Owner Pose
Arthur Curry     The East River is often peaceful in the evening and tonight does not buck the trend. For the sky had been clear all day, barely a hint of a cloud drifting past. Though as the sun descended a hint of chill settled in with the same ease as the dark, no twinkle of stars above for the distant light all but forgotten by the grand city of Manhattan.
Normally the streets and parks were clear for the most part this time of the evening. Yet a small crowd had gathered. A celebration of sorts. To some it was an International Festival. To others a Folk Festival. The difference? More acoustic guitar in the latter, more food in the former. Yet there was enough of both as the people moved about the myriad food trucks and displays. It wasn't largely populated, but fairly so.
And it was here that a frantic call had directed Dinah Lance to it.
A call from an acquaintance she had made some weeks back during an encounter in Gotham and likely she wouldn't recognize the number. Though the voice? The voice was clearly that of the young Atlantean Vorn.
"Dinahlance! Dinahlance!" Her name clearly all one word, "It is Rini, Dinahlance! She has become very upset!"
Which only served to herald the troubles the night would bring.
Heather Danielson     One might ask why there is a Titan in Brooklyn. Others might ask the even more important question.. why not? But the truth of the matter is relatively simple. Heather was in New York for a charity modeling gig. I mean sure, she makes money from lots of other things. So why not give back? She was literally doing a DARE promotion. At the age of 19 and a recent graduate of high school... she has become something of a reluctant role model for a lot of young women out there.

But afterwards, she decided to go for a walk. I mean... sure, she's a Titan, and a young woman in New York walking alone near the docks. Some may ask if she is stupid or crazy. Others understand that she enjoys the adrenaline from time to time. What none of them really know is that she really wanted to get some of that food the festival is known for. People get so jealous of her ability to eat and eat and eat and burn off the calories just by existing. The fact that she actually does work out a lot adds to the caloric intake she needs.

So there she is, in the middle of this festival with a basket of chili cheese fries (her third) in hand, grazing from it as she enjoys herself.

Just as she throws the empty basket into a trash bin, she belches like some football fan beergut Dad... and covers her mouth in embarrassment, "Excuse me." She says.
Dinah Lance Dinah was on her bike, roaring through the city streets. She was dressed casually in a pair of jeans and a black t-shirt with the Rolling Stones logo on the front. Over that was a black leather jacket, lightweight. Black boots on her feet. She had a little comm device in her ear, hooked up to her phone so she'd be able to hear it despite the roar of the motorcycle. At the beep, she pulled the bike over to the shoulder and cut the engine, reaching into her pocket to push the answer button.

That was not a voice she had expected. "Vorn?" The surprise was in her voice. She'd only met the young man once. It had been quite the situation. One she didn't care to repeat. And she honestly had never expected to hear from him again after the talking-to he'd received due to his antics that night. Their antics really, as Rini had been involved. "Where are you first? I'm going to head to you. And what is going on?"

She pulled out the phone and put in a few commands. A moment later, it was all channeled to the earpiece which would also filter out the sound of the bike. The Justice League had some good toys. She usually only used them for JL business but considering Vorn and Rini's history, she had a bad feeling about this.

She fired up the bike and turned toward the docks since that was her first guess for location. Although it sounded like lots of people around. There was a festival tonight by the river. Water access. Perhaps? She pushed the speed on the bike higher.
Arthur Curry     It's as she throws the basket into the trash might be the first moment that Heather would notice something untoward. Oh at a glance it seems a nice normal evening with some of the fair-goers walking along the paths of the park on the edge of the river. A few are seated on the benches looking out to he sea. But there is a ripple in the water that seems to be growing, cutting a series of waves that roil and grow stronger as whatever is under the river seems to be picking up speed.
Dinah is listening to the hurried words of Vorn, a young Atlantean she had met some small time ago and who was speaking rapidly to her over the phone. At first frazzled and hurried, "It's Rini, her cousin got hurt and then there was a big mess and she's started to spend time with Oronen. They want to get even!" But then there's a sudden crackle and a jostle of the phone as another voice is heard shouting, "The hell are you doing? That's my phon---!"
The line goes dead even as Dinah's roaring down the road, but time enough to get the location keyed in from the league systems. Extremely quickly because the site of the call is very near.
Though not near enough to stop it as a sleek black and green vehicle surfaces in the water. A crystalline canopy sliding back abruptly allowing four figures in golden armor to /leap/ out in a thirty foot high arc, landing heavily in the park with a series of metallic thuds.
Heather Danielson     Okay, Heather is no aquatic or nautical expert. But it doesn't take a ton of education or experience to know that rivers don't normally churn like that. I mean not unless there is a high power turbine doing something it ain't supposed to do. And if that's the case, this is still not supposed to be happening.

