Bart Allen Bart Allen is one of the few people who know when Itie's birthday is exactly, he saw it in the family records, and once Bart sees something he knows it. He has put the word out to the titans and Irie's friends about the party and not to tell her. Food has been ordered and set around enough to feed two armies probably or maybe enough for the titans and a few speedsters. Bart asked about who to cater, and followed Donna's advice. He has balloons up in red, white and yellow with lightning bolts on them, some hand drawn as the store ran out of them. A banner across the room, "Happy Birthday Irie" Bart has set up a table for presents, and made sure to have a couple DDR machines, as well as some VR games set up around the room.
Irie West     Madison has successfully managed to detract Irie from the surprise birthday party by convincing her to take her to Chicago to visit the Museum of Science and Industry which has a showing of Star Wars props and technology. There's also a Lego exhibit too, which was something of a nice surprise, since at one point they combined the two and there was a lot of Star Wars Lego builds.

She walks into the tower arm and arm with her best friend jabbering away excitedly, "And Jabba the Hutt? Did you see those eyes? Super creepy. It's like they were following you everywhere. But that life sized Lego speeder was neat!"
Madison Evans     "And I mean - the Prequels aren't that great, but OH. EM. GEE, all those Amidala costumes! They're- just gorgeous! All the details! Thank you soooooo much for taking me Irie!"
Having been tasked with keeping the Birthday Girl thoroughly distracted - Madison had sent all of her offerings to the party on ahead, including mysteriously spherical cookies and brownies which she's labeled 'SPACE! cookies' and 'SPACE! brownies.' They're part of her science experiment for the upcoming science fair, and she needs to find someone to eat all the baked goods she's been making.
This is as good an excuse as any.
She also, of course, sent a wrapped present on ahead and it's stacked with the other gifts on offering - naturally wrapped in Star Wars wrapping paper that features Grogu, wearing a party hat, and shoving a piece of cake in his mouth. Everyone loves Grogu.
Donna Troy     Of course if the DDR machines and VR games aren't enough, the giant monitor currently has Mario Karts running on it! The kitchen island is /covered/ in food, much of it unhealthy looking, all of it amazing looking. Working studiously in the kitchen is Ferdinand, taller even than Caitlin, half-man, half-bull chef extraordinaire, the result of Donna's advice on catering -- the expert chef from the Themysciran embassy. Even Caitlin can't really complain about having a chef of his talents in 'her' kitchen. He even brought his own knives, and isn't using Caitlin's expensive Japanese steelware.

There is home-made ice cream by the bucket load, a wide range of savory snacking foods, numerous small cakes of many kinds and one enormous center-piece cake, with a marzipan and spun sugar figurine in yellow, red and black on the top. The figurine is of course meant to be Irie herself, though somewhat stylized to show speed, with cotton candy zoom lines trailing behind her, and a furrow in the icing showing her path across the cake.

The table of gifts is rather towering, and a significant portion of this is Donna's fault. It is, surely, appropriate to get Irie a car, because this is sort of her seventeenth birthday. Except that it's not really, and Wally would worry, and also a car is far too /slow/ for Irie. Donna has been struggling with this question for weeks, and has instead settled on a frenzy of shopping for smaller gifts - clothing, jewelry, a new computer, decorations, a Playstation - which Irie may have trouble fitting into her room. Wally may officially be back, but this doesn't seem to have stopped Donna from feeling like she has some direct responsibility for Irie!

