Gabby Kinney Time: Sometime after withdrawing from Alchemax labs.
Place: Coventry - Outsiders Safehouse.
Flight: No food service. Sorry!

The destruction that was left behind at Alchemax would take them quite awhile to recover from. Granted, given the building had blown it's self-destruct option, it was more than lucky everyone got out safely. Except for those poor unfortunate zombie-puppets that had been alive only shortly prior. Whatever information might be gleaned from the nanomachine project was currently at Red Robin's disposal having been forwarded to a secure server for later use.

Belonna was not the happiest of rescuees as she pretty much grumped the entire time. These were people she didn't know, and only knew to trust because her sister had sent them. Plus she'd injured her leg making it difficult to walk though she showed no signs if pain at least.

The flight brings them back to Coventry to the safehouse where Gabby had been brought where she, Phoebe, and Inez are waiting for the others to return. It's not a large safehouse, but large enough, with a medbay set up for one. Gabby. There was also a couch, a few chairs, and a good padded place to stand for awhile if needed. It was small but functional and would hold everyone who might need it.

It was rather uneventful for those waiting on the others, except for that time when Gabby passed out and flat lined. She's better now though! At least that's what she keeps assuring Inez and Phoebe while sitting up on the bed in a dressing gown and some shorts because man those things were chilly.
Tim Drake     One of said padded places for standing is at the computer bank nestled in one corner of the converted underground parking garage. Another is, weirdly, in the middle of the area with nothing else to signify why it's there. But it's equipped for all the reasons one might be in need of a safehouse, so amongst other things there's food to compensate for the lack of an in-flight meal... if you're okay with MREs, that is.

One guess as to where Red Robin is, right now. Similarly, one guess as to which backup server he'd memory-dumped everything he'd managed to pull from Alchemax before severing the connection abruptly. Yes, he'd made for the computer immediately after entering from the alley they'd been dropped off from the jet into.

At least after staring at Gabby with no small amount of distress for a long moment.

More capable people than himself can tend to Belonna's leg. Tim's focused on the data, right now.
Phoebe Beacon     Phoebe was wearing her labcoat, her hair braided and pulled back. She had a pair of safety glasses with smart tech around her neck, and was hastily setting up additional triage stations -- because that's what one does when you're the Team Healz.

She had rigged a gurney and borrowed some additional medical tech from The Roost, and was putting on some finishing touches. Her dark eyes were minding how she had daisy-chained additional power strips to try to *not* short-circuit the safe-house in the process.

Nearby, a lean, leggy, lebows-and-kneebaps red-and-white hound with one upstanding ear and one that kinda isn't quite there yet is padding around, sniffing and looking for treats, sky-blue eyes settling on Tim, padding over, and setting his head in Tim's lap.

Idu adds +1 to Relaxation while searching.
Laura Kinney Laura Kinney sits between Belonna and the rest of the group. Trying to ensure her other clone sister has some space until she's ready to deal with the group. She's a lot more lightly equipped than at the start of the mission, having ditched the one use rocket launcher, and seems content to sit in silence.

At some point X-23 seems to have obtained a pad of paper and a pencil. And is idly making notes. Eyes closed to focus on her recollections of the sounds & smells from inside the Alchemax facility.
Wade Wilson     Deadpool is not having a good day. Sure, he managed to ginsu his way through some zombified guards. Sure, he managed to help bring down a building that was more of a sight for sore eyes than anything useful. Sure, he caused mayhem and millions of dollars of collateral damage in process. These were all good things.

He also had an anvil--a FUCKING anvil-- dropped on his upper spine for good measure.

Deadpool's mutation (forced or not) were often a mixed bag. One of the pros of having a mutant healing factor that makes Wolverine go 'That's some fast healing, bub': nothing he's found (and oh boy has he searched) can reasonably kill him for longer than a few minutes at a time. One of the cons: he's unkilling, not invulnerable. Which at the moment means he's paralyzed from the waist down.

"Why the hell was there an anvil in there? What fucking purpose could they feasibly have to keep that? It's a science lab, not ACME." He complaining as he's brought into the safehouse, because he has a right to. "I don't think I've ever been paralyzed before. Who knows how long this is going to take? I remember Logan was paralyzed once and he was out for a month. I got shit to do, I can't be down for a month."
Jonathan Sims     Jon takes the time to look over Belonna's leg on the way to the safehouse, mostly to be certain there isn't any shock or compartment syndrome or any of the other nasty things that can come from leg injuries. He's polite and friendly about the whole thing, and once he's certain she's not going to collapse on them before she gets to Phoebe, he backs off.

