Sarah Rainmaker She was still very nervous. She'd had some lovely times out with her girlfriend.. It still felt sos trange to use the words.. But this would be their first real full 'time' together. Meeting outdoors in one of the parks that made up the city, Sarah Rainmaker was trying hard to not fidget. The sky had become a bit overcast.. She would glare up at it and focus, clearing them away
Ororo Munroe Ororo's not feeling too nervous... okay, she's all butterflies and nerves and worries, but she hasn't _told_ anyone she is, so that practically means she's fine. She wasn't sure how to dress for this... a date? It's not like she goes on a ton of them. But still, being immune to the effect of weather means she can pick a sundress if nothing else, nothing too gauzy or light of course, but it's definitely something that would probably leave most people feeling the spring chill, with a pair of sandals with a slight heel. And bonus, as she makes brisk progress walking into the park, it probably looks like she's rushing because of the touch of chill in the air, not because she's nervous!
Sarah Rainmaker The joys of manipulating the weather to make sure that everything could go just according to plan! Sarah Rainmaker was wearing a short tan skirt and a lighter top which matched her skin color, and a set of black pump up heels. Ororo would still tower over her considerably, but it was still an attempt! So when she would try to -not- be worriedly pacing or fidgeting over as Ororo would come towards her, she would still wave very animatedly.
Ororo Munroe The weather goddess smiles brightly... not so bright the sun _actually_ brightens in the sky, but it's still wide and genuine as one arm lifts to wave, her dress a mix of pale blue and some gauzy, faint white, like a clear sky with a barest hint of cloud that contrasts her skin wonderfully. "Sarah! Dear! It's so lovely to see you again! You've been well?" She narrows her eyes playfully, "Weather's been behaving itself, yes?"
Sarah Rainmaker Sarah Rainmaker would give a hug, "I've been hanging in there. Life is.. Life. And comoplicated." Her tone is sad. But aren't all things in the end. "I ran into another teacher at your school who gave me a few ideas." She would go to lean in against Ororo and give her a deep, soft hug.
Ororo Munroe Ororo hugs back, and lets that embrace last at least a good handful of long seconds. At least until the mention of running into a coworker makes those white eyebrows lift, "Oh goodness... it wasn't a scruffy cajun fellow, was it? He's... a little..." She frowns thoughtfully, "Unique." ...Sure Remy can't hear her say that, but she's sure his ears are burning somewhere.
Sarah Rainmaker Sarah Rainmaker would laugh softly, "No, a librarian. She said that she was ah.. Happy for you. And she told me.." She would go to hold out a box of what Xi'an had told her were Ororo's favorite chocolates, given out to the mocha skinned goddess.
Ororo Munroe Ororo Munroe laughs softly and shakes her head with an impish smile. "Ah, the librarians... always the best friends to have. And... of _course_ she knows my favorites." She takes the box and leans in, returning with the only gift she can think of in turn, a warm kiss on the cheek that lingers as she murmurs, "We'll have to share these, won't we? I can't possibly not let you enjoy them."
Sarah Rainmaker Sarah Rainmaker would smile, "That's a very good idea. I got two boxes of them. One of which I already went through." She would whisper conspiratorily. "I'll be very happy to share this one with you." She would offer with an impish smile, sighing as she would enjoy the kiss. Hand wrapping around the waist of the weather goddess.
Ororo Munroe Ororo cocks her hips just so, to slip right into that embrace and lean in close, humming softly, "Well then! Should we go for a lovely stroll in the park? It seems fitting, no?" She laughs softly and sighs out, humming and murmuring, "Perhaps we'll cheer you up from whatever has you worried. At the very least I'm sure I can distract you for awhile."
Sarah Rainmaker Sarah Rainmaker would smile, "yes, you're quite distraxting for me. So what shall we do as we stroll? Whisper sweet nothings? I.. I'm rahter new to this." She would offer tenderly, leting out a sigh and leaning in to her date. "So lead us?"
Ororo Munroe Ororo lets out a little laugh and slips her arm around Sarah, deepening that embrace a little and shaking her head, murmuring softly, "No no, we don't need to murmur sweet nothings... and we're a couple centuries late for reciting poetry... and despite being a teacher? I don't actually _know_ any poetry well enough to recite it... we can just... walk if you want. Be close. It's nice."
Sarah Rainmaker Sarah Rainmaker would mm and shake her head, "Well enough. Walking sounds good. Can we fly or would that get a bit too much attention?" S he would smile over and keep her arm around the otherw oman, going to tug her along. Offering up the box of chocolates.
Ororo Munroe Ororo laughs softly and quirks an eyebrow, humming softly and looking around, taking the box of chocolates and murmuring out, "Well, If we don't take off and land around anyone, I don't think my dress is going to be _too_ much of a worry if we go for a little flight, right?"
Sarah Rainmaker Sarah Rainmaker woulds mile, "No, it wouldn't." She would offer her arm. "Go ahead and lift us off?" She would smiel cheerfully while going to let the nubian goddess lead along through the air and let out a content sigh.
Ororo Munroe Ororo grins impishly and there's a brief feeling of motion, like a rising elevator and a gentle, soothing breeze as the ground falls away... and Ororo's dress is none the worse for wear. Just a subtle little show of her control of her powers of course. Which means when her costumes billow out dramatically it's totally on purpose.
Sarah Rainmaker Sarah Rainmaker would go to slide her hand around the waist of Ororo and grin, "It's gorgeous. I love being up here." Anyone down below is getting quite the sight as well. "I love flying.. It's so freeing."
Ororo Munroe Ororo lets their flight path meander... not flying directly over anyone on purpose, she doesn't feel beholden to staying in the park, instead just leisurely flying them out of town, over ponds and streams and nature's glory as she keeps that firm grip... just to reassure her passenger as she laughs softly, "Yes, it's really wonderful. Sometimes I'll do it during a summer rain and it's... spectacular. We'll have to do it sometime."
Sarah Rainmaker Sarah Rainmaker would float along with Ororo, "Yes." She would sigh, "So much out there, all the world to see.." She would go to lean in against Ororo, letting the more experienced woman lead them through the sky. ARms cradling Ororo's. "So what are your first memories of flying?"