All of this of course will be hard to see when the doors to the elevator first open for Maddie and Irie, because the lights will be off -- for /just/ long enough for Irie to realize that the only reason the lights would be off is because of a surprise party, at which point the lights will come on, some of them flashing in multiple colors, and a few decorative laser lights just to add to the slightly over-the-top effect. Because why not?
Mary Bromfield Mary "Thunderbolt" Marvel wasn't in attendance, but Mary Bromfield was. She was wearing what she wore during the "lab days" at Metropolis U's teaching hospital down the street...namely, nurse's tunic, pants, and tennis shoes. "Get yourself some REAL comfortable shoes," they told her. The navy blue scrubs hid her well, but she was hoping Irie would like her present.
It seemed like something she could find useful everywhere....
Diana Prince Diana is seated in one of the tall bar-counter chairs. She's got her black leather jacket slung over the back of the chair, wearing a white top and simple blue jeans tucked in to a pair of ankle boots that are loose around her ankles. Her hair is tied back in to a loose pony tail, and the Princess is sipping from a glass of red juice of some make or flavor! On the counter beside her is a gift wrapped in blue, and red, paper that is glossy and shimmering in the ambient light.

When the lights flash, and the party is ready to go, Diana prepares a party-whistle in her lips, and waits for the right time to blow!

Whiiiiiiiiiiiiiisstle! She sounds it off before lowering the whistle and smiling big at the birthday girl, offering a wave upon Iri's arrival too!
Victor Stone     Vic helped set everything up, laser lights especially, and is ready with party poppers and music when the birthday girl arrives. He's festive mostly inasmuch as he's wearing a party hat, but he's grinning. Birthday parties are fun! And Irie deserves a good, fun birthday party.
Emiko Queen Emiko came in with Bart but has largely stayed over near the video games, hanging out with a drink in hand and smiling and greeting people who come near. They'd been waiting for Irie and Madison, and it seems both have arrived! Moving to join Bart so they can all greet the birthday girl, sing the song, and of course, give Irie her presents!
Kaida Connolly It isn't just laser lights and the like that Irie gets, another speedy person is here and she has carefully constructed the proper entrance for a birthday girl. She really doesn't have a lot of money or anything to work with to buy things and so she is doing her best to make things. Sure, she is kinda using her GIRL budget to do it but that's beside the point.

So, in conjunction with Cyborg, she found out his lights were going to go up and created first a smoke generator that would pour out a non-harmful smoke that would billow out just before the lights come up and catch the lasers. Then she set up tiny fireworks around the entrance area and carefully did various measurements to make sure she wouldn't be setting the tower on fire. She then hid.

Her ears were vastly more sensitive than others and so when Irie was coming up, she actually raced around to start setting off the smoke so when Irie would walk in to the dark, there'd be a hint of strange mist until the lights would hit and the smoke would be all about her feet and billowing into the elevator to give her a mysterious and extra bright entrance. Right as she walks in, (helped by Cyborg and his awesome music system) the beginning of 'Gotta Feeling' By the Black Eyed Peas starts to play quietly enough to let people yell surprise but also give Irie entrance music.

Timed to the music, tiny fireworks start going off, shooting out to either side of Irie and exploding near to the ceiling. On the ground, hidden in the smoke, Kaida dances along to the music, hitting buttons with her tail as she does to make the fireworks go off along with the beat.

The whole show lasts roughly ten seconds but the music keeps playing, not loud enough to prevent talking but still keeping any quiet from ever taking hold.
Bart Allen Bart Allen will call out "Happy Birthday" as his cousin comes into the room. "Surprise." He smiles and says "You know setting up a surprise party for a speedster is harder than other people. Normally I would just move eveything and everyone in last minute, but That don't work for you." He moves to offer his cousin a hug and smiles at her "Hope we did not miss anything." He smiles a bit at the entrance, and looks over to give the mouse girl a thumbs up.
Irie West         Irie's eyes narrow when she walks into a darkened tower. "Wait a minute...." she says suspiciously. "There's something going on here." Then the lights suddenly go on, and there's music and fireworks, and everybody is there and cheering for her and her eyes go wide. She didn't expect a surprise birthday party! I mean... you don't expect surprise birthday party. That's why they're surprise birthday parties.

"Ohmygosh, you guys!" she says, with her eyes as big as saucers. "I didn't... you didn't have to... gosh!" The amount of people that has shown up is kind of overwhelming for the poor kid. She zips around to the island where there's all sorts of food. "Look at this! There might actually be enough here to feed me, Bart, and Kaida!" She looks over to the rest of the bunch, "/And/ maybe have some leftovers for you all!"