Her eyes narrow as Heather tries to focus in the distance. That is when the vehicle shows up, "Well I am guessing that's not Captain Nemo and the Nautilus there." she mutters as she sighs and starts literally stalking towards the riverbank. Just as armored goons... and the fact that they came out of the water doesn't revoke their 'goon' status. It just makes them watery goons. At least in Heather's mind.

"Hey!" she calls out, "Hold on there a sec!" She adds as she starts strutting towards them. She's only like a dozen feet from where they land, and she seems a bit forceful and upset. I mean, for a skinny nineteen year old who looks about as intimidating as a chihuahua to most people. Right up until she starts taking action.
Dinah Lance "Shit." Immediately she was pushing the throttle even further, the roar of the engine growing.

She gave the command for her phone to dial one Arthur Curry. Which did no good whatsoever since it went straight to voicemail. "Hey. Need you to the Festival on the East River in Brooklyn if you are available. Vorn called. Said Rini is upset cause her cousin got hurt. She's hanging out with Orenon. Wanting revenge. Phone got cut off. I'll be there in a few seconds but thought you would want in since you know the kids." Since really, Vorn and Rini were kids. Oronen was a new name for her. She disconnected the call then turned that final corner and roared up to the Festival. Thankfully her wig was already in place as she'd intended to do some patrolling later. Everything else would just have to do.

She could see a ship and armored people. People starting to scatter. Great. She abandoned the bike since it would be problematic getting through the people. Instead, she quickly ran foward even as a young woman was approaching the armored beings. Dinah was scanning for sign of Vorn as well.
Arthur Curry     The voices that come out of the golden suits reverberate electronically as the four figures advance, though not in any particular military precision. Instead they stomp forward with a clear anger in their body language, and short sharp snarls of, << Get out of the way! >>
    << You don't deserve this! >>
One upends a garbage can and shakes it on the ground before throwing the plastic bin to the side, << Leave this here where it belongs, you disgusting creatures! >>
Angry words, angry tones, and their armored forms intimidating to the people who are suddenly scrambling to get away, retreating with quick steps. A couple pick up their dog to hurry away while one of the figures stomps on the seat of a bench and cracks the wooden slats in twain.
The figure that Heather addresses seems to ignore her until she presents herself more directly which is when the face of a young woman behind the greenish glass face-mask of the armor snarls, << Get out of the way surfacer, you'll get some of your grime on me! >>
    Clearly displeased.
Dinah got a good eyeball of them all as she approached, rushing quickly in. But it was hard to tell one from the other. One was slightly taller then the others, but their suits were very similar. She was able to recognize the armored forms of the Atlanteans. But putting names to those suits? Impossible.
Until, perhaps, she overheard Rini's modulated voice as she yelled at the chihuahua-esque Heather in that moment.
Heather Danielson     "Okay, look. I am going to give you the benefit of the doubt here." starts Heather as she plants hands on hips. "You need to.." And she looks over at the armored goon dumping the garbage can out, "Seriously? You came all this way to pour trash on the ground? Wow.. Now that's petty." she mutters.

