Owner Pose
Natasha Romanova Natasha Romanoff is sitting over in the rec room of the Triskelion. Currently Natasha is munching over on something that she seems to have taken over for lunch. If one were to look closely at it, it would be a C-Ration bar. To the side of her there are a few older newspapers spread out that are written all in Cyrillic
Lara Croft     Lara is dressed for a workout. She's fond of using the whole building she's allowed to for her exercise. She's come from the pool, evidenced by her wet hair. Her dry clothes mean she's at least changed before coming to the rec room. She moves to the minifridge and gets out a water with her initials on it. Looking to the other woman, she inclines her head before coming over and flopping down next to Natasha. She does glance at the newspapers. "Anything interesting?" she asks.
Natasha Romanova Natasha Romanoff would glance over at Lara and consider, "Merely some old newspapers of the state propaganda outlet." By which she means likely the official Soviet party newspaper, if one were to get the gist of the front pages. "Merely doing some research."
Lara Croft     "Anything you want help with?" Lara asks. She pops the top of her bottle and takes a swig, swishing her mouth before swallowing. "Maybe you could help me with something in return."
Natasha Romanova Natasha Romanoff would shake her head, "No, merely satisfying some personal curiousity on things that happened well before you were born." She would say lightly in amusement.
Lara Croft     Lara isn't exactly unfamiliar with doing research on things that happened before she was born. She's not that old, after all. "Of course," she says. She considers the papers for a moment. "I know better than to ask too many questions," she realizes and confesses aloud with the same sentence.
Natasha Romanova Natasha Romanoff would laugh, "Oh, hardly. Merely looking at the official references to some of the older 'deniable' assets that were deployed by the GRU in the nineteen sixties and seventies."
Lara Croft     Lara tilts her head, looking over the papers. She prounounces some of the headlines in fluent-enough Russian, though she still has her thick accent. When she's exhausted the array of headlines on display, she smiles politely. "I'm afraid my area of interest lies quite a bit before then," she says.
Natasha Romanova Natasha Romanoff would just quirk her lips upwards in a smile, "Quite. It's more of a personal indulgence than anything else. Something that if you were a part of that era might have some general interest at most."
Lara Croft     Lara glances over the papers again. "Quite," she acknowledges. She considers silently for a moment before she says, "What can you tell me about Siberia?"
Natasha Romanova Natasha Romanoff would consider over at Lara and put the papers down, "Large. Cold. Barren. Vast empty spaces with no one in them for hundreds, if not thousands of miles. Very little lives there, very little grows. An abundance of natural resources."
Lara Croft     Lara nods. "Survival tips?" she asks, simply. Lifting her bottle of water, she takes a drink while making eye contact. She's serious, at the very least.
Natasha Romanova Natasha Romanoff would tap her chin, "Depends how long you're planning ons taying there, how far you intend to travel, and how far you are from any sort of outposts. You have to make the assumption that you won't have enough wood to make fires with, nor be able to hunt in general. Most things you'll need to carry."
Lara Croft     Lara nods. "That's good to know," she says. She crosses her legs and bounces her foot in her water shoes that have been jogging and swimming already, today.
Natasha Romanova Natasha Romanoff would gesture, "So do you have specifics or are you merely asking out of broad curiousity? There will be a difference for each and your resources."
Lara Croft     "I do," Lara says. "I don't have my files on me, but if you're curious, we can talk when I have access to my computer." She leans forward and sets her bottle down. "Right now, I've got a starting location. Mountainside. The satellite photos I have are incomplete. I could probably use SHIELD's resources to get at better photos, but this is a personal project."
Natasha Romanova Natasha Romanoff would nod, "Of course. And depending on what it is you can always ask or see if generally your security clearance gives you access to satellite data from the area, probably not an overflight however. And I'm more than happy to."
Lara Croft     Lara listens with a nod. She considers Natasha's expression. Black Widow is a spy among spies. She's not as secretive as Nick Fury, but if she doesn't want Lara to get a bead on her, she won't. Even if Lara thinks she knows, she does know that the 'act' may be a permanent thing, and nobody knows the real Natasha Romanoff.