She gives Bart a big ole hug. "Of course you didn't miss anything, silly! All my friends are here! That's the best part about birthday parties."
Madison Evans     "Whoa. That's a- lot," Madison remarks with wide eyes as she's also front-and-center for an unexpected fireworks display. A surprise party she expected, yeah. But- "Man. Your friends don't //mess around,// Irie!" Madison exclaims.
She starts striding further into the room, grinning with satisfaction over her part of pulling off this master plan when her eyes land on- "OH. EM. GEE. That's like actually Wonder Woman actually here."
Donna Troy     Donna's next to give Irie a hug, and probably pick her up and spin her around a bit too, because nobody's too grown up to spin around when you're strong enough to juggle tanks. "Of course we had to, Irie! Happy Birthday!" she tells the birthday gal with a laugh before letting her free to get birthday hugs from everyone else.

Having let Irie go, Donna rests a hand on Maddie's shoulder and gives her a wink. "Yeah, she's my sister you know," she says. "She came with the chef." She points a finger at the enormous minotaur chef. "That's Ferdinand. Say hi to him when you have the chance. He's not only an excellent chef, but a real sweetie. Good work on keeping Irie occupied while we got everything set up!"

Donna gives the dancing mouse a big double thumbs-up and a wide grin in congratulations on the success of her fireworks display before retreating back to where Diana sits, whispering "Careful sister, there may be more fangirling. Try not to make anyone faint today, okay?"
Diana Prince Diana stands up from the tall chair she was perched upon, gathering up the wrapped gift she'd brought. She watches with a big smile as the friends all greet one another, just quietly sweeping her eyes from one of them to the next. AT the surprise to seeing her, and the answer that Donna gives, Diana just smirks softly.

"Hello." She says in her smoky voice. "I am... indeed... Wonder Woman, though Diana is much preferred." The Princess says as she approaches Irie, waits for her chance, then offers her a quick hug, followed by the wrapped up gift. IT's one of those gifts that is pretty obvious what it is before its opened, in so far as to say, it's a book...

But what kind of book?!

"Very happy to be here, Chef, or not." She says, glancing in Ferdi's direction to pay her friend a big smile too.
Mary Bromfield Mary chuckles at Madison's reaction, but walks up to Irie and gives her a wry smile. "Hope you have a truly wonderful year," she says with warmth. "I just hope I got you a gift you can use. It's with all the others." She winks. "I know I haven';t been around often, but I'll try to show more often."
Kaida Connolly "Mwhahahaha!" Kaida zips up to the ceiling and attacks from above when Irie is given a free moment to land on her shoulder and squeeze with her whole body, mainly because honestly that's really all she can do to hug someone before hopping up and grinning.

"Happy birthday!" She declares and then zips away before she can get caught in someone else's hug and spins as she appears on the table near the food, quickly scarfing down an entire hot dog and letting out a breath.

"That was hungry work..." She then zips back over and grins as everyone else greets Irie, seeming overly eager to see Irie happy, "So, did we surprise you?! You seemed surprised!" She grins a Donna and Bart before looking at the others, she might be a lot more hyper than usual.
Victor Stone     "Sure we had to!" Vic says. "You're one of us, it's in the contract somewhere: must throw huge birthday parties." He grins, and will take his chance to hug Irie when she's free, then looks to Madison.

"New friend of Irie's? Yeah, that's really Wonder Woman. It's really everyone! Welcome to Titans Tower and all that. Better get some cake quick before the speedsters get to it."
Irie West     If Irie was going to be completely honest here, she's a little starstruck by Diana's presence, too. "Yeah, wow!" She squeaks a little bit when she's twirled around by Donna, but by the time she's back on her feet she's laughing. "Let's go meet her!"

But Diana comes to them instead and gives her a hug. She gives a solid hug back and steps back taking the present from her. "Thanks!" She turns and motions to Maddie. "This is Madison, my best friend in the whole universe!"

