Ted Kord Ted Kord looks over a tablet. A Stark tablet if you must know. They're good. "Okay guys... best behavior. I dunno why you're suddenly shy but I..." He looks up and realizes the platforms that were recently occupied are now empty. Ionic lift units make for very quiet bots. In effect they have a built in stealth mode. "Oh FFS... where the hell did they go? They were charging... Bobo! Bingo! Bailey! 4,5,6,7,8,9! Get moving... where did they go? Why did they go?" He starts tapping the tablet.

"Aiiiigh! One of the Leaguers who doesn't make me nervous is coming and the bots I want to show her are missing! Were they stolen!!!"
Joan Wright Joan, who miraculously has not been called in to tend to some weekend catostrophic damage, finds herself with some free time. And with free time, she finds herself at Ted's penthouse. The Damage Control employee is in her casual attire, black cargo pants, a purple short sleeved tee, and white tennis shoes. The architect's short, brown hair has been tucked behind her ears.

Since Ted seemed a little distracted, Joan had shifted over to a sofa and started reading. But, hearing Ted's cries, she lowers a book and glances around. Huh. So the bots HAVE disappeared. Huh.

Closing the book, she sets it down on the sofa before getting up and walking towards one of the back rooms to have a look.
Diana Prince Diana had gotten contacted by Ted Kord's people, and set up an appointment. She was arriving now. Dressed in casual attire of a light denim jacket of red color, a white top beneath it, black denim jeans and some heeled shoes, the Princess has her hair tied back behind her head, and a pair of black rimmed glasses on with basic lenses in the frames.

She's escorted to where Ted has his robots ready to be seen, the Princess making casual conversation with the person escorting her. When she arrives, she smiles toward Ted, and offers a wave of her hand before approaching, and then offering it for a shake. "Hello again." She says in her thickly accented English. Her eyes scan about then. "Seems that you have quite a nice setup here, of sorts, Mister Kord." The tall woman says, her heels carrying her a couple inches over six feet in height.
Ted Kord Ted Kord smiles. He is wearing his uniform, goggles and all. "Oh please, you have to call me Ted, Princess Diana. No one calls me Mr. Kord. I'm not formal. There's a slight hold up with the advanced models. My girlfriend is getting them. If you'll have a seat, I prepared a video showing their applications. These are line models. Physically they are identical. The advanced models just have high end processors. They're developing -true artificial intelligence. The line models should be easier to handle, but they need supervision." Ted cues the video for Diana and then tries to bring n his wayward bots.

He texts to them <<Report to the living room please?>>

<<??? :(>>

<<Report to the goddam living room!>> <<??g-d- lr? Lr? o.o>>

Let us not record Ted's next exchange. He's upset. On the video the line models demonstrate their strengths, flying speed and built in tools.
Joan Wright After checking a guest room, Joan ends up in the room that's managed to become a LEGO room over time. The statue the bots created of her stands in there and several bins of unused LEGOs are set off to the side. At first, and arguably quick glance, Joan didn't see anything but there was the slightest of movements which caused for her to step in further.

Making her way behind the statue, she found the bots taking advantage of the unintended blindspots of the room. She steps over, crouching near them, giving a gentle tone, "What are you doing here guys? Ted needs you in the living room." She gestures towards the door she just came through. "Come on."
Diana Prince Of course, Diana gives the man a warm smile at his name correction. "Then you simply must refer to me as Diana alone." She fires back with a noticeable grin taking over the smile.

As the man tries to round up his robots again, Diana just nods her head softly once before she scans her eyes around the penthouse level. She looks back to him then when he seems to be having trouble. Her dark eyebrows raise up some before she looks around more exaggeratedly. "Is this common?" She asks then of the Blue Beetle as she once more returns her eyes to him.

"Perhaps they are suffering from a bit of stage fright?" She inquires then, that grin returning then to the Princess' dark hued crimson lips.
Ted Kord Ted Kord regains some of his usual aplomb. Whatever that is. "Well the advanced models... they're like children. I'm not precisely sure how my programming resulted in AI. I knew I was onto something when B.O.B. 01 started handing me parts to finish building him. I had two others become self aware since then -they're inquisitive, helpful and sometimes I forget they aren't human and do not see things the way we do. I hate to do this... I don't program them anymore. They learn. It helps with the socializing... I rather they listen to me and not just follow programming blindly but -Direct Order: All bots report to me ASAP!"
Joan Wright Hearing the direct order, Joan glances to the open doorway, brows rising. The hint of movement to the side of her line of sight causes for her to note the bots complying. Joan starts to shifts to her feet, but feeling a couple manipulators she finds herself being carried along by a couple of them.

