Johnny Blaze *VROOM!*

Motorcycles were revving and engines were purring and wheels were burning at the annual Harley Davis motorcycle competition. It wa sjust as much a competition as it was a place for motorcycle enthusiasts to gather and examine each other's wares and the steel horses they ride. One such ride belonged to Johnny Blaze.

A Yamaha VMAX, heavily modified, was being worked on by Blaze, who had a toolkit on his person. Looks like he's trying to improve handling by making adjustments to how tight the wheels are applied. He's wearing his biker leathers, indulging in his favorite pasttime.

He's singing a song to himself. Old Town Road.
Nico Minoru

Nico's getting used to the engines revving, the constant near roar of the crowd's conversations... because, well, there's a certain level of 'roar' needed to talk when you're trying to speak over the revving engines.

And while she's dressed up for /some/ function of Goth style, it's a little more modern than her usual 'Victorian waif fell through a portal' look. She's rocking a cropped black leather jacket over fishnet and tanktop, not showing off anything scandalous, or really even all /that/ enticing. But fishnet's a classic for looking like bad news.

She's on break from... well, okay, she can admit it, she's getting a paycheck to stand around and look good.

So on her break, she's taking some time off from the standing around. But with the pleated skirt hanging down a little less than halfway to her knees, and the wedge-heeled leather boots with gleaming chrome buckles? Well, she's not going to stop some level of 'looking good' on break.

And then that wandering is interrupted as she eyes a particular bike, and a particular figure... there's a brief moment where Nico expects to see flames for some reason... and then it clicks. And she goes from 'listless wandering' to 'casual sauntering before she blows out a sharp whistle, "Heyyy! That bike's on /fire/!" She throws as much cheesy overacting into that last word as she can and flashes a broad, dumb, 'I'm totally just messing with you' grin. ...After all, Johnny's probably not here because there's some secret Death Cult of motorcycle enthusiasts... oh god... what if there is? Does she cause cults?!
Johnny Blaze Johnny can't tell if he's being cat-called or complimented. Both have happened by complimenting the bike, though Johnny turns his head to see who did the complimenting and he notices Nico Minoru. Been awhile since he's seen her and she looks like she's in good health. He gives her a smile and beckons her over with a wrench. For all intents and purposes, Johnny seemed happy for the company.

From his appearance, he looked relaxed. Maybe it was just confidence that he hunts demons and cultists every single damn night. Maybe he's just here to look at bikes and get inspiration for what to do with his own motorcycle. He mentioned trying to heavily increase the speed last time he and Nico spoke.

but he smirks all the same. He continues tightening bolts here and loosening things there. Make pressure his best friend.
Nico Minoru Nico offers a lopsided grin, strolling up to the bike, eyes drifting over it appreciatively... maybe not /knowledgably/ so, but it's still a fine machine, arms crossing under her chest, hands clasping opposing elbows as she hums out, "So, how's it going? Keeping out of trouble?" She frowns thoughtfully, teeth worrying her lower lip. It's not exactly easy to be like 'So did you get caught up in all that angel ridiculousness?'. And, well, Nico made it a point to avoid the city during it.

Listen, when your parents run a death cult and you anger /their/ gods, going up against the footsoldiers of God god seems like a bad idea. She frowns thoughtfully, eyes sweeping the bike again... hey, just because she's an amateur doesn't mean she can't /try/ to learn.
Johnny Blaze "I've been managing to keep out of trouble enough. I was involved in that business with the Host of Heaven not too long ago...I'm glad that chapter in my life is finally over." He looks at Nico with a smirk. "What about you? Surviving and managing?" Johnny asks of Nico with a raise of a brow. But he's happy that Nico is alive and well. He was concerned that she might have gotten wounded or hurt...or worse, killed during the attack.

"I'm doing okay though. I'm healthy and alive. Can't ask for much more than that." He looks at his bike. "So did you bring one of your own or are you ogling at the other bikes?"
Nico Minoru Eyes roll as Nico snorts and grins, "Oh, I've been keeping on... ran into a weird..." She frowns thoughtfully, "I dunno what it was. You know, big weird spooky thing from who knows where in a park a few weeks ago. Doctor Strange and... uhhh... the blonde Russian gal with a big sword showed up." She rolls her eyes and heaves out a sigh, "Swear, I'm gonna start charging so I can stop taking these goddamn side gigs so I can pay my phone bill."

She laughs and shakes her head quickly, "Oh! I'm just sightseeing on break. I'm working the show, well, you know, I'm getting paid to stand around one of the booths and look good while folks ogle the bikes. Beats doing another shift of delivery app stuff... that's _really_ a crappy job without a car. Did the math? No way it's profitable to use teleportation magic... I mean, maybe Zatanna, 'cause she hasn't got limited spells... but like, she's also /famous/."
