Owner Pose
Gabby Kinney There was so much to explore in this new place. So much to see. The beauty of the place, as well as being in the astral plane to begin with, was all a new and exciting experience for Gabby. She'd been to Limbo but this seemed a bit... Safer. In as much as anywhere with magic potential could be safe. The magic of Limbo was oh so volatile while here it just felt different. Somehow.

Then again Gabby couldn't claim to be the most magically sensitive person to begin with.

Either way she's been exploring the rooms, trailing her hand along the wall as she walks to feel the place as well as see it. Her eyes sweep around looking over the rather lavish surroundings with an easy grin in place. Somewhere new to explore was always fun. The sound of music coming from the player-less piano lures her closer to the Sitting Room with a quick pace. "Hello?"
Cael Becker     Cael was seating in the sitting room - a glass of something fizzy and non-alcoholic in her hands, and a massive white dog draped over her lap. Bear took his work very seriously - and his job was to keep his person calm, happy, and relaxed. While he does that, though, he gnaws idly at a bunny stuffed animal with a squeaker inside it, causing it to repeatedly make sound.
"Do you know how annoying that is, Bear?" she asks - getting a puzzled look with cocked ears in response.
"Fine. Find. Chew on your damned bunny - you mutt," she mutters - but there's something fond in her tone as she rubs at the dog's fur.
Her blonde hair has bright hues of purple, blue, and green dyed into the lower layers - visible sometimes when she moves. She also has a pair of tattoos - one across the back of each hand - both showing a single row of flames. She's dressed in jeans, a shirt that proudly declares the other lack of 'fox' she has to give, a leather jacket, and a pair of heavy boots.
Gabby Kinney Gabby Kinney crinkles her nose just a bit as the smell of dog hits her still-unfamiliar new senses. At least it was a clean dog and not a wet dog. She could only imagine how bad that would be right now. It does at least give her a heads up that there's some kind of animal in here as well as whomever is speaking. As she steps through the door to look around properly her gaze falls almost instantly on Cael and Bear.

A little squeak of excitement comes from her at the sight. "Awww puppy!" Okay not a puppy. But. Puppy. Clearing her throat to be a bit more serious she flashes a grin toward Cael. "Hi! I was just exploring a bit. Getting familiar with the place. Much as I can I guess. I don't think we've officially met yet. I'm Gabby!" A glance shifts from Cael to Bear, and back to Cael a few times as she stands there bouncing on the balls of her feet. Okay. Okay. Don't just ask to pet the dog.
Cael Becker     Cael's gaze turns to study the girl, curiosity on her features. "Cael," she supplies simply, rubbing one hand just behind Bear's head, as the pup lifts his head to study the exciteable girl. His tongue lolls out, and he wears an entirely cheerful, and affable expression on his canine features. He's also... big. Very big. Over 100 pounds of dog big.
"This is Bear," she adds simply. "He's not working right now," not officially, anyways, "So if you want to pet him, or throw his rope chew for him," she nods to a nearby toy, "feel free."
Gabby Kinney "Can I?!?" Gabby really didn't need to be told twice she could do something, because she makes a beeline for the rope chew toy to pluck it up and turn toward Bear again. Rather than jump right into things though she does offer her hand out to let him sniff if he wants berfore attempting to entertain him with toys. "Thanks! I love dogs. And most animals," she admits thinking on it.

It's then that she focuses just a bit more. "Cael? You're Jon's girlfriend, right? He mentioned you the other day." Without many details though she had overheard something about him worrying over her. "I'm Rien's little sister, by the way, promise I'm not just some random weirdo." Pause. "I'm a related weirdo." Grinning broadly again she can only offer up a shrug. "I'm going to try to help out around here when I can."
Cael Becker     Bear lets out a single, excited bark as he sees the girl go for his toy - and in an instant, he's off the couch and standing on his own four feet. He sniffs at the girl's hand, tail wagging as he waits for the toy to go flying.
"That's me," Cael confirms simply. "I hadn't realized Rien had a little sister. Or-" She frowns, thinking back to the memories she'd seen from Rien's life. "I didn't- I don't remember..." She sighs and shakes her head. "Doesn't matter. Welcome anyways. Rien was kind enough to loan me her skis last week - for a trip Jon and I took together."
Gabby Kinney "It's okay," Gabby is quick to reassure in regards to not knowing about her. "We're still new to each other. Our family is a bit scattered over time and I'm the youngest. I only recently met her," she explains with a grin even as she hoists up the toy for Bear to lob it over across the sitting room.

