Morgan Finn Spring. It's a time to leave the bitter cold of winter behind, a time to renew one's connection to life, and a time to rejuvenate one's spirit! It's also a time to go on patrol for bad guys because you think you're a badass and get said ass kicked.

The silent alarm at Rocko's Jewel and Precious Metal Exchange has been going off for several minutes, but unfortunately there is also a massive three alarm fire blocks from here that is tying up emergency services. But never fear, Wonder Boy is here! He was out on foot patrol (because Diana was using the Invisible Jet) when his earpiece beeped with the alert. No worries. Morgan has been training hard and going for a run is no sweat for the kid who seems to have boundless energy. Except when it comes to studying, of course, which always seems to put him to sleep.

Arriving at the back door to the exchange, Morgan finds the iron door has been pried open and cast aside like a piece of aluminum foil. That probably should have been his first warning.

"This is Wonder Boy," he announces, yelling through the pried-open door. "By the authority of the Justice League, you are hereby ordered to exit the premises and surrender immediately."

Bad idea, Morgan.

A filing cabinet comes flying out the open door at somewhere south of the speed of sound. "Shit!" Morgan yells as he drops his bo-staff and dives to the side, rolling nimbly away and then back to his feet. The cabinet hits a parked van hard enough to break the rear axel.

That should have been his second warning.

Jumping back up, Morgan grabs his staff and frowns. "Okay, let's do this the hard way then," he says as a half-dozen men carrying leather satchels come pouring out the door. "What?" Morgan says aloud. "That's it? Just six dudes?" All six men laugh when Morgan says that.

That should have been his third warning.

There is a vibration in the ground as a...man(?) the size of a mini-Hulk emerges through the door. "Otto not like stick boy!" the thing announces. "Otto break stick boy into pieces. Otto take his time and enjoy it!" Then Otto starts advancing on Morgan as the six robbers start loading their satchels into the back of a nearby truck.

That's probably about the time when Lanis, the Invisible Jet's AI whom Diana instructed to monitor Morgan through his com system, starts to sound an alert. "Diana, do you remember when you told me to alert you when young Master Finn gets in over his head?"
Diana Prince Diana wasn't terribly far away when the call from the Jet's AI reached her headpiece. She was at a friend's house, actually, nothing serious just stopping in to enjoy a bit of peaceful time together with some friends. In the backyard, Diana had landed in her armor, her lasso at her hip, and a soccer ball at her armored feet. She's playing soccer with the family's two kids while the parents are preparing the food at the table. Diana is laughing at the kids as they try and prepare to both block her kick at their goal setup in the yard, a young boy, and a young girl. The Princess is warning them that she's a top tier football prospect.... but the kids are both saying that they will stop her any time.

The mother and father, are of course, enjoying the light hearted banter.

But it comes to a end when Diana gets the call that something is up. She explains this to the family, and then shoots off in to the sky!

It'll only take her a handful of minutes to get to Morgan's location, but it may be enough for him to get some humility punched in to him!
Morgan Finn To his credit, Morgan takes a battle stance when Otto charges him, his jaw set firmly. Not really expecting the "stick boy" to be so agile, Otto charges straight at him with both massive fists extended in front of him. Using his bo-staff as a lever, Wonder Boy dodges to the side then twirls around in a compete circle to bring the bo-staff in low to trip Otto.

Fat chance! Otto is running like a freight train, and the staff bounces harmlessly off of him. But Morgan successfully got out of the way. Otto smacks into the same parked van that was hit with the filing cabinet, collapsing in the body. Farmer's Insurance sure as hell ain't gonna cover that!

"Three hundred. Thirty seconds," says one of the six robbers, looking over his shoulder at Otto and Morgan. "I dunno," one of the other robbers says. The kid looks like he's got some skills. "Put me down for four hundred that he'll last at least a full minute."

"You guys ain't going anywhere," Morgan says. "If you know what's good fo...." That's the moment when Otto, who pulled himself out of the metal rubble of the van, punches the kid into the rear brick wall of the Exchange so hard it breaks Morgan's right shoulder. He lets out a cry of pain.

"Dammit!" says the guy who bet four hundred dollars that Morgan would last a full minute.
Diana Prince When Diana arrives, she touches down on to the rooftop edge of a nearby building. Her advanced hearing allows her to hear the conversations happening inside the alleyway. Her dark hair gently sways against her shoulders in the evening winds, as she shakes her head gently at what she hears...