She, then, glrks when there's a surprise mouse on her shoulder, but she's grinning. "I was /totally/ surprised, Kaida. I had /no idea/. And the fireworks! And the light show! And /everything!/"

She turns her attention to Diana's present, and tears it open (making sure to put the paper in the recycling bin). Her eyes go wide when she sees what it is. It's an old leather bound journal, with a metal clasp that's emblazoned with the Themysciran eagle. When she unfolds it open she sees that's it's a personal journal from Diana from when she was a kid. Tears start welling up in her eyes. "I... I always wondered how Dad got a hold of this," she says. "And /why/ he had it in the first place." She shuts the journal and looks up at Diana, wiping a tear from an eye. "Thank you."
Madison Evans     Madison beams at Victor cheerfully. "Oh, umm, Irie and I have been friends all school year! I just- well. I mean, I haven't met //that// many superheroes, you see. I mean- Some of them. I've met Donna! And well, now Diana I guess - hi Diana! - and-" And then Madison is staring at Ferdinad. Openly, with her mouth open.
"...minotaurs are real," she breathes in awe. "AND HE COOKS?! This day //cannot// get any better! WOW!"
Donna Troy     "Kithotaur!" Donna corrects Madison with a grin. "The Minotaur was from Minos. The name means 'bull of Minos'. Ferdinand here is from Kithira, so he's a Kithotaur. Never call him a Minotaur, it makes him furious."

"Quite right," Ferdinand says, giving Madison a wink. "It's terribly insulting to be called a Minotaur, they are terrible chefs. Here, have some ice cream." The jovial Kithotaur indeed has a couple of bowls of ice cream in hand, one for Madison and one for Irie. No doubt he has been informed in advance of the predilection the two have for ice cream. Or at least Donna's assumption that the two will eat any amount of ice cream presented to them.

Mary gets a shoulder-bump from Donna, who tells the young Titan "We know you're busy with school, Mary. You're a valued member of the team and we love to have you here when you can spare the time, but don't let us steal you away from your school work, that's important too!"

Donna settles close to Diana to whisper in her ear. "That's the tricky thing with time travel. Irie remembers things from our future. She's been really good at not revealing things she shouldn't, but you can never quite predict how she's going to react to things. I think you scored a hit there, though."
Wally West Wally West was out on patrol. He takes a snack break and notices a notification on his phone. "'party today tower' Thats strange I dodn't remember there being a party..." Wally goes on to check his email. there is an email invite so he opens it. "Irie's birth...day... oh...OH SHI-" Wally is cut off by a booming crash of speedforce lightning as he takes off at close to the fastest he's ever run.

"It!" Wally arrives at the tower but now he's empty handed. He can't show his face with out a gift. "FU-" Again wally disappears in a crash of speedforce energy.

Wally arrives back for real this time. With a package full of Grandma Joan's special cookies. Made to tame even the speediest of speedster's apetites, and a secial gift for Irie, and in a small ring box he carries there first flash ring he was given pre loaded with his orginal kid flash gear, as a keepsake. he now zips into the party and b lines it for Bart. In speed talk "what did i miss tell me everything you can. pleasepleaseplease"
Diana Prince Diana watches the group interact, she grins at the sight of it all, before her eyes go to Irie as she unwraps the present. When its revealed, it is clearly something the young woman has seen before, which is a bit confusing at first, but she's quick to catch on. Donna's aside, has Diana nodding softly. "Ah, well, yes. It is a very old book, I thought it might be an amusing read for someone... Donna here is quite fond of pointing out how, skillful of an artist I was, all those years ago..." The Princess says with another grin before she watches Ferdi dishing out ice cream.

"You will not have a more tantalizing experience, than Ferdi's homemade flavors of ice cream." The Amazon points out then as she returns to her chair to find her drink that she lifts up to sip from again.