He also checks on Deadpool, and he's much less polite about that, giving a running commentary about the rudeness of people letting buildings fall on them, even while he uses his magic water to clean up whatever might have come from the mutant losing control of his bowels when he broke his spine. It's not for Wade's sake, not really; nobody wants to put up with the smell for that long.

"You could let one of us heal you," he points out, not for the first time. "Phoebe's far better at it than I am, but either way it would shorten the recovery period significantly. If you're going to refuse the healing, stop whinging and take it like an adult. You're setting a bad example for the children."
Conner Kent Conner has been uncharacteristically quiet during the trip to the safehouse. Probably still distraught about all those zombified guards they couldn't save. He takes those thing badly despite his usual 'I am cool with whatever' attitude.

Also, his leather jacket got shredded when the building fell on it. Fist this month, but it is just the second day of the month!

He peers over Laura's shoulder to see what she is writing. Alchemax just jumped a lot of places in his list of 'organizations of assholes to shut down'. He keeps a list, there are so many, so many of them to keep track.
Inez Temple Inez is there because Gabby is there. Just in case. Her favorite Logan kid (don't tell Jimmy) is in a spot, so she's there to make sure nothing tried to mess with her while the others tour the facility and rescue Bellona. It was her first experience with Gabby's flatlining, which was terrifying and provoked many possibly too-tight hugs when she got better. It also means that when the other arrive, she's likely the one that gets drafted to carry him in. Super strength and all. Plus, lets be honest, this is NOT the first time she's had to tote Wade around while he's on the mend.

"Wade, yer gonna be fine. Probably back on yer feet by end o' th' night. Now hush up or I'm stuffin' yer own sock in yer mouth an' lettin' Gabby draw all over yer face wit' sharpies. Th' ones that don't wash off." She can heft Wade up easily, looking towards Gabby with a smile, "Ya got th' rainbow ones, right? Gotta make sure he's all pretty an' colorful."
Gabby Kinney "I have all the sharpies, including the Neon 80's collection and the clothing Sharpies," Gabby informs quite matter-of-fact from her spot on the bed with many wires hooked up to her. She's sitting on the edge swinging her legs a little bit watching with worry as everyone comes back. Seeing Wade being carried in, in spite of the jesting, does cause her to look quite guilty over it. That lasts at least until Bellona limps her way in which results in Gabby launching herself from the table, tearing a few pads off, to CLING to the older albino clone. The pair share a hug which might be surprising given Bellona's grumpiness up until now.

"Thanks for sending help," Bellona offers the younger one before she nudges her away. "Leg's possibly broken so give me some space. I don't heal like you." With that Gabby ushers her to a seat before moving to check on everyone else. "How'd it go? What happened? Is everyone okay? I mean beyond the obvious stuff I guess and I mean what happened?"

Realizing she's rambling she takes a low, slow deep breath. Then proceeds to each in turn, pausing at Conner's ripped jacket with a wince. "I can get you a new one... Thanks for going and bringing Bellona back. And that goes for everyone," she adds glancing around to Tim, Laura, Jon. Wade already gets another look of concern before she fidgets uncomfortably not sure what to do or say at this point.

The data that Tim is beginning to get together is patchy at best, but it does speak of the nanomachines and this mysterious Project Ryker that is mentioned several times.
Tim Drake     There's no room in the utility belt for treats, sadly, but Tim spares a hand for pets. He still manages to type at an obnoxiously rapid rate, keys clacking with each twitch of his fingers. Trust Red Robin to be the kind of person who sets up even random safehouses with high quality mechanical keyboards.

"That feels a little generous," he says to Deadpool, without looking away from the screen. "I'm not sure I'd quantify most of what Alchemax did as 'science'."

His expression darkens into a grim frown, though his face is mostly hidden from the rest of the group, focused as he is on the computer.

In fact, he doesn't look away at all, even as he answers Gabby: "The lab was already compromised by the time we arrived. Your sister can probably fill you in on the details more than we can." Though he pauses. "Bellona, I mean."

And while he doesn't look over his shoulder to the clone sister in question, the pause that comes after does certainly suggest Tim is waiting for her.

"Oh, sorry, is it my turn?" Bellona asks, the fake politeness thick in her voice. "Sorry, just a little distracted with the whole broken leg thing." Which she hadn't complained about on the jet during Jon's inspection, though she'd frowned at him through the whole thing.