Then she swivels her eyes like turrets towards the woman to whom she was originally speaking. She lifts a hand and points a finger at the woman's chest. "You have an issue with us surfacers, I suggest you have your people take it up with the UN and the established government. You should know that the whole... walking out of the water and making threats in public.. has -never- gone well for anyone."

Then she looks down at her street clothes and gives an unamused little chuckle before looking back up, "Okay, so I'm not in uniform. I can see why you might not think I have any room to speak.... but let me tell you. I am with the Titans. I can show you my ID if you want. That, or I can kick your backside back into the drink there. So before this gets ugly, why don't you prove to me that your brain cell isn't lonely, and do this the right way... the diplomatic way?"

Yeah. Heather wants a fight here, but she's not going to start the fight. If it starts, she figures she'll finish it, but the first punch is not going to come from her. Nope.
Dinah Lance Her arrival was in time to hear Heather doing her best to negotiate. Maybe not the most subtle approach but Dinah could understand being a blunt instrument instead of a scalpel. Just ask anyone that knew her well.

She approached, taking up a spot off to the left side of Heather. Feet planted, scanning the armored figures.

"Rini!" When she finally heard that modulated voice that was at least familiar. The damn armor was such a pain when trying to pick out a person but thankfully she'd heard that voice in their last meeting. "What is going on here?" Despite not having her costume on, hopefully the Atlantean would be able to put two and two together from her appearance and voice as well. "I thought you and Vorn were settled good after your last surface visit." A hint of who she was given to the Atlantean woman.
Arthur Curry     In response to Heather's words, even as she suggests diplomatic options, Rini rounds on her and apparently turns the volume up on the speakers that convey her resonant voice as it blasts out, << NAMOR WAS RIGHT! >>
Which is when one of the others lifts an arm and a laser beam /zorches/ across the distance serving as some form of connector/conductor for a ball of plasma that leaps down the line of light connecting between the two and /WHOOSH!/
The bench and its broken wooden bits burst into flame as an abrupt bonfire ignites which causes some of the others to laugh and applaud, their laughter sounding weirdly robotic with the audio manipulation.
<< Should have drowned all of you on the coasts! Go back inland where you belong, get away from the water you bastards! >> Two of the others move over toward the nearest food truck. Alphonso's Greek Cuisine, which might be where Heather got those yummy fries. Each of them start rocking the van back and forth heavily while Alphonso leaps out the back of it as he shouts, "What are you doing! Stop! This is my livelihood!"
More angry words seemed in the offing for Heather in that moment, though suddenly there was another blonde standing up to the armored figure, this one apparently knowing the name of the one in the suit.
<< You know what's going on! Insurrection! Defiance! War! >>
The larger figure stomps up to stand beside Rini's armor while in the background the other two Atlanteans continue to try and topple the food truck while other people flee. The new voice is heard angry and masculine, << Don't listen to them Rinidiara. The surfacers all speak with forked tongues. Look how they lie and lie and celebrate while they lie. >>
Heather Danielson     Plasma blast... laser... attacking a FOOD TRUCK?! Heather is seeing red now. You don't attack a food truck in her town... okay so it's not her town. DETAILS!

Her eyes turn from the truck being attacked... her body tense as hell.. back towards the Atlantean woman speaking. The moment the word 'WAR' comes from those speakers, Heather mutters, "Challenge Accepted." As she lashes out with a jab that is basically a set-up for a mighty uppercut. Now... nobody thinks she has it in her until they get hit. She's not as strong as Namor, no.. but she has Spider-Man's ten tons of lifting weight. Okay so her most recent deadlift was rated at eleven point five tons. What? She is trying to get stronger.

She is hoping to cut off any further words by slamming the armored girl with all of her prodigious strength. Perhaps drawing the ire of the other soldiers onto her instead of that poor food truck operator.
Dinah Lance While she doesn't say it this time, the word 'shit' goes through Dinah's brain as things go from bad to worse in an instant. The two figures are attacking the food truck. The one she is guessing is the boss is running off at the mouth about war and she makes the mental jump this to who it is. Bringing up Namor already had her wincing. Him running off about lying surfacers just made that wince visible in her expression.

