Natasha Romanova Natasha Romanoff is currently settled over on one of thechairs in the study. She has an old looking file folder on her lap with crested, faded yellow papers within that look like tenth generation xeroxes from however long ago they were. Natasha is slowly reviewing the long since faded manuscripts within, looking occasionally amused while jotting down the occasional Cyrillic on top of it.
Karen Starr     And that's about when in comes the Angriest Avenger. Karen pushes her way into the study, a few multicolored folders under her arm. Her mood is its usual temperamentally abrupt, and while she has a constant air of genuine Bothered at all times... This time is perhaps a little more intense than usual.

It's plain to see that what she's carrying are a number of after-action reports, a stack of them apparently unfinished and therefore unfiled. She moves over to one of the tables and drops the things down, before setting herself down in a chair and pulling one open. Were they entirely digital, she could use a computer to do them at super-speed, like she used to do with the League... But paper doesn't handle that very well, and someone has seen fit- who, she doesn't know- to make Power Girl fill out all of her reports in this disgustingly slow analog format. As if it were the 90s.

With a groan of frustration, she starts reading- which, thankfully, she can do at beyond human levels- before starting to write down a number of odd details here and there with a regular ol' ball point pen.

Sadly, it isn't easy to ignore the woman, as in between jotting down the notes she needs to complete each form, she is clicking the pen. A few dozen times per second.
Natasha Romanova     Going to turn over to face Power Girl, Natasha would go to close the file folder shut, then going to press it to the side. "You appear to have some catching up to do. I take it that this has been on the backburner for awhile? And you don't want to use somethign so.. Combustible if you're filing those out." Yes, the redhead can engage in being amused.
"I might suggest using a slightly mroe durable material if you have to put it down in such a fashion for whomever up the chain decided they need those in triplicate. You could ask to see if you could get some thin sheets of carbon fiber. That and then get a proper stencil to use with it." She would offer as helpful advise.
"So how far back does the backlog go? And you've also done some catchup analysis to make sure that what you're putting is accurate? Or is that much detail not needed on the events?" Yes, someone that has spent about eighty years filling out intelligence reports knows the way the game is played.
Karen Starr     The clicking stops as Power Girl looks up at any distraction from the paperwork. Her expression is somewhat dead as she looks over at Natasha, and then the paperwork, to which she offers a sigh.

"I requested something more durable so that I could do all of this," she gestures to no less than a dozen small folders, "In less than a second and get back out to doing real work." Looking back down at the papers, she at least /seems/ to skim through a few pages rather quickly, before there's another click, and she's writing again. Faster, definitely, than a human could: But not at ridiculous speeds. "The request was denied. Most of this is worthless anyways."

Then, she stops, and looks back up at the redhead. "It goes... A ways back. These are just the Avengers actions I've been a part of for the last... Month. As far as analysis goes, I've got a good memory." That's a lie- she's not only Kryptonian, but as far as Kryptonians go, she would've been classified as a prodigy and a genius had the planet not, you know, exploded. In another universe.

"It's /all/ accurate." That statement is dry. The blonde does not seem to like being tested.
Natasha Romanova     Natasha would give a nod, "Yes, and the fact that it wasn't provided means that you can accomodate the materials or you can find your own alternatives. If you find the circumstance as irritating as this, the least you can do in turn is find a way to make it as irritating for whomever has required the materials to be prepared in such a manner. I'm sure that you can come up with some ways. And I've found that reports are quite useful."
She would fold her hands. "So while they might not be the most pressing thing, don't understate the advantages they can give. Particularly in the hierarchy of a large organization."
Karen Starr     While on most days, at most times, Karen would be absolutely pleased as punch to have any sort of distraction from the monotony of paperwork, it seems like today is when the paperwork has a living advocate to make sure that her only distraction is, somehow, more paperwork.

There's a deep, resentful sigh that only those in the Avengers and League who work with this particular Kryptonian on a daily basis aren't intrinsically afraid of, before she looks up from the papers again. "You don't get it, I was told that it /had/ to be on regular, old, tricolor transfer paper. I tried submitting it digitally, but then that wasn't good enough, so I tried using a carbon polymer that you can write on and just doing it really fast, but /that/ wasn't good enough. Someone, apparently, wants to specifically /waste/ my /time/ which, by the way, is altogether the /worst/ problem here. There are people out there crying for help, and I can /hear/ them at all times, and in order to maintain a working relationship with the Avengers, I have to spend so much time doing /this./"
Natasha Romanova Natasha Romanoff would fold her hands together and lean back. Knowing how to deal wtih thsoe that were irritable in this sorts of way. "Well, then the most effective way to go about it when you're -done- is to find out who in the organization requires it to be done in such a way. Then focus your.. Irritation upon them and build up a degree of consensus as to how to get it changed." She would affirm.
"And reports are rather important. I can't speak for the formatting beyond I find it useful in ways that digital isn't necessarily. Digital can be altered, erased, lost. Solid matter is resistant, cannot be as easily altered or changed, and is easier to make copies of that likewise you can tell if they've been edited. And reports of engageemnts and activities are quite pressing and useful."
Karen Starr     Power Girl stood up, then, that comment having struck either a chord or a full nerve. Quietly, she went over and gathered a metal trash bin, from elsewhere in the room. Without a word, she took the folders, and just dropped them one by one into the bin.

She didn't look at the folders as she did this, instead giving Nat a single, blank expression. Walking over to a window, she opened it up for a moment and, holding the bucket out of it, she turned the contents to ash with a quick blast of heat vision.

"There. Paperwork done." she noted, setting the bucket- which, after a few moments, stops smoking- "I understand malicious compliance, but I specialize more in malicious noncompliance. If you guys want paperwork, you're getting it my way."
Natasha Romanova Natasha Romanoff would fold her hands together over in light amusement, "If you feel that's the most efficient way to deal with it." She would watch Power Girl and settle back. "I was going to say that there were more effective ways you could have made your point depending on the amount of effort you wanted to put into it. I can still offer them if you don't mind." Seemingly non-chalant over about it.
not really judging the other woman, but just highly amused. "And however you see fit to handle things and that things are filed. If anyone else has problems, then I'm sure that they'll follow up with it."
Karen Starr     Setting the garbage pale on the window sill and leaving it open, Power Girl turned to face Natasha. "It's certainly the least effort solution." she declares, washing her hands of the matter while allowing the bin to cool down.

"This is how I see fit to handle it." she states, gesturing to the bin again. "I /implore/ you to let anyone who has any issues with the way it's being handled to speak to me directly."

Then, calmly, as irate as she entered, Karen starts moving to leave the study. Paperwork had been, apparently, the only reason she was there.
Natasha Romanova     Natasha Romanoff would just shake her head in light amusement, "I think you might want to talk to someone that could actually make some change in regards to things or lend a shoulder to vent at. You'd probably want to talk to Pepper. She's the one that's mastered the arcane art of bureaucracy. And I'm not the one to speak to on the evils of it nor to give sympathy on the matter."
Says the one that's long since gone to work within the system. So, presuming that Peeg is leaving, Natasha goes back to the file folder she was working on previously. NOt paying more attention unless asked to.
