Saeko Literally a space between spaces, Saeko had taken Thomas...somewhere. A toll paid for in a treat and the pair had reappeared in what seemed to be far from the city, a luxurious and traditional japanese style estate atop a mountain and near a hotspring, yet to look down the mountain would show nothing but mist...as if the world below didn't quite share its space.

Pocket dimension for a Tenko, but it would suffice for safety and comfort given she hadn't required a hotel on Earth of late.

"It should be comfortable, warm..." she begins only to pause as she steps out of her shoes with a little gesture for him to do the same. Culture and respect was important in divine hideaways after all!
Thomas Blake Thomas Blake doesn't need prompting to leave his shoes behind. A moment later his shirt follows the shoes. He piles the clothes on top of his duffle bag and after a moment removes his sheathed blades and adds them to the pile.

"Warm is nice. I'm used to either too hot -like Africa, or cold like Gotham in Winter. This is really nice." He paces in a circle in the luxuriant grass to flatten an area and lies down on it sighing. He seems peaceful for a moment. Then he sits upright and says, "Rasputin! What happened to Rasputin?"
Saeko Revealed in her full glory, complete with her foxy features and that usual yukata, Saeko leads the way into the space and then settles herself down kneeling on the wood at the steps that lead to the grass Thomas paces.

His question? It brings a wave of her hand, the divine spirit smiling. "He is comfortable, resting in a place as close to his natural habitat that I could manage."
Thomas Blake Thomas Blake heaves a sigh of relief then rubs his head. "I'm still trying to remember things. I know someone did this to me. I want to find them and kill them for this. Is that what I usually did to people? I... killed before. Pretty sure I did it a few times. I get flashes.. two Zandians in an alley left for a vampiress -she was quite nice. Two men in an elevator -the big one begged -I still turned his gun on him and blew his brains out. I'm not one of the good guys, am I? I made Rasputin hurt people too..."

He looks at the kitsune and says, "You're like an angel. Why are you helping someone like me?"
Saeko "Because I choose to," Saeko shrugs, tilting her head to the side as he lists his memories and asks his questions, earning a soft chuckle from the vixen. "You have fought, spilled blood more than once and enjoyed the suffering of your foes. You have acted outside the laws of man more than once..."

A beat, she shrugs her partially bared shoulders. "Does that make you bad? Good? Hard to say."

She smiles, looking to the man. "I would say the question is what you -wish- to be, Thomas."
Thomas Blake Thomas Blake pulls Saeko gently towards him and licks her cheek. He head nuzzles her ruff and ear as he ponders. "I wish to be a man who does as he will and bows to no one. Some... one once said Rasputin was a king. He was wrong. Tigers only rule themselves. Any others they let be or destroy. You don't rule a tiger. It may be your friend. Your companion. Never a pet. My... ex was making me a pet? I feel that way. se were in love and then she left and returned and was something else. At first she was a lot like you. Now she's probably another person and... I'm done."
Saeko The gesture earns a giggle, the fox pulled from her position on her knees resting to her hip as she's embraced. "A connection to the infernal or divine of any variety can make one strange, mercuirial and...different. I am perhaps the same in some ways, but different in many others. It is the nature of...well, an immortal's nature."
Thomas Blake Thomas Blake chuckles. "I hope I did that right. I'm more familiar with big cats. Weird how I remember the Serengeti better than my human life. Mercurial is a good word for us both. As for immortal, I'm immortal till I die if that makes sense. I need to go to Gotham. there's someone there that might help me with my memory. Then I'm going to find the people who did this. If i may impose further, can you keep Rasputin here for now. I'll prepare a place for us. I have something in mind. But I need to o someplace very dangerous. He can't come, not yet."

"I need to go home. I need to go to Gotham City."
Saeko "I will aid you where I can," Saeko nods lightly, settling herself down into a comfortable lean against the man's shoulder. "I can look after Rasputin, but without knowledge of what has been done to you the means to restore your memory magically is...unreliable."

She shifts, her hand moving to place atop his. "Rest, gather your strength. I will send you to Gotham soon enough..."