"GUYS, I CAN WALK!" Joan protests.

Oh they better not be doing the weight thing.

There's a bit of shifting and now she finds herself sitting on one of the bots like a flying hover chair. "Okay then...I guess we're doing this."

And so Joan is carried into the living room with a less than regal expression on her face. Joan looks over to Ted giving a confused look.
Diana Prince "Oh really?" Diana quietly asks as Ted speaks those words to her. "Well then, It sounds like they are very advanced, but may need time to decide what it is that they wish to do with their time." She notes then moments before Joan is brought in to the room on the throne of the robot. This has Diana tilting her head again, before she shows a smile to the display.

"Hello." Diana says then to all of them as they come through the open doorway. "I take it that you are the girlfriend." Diana says directly to Joan with the glimmer of a little grin showing.

"And hello to the rest of you as well." She notes as she roams her eyes over the robots in-question.
Ted Kord Ted Kord gets Joan off number 5. "This is Joan Wright, my girlfriend. She's been helping me with the bots. All right, you mutineers... what has you spooked?"

The smallest and most colorful bot points at Diana and then the JL emblem Ted set out. "Ok... what's wrong with the Justice League? You've met people from the League before." The little one flies over to a portrait of the team and points very accusatory manipulators at J'Onn and Power Girl. Then mimes punching. The larger bots drop when she pretends to hit them with her claws or her laser pointer.

"Oh... yeah... J'Onn and Power Girl came to investigate them. They heard they were self replicating. They were concerned. I guess they scared them more than I thought. They're hot clocking their survival programs. Oh center stage is Bailey. She's the only female so far and their expert on human things."
Joan Wright Hearing Diana's voice, Joan turns her head to the source. Eyes widening. "Oh hi!" She greets. Glancing down to the bot holding her in place. "That'd b-"

She stops as Ted answers for her, causing for her to look over to Ted. "I guess I didn't get up quickly enough when you put in that order." Joan hypothesizes to Ted as the bots come to a stop. The manipulator that was acting as a seatbelt of sorts lets go, allowing for her to finally get off. "Ah Thank you."

She adjusts her footing to make sure she's not going to fall flat on her face. She looks over towards Ted as he points to the portraits. "...What exactly did they say around the bots?" Joan asks, voice betraying a bit of concern. She feels a nudge as she realizes one of the bots is still stan-floating behind her.
Diana Prince Diana's eyes do shoot over to the picture as well. She smiles faintly to this before she looks between Ted, and Joan. "Power Girl... I imagine she was difficult to impress with robots. She is very business oriented." The Princess notes before she takes a step to the right to get a better look at all the robots.

"I am impressed. I mean, I knwo that you are a capable builder, Ted. But still, this is quite a feat." She states while approaching one of the bots.

A smile is given to the female one. "It is nice to get to meet you, all of you." She says to them. "We might be interested in helping them learn, if they would enjoy it. Both at the Hall of Justice, or on the Watchtower upon the surface of the Moon." She adds as she glances back to Joan and Ted. "I hope the both of you have been well of late too."
Ted Kord Ted Kord ponders a bit. "Thank you. Well it was more their attitudes. Or maybe my attitude and response. Power Girl said she was keeping an eye out but had better things to punch for now and... they got between me and two incredibly powerful aliens. I mean they brought up a gray goo scenario, I told them about Amazo and Ultron and how people were scared. They assumed the worst. Smart bots."

As Ted speaks, Bailey floats towards Diana observing carefully. The smile gets Diana points, as does her Joan like soothing voice. In fact Bailey swivels to observe Joan and compare body language. Then the large bot nudges her towards Diana.
Joan Wright Joan frowns as Diana mentions the business oriented description. "That sounds like code for 'She was probably mean'." The architect says with a frown. While Joan may be professional for things dealing with Damage Control, politics is not necessarily her forte. She looks over to Bobo. Reaching a hand over to pat him as chances are he was one of the ones that was present for that.