"And it's good to keep the future as secretive as possible, good, and bad things alike. We ... must make the steps we make, without worrying about what will come from it all..."
Bart Allen Bart Allen looks over to Irie, and stage whispers "Just occasionally throw fake stuff out, that way they don't know what is real or not." Did Bart just admit to some of his slips being made up?" He sees Wally out the window here away, here again, and will move to meet the other man at the doorway so he can fill him in on whats happened "She just got here, opened one gift from Diana, and everyone is hugging her. Go hug her too."
Kaida Connolly Grinning about how everyone seems to be having a good time, Kaida zips off to get herself some more food. She really does eat a lot for a two lbs., six inch tall mouse person. She has put away a hot dog and is now finishing off a couple of hamburgers before she finally stops to nom on french fries as she watches everyone interact. Seems she needs a tiny break from the excitement...that is until she spots DDR and gets all giddy.

A moment later one can hear sound powering up from the machine when suddenly the sound of the familiar sythesizer music can be heard as the thiny mouse starts bouncing from space to space with little acrobatic flips and whole body landing elbow drops and stomps.
Madison Evans     "Oh, umm, very sorry. Kithotaur," Madison replies, as she accepts the bowl of ice cream. She is, in fact, a huge fan of ice cream - often of the weird variety. She loves to rant and rave about the strange ice creams one can buy at Salt and Straw, and how much she misses it, in fact. "Thank you for the ice cream - it looks really good!" After giving the man a broad grin, she eagerly digs in - making appreciative sounds as she does. It //is// good! She seems content to hold back for the moment, though, watching everyone else greet Irie while she eats.
Mary Bromfield Mary looks to Donna. She opens her mouth, then closes it again as Donna moves to speak to her fellow Themiscyran. She looks to Irie, then over to the buffet table.

Well, she was hungry. Might as well get something in her stomach. She hadn't eaten in hours.

Mary headed over to the table, pondering the available food. After a few moments, she picks out a few varieties of finger food and something to drink. The punch looked good...
Wally West Wally nods. "hey take a cookie, theyre from Granda Joan and Grandpa Jay. "

Wally then nonchalantly walks in with a big smile. "HEy Everybody I Brought cookies! Special From the Flash grandparents out in Keystone" Then he makes is way over to Irie "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" He goes in for a hug "hey I want you to know I'm not hiding from you I want to know all about you ok"
Irie West     "Kithotaur?" Irie asks curiously. When Donna explains she nods, "Oh! Ah. Okay! Nice to meet you, Ferdinand." She's handed a bowl of ice cream and she looks at it thoughtfully. She takes a scoop full and pops it in her mouth, trying to place the flavor. "Um. Fig ice cream?" she asks. "It's really yummy!" She turns to Madison, "Try some!"

"Yeah," she says to Diana. "Dad made sure to tell me what to do and not to do if I ever found myself back in time. He knew what was going to happen, I'm sure of it." She shakes her head. "It must of hurt an awful lot to make sure that I went back in time like that. Hopefully I'll find a way to get back to him."

She looks over to see that the man in question has arrived, albeit late. "Hey, dad! Oooh! The cookies! You brought the cookies!" She gives her father-to-be a great big ole hug back. "It's okay. I've kinda been avoiding you," she admits. "I... just don't want to accidentally say or do something that might ruin our future."

She takes the tiny ring box from him and opens it up seeing the Flash Ring inside it. "Oh. Em. Gee! She pulls it out and slips it on her finger. "It's a Flash ring! Now I just need to get somebody to make my suit so I can stuff it in here!" She activates the ring and is surprised when the original Kid Flash suit pops out. In a blur she changes into it which is kind of hilarious as it's several sizes too big for her. "Sweet!"

She looks over to where Kaida is doing DDR and shouts, "Next game we're doing head to head!"
Bart Allen Bart Allen does a super speed turn away from Irie as she grabs the uniform to change. I mean it maybe super speed for others, but he does not want to watch his cousin change clothes.
Wally West Wally West smoothly moves his hand in front of his eyes for that second
Donna Troy     Donna looks at Irie in her too-big costume, grinning wide. She tilts her head in Vic's direction, then nods back towards Irie. "Vic, I think Irie's going to need a bigger boat. I mean smaller costume. Or a bigger one. I mean that one is way too big, and I'm sure she's growing out of the one she turned up with. Think you might fabricate something for her?"