"Let me guess. You're Orenon?" She looked over the armor, not seeing anything that was visibly exploited to her advantage. "I'm the Black Canary. Rini knows me." Which is sort of true since Rini was in an armored car that was destroyed by Dinah on the Atlantean's last visit to the surface.

And with that, she turned her head in the direction of the two Atlanteans at the food truck. A breath of air drawn in. Concentrating her voice to the figures and not putting her full power into it. She didn't want to damage the truck if she could avoid it.

And then Dinah screamed...
Arthur Curry     Though the Atlanteans had raced across many lines, transgressing against the surfacers as they wished to, it wasn't until Heather /smacks/ a good one into the side of Rini's helmet that matters become 'real' for them. For indeed, all the other ocean-people look on and over with incredulity when the younger blonde punches Rini hard. Hard enough to send her flying back and landing heavy with a /thud/ and a _crackle_ as some of the crystalline glass of the visor spider-webs in the corner as its structural integrity is compromised...
There's silence then for just a brief second.
Only for it to be shattered by the shrrriek of the Black Canary, that cry hurtling toward those two menacing the food truck. And suddenly s the cry reverberates around them they /slam/ their armored gauntlets to the sides of their helmets as if that would stop the shrieking. Yet now their arms are off the truck and it /slams/ back down on its four wheels, no longer looking like it's about to tip over.
Heather Danielson     So yeah. One of the basic rules of engagement that Heather knows right now is.. when you are on the attack, -press- the attack. So she takes a step, turning it into a few trotting steps that end with her performing a textbook soccer kick to the prone Rina. She's trying to launch the Atlantean back into the water. That, and put some damage on the armor. It's a full force kick that actually digs her supporting foot's heel back into the dirt a bit. She kicks so hard in fact, that every bone in her foot breaks... briefly, healed by the time she gets it back onto the ground.

"Now. Go home!" she yells as she kicks. But afterwards, she turns to regard Dinah and adds, "Man, if I could yell like -that-.. wow.".. she's grinning at that. Odds are she is done attacking with impunity. Once that underestimation factor wears off... most folks don't like getting kicked around by a teenage girl.
Dinah Lance Once the truck was back on it's wheels, Dinah turned her attention back to the ringleader. Just in time to see poor Rini getting the business end of a kick from the blonde. She had no idea who this Titan was, though she had caught the mention of being a member of that team when she arrived. Obviously some form of strength but she wasn't sure what else.

For now, she needed to focus on the ringleader.

"Orenon, have your people stand down." It was a reasonable request. She just wasn't sure this was a reasonable person she was speaking to. "I understand you may have issues with those of us on the land. But this is not the way to handle things. It is always better to try and deal with things through peaceful means. But, as you can see, we will protect ourselves when forced to do so."

Still she was standing her ground, all 5'5" of her. Not seeming intidated in the least by the large armored figure in front of her. "I understand something has happened? With Rini's cousin? Please tell me how we can help." She was trying that diplomacy thing. She just wasn't sure this guy was one who would ever listen.
Arthur Curry     The armored Atlantean girl is slamming a gauntlet into the ground as she rights herself, scowling inside her liquid cocoon even as that crystalline visor crackles a little more. She has just enough time to see Heather /rushing/ in with that kick as she plants and slams in for that impact.
And Heather does get that impact, though it's striking hard ino the metal gauntlet of the armor as she at least cushions the kick partially, her own boots digging into the ground and digging twin furrows as she's knocked back some twelve feet by the force of the impact. Perhaps not exactly the result Heather was looking for...
But the savagery and escalation of it serves to bring things to a new level as Orenon brings his own gauntlet up and takes aim with it, the laser in the fist lancing out even as the plasma caster charges.
Those other two who had been menacing the food truck suddenly ignite some form of thrusters in their boots as they leap into the air!
And both seeking to come crashing down somewhere around Dinah and Heather.
Heather Danielson     Okay. Now it's time for the real fight to begin. Heather drops back into a fighting pose, a stance to get ready for the fight to begin for real. As others come charging in her way.. she smiles a bit. Then the plasma blast charges up. She hears it and turns her head that way. Just in time to lift an arm to shield her face. The plasma blasts pretty much all the flesh and muscle off of her arm... burning it down to the bone, along with much of her left side.