"Put me down for a thousand, that none of you make it out of here on your feet." Diana's naturally sutlry voice sounds out as she just appears at the other side of the alley, her armored footfalls quietly impacting against the alley floor as she walks at a casual clip, her leather wrapped hands flexing fingers in to, and out of, fists.

Her eyes scan the 'targets' of opportunity around her, before she shows them all a light smirk.

"Hello, Gentlemen." Wonder Woman says now, her unmistakable form fully on display in her gleaming Eagle armor...
Morgan Finn It takes several moments for Morgan to start moving again. He lifts himself up off the ground holding the arm from his injured side against his body. It's a pretty badly deformed fracture, but even now it is already starting to heal.

It's difficult to explain Morgan's expression when sees Diana. He is, of course, relieved. None of this is going as planned. But, too, he looks humiliated, ashamed. He takes a few steps and winces as he bends over to pick up his staff. It's a combination of pride and willpower that is keeping him on his feet.

Through a clenched jaw he says, "I told you all...to surrender...you should have...listened."

Otto lets out a scream of rage and charges the wounded Morgan.
Diana Prince Diana doesn't mess around when it comes to the safety of those that are allied with her, let alone the safety of any other innocents.

When the big bruiser of this group ignores her warning, of just BEING here, the large lumbering muscled goon finds his legs instantly wrapped about by the glowing twine of the finely crafted rope of divine power! The Lasso of Truth ensnares the big fella, and what comes next is Diana charging HIM from behind!

She moves at tremendous speeds, lunging forward with her left arm up, to hit the back of the bruiser's head with the bracer of submission encasing her left forearm!

CLANG! She drops back down to her feet, intending to just bash the man down on to the ground, then yank the lasso back to tug his feet out straight behind him.

"No, no, no." Diana warns him, them. "Bad. Very bad..." She says as she glances up to Morgan then.
Morgan Finn As bad as he feels for getting in over his head like this, Morgan can't help but be amazed as Wonder Woman leaps high in the air and comes down to drop that huge lumbering freak like a bad habit. Few ever a chance to see the Amazon Princess' terrifying power up close. When Diana looks to Morgan, he glances away, his shame flooding back.

By now his injured shoulder is about halfway healed. He walks toward the six robbers who are standing there absolutely cowed by Diana's presence. As he moves toward them, the metal-shod tip of his bo-staff drags behind him on the cement making a horrible scraping noise that jars the ears and offends the senses. He doesn't seem to nice.

"I'm still standing. One of you guys owes me four hundred bucks," he says with a frown.

That's when one of the six pulls out a 9mm because, well, because maybe he isn't the brightest lightbulb in the pack.
Diana Prince If Diana has a fault, its that she's not terribly fond of letting her young apprentices get injured, and end up in situations that IS over their heads. She tries to keep them at the level that SHE believes they should be at, and this one is a bit high for Morgan, in her estimation!

"Do not move." Diana says after crouching down and hog-tying the big brute to the ground, leaving him in a embarrassing position that he will likely never have out of his mind again!

But then the gun is drawn, and in a flash, the Princess is shunting her attention in that direction. As Morgan drags his staff across the ground, Diana just lunges right past him, leaving a wake of wind behind her to rush over Wonder Boy!

She grips the gun, she squeezes it until it breaks in to pieces, then she raises her opposite hand up and backhands the man who wielded it, who dare to draw it upon the Boy.

"Down, all of you." Diana utters, her voice stern, but calm.

The pieces of the weapon drop in chunks to the ground then, as she watches them to see what their next move would be...

"This is over, the Police are enroute..."
Morgan Finn With a heavy swallow, Morgan takes his bo-staff in both hands. His injured shoulder seems to be healed now. His damaged pride is the only thing his healing powers can't fix right now.

"How could I have known?" he says in a low tone. "Some big super brute knocking off a gem exchange on a frickin' Monday afternoon. What are the odds?"

