Damian Wayne     The weather has finally started to consistently turn for the better and tonight is just cool enough to be comfortable. There's a slight breeze that makes the weather perfect for Saturday night socializing. And Metropolis is packed with people who are barhopping and people watching and otherwise swiping left and right.

Damian is out on patrol because, well, he's a lonely little shit who wears his mask like armor to his soul and prefers empty rooftops to conversation. One doesn't live the life he's lived and come through unscathed. But it became clear that other Titans were out as well, and chatter on the comms started to build.

<Looks quiet near Market Square. I'm going to head over toward...>

Through Damian's comm the sound of what can only be engines is heard following by people yelling in distress.

<What the hell? You guys aren't going to believe this. There must be a dozen...check that, thirteen ATVs moving through the crowds here and the riders are grabbing purses and valuables as they go.>
Sarah Rainmaker Sarah Rainmaker has been looping around to clear her head. Given the last time she went out and she had to be carried back in to the Towers suffering from lung clots she probably shouldn't be out. But she needs to clear her head. And she's been flying at this point, so she's really not as vulnerable. Or so she would say.
the T-Comm chiming, and it would relay her position and then an intercept course. <<Ah.. I can be en route and arrive in about five minutes. Do you require backup?>> Being polite. She didn't know Damian particularly well, so it seemed appropriate to ask if he wanted her to show up before she did.
Kian     "Oh, for--!" Kian begins, and then just breaks off.  This is the sort of life he's signed himself up for, and having the call of duty interrupt a perfectly pleasant flight with Terry is, alas, the cost of being a Titan.
He banks off sharply in the direction of the report.  "Would you radio them that we're on our way, /tenar'h/?  I think you don't want me letting go of you."
It's up to the chaos cat whether the travel time is shortened by Rabbit Holes, but that's probably not out of the question.
Terry O'Neil "No worries, I wasn't planning to get dropped anytime soon," Vorpal grins and taps his comm.

<<Vorpal and Kian on the way. ATVs... every threepenny goon just has to have a gimmick, eh? Robin, give me the nearest cross-street there's heading towards and Birb and I can head them off through a Rabbit Hole ahead of them, and the rest of you can come in from behind or the flanks. Sounds good?>>
Wally West Wally is eating some big belly burger while he listens to the comms go off. "hey yall got this or do i need to rush over? I'm in the middle of something. but I can be there in a second if you need me"
Damian Wayne     <Well there are thirteen of these things. I actually don't have anything better to do tonight than run them all down, but for the sake of the people these guys are terrorizing maybe we can show them a bit of Titan Teamwork?>

Fully dressed in his Robin costume, Damian tugs a compressed gas launcher from his utility belt and fires a grappling hook. It sinks into the side of a building and Robin leaps off the roof he's on, swinging down directly toward one of the ATV riders who just literally punched a young lady in the face and grabbed her backpack.

<It looks like these guys are trying to exit Market Square north on 18th Street.>

With a grunt, Robin kicks the rider off the ATV, then lets go of the monofilament cable and rolls once and comes up to his feet. The rider gets back up and faces Robin. The kid is 5'8" and thin as a board. He doesn't exactly cut an imposing figure. "You wanna punch someone, punch me," Robin says with a growl in his throat.

The dismounted ATV rider gets a cocky smirk on his face and lunges at Robin. There is...a whirl of movement. The youngest-ever Master Assassin and ninja from the League of Assassins bursts into motion that is difficult for the eye to follow. A moment later, the man is unconscious and bound to a lamp post with some monofilament cable.

"Dick," Damian murmurs as he turns to find a new target.

    <There are twelve left.>
Sarah Rainmaker Permission was given after being requested. The Titans do seem rather informal, as far as Sarah's minimal experience has been, but it's better to err on the side of formality. At least from what little she'd grasped, accurate or not, Damien seemed more the type to 'do it himself'. So best to at least ensure that there wouldn't be any..
She's flying on in now, going up high by a solid fifteen to twenty meters so she's out of range of things. "I'll try and block them off for the rest of you." Sarah Rainmaker would go to raise up her hands, taking water from the air.. From the ground.. From the mud.. From the slush.. From the sewers.. Lifting it up and over to try and make a quickly ice block along one end of the street. The type that the ATV's could definitely slam over and through if they revved up, but hopefully a solid foot thick of ice going up a meter or so would mean they would just peel away and u-turn if it worked.
Kian     North it is, then, to cut off their escape.  Kian's accustomed to Terry punching holes in reality, so suddenly appearing over 18th and Market Square is not anything weird anymore.
"I have those two in the lead," he says, swooping past them to the next two.  "You've got these, right?"
Without waiting for an answer, Kian lets Vorpal go, fully trusting the cat to Rabbit Hole himself into position, and arcs back towards the lead two ATVs.
The really nice thing about vehicles is that if you mess with the alternator, they just *stop*.  Which is what he does, glowing very slightly blue -- like he usually does when exerting his powers.  He touches down a good six or seven meters ahead of them.  "Please throw down your stolen items, and any weapons you might have.  The electric shock you will receive if you don't will not please you /or/ me."
Kian: the most completely reasonable superhero ever.
Wally West Wally is happily nomming on some burgers and humming a tune. Paying attention to the comms for updates. "guys everybody good. does anyone want anything from big belly burger while i'm here?"
Terry O'Neil Vorpal flies through the air with the greatest of ease-- no, actually, he just drops like everything else does when released. However, for someone like him, that's not really too much of an issue. A Rabbit Hole opens up, allowing him to drop on top of one of the ATVs as soon as Kian releases him without all of that 'attaining terminal velocity' bit that makes things so messy.