When the flash fades away, the light no longer blinding... much of the muscle has restored itself, flesh growing back before the eyes of the attackers. As everyone stares, she mutters through gritted teeth, "Ow..." And then she launches herself at one of the other goons, grabbing at his arm and attempting a textbook judo throw to slam him into his partner... The good thing for Heather is that under her street clothes she has that bright blue uniform that is far less vulnerable to plasma damage than her clothes were... so she's not showing off indecent amounts of flesh to the world here.
Dinah Lance "Good talk," mutters Dinah as all hell breaks loose again. Orenon gets off that blast then Dinah is stepping in, bringing up her arms to try and force that arm upwards. So that it would no longer be firing at people at least. Though out of the corner of her eye she caught that Heather was recovering at an impressive rate. Other humans that might be in the area wouldn't be so lucky.

If the armor was powered, it would be a futile attempt. If it was Atlantean powered by the muscles of the person within, she might be able to mess up his aim for a moment but honestly? He was going to still be far stronger than her.

She immediately ducked around behind, looking for any vulnerable tubing that she might take advantage of. No such luck. Damn Atlanteans knew that would be a stupid way to create armor for on land. Where were the dumb criminals when she needed one?

But she did have on advantage which was her cry. She ducked under the arm of the man then jumped up into the air, bringing her legs around his shoulders then flinging her body back, in an attempt to topple him. Even as she called out to Heather. "They can't breathe in the air! Crack the armor and they will be forced to go back into the water!"

Even as she prepared to let loose a cry aimed for the helmet of Orenon's armor.
Arthur Curry     For his part, apparently Orenon is not pulling any punches as the plasma blast sizzles the air he just steps back and holds that fist up with the weapon /cha-chakking/ as it chambers another round.
Yet any follow up shot he might be about to fire is blocked when Dinah darts in and /shoves/ the arm up and out of the firing line. The other two suits land with a heavy /THUD!/ and /KAWHAM!/. One of them stomping forward to throw a punch straight at Heather...
Almost as if he was stepping right through the movements needed in a picture study of how to do a Judo throw. His arm comes up, and forward, and then suddenly he's in the air, flipping and crashing into the other one with a resonant KRUMPF! of impact.
One hit the ground, the other staggered back its heavy boots stomping and thumping as it tried to regain its balance... only for a hurtling Black canary to land on the shoulders of it and then twisting cleanly to /slam/ that armored opponent into the ground all while around them the people of the festival start to rush away.
Yet it was in that moment that Orenon brought the plasma-caster back up into line with Dinah as she readied that cry when another heavy geyser of water exploded fro the river with a loud /KERSPLASH!/
A great gout of water falling in a pattering of rain even as out of that fount from the river a golden trident /slices/ out and slams hard into the planted boot of Orenon's armor, impaling the foot into the ground with a resonant _SHING!_ as metal slices metal and Orenon's metallic modulated voice /screeeeams/. Only in the next moment for Arthur Curry to land heavily in that gold and green chainmail armor, his booted feet leaving heavy cracks in the sidewalk where he lands as he yells, "What the absolute fuck!?"
While Orenon continues to scream in the background.
Heather Danielson     Flesh restored now, Heather was -about- to turn and deal with Captain Plasma-for-brains when Arthur arrived. But she nods faintly towards Dinah and turns back towards Rina. "Okay then. The actual fuck of it is these fuckers said they wanted war with the surface. Since -they- said it, I figured... Donkey Kong. Like, it's on like..."