When Jon suggests Phoebe do the healing, Bellona only squints suspiciously over at her, neither accepting nor rejecting the offer to heal her leg.

She's managed to get it propped up in a chair, and after an exasperated sigh in no one's particular direction, though Laura (and by happenstance Conner, who's standing by Laura) seem to be mostly exempt, she mutters something in Inez's direction that might be a "Please."

Then, she begins her explanation. "I don't know why they had an anvil, but I do know they were up to their old tricks again. So I do what I do and had everything shut down before a bunch of costumed kids decided to boot everything back up again!" Absently, Bellona rubs her thigh, above where the break is. "The whole place blew up, though. Happy ending, in my book."
Phoebe Beacon     Phoebe has finished up her triage space as she looks around the assembled group, settling her eyes on Gabby and she points to her. "Don't mo-" -- and then Gabby's already tearing monitoring pads off to Phoebe's horror, and she straightens up, her eyes going wide as she takes a very deep breath, and leans over to try and conserve the materials.

"Bellona." Phoebe gives a smile, and makes her way to the injured woman. "I'm Phoebe, team medic, magician. I can substitute for a healing factor -- may I see your leg?" she asks, pulling a fresh pair of gloves out of her bag.

Idu moves from Tim's lap, sensing perhaps that someone else might need his heroic help, and trots over to Gabby to put his long head against *her* lap instead, blue eyes flicking upwards.
Laura Kinney "Family is family. No thanks needed," Laura murmurs. As if that explains everything. Besides it's not like she's ever needed encouragement to attack an evil cloning/science lab before.

Her notepad has a list of specific chemicals she'd been able to detect. Notes on weapons, equipment, tactics and training for Alchemax forces. Along with some coded shorthand that likely means nothing to Conner. Or anyone else for that matter.

A girls got to have some secrets! Even if they're probably just the 'weapons caches and tactical assest' sort.
Wade Wilson     Wade looks at Jon and blinks. "I set a bad example for the kids by being in the room, Archivist" he says before Inez picks him up and carries him to a safe location. "Yeah. Yeah. Honestly, that'd probbaly be an improvement on the curret set dressings" he mutters as she lowers him down like a sack of potatoes. "Thanks love." He pauses and then looks at her and shakes his head; annoying synpase bursts are annoying.

He looks at Tim. "Bad-mad science is still science" he opines before addressing the room. "Before anyone asks again, I don't need to be healed..." he would hold up a hand forestall people, but no dice on that. "I'm probably better at healing injury than anyone in the room right now. Me and the 'SNIKT-man' have had contests and it's close. -Scary- close." He doesn't say who comes up on top, because it's that close. "So don't waste the time on me. Fix the girl's leg and figure out how to get the flatliners out of Sis."

He looks at his wife. "Like the lady in the stetson says, I'll be fine by the end of the night." Which is just a testament to the success of the Workshop on making an artificial mutant who--if implanted with a control chip--could've been hell on wheels.
Conner Kent Conner glances up to Bellona, giving the albino woman and brief smile. "Gabby is a friend, one of us. If she is in trouble, we go beat up the people giving her trouble," he looks at Tim. "Preferably in a way they never again do it to anyone."

He folds his arms, stepping back and giving up trying to decipher whatever Laura is writing. "She thought you were missing after the winged guys attack in New York because someone had kidnapped you. What happened anyway?"
Jonathan Sims     Jon smiles as Gabby gets up and goes to hug Bellona. "Good to see you're feeling well," he comments. "I think Gabby should be fine for now, given that the server that was controlling the nanomachines seems to have been shut down again." This he says to Phoebe, as he settles himself off to one side. "But getting those nanomachines out of her would be ideal. There were... it looked like the guards had them implanted, and they..."

He stops, frowning, and looks to Bellona. "What are they... doing? It... that was... those men were /dead/. But they were... /aware/. I mean, I... I /know/ dead, and alive, I've been to the underworld and come back, and that was..."

He huffs out a breath. "It's an abomination, is what it is," he mutters darkly. "It was a mercy to kill them." He's annoyed enough about all of this, clearly, to drop the banter. He can always come back around to asking invasive personal questions of Wade and Inez later.
Inez Temple Inez sets Wade into a chair and smiles at him, "Anytime, darlin'. Jes' don't move yer head round too much or yer gonna topple right offa that chair, yeah? Last time ya did that ya managed t'add a punctured lung t' th' spinal damage." Winking at him, she drops a kiss to the top of his head and moves aside so he can still see the goings on without having to crane around.