Lara continues, "I've got some assistance on this. I expect to run into Trinity. If you're interested, I would like the help at least researching."
Natasha Romanova Natasha Romanoff would stand up, "I can help with that. I can give you some general advise on survival. You have experience with Trinity, and I don't. I'm sure that given the circumstances no one higher up in the command structure will mind you looking at already taken data to get a better idea of a hostile organization."
Lara Croft     Lara huffs out a breath as she thinks back on her prior encounter with Trinity. "Perhaps," she says. She considers for a moment. "I suppose the worst thing that will happen is that I will be as in the dark as I would be as a civilian."
Natasha Romanova Natasha Romanoff would nod, "Yes, and command generally finds a degree of flexibility for agents that are engaged in their own pursuits and it does not interfere with assignments. Satellite imagery should not be an issue. If it is, just ask me and I'll intervene."
Clint Barton "She's a better resource than I am, so I'd take her up on it." floats a voice from the distance, certainly recognizable to the two. Clint Barton steps in taking the final bite of an apple as he makes his way over towards their table. He tosses the core on the direction of the garbage can across the room without so much as a glance to confirm that it goes in. Of course it does. "Mind if I join you two?" He does wait a polite moment to give them a chance to answer.
Lara Croft     Lara puts on a smile as she recognizes her archery tutor. She plucks up her water bottle and moves, making the most readily accessible seat on the rec room sofa between herself and Natasha. "Hello, Clint," she says. "Please do join us."
Natasha Romanova Natasha Romanoff would turn her attention to Clint, "Of course." She would gesture at him to sit, finishing up her snack - apparently an old military C-Ration bar. "It's a public area. Dame Croft was asking for some advise on wilderness survival and possibly some recon assets."
Clint Barton It would be hard for anyone to pass up an invitation to join the two of them on a couch, and so Clint does so, flopping back a bit into the couch. "Yeah, I gathered. It's cold, is what I hear." He considers Natasha for a moment. "I think getting recon would make a lot of sense. I don't see why SHIELD would have an issue with it. The problem is I don't think we want the brass looking at it and deciding to take over." He glances back to Lara. "She wants this to be her thing, and I get why."
Lara Croft     Lara refreshes her smile at Clint as he continues to concede control of it to her. It is, of course, important to her. "Thank you, Clint," she says with a nod. He gets it. Swishing her water around a bit, Lara elaborates to Natasha, "This is important to me. Something my father was after. I believe he was looking in the wrong place for it."
Natasha Romanova Natasha Romanoff would let Clint sit down and gesture, "Satellites would be most useful and not require anythign extravagant. A simple request in the system shouldn't raise any flags or cause an issue. Agents lok through them quite often to see if there's anything that stands out>"
Clint Barton "Nat's right. I think if we do it on the down low it'll be fine, we just r have to be careful who we chat about it with." Clint glances around as if reviewing any within current earshot. Although certainly there are enough devices within the Triskelion that plenty outside of earshot may be privy as well. He looks to the Widow. "Do you think you're better off tackling that part than me?"
Natasha Romanova Natasha Romanoff would nod at Clint, "I presume that her existing clearance should suffice. If not, I can handle it. I'm the one that's going to have a reputation of being interested in the far east, less so you."
Clint Barton "Well, maybe I'm just lazy." Clint chuckles for a moment, and then nods to Lara. "Give it a go yourself, and if you run into trouble I'll try to help and make it look like I know what I'm doing." He glances at Nat. "This one over here will just put Fury on our trail."
Lara Croft     Lara tosses her water up and lets it flip in the air as she stands. She catches it upright and pops the top open to take another swig. Swallowing, she asks, "Hey, you coordinate with us on this? Between the three of us, maybe we can actually have a chance at discovering the Divine Source."
Natasha Romanova Natasha Romanoff would glance at Lara, "The Divine Source?" She would inquire over. "And I can help with your research. Saldy, I don't think I'll be able to help on any field operations beyond helping you gather information and giving some advise."