She nabs a couple of Grandma Joan's cookies, giving a wink and a hair scruff to Wally as she passes, before handing the spare cookie to Ferdinand. "There you go big guy, you get the opportunity to try something you didn't have to cook. "
Emiko Queen Emiko remains off to the side, letting the friends and family get their hugs and well wishes in first. Still, there's a smile there, and she's enjoying the festivities, offering Bart a soda while he's backturned for Irie's speed-change. The offer of a cookie has her smiling to Wally and giving a nod, taking one, "Thank you." Then she's finally stepping forward to smile at Irie, "Looks good on you, Irie. And happy birthday! Here, this is from Bart and I." She offers up cute little minibackpack in white with a yellow Flash symbol stitched into the leather. Inside is a Radical Skedaddle Bang energy drink at the center of a rock candy and lollipop bouquet, as well as a birthday card with a gift certificate to Origin PC. "The gift certificate will let you customize a laptop to your specifications from one of the best PC building companies. So.. go buck wild and have fun with it!"
Diana Prince After taking another sip from her drink, diana sets the cup back down upon the counter. She shows Irie a quick smile then. "Besides, if we want to get the truth out of you about what happens in the future, then well... I did bring the lasso." Which she did, its glinting form can be seen from within the jacket she has folded over the chair she'd claimed when she'd first arrived.

BUT. She's only kidding, becuase lasso jokes always 'kill' at parties.

"Oooo!" The Princess says at the sight of the cookies. She ventures over to them, spies closely, before she reaches in to grab one,a nd lift it up to her ruby hued lips, where she takes a sampling bite. "Mmm." She notes then a moment later, once the flavor has touched her tongue. Her eyes dance then to Wally, who gets a thumbs up. "Very good." She tells the speedy fellow.

Kaida is observed then, which has Diana smiling happily at the exuberant little one's actions at the dance game.
Victor Stone     "Just in time!" Vic calls to Wally with a grin. Because they're talking about time travel, get it?

He grabs one of the special Grandma Flash cookies himself (and fig ice cream if the kithotaur is so inclined) and says to Donna, "I definitely could. All you need to do is tell me how you want it to look, Irie!"
Madison Evans     Securing one of the coveted 'grandparent cookies' - Madison inserts it into her icecream, and proceeds to eat the two together - with much appreciation. She watches her friend re-dress herself, and lets out her own sounds of appreciation at the look.
It isn't long before most of them are engaged in a battle of DDR that - even with Maddie's Jedi Skills, she finds herself losing battle. Not that she minds in the least. This party is //fun//.
Wally West Wally sees the Minotaur?..."Whoa who's this mysterious character?" Wally is surprised but in a moment laughs it off The titans are fon because it's always something unexpected with them.
Emiko Queen Leaning in towards Wally, Emiko offers, "That's Ferdinand, the Kithotaur. He's on loan for tonight from the Themyscirans, I think. Catering! Apparently he's a phenomenal cook." She might ask for lessons later!
Irie West     "Yeah!" cheers Irie when Vic offers to work on her costume, giving him a high five. "I'll get you pictures of what I want."

She sees that Kaida is done with that round of DDR, and quickly shovels in the rest of the figgy ice cream. She rushes over and points menacingly at the mouse. "You have dominated the top scores for too long, my mortal enemy," she intones. "For tonight I shall vanquish you!" And with that, she goes head to head with her. It's a fierce battle over three rounds, and Irie loses, 2-1. She lays there, on the ground, panting. "Curse you, mouse. You win again."

The rest of the party is a lot of fun. She opens her presents and hugs /everybody/. Lots. Lots of hugs going on. And food! Ferdinand lives up to his reputation as being an excellent chef, and by the time the party is over, everybody is stuffed.