She leans against a pillar and nods to Bellona, "Hi, glad they were able t'get ya back. Gabs were real worried bout ya." She flashes a quick smile, then looks around the group, "Are y'all sure ya got all th' research out? No backups or nothin'? Any chance they already got everythin' moved over t'another location before y'all got there?"
Gabby Kinney Gabby Kinney feels the glances from Phoebe. FEELS the disapproval. FEELS the fact that she probably messed up the readings from some machine or another with pulling off the diodes. Of course she knew she did but now she felt just a little guilty about it. When Phoebe goes over to heal Bellona she gives a quick nod to her sister assuring her it's okay. "She's great, trust her. Or me. But let her." Of course, she does seem to allow it which puts Gabby a bit more at ease. Laura gets a look as well before she moves over to hug her, too, whether she wants to or not. "Yeah but still thanks. It means a lot to me that she's back. I'm gonna go hook myself back up to the beepy machines now."

Sighing a little she starts back only to pause where Wade is propped up to grin at him. Her gaze flicks to Inez, then back to Wade, and she suggests, "You know, if you get bored we could see about balancing you places for planking challenge photos. It's a bit of a dated meme but..." She shrugs a little as she turns to hop back up onto the med table where she busies herself with finding what hooks to what on her.

"Yeah, if we can get them out or turn them off or I dunno reprogram them or something that would be great. It doesn't hurt but it is such a WEIRD feeling just... dropping like that."
Tim Drake     "It's entirely possible that the data they had on those servers exists elsewhere." The data that Red Robin is now furiously sifting through, if the amount of use his mouse wheel is getting is any indication. "Still," he adds, after a moment, "The lab is a complete write-off, at least. Silver linings."

Jon's mentions of the nanomachines seems to hone his focus, and Tim's contributions to the conversation drop off pretty sharply.

Not that there's a lack of that to go around, given how many people are here.

Bellona doesn't add to it much either, not after her initial info-dump. Her hackles are up as Phoebe approaches, shoulders raised minutely, but after the nod--and the accompanying statement from Gabby--she does finally consent to the offer with a small nod of her head.

She does manage a snort at Conner, and then "Bad-mad science," which serves both as a (non-)answer to Jon and a good mocking attempt of Wade. Two birds, etc.

"They're not just going to stop," she hisses out. "They definitely have backups, and they've sunk too much into this project. It's only a matter of time before another site goes live and starts broadcasting again." Bellona leans back into the chair she's seated in with an expression that probably only reads as a grimace to Laura and Gabby. "Ticking clock. We have to take care of the nanomachines now. Red guy! Since you decided it was a good idea to hack into their servers and undo my hard work, did you at least get anything good out of it?"

And it honestly takes Tim a solid couple of seconds, unusual for him, to realize he's being spoken to. He swivels around in his computer chair, slightly. "I only pulled partial data. Give me time, and I'll have an answer for you."

Which only earns him a snort and a roll of her eyes from Bellona, of course.
Phoebe Beacon     "If you're in lesser danger now Gabby, we can just go with a wrist monitor. I'll synch it as soon as I'm done. As for you, Mouth -- if you insist on not being healed again, I'll heal you out of *spite." Phoebe states, the Gotham Urban accent coming out a little stronger, and she breathes out with a little huff.

"All right. I'm going to put my fingers on your leg. You may feel tingling." she explains quietly, and she draws down to bring her fingers up to support the broken leg of Bellona.

IDu blinks at the back-and-forth exchange, his wibble-ear flicking, the upstanding one radar-ing, and then he goes to hop up on Gabby's gurney and pokes at her hand.
Laura Kinney If anyone else had tried to hug Laura she'd have ducked away instinctively. But Gabby is one of the rare few that X-23 allows to get close. She even pauses in her note taking to pat her Sister on the shoulder.

Her eyes flick down to Bellona's shoes. "If you had chance to fully explore the facility I might be able to pick up more trace scents from your boots." It's not a pretty job but someone has to do it.

"I've put word out through my network of informants. If they have more labs they'll have needed stocking with scientific equipment at some stage. And I keep an eye on the sorts of firms which make high tech lab equipment and don't ask questions when they sell it.." It's the fastest way to find clues about the remaining cells of 'The Facility' after all.
Wade Wilson     Wade eyes Gabby for a moment and doesn't shrug, though it's implied in his tone. "You do what you want to do" he says. "Not like I'm doing much but sleeping and being hand fed by a beautiful buxxom blonde, so... I'm pretty set" he grins at Inez.

