Owner Pose
Rebecca Ryker     The swim meet is over, and Rebecca came in third this time. Her father will be furious with her, but she did try her best. Her teammates barely speak to her anyway, so it doesn't matter to -them- what place she comes in. "Why bother at all?" she mumbles to herself, looking around the waiting area for her father. He always picks her up afterward, unless it's a driver.
She knows better than to get impatient. Father is a busy man, spending his time running the...things that he runs. Her mind shies away from acknowledging some of the things she's seen, focusing upon the good work.
"Miss, your ride is here," a man says. He looks wrong. The suit is right, but her normal drivers don't have tattoos on their knuckles. So she opens her mouth to scream, as he reaches for her.

A moment later she's being dragged into a vehicle, kicking her captor whenever she can. His hand is over her mouth; the screaming at least has stopped. But when she's thrown into the back, the car starts off.
Many people see it. 911 is called. It won't be in time.
Hellboy     Hellboy walks out of a random door of what MUST be a historic building, even for Gotham. Hanging from his belt is what he'd come for, a brass lantern glowing softly with green light, almost like a grass-colored glowstick, though the pattern inside swirls like smoke. He pulls his huge and nebulous coat around it to hide it from view, an unlit cigar between his teeth as he contemplates the perpetually gloomy Gotham City around him. He pulls the cigar from his mouth as she witnesses the kidnapping taking place.
"Hey!" he barks, breaking into a sprint. Yeah, this wasn't part of his mission, but damn if he was just going to let her get grabbed!
Rebecca Ryker     The car swerves to avoid a pedestrian, the driver not yet seeing that there is more important issues at hand. "Sit on her if you gotta," he says as he turns the wheel. "Your dad gonna stop doin' what he's HOLY SHIT!"
You can always tell the moment when someone spots Hellboy. It's when the cuss words come out. Becca, in the back seat, is no longer fighting. She's terrified, and this isn't what she..she doesn't...there's no context for this in her mind. She's just scared, and nothing makes sense.
As the car tries to avoid Hellboy, it comes close. Close enough to grab, though these American cars are made of plastic so getting a hold may end up with things going a bit sideways.
    Perhaps literally.
Hellboy     Diving for the vehicle, Hellboy grabs at one of the wheels with his Right Hand of Doom. He's seen several generations of cars come and go, he knows what weaklings modern cars are. Come at him in a '54 buick and you might get his attention...actually, that might happen for a number of reasons. Digging his feet in, Hellboy lifts the car's wheel. He pulls the car, then hoists the whole thing over his head, that one wheel at an angle as he broke the axle. Right Hand of Doom don't mess around. "Didn't anybody ever tell you no means no?" the demon says from beneath the sideways automobile.
Rebecca Ryker     The Plymouth (Chrysler, whatever, they're all the same) tries to keep going. The engine is making all kinds of noises, the driver's foot to the floor. It's really too bad that the vehicle is A: broken to crap and B: off the ground entirely. It's trying so hard.
Voices from inside come out, as the men in the vehicle start to react. Nothing particularly intelligible as yet, but at least they're distracted from further doing anything to the kidnapped young lady.
She finds that she has a moment, and could perhaps try to bite or break free. But instead she simply cries, wishing she were having a nightmare. Instead of this.
Hellboy     Hellboy tears the door off before balancing the frame before and after on his hands. He narrows his gaze at the bad men who may or may not have been planning to do bad things to the girl. They ready to fire shots at Hellboy. He tosses it just a little bit up and extends his hands upward, the fleshy one outstretched, the stony one in a fist. As the car falls, he socks the guys as Rebecca falls into his arm. The horn gets stuck. For the moment, the two are stuck together in the tight space. "You alright?" he asks her, quite gently.
Rebecca Ryker     The youth looks like she's about to scream, actually. All the car-moving and self-falling and kidnapping has made her a bit loopy, and then to find herself face to face with a demon is basically a moment she'd no way to process.
The car smashes to the ground, bouncing in a fashion that suggests frame damage and a powerful need for a tow truck. But the sound makes the girl cry out, and she grabs ahold of Hellboy's top with her small hands and shakes. All over.
Not all right, no. Not yet anyway.
Hellboy     Hellboy pushes the back seat, his back against the ceiling. He raises his knee when he's able...which is changing because he's actually pushing the two halves of the car apart. He pushes off with his foot until the roof falls behind him and the rest of the car in front of him. He gently wraps his arms around Rebecca and says, "I'll get you to the Gotham PD, okay? Don't worry. I won't let anyone else grab you."
Rebecca Ryker     She doesn't know what exactly to say. She opens her squinched eyes, daring to look at Hellboy, then makes a soft nod. Then she looks around, realizing that this great red guy isn't doing anything scary. Not to her, anyway. So she..gets down. Safe, secure.
"I'm Becca," she says, looking so tiny. She's not but Hellboy is a big boy, after all. She waits to see what he'll do. Names have power, after all.
But she doesn't run, what with this being the safest she's been in a while. Children can tell.
Hellboy     "Red," Hellboy says with a warm, gentle smile. "Nice to meet you," he says with a smile. He extends his left hand toward her for her to hold, rather than to shake. "Come on, Becca. Let's get you to the Gotham PD. I'll keep you safe until someone comes to take you home."
Rebecca Ryker     Looking past him to the remains of the car, Becca blinks at Red's statement. She blinks again, then says, "Yeah I bet." Then she looks up at him, takes his hand, and turns toward the...uh.
Dozens of people who are watching this unfold, taking video and pictures with their celphones, and the oncoming police cars, fire trucks, and ambulances.
"Dad's gonna be piiiissed," she says softly, so only Red can hear her.
Well, at least she can say it wasn't her fault.
Hellboy     Hellboy's used to having people pointing phones at him and gawking like he's a freak. He's also used to emergency vehicles all round him. His focus is on Becca. "My bosses are going to be mad at me, too," he confesses to her. Technically saving her wasn't part of his mission, and he was going to be costing them a lot of money. Still, no matter what they did to him, he would do it again if he had the opportunity.
Rebecca Ryker     "You only look scary, you know that?" Becca seems to have chilled out a little bit. What with Hellboy clearly being the one who stepped in when nobody else could. Kept her from being scared. Like a big red teddybear.
At the police station Rebecca's father comes to collect her. He looks professional, and worried. He looks at Hellboy, and he nods. "It will not happen again," he says. But is he talking to Red? To Becca? Or to himself..