That said, she wades in towards Rina and begins using some of her more advanced training... some classic boxing moves.. jab, jab, jab... bob and weave... right jab, left cross.. right uppercut. She's trying to do what Dinah suggested... aiming for the cracked visor to ruin their life support system.

"Bitch. You can go back to the water any time you want. You can't win here..." Yeah. She's read the briefs. She recognizes Aquaman. "Take a look." She says, gesturing his way.. but that's another feint, leading to a left right one two punch.
Dinah Lance With the arrival and the follow up screaming by Orenon, Dinah got to her feet and eyed the fallen figures. Which probably wouldn't be down for long. Though her next attack was going to be toward the leader of the Atlanteans.

Not Aquaman. The other one. That was screaming. A lot. A trident through the foot would do that to a person.

"Good to see you," she said to Aquaman, waving a hand to the people around them. Then when Heather went in for another attack, she called out, "Stand down. Unless they decide to start up again now that Aquaman is here."

She remained near the two fallen ones though, to keep herself in a position to move in case they opted to continue resisting. "Orenon here seems to want war with the surface. I tried to find out the details of why but couldn't really. Outside one thing they said." And here she paused cause really, she didn't want to go there. But Arthur deserved to know. She took a deep breath then just spit it out.

"They said Namor was right."
Arthur Curry     For all the bulk of the armor Rini apparently has some training as she matches with Heather with a few open-handed blocks trying to almost swat those punches out of the way while keeping a fist back ready to clock Heather when the chance opens...
But that quick engagement is interrupted as Arthur gets in the way, holding up a hand in the direction of Heather as well as Rini as he says, "Hold up. Hold it. Hold on."
While Orenon can still be heard wailing in the background, though a little quieter now as his suit's auto-modulator tempers for the volume.
Yet Rini's blood is up and she yells, << You are the one who is the bitch. Dirty surfacer cow! >>
Which gets Arthur to point, "Hey! Chill with that shit." He looks around, while the other two armored Atlanteans seem to no longer be struggling so much, more looking at each other as one sort of points at Orenon, then the other shrugs. They do move a bit to get out of Dinah's general area though in case she does more screaming.
<< You can't tell me what to do, Orin! You're not king! You're a coward! >> Rini's anger roils as she yells back at the Atlantean half-breed, but to be fair she's not trying too hard to get at Heather. Though she's keeping an eye on her clearly.
Arthur does listen to Dinah, however, and he scowls. "Orenon is seventeen." He rounds on Rini and says, "He is an idiot. Just like the rest of you! Who gave you the gear?"
Which is when Rini falls silent.
Heather Danielson     Narrowing her eyes, Heather smirks a bit. "Hey. Um.." she points at Rini.. then points near her own eyes, "You got a little schmooze on your visor there. I can help you get rid of it if you want." she says, basically implying the visor is cracking more. Then she gives a sickeningly sweet smile before looking at Aquaman, "Okay. Your people." she says as she lifts her hands, opening them from the fists they had been held in.

"However, when foreigners come onto American soil and declare words like.. war.. it never ends well."

She takes a step back, then another.. and then turns to approach Dinah as she peels off the remains of her civilian clothing. I mean come on, it was halfway vaporized anyway, "I caught some of your moves. I don't suppose you take on students, do you? I can pay."
Dinah Lance "Well then Orenon and all the rest of them needs to be grounded. Take away their Switch and PS5. Whatever you do down in Atlantis," Dinah mutters since she honestly has no idea what the kids there do for fun. Maybe this is what they consider fun? Would explain a lot about her recent weeks.

"Between the car theft and now this. Though Vorn doesn't seem to be involved in this one." Yet, she hadn't seen him yet since her arrival. She didn't think he was one of the pair who had attacked the food truck and now were shifting away from her while trying not to look like they were doing so. That little side shuffle. Not as effective in the armor with the thudding sounds when they took a step.