He pauses and eyes the younger Kinney again. "Are we going to have to get with the Van Dyne's and do a whole Magic School Bus meets Space Invaders inside you?" he asks. "Because that would be -totally- awesome if we did. Just sayin'."

He pauses and looks at Inez. "Did I ever tell you how much of a crush I had on Ms. Frizzle back when I was a child? Definitely my first chub." He makes a sound that most (read: all) would consider obscene in context, but pipes down after to let the science types science things out.
Jonathan Sims     Jon frowns deeply at Bellona's non-answer, and says, "Well, I don't know how much I can help with tracking them down, but I'm certainly willing to come help get rid of any further labs we might find. The whole business is... wrong." He rolls his shoulders, trying to shrug that off.

He looks around at Gabby and notes, "The dying-and-coming-back can't be good for you, even with a healing factor. Bouncing back and forth between life and death like that... it'll do things to your mental state eventually."

He glances over at Deadpool and mutters, "Speaking of..." He waves his left hand, and conjures up a piece of duct tape, which promptly slaps itself over the merc's mouth. "Have at it with the Sharpies, girls," he says, glowering at Wade. "I'll put up with a lot, but sullying Ms. Frizzle is just a bridge too far."
Inez Temple Inez glances from one to the other, then back to Wade and lifts a shrug, "I know some people that are pretty low-down. C'n ask 'round, see who's got the locations fer more o' these places. Someone's providin' security, someone who ain't carin' much bout what happens to those people." She looks back to Wade, "I could reach out t'Tony. He's gonna want somethin' in return, but if anyone's gonna have a finger on this kinda pulse..." Something in her tone suggests she doesn't mean Tony Stark.

Moving back towards where he's propped, she chuckles, "Yeah, ya tol' me... lasted bout three years, til ya got made t'watch Golden Girls wit'... Nana, wasn't it? Then ya found Bea Arthur..."

When the duct tape appears, she lifts a brow, then looks back to Jon, "Yer only makin' it worse. Ya jes' stuck yer finger in th' dyke, man."
Gabby Kinney "I..." Gabby trails off at Jon's remarks about bouncing back between life and death. The rest of the conversation just flows around her breifly as she sits there glancing down to Idu with his head in her lap. One hand lifts to rest atop his head giving some idle scritches while contemplating this. Or perhaps thinking on the topic herself. How many times had this happened to her since the beginning of realizing it had happened? She never did tell, did she?

"I know. I'm fine. It's not like Limbo at least. Been there a few times." Another pause as she risks glancing up with a half-nod. "I'm tired."

Then just to make everyone feel old she asks, "Who'se Miss Frizzle?"

Regardless the duct tape comes out earning a shrug from her as she puts on that smiling face again that was so easy to come to her. It might be a little faked this time to put the others at ease given the situation. "We can do whatever we need. I'm not gonna argue. I mean, if it works, right?"

Inez gets a nod as well, and she clears her throat. "I've got a few connections I can ask too. I think he's back in the country now from his vacation." She pauses here, and holds up her hand to tick off a few fingers. "I uh, might have made friends with a few people. Catman. Juggernaut."
Tim Drake     "It's fine," Bellona says to Phoebe's warnings. Now that she's accepted the offer for healing, despite her hesitance, she waves Phoebe on as if to imply she can just get on with it.

She doesn't seem bothered at all by Laura's offer, either, though Bellona does look down at Laura's shoes. Considering a swap, maybe.

And then her "Jesus Christ" at Wade is echoed by a thunk from over by the computers, as Red Robin lets his forehead smack against the desktop. Which he then repeats a few more times, lightly.

    Thunk. Thunk thunk thunk.

Once Tim's managed to pull himself back together again, he says, "Anarky might keep a closer eye on the criminal underbelly's flagrant disregard for scientific ethics than I do these days. I'll ask him, see if any of his old acquaintances might know something."

Bellona, for her part, only looks around at all of the offers of support, before her focus settles on Gabby.