With a glint of rage in his eyes Morgan lets out a grown and swings his bo-staff over his head like it was a huge hammer instead of a staff. The metal-shot end smacks bound Otto's head with a loud thunk, knocking the man-creature out cold.
Diana Prince When the other men comply and reluctantly sit down, Diana watches them. Some of them have cocky smirks, but they seem smart enough to know when they've been bested. That's the thing about the past several years of Wonder Woman being a public hero figure... a lot of the public knows what she's capable of now, so sometimes, they do whats best.

Some of them watch what Morgan does to their 'boss' and even laugh softly, one of them telling the kid 'Good job.'

"Set your weapons down on the ground in frotn of you." Diana says in her Themysciran accented English.

The comply and do what she asks. One of them makes a snide remark up at her, about which is not safe to write about here. Diana ignores it.

AS the men all sit down and wait for the Police, the alarms in the gem exchange begin to sound off. Their heist was indeed done.

Diana glances toward Morgan and motions for him to come to where she is. "Collect their weapons. Set them aside for the police." She tells the Boy. "And you did very good."

One of the men sitting there says 'Good boy' in a mocking tone to Morgan too.
Morgan Finn Regardless of how pissed off he is, Morgan is not about to disobey instructions from Diana. He nods once when she tells him to collect the weapons. He starts picking up guns as he does it might occur to one that we've never seen young Morgan with a gun in his hands before. He just hasn't had much call to interact with them.

When the robber says 'Good boy' to Morgan, the young hero looks at him unfazed. He's an avid athlete playing at the top levels of high school sports. He knows when an opponent is trying to get into his head. "I /am/ a good boy," he says back to the man. "And I'm gonna have a banana split later while you're in jail."

"How did you know where I was?" Morgan asks Diana. "I doubt it was pure luck that you were in the neighborhood while I was getting my ass handed to me."
Diana Prince "The Jet." The Princess quietly explains. "Lanis cares about your well being, you know."

Diana gives another momentary glance toward Morgan before she simply watches over the men as they wait for the police...

An hour goes by and the Cops have taken care of the situation. The branch of NYPD that picks up super strengthed criminals had carted off the bruiser Otto, and Diana was now returning after speaking to the police, to find Morgan wherever he might be.

"The news reporters want to interview you." She tells the young man with a smile, as she offers him a cup of coffee. "One of the Police officers brought this too, hot chocolate... and coffee? It's good." She tells him with a quick grin.
Morgan Finn When Diana returns, Morgan is sitting on the top of a low retaining wall behind the parking lot. From the look on his face, he seems to be practicing for a Batman Brooding Contest. But when Diana approaches with the cup, he can't help but smile. This dude can't stay dour for long, he just isn't built for it. He takes the cup. "Thank you."

"Is the Jet near?" he asks, taking a sip from the cup. "Can we...can we duck out? I don't know if I can handle a news interview today."
Diana Prince Diana leans back against the wall that the Boy is brooding on, after taking a sip of the cup that she kept for herself, she simply points up toward the dark sky. "It is right there." She says of the Jet, 'right there' being vague in so far as it could be 10 feet in the air, or a thousand! But likely it is just hovering up a comfortable distance!

She glances over at Morgan then. "You really did do a good job. You orchestrated the safety of the employees in there, as well as kept this heist from very possibly being a success."

"I wasn't near by. I was north of the city. I had no knowledge of this heist in progress. So... without you? This would not have gon so great." She says then with another quick smile.

The Jet silently starts to uncloak itself, just barely visible now a bit above their heads now...
Morgan Finn The praise from Diana dispels all traces of dour mood from Morgan. When the Invisible Jet materializes, Morgan glances upward.

"You know, Ferdinand just stocked some imported Tahitian vanilla bean ice cream," Morgan says. "If you get me out of this interview I'll make you a banana split so epic that it will change the course of history as we know it." He momentarily raises both eyebrows and smiles warmly at Diana.
Diana Prince This, of course, gets a lyrical laugh from the Princess. She ndos her head a couple times before she motions up to the Jet. "Get aboard then. I will go tell them that you have left on another important mission." She says before taking another sip of her coffee.

Straightening up again, the Princess turns and starts to walk back toward where the Police have taped off the area, the lasso bobbing against her hip back where it belongs, and not wrapped around that big ol' Otto fella.

Morgan will likely see the camera flashes and hear the shouting for attention toward Wonder Woman when she reapproaches the media swarm, and people with their phones all out!

Such a circus!
