Maynard Tiboldt Coney Island was a place well-known to people with even a basic knowledge of NYC. This island was home to one of the oldest theme parks in American history, and is still a favorite place for New Yorkers to visit. It was night-time at the island and the park was deserted, and the residential areas surrounding it were winding down for the night. It was a surprsingly crime-free night for the area, a bit too crime free. If one were paying attention they would hear a distant boom coming from the seemingy abandoned theme park. A few moments after this, a humanoid figure clad in red and wearing a bullet shaped helmet came flying through the sky and crashed right through a third story windown of a nearby credit union building, causing the sounds of shattering glass to echo across the night sky
Koriand'r Patrol was a vital part of duties of a Titan, being somewhere where there's pretty lights and good food? That was even better!

Kori wasn't really going to blend in any crowds, between attire and bright orange skin her extra-terrestrial nature was fairly self-evident, but the young woman was passing over the skyline with a takeaway coffee cup in hand when she heard the 'boom' of a cannon and the impact against the building.

Yeah, that warranted investigation!

Sweeping down in a glowing arc of green, Starfire approached the sight of impact.
Maynard Tiboldt As Starfire got closer to the site of impact she would see an unusual sight. There was a large, human sized hole in a third story window of the "Delouc Credit Union" franchise. The office the hole lead to was completley destroyed. Yet, there was no cannonball in sight. Suddenly, the sounds of clownish laughter and the clinking of crowbars are heard coming from deeper into the office. Yep, this was a robbery
Koriand'r Some criminals were subtle, masterful and elegant in their craft...others just hurled something heavy through a window and started busting stuff up. To be fair, throwing -themself- through a window floors up out of a canon was a new one for Koriand'r.

Touching down lightly, the heroine moves deeper into the office, towards the sound of dastardly deeds.
Maynard Tiboldt As you treak throug the halls of the Credit Union the sounds of laughter and clinkinh metal grows louder and louder, echoing errily off the walls of the abandoned officce building. In the distance you see the prone figure of a security guard, lying down on his back, his elderly face covered in what smelled like cream pie. As you approach you saw, no doubt to your relief, that he was still breathing. This instantly ruled out a possible Joker heist, and proved the criminals weren't up for killing, which was godd for you and the general public. Near the security guard was the door to the safe, which was cracked open and was filled with the sounds of laughter.

If you were to peek into the door you would see a group of men dressed up as circus clowns gathered around the medium sized safe, each with crowbars and other vault opening tools. They were all standing in front of their supposed leader, a man dressed in a red leotard and bullet-shaped helment banging on the safe with a mace. On the back of his leotard was the title "The Human Cannonball"
Koriand'r Clowns? Was this what Robin and the Bat family had to look forward to most nights? Still, the lack of lethality did indeed bring a little breath of relief before she moved forwards.

Peeking only lasted a moment, glowing eyes and bright orange skin didn't lend well for stealth, but Starfire could indeed see the heisters at work.

A breath, a moment to consider after she'd pulled the unconcious guard out of immediate danger and tapped her 'T-Comm' to signal for law enforcement and ambulances, the alien woman stepped up behind the group.

"If you wish to avoid injury," she spoke, glowing starbolts crackling between her fingers in warning, "you will surrender now."
Maynard Tiboldt The Clowns and the Human Cannonball turned around in unison when they heard your voice. The Cannonball justs smirks lightly as he says,

"Is dat so girly. In case you ain't noticed, there is more of us than of you."

Suddenly, the clowns all laugh as they pull out juggling balls and throw them all at you at once. As the balls land on the ground they explode into dark smoke. Suddenly, a savage war cry fills the air as the Cannonball emerges from the smoke and tries to swing his mace at your head
Koriand'r If one were to take out the whole 'looking like a clown' thing? Being attacked by a mace wasn't really that strange for Kori. The warlords of Okaara had been comprehensive in the time the princess had been trained by them, and this was a fairly standard exercise.

She doesn't advance when the smoke erupts, after all she was blocking the main exit, instead when the Cannonball rushes at her the young woman ducks low, letting the mace pass over her head before she sweeps low, swinging her leg to kick the criminal's feet out from under him.

Of course, unless he was superhuman the mace might not actually be a threat to her...but why advertise indestructability and open yourself up for a suprise?
Maynard Tiboldt The Cannonball lets out a yelp of surprise when he gets leg-sweepted and crashes down hard onto the floor, his mace rolling away from his hands. As Cannonball laid down on the groud in pain one of the clowns suddenly pulls out what appears to be a can of silly string and sprays it at Kori. Only, instead of string, fire came out
Koriand'r Fire. Annoying!

Kori actually reflexively shuts her eyes for a moment, shielding her face even as the flames harmlessly wash over her skin. She could survive reentry, flamethrowers were more an annoyance and a promise she'd be getting smoke and burn marks through her clothing.

Lifting her other hand she steps forwards, slapping the can clear out of the clown's hand before she drives her other hand into his stomach. Of course the punch was pulled given her strength, but it was still going to hurt like hell.

"I really implore the rest of you to surrender, or you will be in for quite a lot of pain."
Maynard Tiboldt The clown makes a grunt of pain as Starfire's fist hits his gut, hard. As the clown collapses onto the ground the rest of the clowns surrender, now realizing they were not gonna win. Meanwhile, the Cannonball slowly gets back onto his feet and begins to make a run for it
Koriand'r Sirens weren't likely far away, Kori had signalled the police and the sound of an explosive cannon shot earlier almost certain had woke some neighbours. With the rest of the clowns surrendering Kori nods her head in satisfaction, bright green gaze sweeping the setting. "Lay down on the ground, hands behind your head..." she instructs, only to pause as Cannonball starts to rise and run, earning a sigh from the alien.

If the cops didn't catchin him downstairs one of his mooks would surely give him up but...

Kori turns, lazily placing her boot to the mace that had been left laying on the ground and aiming, giving a light -kick- to send it skittering along the ground towards the fleeing man in a rapidly propelled tripping hazard.
Maynard Tiboldt The Mace shoots across the ground and straight towards Cannonball's feet. Cannonball trips and crashes down on the ground, knocking him out.
