squints at the apparition and says, "Kordi, enact the Booster protocols. Double everything I just ordered. Order his special, two milkshakes. Ok, you'd never miss a meal by dying. Also, no flickering lights. How are you doing it?" He looks down as his breath fogs.

Bailey rises from her mount and flies over, seeking something or someone.
Joan Wright Joan who has gotten her order in starts to head back towards the guest rooms in order to freshen up. But the sound of Booster doing his ghostly aparition impression has her slowing down. Joan in her helmet haired glory looks to the image and shivers.

"Booster, stop messing with the climate control!"
Booster Gold "Stop being the fun police, Joan!" yells the real Booster from directly behind Ted's ear. Apparently he has learned how to be stealthy, in addition to projecting holograms.

Holographic Booster continues to flail and moan. "Teeeeeddd.....whyyy......."
Ted Kord Ted Kord jumps. "Remind me to make you look bad in front of your girl sometime! Actually you take care of that yourself. Wait'll you lock her in a car and need me to get her out... without destroying the car." He smirks a little and tries carefully to hug his friend.

"Good to have you back. Oh... I need to talk to... Skeets about..." he nods at Bailey still casting about. "Shut that thing off. Well done. My revenge will be epic. But you need to heal up first. Here sit down. Let me get you a foot rest. Bobo, get a foot rest."
Joan Wright "And stop stressing out the HVAC" Joan responds back, expression stern as she steps back into the room to look at Booster. It's not her prettiest moment. "I know Ted's building is a bit more advanced than other structures in the area but that doesn't mean you should abuse the settings like that. In a lesser building you could actually cause for some freeze over."

The expression lasts for a few more seconds before it breaks into a small smile, "Glad to see you moving about, Booster. How're you feeling?"
Booster Gold "Much appreciated," replies Booster, who moves over to get into the seat in a rather exaggerated looking gait that is also not particular consistent with a particular wound. It's entirely possible that he is milking this. But, nonetheless, he reclines in the seat. "Thanks for the assist, buddy."

Looking to Joan, Booster shrugs. "It can handle it. I know it can. It was built by the best."
Ted Kord Ted Kord goes over to loom over Joan, milking all three inches of his height advantage. "Whaddaya mean 'a bit' advanced? This building has more tech in it than Norad... but don't tell Norad." He folds his arms and looks grim. "I always forget he knows computers. I mean he made Skeets his b... uddy." He nods in thanks to Booster. "But seriously, stop now."
Joan Wright Joan tilts her head up to look at Ted, smiling, "Well someone has to keep you humble. And I doubt it's going to be Booster. When put together, you guys form a recursive loop of self-confidence."
Booster Gold "Is that a fancy way of saying that I give Ted big head?" asks Booster, from his recline, arms up behind his head, hands linked behind his head. "And yeah, I know more than I let on, sometimes." He snaps his fingers, and the air immediately starts to warm back up again.

"So how are you two doing? I feel like I may have missed something..."
Ted Kord Ted Kord says, "We're fine and no you didn't. She's wearing her blue shirt."
Joan Wright "And he makes yours even larger." Joan adds in, voice as sweet as can be as she's smiling. "We just got back from a job site so I still got a bit of helmet hair." She taps the stated helmet she had attached to her belt in indication. "ALTHOUGH." Her voice lowers a bit. "I think Bailey might like Skeets a smidge."

She looks between the two friends, "Ok I think you two have a lot to get caught up on. So I'm going to pop on over to get cleaned up." She looks over to Ted. "Let me know if the food gets here early."

With no more explanation that that, Joan leaves the two best buds alone to have some guy talk.