"Between me and your dress-up friends, Gabby, we're going to fix this." While Phoebe is next to her, Bellona extends an arm. "I need you to take a sample of my blood. I'll explain the details later, but the nanomachines they injected me with aren't like the ones Gabby has. They can fix this."
Phoebe Beacon     "I think everyone had a crush on The Frizz in school if you were capable of appreciating how hard that woman worked to get her class involved with the sciences. Certainly contributes to the love of geeky redheads." Phoebe answers from where she's doin' a heal on Gabby's pale sister. "Ms Frizzle was a teacher with a school bus that could generate particular outfits and supplies for the children in her class and was known for her completely outlandish thematic clothing." she explains for Gabby's benefit.

It's about three and a half minutes. The bone's knit enough. "It'll take a couple of days for the residual energy to finish and dissipate. In the mean time I reccommend increasing your calcium and protein intake and maybe some B-vitamins." she suggests with a smile -- and then at the request to take blood?

"-- right. Let me grab the kit." she states, drawing back to a stand as she goes for a different kit from her triage bag, and then comes back with something that looks moderately like a glue gun.

"What do you mean 'they can fix this'?" she questions, her eyebrows rising up as she presses gently against Bellona's arm, finds a good vein, and rests the sampler below the crook of her elbow.

With a little electric pinch, blood fills the vacuum vial.
Laura Kinney Laura Kinney glances at her Sisters. "Should we involve the rest of the family?" she wonders. "They have resources we could make use of. But I don't know how much you want to involve them."

The advantage of most of her sisters being clones is they can share clothing like shoes. It's also one of the biggest disadvantages. Sadly the shoes X-23 was wearing are shredded by her foot claws and soaked in blood. Certainly not in a state anyone will be borrowing anytime soon!

"If things get really bad we could consider a blood transfusion. Run a tube from me into Gabby and allow my healing factor to shoulder some of the burdon." Or it'll just increase the number of people getting killed by nanomachines. It's not an area of science she's familiar enough with to really know the risks. But risk rarely stops a Kinney from doing anything..

Thankfully she's so out of touch with pop culture that whatever Inez and Wade are talking about goes right over her head. Actually now that X-23 thinks about it that pretty much happens with all of the things Wade says around her...
Wade Wilson     Wade was about to go into more but the duct tape appears over his mouth and shuts off his ability to talk. "Mmm..Mmmph.. mmm!" he says against the block. After a few moments of muffled irritation he sighs and sits back against his chair. His eyes offer extreme disapproval at Jon and but the Archivist has managed to de-mouth the Merc With A Mouth.
Jonathan Sims     "If Wade wants to get back at me he can do so /later/," Jon says to Inez with aplomb. "For now, he's distracting." He nods to Tim as if to note case-in-point, and then gives Wade a bright, cheeky smile, grinning almost ear-to-ear. "We /did/ warn you."

He frowns at Gabby for a long moment, then offers in a quiet tone, "If you'd like to talk about it... well... that's literally what Red asked me to meet you all for. Talking about this sort of thing. It'll stay confidential, but talking about it really can help."

Then he focuses his attention on watching Phoebe and Bellona with a slight frown. "A blood transfusion the other way?" he guesses. "The nanomachines... what, disable the ones she has?"
Inez Temple "Hey, I'm givin' ya a heads up. His chatter don't bother me none," Inez flashes a grin towards Jon before moving towards Gabby and propping a hip on the edge of the bed/gurney where all the med stuff is set up. She nudges at Gabby and smiles, "Yer body, Gabs. Whatcha wanna do? Ya got some options. Looks like yer sister's offerin' t'share her non-zombie nanos, there's th' potential t' jes' shut 'em down or whatever. We can talk all we want but in th' end we're here fer whatever yer wantin' t'do." Reaching up, she tugs her in for a quick, tight hug and smiles, "We'll back yer play."

Glancing back over towards the computer and the OTHER guy in red, she asks, "Any way we c'n trace th' signal bein' sent t' th' nanos back t' its source? Jes'.. as a curiosity. If they're gettin' messages, stands t'reason there's somethin' doin' th' transmittin'..."
Gabby Kinney Gabby Kinney leans in against Inez's side when she hops up onto the table to sit beside her. The hug only helps, and she gives a nod of agreement. Jon's suggestion earns a small smile in return. "I'll think about it. Later. Not the main issue right now," she reasons only to clear her throat a little. "Thanks Inez."

What has her most curious though? Her gaze flits over to Bellona to regard her sister with confusion. "What do you mean you didn't get the same ones? I know you got yours at a different time, but..." Her mind is already ticking over the possibilities, and she shrugs a bit helplessly. "Let's try that then? Seems the easiest chance to take right now since Red Robin is still working on the data. But yeah, tracing signals might be good too," she adds with a nod of agreement.
Tim Drake     "I don't think it's as simple as a blood transfusion, but Gabby's nanomachines are an 'upgraded' version." And yes, Bellona fully makes finger quotation marks there to communicate what she thinks of *that*.

