Emiko Queen	It's been a hectic few weeks! Finals are coming up, Bart's had to take on extra shifts, Emi got wrapped up in that Wonderland business.. they haven't been able to spend as much time together lately as they might like. So when her studying is done and his job has calmed down, Emi has offered swing by his apartment with a veritable feast of takeout from the local Chinese place. She shows up right around dinner time, knocking on the door before she enters to giv him warning that she's incoming. "Hey Bart! I think I got all your favorites... they even made up a Peking duck for us!" Heading towards the kitchen, Emi pauses to kiss his cheek, wherever he is!
Bart Allen	Bart Allen smiles and has just finished feeding and giving the animals some attention, so as she kisses his cheek, he will hug her back, and says "Let me help." He moves to take the food if she lets him and set it up in the kitchen. "How is the best girl friend in the world doing?" He smiles at her, and looks down realizing he is in PJs still he zips and is back in jeans and a t-shirt.
Emiko Queen	Chuckling when he runs off to get dressed, Emi turns a smile towards him, "Aw, I liked the pj's, they were cute." Winking, she starts pulling out boxes and portioning out food. Piling up a plate for him, she hands it over with a smile, "Good! And how's the best boyfriend? Doing okay still after all those extra shifts?"
Bart Allen	Bart Allen nods and moves in to kiss her cheek, and yea he brushed his teeth while he changed. He grins at her and says "Not to bad, looks like I have gotten a bit of favor in the zoo, doing the extra shifts, and got to talk to a few of the vets I don't normally see, who might be interested once we start the more exotic animal part of the shelter.
Emiko Queen	Emiko slips an arm around his waist and gives a small squeeze before grinning, "Is that so? That's awesome! I'm hoping we can open before the first snow of the year... I've been trying to push on the contractors to get things done without cutting corners. We've promised bonuses and told them we'll cover any additional labor and supply costs."
Bart Allen	Bart Allen nods, a bit and says "I can help build stuff if you want, but stuff that has to set, aint something I can help with much." He admits. He will look over to the couch and says "Couch or table"" He asks to see where she wants to eat at. "How did you do on your english paper?"
Emiko Queen	"Mmmm, lets do table to eat, then we can cuddle up on the couch after." Emi smiles at him and carries her plate over to the table, setting it down. Taking her seat, she chuckles, "Well I'm trying to let the professionals handle it for now, they need the work and I want to make sure everything exceeds the state code requirements so we don't have to worry about them coming in after the fact to tell us we have to upgrade before we get to open." Emi smiles at him, "Besides, I'd rather have some extra time with you. I was actually wondering if you wanted to come over to my place on Saturday?"
Bart Allen	Bart Allen smiles and sit down opposite of her, after pondering beside her to be close or opposite so he can see her better, figuring opposite works better for talking. "Yea I should be able to make it nothing planned." He offers and hmms a bit as she does not mention the paper, but does not press it.
Emiko Queen	Pausing mid-bite, Emiko blinks, then chuckles, "Oh, and I got a 95 on the English paper." She smiles, "Thank you for helping me study." Taking a few more bites, she glances at him and lifts a brow, "How about your classes? Are you ready for finals?"
Bart Allen	Bart Allen smiles and says "Yea, most of the stuff is just stuff I have to remember where it is in the book, and I could quote them the answers. The hands on finals that will be coming up next year should be more of a challenge. " He is munching away and adds. "I am going to get credit for a summer class, from working at the zoo."
Emiko Queen	Emiko flashes a grin towards him and gives a nod, "Fair enough. I do envy you that memory of yours." She eats up a bit more of her food while he talks, smiling across at him. The last bit has her lifting a brow, "Oh you're going for full year long classes? Hmm, I'll have to make sure to plan some fun things for breaks and after classes then."
Bart Allen	Bart Allen looks over and says "Yes, and know, the zoo is work study, and the other classes, I am taking are all online. Stuff, I can do in just a few minutes, and not have to sit in class, and wait for things to get to where I can answer a question or such
Emiko Queen	Chuckling, Emiko gives a nod, "Ahh, I gotcha. I'm doing a few credit hours towards my social services part of the degree over summer. Nothing heavy, two, maybe three courses. All bookwork, all online. So no lectures and the notes are in the book so studying for it will be easy."
Bart Allen	Bart Allen nods and reaches over to softly squeeze her hand, and says "Look at us being all responsible, and trying to improve ourselves.
Emiko Queen	Emiko grins and returns the squeeze of his hand, "I know, right? Functional adults with healthy relationships... crazy. But... it's good. I'm glad to have friends, and to have a boyfriend, it's... kind of a buffer between the superhero stuff and normal life."
Bart Allen	Bart Allen nods and says "And it is nice to be able to share both sides of things with someone, not just the college stuff or the hero stuff, but being able to be open and tell anything to you is great.
Emiko Queen	"Exactly. It's nice to not have to... lie. Or hide things." Emiko smiles at him, finishing up her plate. She didn't take too much, most of the food is for Bart really. Rising up to take care of her plate, she pauses and looks to Bart, "I'd... like to meet Joan, if that's okay? Sometime, anyways. I'd like to see if I can learn to cook some of the things she makes for you guys."
Bart Allen	Bart Allen smiles and says "I am sure Joan and Jay would both like to meet you. Maybe we could do Sunday dinner with them sometime, so you can meet them, and get to know them a bit. Jay may grill ya a bit but Joan will keep him in check.
Emiko Queen	Emiko beams a smile and gives a nod, "I'd like that!" She goes to rinse her plate off and set it aside, then steps back out to go sit with him again, "I don't mind getting the third degree. How honest do you want me to be with them? My background is pretty... bleak."
Bart Allen	Bart Allen looks to her and will finish his food, and wash his dish in a second, and back beside her. "As much as your comfortable with. Jay has seen a lot, Joan, while not seen as much has been around and seen things more from the sidelines." He sits beside her "You can tell them all, or just tell them what you want and tell them there is part you not sure they would want to hear, or just skip over it or what not.
Emiko Queen	Emiko leans in against him and nods, then looks up at him, "There's things about my past that you don't know, Bart. I want you to know first. So... maybe in a day or two we could sit down and I'll tell you everything? I just.. want a little time to put all my thoughts together."
Bart Allen	Bart Allen nods his head and says "When ever your ready just let me know." He does lead her to the couch, where they can cuddle up and watch a movie, so she does not have to think about such things right now.