She glances back to Ted at the punch comment. "FOR NOW?" She repeats, "She said that? Well no wonder the bots were hiding." She steps forward at the bot's nudging, a glance goes over towards Bailey while accepting the temporary role of Botty guard.
Diana Prince Diana's eyes are on the robot Bailey as it draws closer toward her. She looks from it toward Ted. "Grey Goo. That is... related to Nano robots, is it not?" She inquires then before she shows a smile toward Joan. "I certainly am intrigued by artificial intelligence. I have come to meet many different versions of it, of late. We even had one such young woman come to our island to spend time amongst my people. She is a remarkable person."

Her eyes go then toward Ted. "Though, admittedly, I am not sure you would want them to function as servants at the Starport project. It seems as though these young lives could benefit from something more mentally rewarding."
Ted Kord Ted Kord holds his hands out and his bots surround him much like courtiers attending a king. "Oh the line models are easily occupied by starport duties. I might lend these occasionally to trouble shoot and order them around. I wanted to show you these because... I'm kind of proud of them. They're my masterwork... they're... family. I'm bringing them along and letting them learn. I think what happened with the other AIs was that they were just turned on, self aware and then had their wills warped. I'm taking a more natural approach. I'm sure they'll make me even prouder." He taps Bailey on her top and gives a signal and she streaks off.
Diana Prince Diana's eyes return to the robots as Ted speaks to them. She watches their reactions with another soft smile before she looks back to their creator.

"So there are models that are not ... actively living intelligence?" She inquires to make sure. "Well. I see no reason that you cannot have these as a functional part of the Starport facility once we are fully ready for such things."

She looks between Joan and Ted then. "And yes, having the ability to create a life form through means deemed artificial? It is no small feat. It is the type of creation that many engineers have only dreamed of for ages gone by now."

"Again, we would enjoy having such technology on the Watchtower too. There are many projects there that they could likely benefit from too, and vice versa."
Ted Kord Ted Kord is about to comment when Bailey returns. Obviously she didn't have to go far. Behind her are three similar bots. these are painted in a base coat of gold and have black stripes, like bees.

"I wouldn't ignore my branding for just anyone. These three are a gift for you and your family. I heard Amazons were fond of bees... I do work with insect themes." The three bots on the Bee List fall into a line in front of Diana.

"Give them instructions for something. They're waiting." An unseen signal and the bits cross their arms where you'd expect wrists to be.
Diana Prince Diana laces her fingers together in front of her lap just moments before the Bee-styled Bots arrive. She shoots a look over to Ted, then back to the robots with a smile showing again on her red lips. "Oh. I see. Well that is very generous of you, Ted..." She notes as she steps to the side, whilst eyeing the bots.

"Hello. I am Diana Prince. I would like to see the three of you form up in to a triangle and then slowly spin in a circle." She asks of them in a polite manner.
Joan Wright Joan watches as the little beebots start to zoot over to Diana, forming the triangle around the Amazon. As they start to rotate, they give the impression of a hula hoop.

No longer feeling the nudge of the bot behind her, she glances over to see that they're now near Ted save for the bees doing their dance. Quietly and calmly she steps over to stand with Ted and the denoted family. She gives a smile.
Ted Kord Ted Kord seems calmer and more focussed than is JLI days. As the bees circle Diana, Bailey flies above them to extend a manipulator to Diana, almost shyly. Hey, she reminds her of Joan. One of the bot's fingers extends to point at Diana's bracelet. She has metal? Another point!

"I think you're making a friend. Now if you play Lego's with them you're in."
Diana Prince The Princess watches the three Bee-bots begin to acknowledge her request. She smiles as they start a circle around her, even doing a 360-degree turn to follow them once. Her eyes then go up and over to Ted, and Joan. She smiles.

Bailey's approach has Diana reaching out then to offer a shake to the offered robotic arm. She does have her bracers on under the open cuffs of her denim jacket, the glint of metal peaking out. She smiles at this.

"A very sturdy metal. As I am sure you are made from too." She tells the bot.

Her eyes go back to Ted then. "I think we can make these work at the Port." She tells the man. "Thank you both for showing them off..."