She's momentarily distracted when Phoebe announces her healed, more or less, and some flexing of the previously injured leg does seem to support this. At the very least, she'll be able to walk out of here rather than be carried.

Which prompts her to stand up, and put her weight on it carefully. "Huh. Fun trick you have there."

That seems to be about the extent of the thanks Phoebe is going to get, there.

Bellona sits back down when Phoebe returns for the blood draw. She only shrugs at Laura's question.

"I'm still running the old version," she says with a quick roll of her eyes. "Didn't warrant the upgrade. Once you have my blood, all you need to do is roll the code back on Gabby's nanomachines. You know. Science it." One of her shoulders bumps up and down, casually. "Should be easy."

Her expression does soften a touch as Bellona looks at Gabby, though she stays quiet after that.

Naturally, Tim's been paying attention the whole time, even if he hasn't stopped searching through the data he pulled. "We can trace it if they send out the signal again. Though we'll need to preserve some of the nanomachines that receive it to know." Behind his domino, his eyes narrow. "Separate from Gabby. I'm sure we can figure out a way to preserve them in a sample."

And he has nothing to say immediately to Bellona's suggestion of 'sciencing it' but anyone looking over will have noticed he's immediately tabbed over into a new window and started typing, pulling up medical research journals no doubt.
Phoebe Beacon     Idu keeps his head on Gabby's lap, but his tail wags as Inez joins her. The red-and-white sighthound, that looks like a greyhound crossed with a wire-haired Jack Russel with blue eyes gazes longingly. Idu is a good boy. Idu deserves pettings and treats.

Phoebe, meanwhile, gives a sidelong look to Bellona. "Not a trick. Magic."

And that's all she expands on it, taking the vial of blood and giving it a shake before she brings it to a sample storage container, and sets it up for analysis.

"So once they're examined, we can roll back the software they're running on and preserve Gabs until we can sort them all out." she replies thoughtfully, and bites the inside of her cheek a moment. She looks to TIm.

"Could always do what I did for the backup plan for the Archives."
Inez Temple Inez smiles at Gabby and gives a nod, "We're here fer ya, Gabs." Idu gets a scritch and pet for being such a good boy, she even scruffs down the back of his neck to get those itchy back of the neck spots. Maintaining her place at Gabby's side to give the young woman a comfy lean spot if she wants it, the cowgirl-looking woman glances around towards Phoebe, "If we're lookin' t' do both th' rollback an' th' tracin'... should we get a sample o' Gabby's nanites b'fore they get th' rollback?" She looks to Gabby, "That sound okay? We c'n take a small sample so they keep th' upgrades but we keep 'em separate, jes' so we c'n follow whatever signal gets sent to 'em? It'll prob'ly make trackin' down th' active labs easier if'n we c'n jes' do a signal trace instead o' havin' t' scout out every blackout lab we c'n find."

There's a glance sent to both Tim and Phoebe, questioning if the suggestion is a valid one. She's not unused to weird tech or medical needs, but it's hardly a specialty.
Jonathan Sims     Jon nods quietly to Gabby, and listens to the chatter. "So we can't... /remove/ the nanomachines, so we need to... what, change the code and pray these people don't figure out how to change it back?" He shakes his head, and sighs. "There must be ways to get them /out/, although I suppose they might be dangerous. It's not really my area of medical expertise."

"Ms... umm..." He peers at Inez. "I'm sorry, I don't think I know your name? I'm Jonathan Sims, by the by. The Archivist. But, ahh, yes, as she said, it's obviously your choice, Gabby. All of this is."

He directs a frown, then, at Phoebe. "...Backup plan for the Archives?" He lifts his eyebrows.
Gabby Kinney "I'm not super smart like some people," Says Gabby who had smarts of her own but knew her limits. "But I think you have to make something accept a software upgrade before it'll work, right? So if those can," she gestures to the blood sample, "Reprogram mine then I don't think they can force another programming without doing so physically? I don't know?" It's a hope though and she's sounding hopeful at the thought of it.

Idu gets some more scritches as well as she is fully capable of paying attention to the goodest boy along with the conversation. The distraction was nice, actually, and helping to keep her calm for the most part. Not that she wasn't but there was a lot to take in here too.