"I just thought I should explain why I'm here in general. I'm used to dealing with people that are a bit on the paranoid side." Most of her family, generally, though the occasional anti-hero sort was as well. "Oh, she did? That's cool! He mentioned you all went on a vacation together. Sounded nice. And he probably could use a break so I'm glad he got one."
Cael Becker     As soon as the toy is lobbed, Bear is after it in a flash, tail wagging excitedly, and massive paws thudding on thick blue carpet. He picks up the toy - then shakes it back in forth in his jaws before bringing it back. He goes first to Cael - but as she reaches out for the toy, he turns away from her to go to Gabby instead.
"You cade," Cael mutters good naturedly under her breath. Bear seems to delight in eschewing her in favor of others when playing catch - if it's at all an option.
"Yeah, he was dragging his heels some - but it was good for all of us. We had a great time." She smiles a bit wryly before adding, "I can be a bit paranoid myself but- to be here, someone would have had to of let you in. So..."
Gabby Kinney Gabby Kinney can't help but laugh when Bear bounds after the toy only to snub Cael in favor of her. "Ah I'm just the new shiny thing for the moment," she assures as she leans down to take hold of the tug toy with one hand. The other ruffles Bear right between the ears getting in a good scritch along with a cooing, "Good boooy," before she tries to tug it away to throw again.

"That's true. Anyway it was kind of good hearing about your relationship, no offense, it was just interesting to hear a new take on how things can go I mean. I've been doing a lot of thinking lately and he helped me work through some of it." A quick shake of her head has her glancing back toward Cael.

"I'm sorry I'm a bit hyper right now and I tend to babble a lot when I am. I promise I'm not always this ... childish." Was it childish? Possibly. Her hands spread in a shrug as she tips her head back to indicate the room in it's entirety. "This is just *so cool*."
Cael Becker     Bear drops the toy readily, and is back after it in moment, knocking over a little side table without a second glance at it in his lumbering pursuit of his prey. He snatches it up, going back to Gabby once more, where he drops the rope before crouching down, chest and forelegs to the ground, and butt with wagging tail in the air.
"Oh, he's a good, loyal dog. He's my service dog, actually. He relishes his time without his vest, though." She takes a sip of her sparkling water, watching Gabby play with the dog - her eyebrows going up slightly. "What did Jon say about us? About how it's me, him, and Martin? Or... something else?"
There's a faint smile on Cael's features before she adds quietly, "You shouldn't have to apologize for joy."
Gabby Kinney Gabby Kinney claps her hands down against her thighs as she practically goes down onto her knees herself, throwing her head low to mimic Bear's posture. Playtime! It was very much playtime! She'd clean up the mess of his knocked over stuff later. "Aww even working doggos need some down time!" Blowing out a puff of air she 'whoofs' before her hand snags out to grab the toy again. Bouncing back to her feet properly she bounds backwards hauling back for a long throw--Careful this time to aim for a more open spot.

"Yeah, he mentioned how you guys are all in a reltionship kinda. Sounds cozy. I've had some friends that were like that in the past just never thought about it much at the time. I dunno I guess it's nice to hear about things going good for people."
Cael Becker     Bear is off in a flash once more, letting out his own bark as he snatches up the toy. Then he pins it down with one paw, so he can pull, and chew, and maul it for a while, before bringing it back to Gabby. The rope is naturally growing increasingly wet with Bear-slobber.
"Ah, yeah, well... Not something I expected when I went and fell for a //married man.// I kinda figured... I mean... Jon's married to a //man.// I expected to be told to fuck off. So the whole relationship's been a surprise to me - but it's been- well. Definitely a good thing."
Gabby Kinney "You can't really help who you fall for. Even I know that," Gabby points out with a reassuring grin cast Cael's direction. While Bear is busy mauling the rope she steps over to pick up the end table that got knocked over during his last dash for the toy. It's set upright again, and she's careful not to touch more than she should otherwise. Just in case. Never knew when something magical or enchanted might bite from being touched.

"But when it works out, it's great!"
Cael Becker     "Yeah, that much has become clear," Cael confirms in a dry tone. "I still feel like I'm adjusting to it, though. There's a part of my brain that still expects... one of them to tell me to get out. But, it's not as bad since we all had our vacation together." She smiles a bit wryly as she adds, "I guess you could say I'm slow to trust." She takes another sip of the sparkling water, which is almost gone now.
Gabby Kinney Gabby Kinney reaches up to rub the back of her neck considering the topic she'd perhaps run around a bit much. For a moment she just nods not sure what else to say. "I hope things keep going good for you all then. Jon seems really happy lately. Which is good, we probably stressed him out a lot with the Outsiders stuff." Too many kidnappings and other events that had been ongoing.

She steps over to ruffle Bear's ears again a time or two. "It was nice meeting you Cael. I'm going to explore a bit more before heading back to finish up some work I've got waiting on me. Thanks for letting me play with Bear!"
Cael Becker     "We're mostly happy," Cael confirms a bit wryly. "Life can be... difficult, but it helps when you're-" She hesitates, a wistful, almost sad expression sliding in to place. "When you're not alone." She forces a smile back into place as she adds, "No one has to be alone. That's what I've learned. Enjoy the castle," she adds.
Bear crouches down again, tail wagging, waiting for Gabby to throw the toy again... and only when it becomes clear that she won't does he flump over onto his side, gnawing at his rope.