"Why, hello there!" he says cheerfully, seemingly precariously balanced on the front of the vehicle- precariously, that is, if he were someone other than the cat. "Looks like we're going for a ride, aren't we?" he says, and suddenly the ATV, the Cheshire and its drivers are falling into the vacuum as a Rabbit Hole opens up in front of the vehicle and drops it several hundred feet above the skyline.

"Ain't it /glorious/, boys?" the Cheshire says, squatting down and holding on to the handlebars the moment that gravity asserts itself and they all start dropping.

Which is, incidentally, the moment the driver and companion start screaming.

"Everbody's a critic," Vorpal says, tsk tsking as the twinkling lights start getting closer.
Damian Wayne     Robin fires another grappling hook and pulls himself up to a nearby rooftop from which he can get a bird's eye view of the situation.

<It looks like Sarah's ice has taken care of some of the escaping ATVs. They've turned around and headed back into the square. Kian has disabled some as well. And Vorp is...well, he's just playing with his food at this point. Flash, two of the ATVs have broken away and are now heading east on Elm. Also, do they have curly fries tonight over there?>

With a sudden leap, Robin drops off the three-story rooftop he's on, allows himself to fall for a second or two, then fires a grappling hook into a building. (How many of these grappling hook holes are around this city, anyway?) He drops onto the back of one of the ATVs that returned to the square after being turned back by Sarah's ice. The rider panics and looks to see who's behind him on the vehicle now. It's Robin. "Sweet dreams, ugly," he says as he drives an elbow into the side of the man's head, knocking him out cold. Robin then takes control of the ATV and spins around 540 degrees, performing a complete circle, and ending up facing the opposite way he started. He guns the throttle and heads after another ATV.
Sarah Rainmaker With an annoyed <<Most of us have eyes, you don't need to tell us what is going on>> comment coming from the T-Comm from Sarah Rainmaker, she goes to snark over at Damian. Now she's working with some winds to try and contain any fires or other debris that might come up. Her trying to focus on damage control if need be on standby to hopefully contain the worst of things, if anything was at risk.
Kian     "Absent any unexpected stupidity, I have two here stopped," Kian radios in.  Any weapons and stolen goods they have been intelligent enough to drop crackle with electricity like a Tesla coil, so that they'll back off and Kian can collect them safely.
Depositing the collected goodies on a rooftop, the birdman shoots skywards -- deliberately passing by Terry's plummeting victims and offering no help there.  "South, east or west?  I'm not sure how many more there are," he asks over comms.  "I'm not sure where I'm needed most."
Terry O'Neil <<These guys /are/ noisy.... I think I'm done with them>> Vorpal relays over the incessant screams. Another Rabbit Hole opens up, and then another and another, each one aiming to alter the trajectory of the ATV and its passengers into an upward ascent, until momentum has stopped completely and they are, for an instant, suspended in midair, up in the sky-

And then a Rabbit Hole opens right below them, to dump the vehicle onto a stretch of green. The two drivers get off and kiss the earth in hysterics, and don't seem to do much when Vorpal handcuffs them hand to foot while they're still on the ground.

One man's hand to the other man's foot, and vice versa. The only way they're escaping is if they somehow have circus training and can roll away by creating a human tank track.

<<I've got two here, tagging on the comm system to notify the cops. Do we have pings on the others?"
Wally West "ok so curly fries. anyone else want something?" Wally moves back into the line for more food.

"Yes I would like 30 big belly burgers, half of them with cheese half of them not. 5 large fries 5 large cirly fries, and about a dozen large cokes." Wally pays with the justice leauge card.

"east on elm." Wally says as he goggle maps this to try to get a sense of where he's gonna go. "ah ok."

"mr Flash your order is ready" Wally takes the several heaping bags of food and is off.

When flash arrives bags off food just appear around damian and there is a large cury fries carton in his hand.

Wally catches up to the fleeing atv, and in a blurr he goes around on doing the screws that hold the wheels on the come to a sudden stop as the wheels fall off. "stop youre under arrest." The flash says in a snarky tone. With another blurr these last 2 are zip tied at the wrist and ankles. "Ok someone call the cops we got the bad guys for them"
Damian Wayne     Robin just sits there on the powered-down ATV munching on fresh curly fries. "Sometimes I just love my job," he murmurs to himself.

<It's called overwatch, Sarah,> Robin explains over the comm system. <I don't have the mobility of some of you super types, so sometimes my best tactical play is to provide data to cut down on fog of war.>

"Damn these fries are good," he says aloud.