She nods in agreement to her own blood being taken while extending an arm. "Pick a spot, I'm not picky about where I bleed from."
Tim Drake     The mention of the Archives has Tim clucking his tongue. "What's your experience on mixing magic and technology? Not sure if it's the best route."

Still typing? Yep, he's still typing. And as he continues clacking away on the keys, he adds, "If I can pin down the specific mechanisms that the nanomachines use, I might be able to figure out how to force the downgrade."

His head tilts downwards and slightly to the left, which most of the Outsiders will probably know at this point means he's distracted by something in his HUD. Sending out a few messages via a ocular-based texting program to some of the more tech-inclined Bats and adjacents.

Meanwhile, Bellona is holding a piece of cotton to the pinprick mark left behind by the needle. "I'll keep myself available if you need more samples. Not local, but... available."

Though it's actually Tim who stands, pushing the chair away from the desk. The only explanation he gives is, "I need to source some equipment for this," before he makes an astonishingly rapid exit.

Not the Bat now-you-see-me, now-you-don't type. He just walks off at a fast clip.
Wade Wilson     Wade's been listening to the conversation and -has- had some positive ideas to put in. Though knowing Wade it's more than likely been more complications to the situation in the long run. He focuses on trying to move his arm, to get it up to his mouth and remove the duct tape.

The resulting action is a twitch of his index and middle fingers. He deflates and makes a grumbling sound of displeasure at his gagged and (metaphorically) bound state. He would be all for it on other--more private--occasions. This is not one of those times.
Inez Temple Inez flashes a quick grin towards Jon, "Inez Temple. Outlaw. I'm Gabby's pseudo-sister an' a friend. Married t' th' one ya duct-taped." She nods towards Wade and winks at him before looking back to Jon and nods her agreement to him. Looking back to Gabby, she smiles, "Depends on how advanced they are, I think. But this is gettin' way outta my wheelhouse, so I'm jes' spitballin'." Speaking of the Red Mask, she gives Gabby a squeeze before hopping up to go release Wade from at least PART of his bondage. Pulling up the mask just enough to rip the duct tape right off. Maybe a layer or two of skin too. Depends on how sticky it was!
Jonathan Sims     "All I know is that every few months there's some 'zero hour' thing I have to update all my devices for lest anyone get into highly confidential patient records," Jon says with a shrug toward Gabby. "But I think Red Robin's on it." He watches the younger man leave, frowning.

The duct tape actually /disappears/ as Inez pulls it off, dissolving into motes of emerald light. Magic! And yes, it'll hurt coming off. "Pleasure to meet you, Outlaw," he says. "I'd say 'I'm sorry' that you're married to him, but he's weirdly endearing, I've noticed."
Gabby Kinney Gabby Kinney grins as she watchees Inez get up to free poor Wade from his magically enforced silence. Though she can't feel pain she does wince in sympathy when that tape is ripped right off. Her head tilts toward Jon, and she gives Idu a few more good ear scritches as she does. "Of course he's endearing, he's my brother. We're all a super charming family once you get to know us!" Really. Trust her. "Though I can't say that for all my brothers..." She trails off with a shake of her head. "There's one I haven't met yet and I heard he's kind of a dick. But anyway!"

A glance is cast after the fleeing Tim's direction though she doesn't say anything more of it. She'd follow up with him later. "Thanks again everyone. I mean, I appreciate it, really. All the help."

Bellona for her part had hesitated by the doorway only to give a grunt at the talk going on. "I can deal with Gabby being sappy but the rest of you. Ugh." A glance is cast to the side before offering, "I'll be with Zelda if you need me, Gabby. ... You've got a good bunch here." The best compliment she can give. Then she's out through the doors herself intending to go away somewhere by herself.
Wade Wilson     Wade groans in discomfort and works his mouth a bit after the magical ductape is removed. He gives a glare to Jon for a moment and then shakes his head slightly. "I'd bitch you out but I know some of the shit you or at least a version of you went through, so you get a pass this time around."

He looks to Gabby. "So we on wait duty for now? To see what Boy Wonder number... two, three?" he's unsure which Robin Red Robin happens to be and leaves it as a guess. "Can come up with?"

He makes a distressed face all of sudden. "Fuck... here comes the itch" he says as his healing factor starts working on stitching nerves back together. "Why does it always have to itch... I hate that. It's not like I can scratch my spinal cord, why does it need to have that response."