"Armor and a submersible. Or are those just allowed to be used by anyone, shared property?" Since that was the excuse they used for why the stole the truck. Well Rini and Vorn. Orenon was a new one. Though he seemed to still be whining over there.

At Heather's question, she held up a hand. "I do but let's get this dealt with first. I can come by the Titans Tower soon and we can figure things out."
Arthur Curry     Poor Rini at first touches her fingers where Heather gestures, but then thrusts her fist downwards as if she was crushing the woman in front of her in her fist! None too pleased she gets a /clonk/ on the side of her helmet as Arthur snares her attention. "Hey. I'm talking to you."
He then reaches back and with a casual cruelty _pulls_ the trident out of the cement and Orenon's boot with a crackling motion then thumps the butt of the haft to the ground looking terribly displeased as he stands there with that wild hair and those severe features.
Rini murmurs, << You don't have any authority here. >> Perhaps meant for Heather and Arthur, for some reason pointedly ignoring Dinah.
Which spurs Arthur to snap, "Only authority I need is breaking this foot off in your ass. Now get your dumb-ass friends together, get in the ship, I'm taking you back. But you've broken the law here, you're accountable." He turns to Dinah and Heather.
"You two responded, the surface authority on the scene. Shall I put extradition efforts into motion? Looks like they damaged property here. Endangered people." Sounding so very officious...
While the other two gather up the fallen third and start to move back to the ship. Arthur nods to Dinah, "The armor is their family property, the ship is not. They'll be dealing with that when we get back."
Heather Danielson     Nodding to Dinah, Heather turns to look back to Arthur and Rini. "Oh.. she's still here. I almost forgot she was here." she says towards Rini. A momentary thought, and Heather shrugs, "One time pass. If you come back up here and hurt one more ... surfacer cow? Is that the word you used? I am curious.. do you have cows under the water? Otherwise, how would you know what a cow is?" She pauses, snaps her fingers and smiles, "I know how! You just look in a mirror!"

And then she adds, "You harm one more surfacer and you won't need to wait for King Trident here to break a foot off in your ass, I'll beat you down with your own helmet while you drown on the air." Another wide smile, and Heather turns to start walking away. "But as I said, I don't want to push proceedings -this- time."
Dinah Lance Picking up on what Arthur was throwing down, Dinah gave a bit of a nod even as Heather voiced her feelings on the situation. Seemed she wasn't worried about extradition. But Dinah played along with things.

"I will speak with the owners of the damaged property." Probably the city for the bench and table. Maybe a rental company that was hired for the amenities? Then there was the food truck owner. Not that she was going to do either. Because she was pretty sure that they weren't going to try to press charges against riled up teens from another country. "If they want to press charges. Or if they might accept an apology. Go ahead and start the process on our end just in case though. I'll do the same."
Arthur Curry     "Alright," Arthur says in Dinah's direction as he continues to treat this as official proceedings and official responses to be handled officially. Even as Rini's rage seems to be percolating so strongly that one could imagine bubbles from the water in her encounter suit boiling with anger. "You get everything gathered here, then I'll take it to the Court of Atlantis. We may have to strip her of her title and place in the nobility, but that's what she risked when she came up here."
Which... is when Rini's voice is heard again but much more petulant, << Cousin Orin, no! >>
"Cousin Orin, yes!" Arthur snaps back. "Seriously, you think I want to deal with this picking up after you?" Then there's exasperation in Arthur's tone as he points, "Just... get in the ship. I can't even look at you now. Get in the ship." As he holds up a hand for her to talk to.
Which causes a /stamp/ of a metal boot and then _finally_ Rini turns and marches toward the submersible...
Though near the edge of the park she stops and yells back, << It's not fair, they hurt Mila! It's their faul--- >>
"Hey!" Arthur shouts and then just points...
Which finally has Rini and her friends retreating onto the ship and for now fading from view. Though the vessel remains floating there.
Which is only when Arthur can finally heave a breath and growls low as he murmurs, "Fuck's sake. I was never that stupid when I was a kid." Which... might not be entirely true.
