Owner Pose
Bobby Drake It has been a long series of weeks of late for Bobby Drake, and his mood has only slowly started to veer back towards its usual sunny disposition. He has been starting to reconcile with the reality of his situation, but not quite ready to give up. All of it has combined to make the usually optimistic Iceman into a bit of a chilly disposition in dealing with others of late.

Today finds him making his return to the library, still searching out on his own for answers to his current dilemma.
Emma Frost Emma Frost is entering into the library. She's got a rather large book carefully held under an arm that looks old. Bulky and thick. She's moving to then cluck her tongue, looking back to the shelves where seh got it, and then moving to put it back in place. Noticing Bobby.

"Robert."
Bobby Drake "Emma." Bobby looks over at Emma, but there is not a smile in his face. His eyes glance briefly at the book she is holding - bulky old books are always curiosity inducing.
Emma Frost Emma Frost would go to put it up on the shelf. "Robert, you've been rather irritable as of late." she would note, going for the direct route. "Rather directed at me. Given the rather minimal state of our interactions, I feel like I deserve an explanation."
Bobby Drake "You're right. It's probably not fair to take it out on you." For a moment, Bobby seems apologetic. "It's that ... whatever she is ... that you brought here." Clearly he still blamed Divine for flambéing the vampire and escalating matters the night he was bitten.

"And if you suddenly couldn't poke around in peoples heads whenever you felt like it, don't you think that would make you irritable?"
Emma Frost Emma Frost would go to cross her arms, "Yes, Robert. And for all intents and purposes she is a child who was abused rather extensively who was acting to protect her friends. Not in the best way, but of the best intentions. As near as I can determine she is two, perhaps three years old and only has been free for about four or five months and being an actual person."

Emma is rather blunt. "And I prefer not to poke around in heads unless I have to. A lesson that I've had to learn rather painfully. It's not fair to those that I hope to be considered an ally of."
Bobby Drake "Well, perhaps a three year old should not be on the field of battle." Bobby snorts a bit. "Do you know how many hours in the Danger Room and how many years of training we force anyone to go through before we let them join us in a fight?" He shakes his head. "I'm sorry. I realize she was just trying to help. But that's when bad things happen."

He looks at Emma, considering quietly. "I know you are trying to become our ally. I still don't understand it. What changed, for you?"
Emma Frost Emma Frost would shake her head, "She wasn't intended to be, Bobby. She ame out to help while the Mansion was being attacked. Then hse was caught in things and teleported with the rest of us." She would wave a hand. "So it's not as if she intended to come in. Shew as taken along with the rest o fus and then wanted to see it through."

She would close her eyes at Bobby, "I saw how damaged I was and how much I damaged others."
Bobby Drake "I get that. But if she hadn't carved that one in half..." Bobby shakes his head. "You're right. I shouldn't be angry at her, either. It's just the situation..." He closes his eyes for a moment. "It's maddening."

He opens them to look at Emma as she closes hers. "Yes. Well. I will say, you are doing a fine job of coming back from that."
Emma Frost Emma Frost would shake her head, "no, you have right to be frustrated given the consequences as they hit you. But if you're going to put blame on anyone for it, put it upon me, not her."
Bobby Drake A roll of his eyes. "You just told me _not_ to blame you, Emma." Bobby tries to bring up that Bobby Drake grin. It gets there halfway. "Anyway. There's nothing anyone can do about it, so..."
Emma Frost Emma Frost would shake her head, "If you're feeling frustrated over the situation, lash out at me. I 'm the one that brought her here. She is fautless in the matter. You have reason to be upset."
Bobby Drake "What good would it do to lash out at you?" asks Bobby. "It won't heal me, and let me use my powers properly." A wrinkle of a grin over his face. "But it might me laugh a bit."

A few snowflakes start to fall around Emma's head.
Emma Frost Emma Frost would smirk, "Then you have a fair middle ground, Robert. And I might suggest if you're looking for some inner reflection, to speak wtih Jean on some meditation."
Bobby Drake "That..." Bobby considers that for a moment. "That might not be a bad idea. Thanks, Emma." He smiles towards her. "Hey, I guess I could do it, after all?" He turns and heads out of the library, whistling softly to himself.

And then Emma realizes that her feet are surrounded by a solid block of ice.
Emma Frost Emma Frost would just glare over at Robert, "These heels were -expensive-, Robert. And on this I have grounds to request that Miss Grey take it from your personal accounts to replace." Her tone is lighter. If Bobby feels like this is making him feel better, she an accept it.
Bobby Drake There is a wave of his hand from Bobby as he continues out of his library. But the Bobby Drake grin is back.

If she was at all paying attention with her powers, Emma would know that it did, in fact, make him feel better. Much better.
