Owner Pose
Xiomara Rojas Early evening, the sun was just getting ready to set, and Crush had finally finished seeing every room in the tower, or so she thought. Could the roof be called a room, or was it merely a place /on/ the tower a person could go? Either way, that was her final destination.

Wearing her usual aqua tank with red leather pants and black denim jacket with the sleeves cut off, she made her way out to the roof with a large bag in her hand. For those with superior sense of smell, the bag contained Chinese food, noodles, beef & brocolli, and fried rice.

Each step she took was careful, as if she expected the roof to collapse beneath her, until she found the best spot with a perfect view and sits herself down.
Kaida Connolly It's likely very rare for Xiomara to be surprised or not notice something. Combine size, cleanliness, and just general capacity for stealth with the smell of chinese food covering up any other scents, Kaida simply slips into places without being noticed naturally and in this case, she slips on to the roof. Her main reason? Well, her own sense of smell. She noticed chinese food heading up to the roof and slipped up the flight exit with all speed. Her ears appeared first followed by her nose and then her face as she peered up over the edge at the food bag.

A moment later, she's slipped across the roof with all the speed of a mouse that is nearly ten times faster than its counterparts. Just after Xiomara sits down, a tiny yet somehow projecting voice calls up from the otherside of the bag.

"Hey, you gonna eat all dat?" She asks with a hint of Irish accent as she peers at the food bag and looks up toward Xiomara.
Xiomara Rojas Surprise. The voice sounding so close to her results in Crush jumping slightly and looking around, but she doesn't look down. When you hear a voice, you tend to look around you, but she didn't see anyone.

Looking back to the bag she just set down beside her is when she notices a mouse standing there... she's seen that mouse. Both of her eyes go wide as saucers. She knew she wasn't drugged out of her skull this time, and yet there stood the hallucination she's had in the underground fighting location.

"Uhh...." she sort of breaths out, eyes still huge, her body leaning back slightly as if the mouse was actually scaring her.
Kaida Connolly Standing up straight at the reaction, Kaida blinks a few times as she stares at the large woman before tilting her head to the side and then looking at the bag and then back at Xio.

"Umm, is that a yes or a no? I'm usually pretty good at understanding people but I don't speak long drawn out noises." Kaida states and shakes her head as she idly places a hand on her hip. She looks around a moment before looking back up at Crush. A tiny hand waving at her.

"You ok?" She asks and tilts her head.
Xiomara Rojas "HOLY SHIT YOU TALK!" Crush nearly screams, scooting back a few feet with one powerful push of her legs. Only then does she seem to gain control of herself and just stare at the mouse.

"I swear, I thought you were a hallucination!" she now says a little excitedly, less surprised.

"Oh, the food," she points at the bag, then pulls out one of the containers of beef and brocolli. "Y...you can help yourself... wow, okay, now I've seen everything." A broad grin spreads across her face, but still she doesn't move back yet.
Kaida Connolly "Holy crap, you're right!" Kaida declares, hands in the air and then she casually leaps into the bag that she was just told to help herself, too. A moment later, the side the bag slices open and a box is pushed out of it casually. It appears she is after the sweet & sour chicken with rice. She pops the top and takes one of a pair of chop sticks, stabs a piece of chicken and consumes it faster than, well, one might normally. Honestly, three pieces of chicken vanish inside of five seconds, despite each piece easily being as big as her head.

"Thanks so much! Was getting super hungry!" She nods her head and the more Xio looks, the more she might realize that this mouse looks more like some kind of cartoon mouse than a real one.
Xiomara Rojas It is rare for Crush to be speechless. Yes she can be quiet, but there is usually some kind of inner monologue running, this time there is nothing... it's a void in her brain as she watches the talking cartoon mouse jump into the bag and get the sweet and sour chicken. How does one respond to that?

Blinking a few times she tries to shake it off, act like this is completely normal, talking mouse with a sword, but the expression on her face still reads 'holy shit, talking mouse with a sword' as plain as the nose there.

"Welcome," she finally mutters, shaking her head one more time. "Yooou got a name?" This was proving way harder than meeting any of the other Titans. The mouse was real.
Kyle Rayner     What's the best way to show up somewhere after you've been away for just over a year?

Kyle asked himself this question over and over and over, and is continuing to ask himself the same question as he dips down below the cloudline, both hands held forward in tight fists as he punches his way through the atmosphere. The young lantern figured coming in from above would give him a chance to get not only a bird's eye view on the place, but maybe see the state of things from afar as he slowly descends from above. A simple black and white t-shirt with a pair of straps cinched tight keeping his backpack on and a pair of blue jeans over a pair of bright colorful custom nikes.

Spying the tall girl on the roof that he doesn't recognize, Kyle swoops low, the wind pushing his hair back as if he was riding a motorcycle without a helmet and he doesn't quite realize he has a massive cows lick as he lands on the roof and lifts a hand, unaware Xiomara isn't alone. He only sees her staring intensly at some take out. "You, um, you okay?"
Kaida Connolly In the time it takes for Xiomara to get her bearings, Kaida has already downed about four more pieces of chicken and is taking on the rice. She listens to her speak and then she nods her head as she licks her fingers clean.

"Yep! Kaida!" She states and then finishes another chunk of rice before she blinks and looks over to the sky. She watches the incoming lantern and tilts her head. She stabs another piece of chicken out of the box and grins.

"Oh, a Green Lantern!" She chomps down the chicken in several bites, "What ya doin' here?" Yes, it is a mouse girl that is speaking up to him from beside a box of sweet and sour chicken.
Xiomara Rojas Truth? Crush didn't notice the incoming guy until he was right on top of her. All of her attention was on the mouse devouring chicken at a rate of four pieces per minute. That's math anyone could do, but the math isn't what was keeping her attention. That was completely and totally the six inch cartoon mouse.

When Kyle lands and speaks to her, her head jerks up to stare at him. Now she stands up, this was getting way too much, but there was still Chinese food to be consumed.

"I'm fine," she states way more firmly than she intended so she dials it in. "Just learning I wasn't hallucinating a sword wielding mouse." And then she points and looks back to Kaida.

"I'm Crush," she offers, this time not following the usual routine of offering her hand to shake. She could squish that mouse just looking at her wrong. "Odd, but nice ta meetcha."
Kyle Rayner     Kyle, wearing his backpack tight enough to cut off blood flow to his arms, reaches up to loosen the straps and he takes a deep breath as he gives a look at Xiomara, and then down to the motioned and speaking cartoonish mouse. "Oh. WHOA!" He says, bending his knees to sit on his ankles and get himself much lower to Kaida and Xio. Though he didn't hear Kaida's name, he heard XIo. "I'm Kyle." He says with a grin, a mask he wears briefly to cover his shyness and a deep breath as he feels the hardest part is done, but now to get into the nitty gritty. Conversation.

"W-Would you mind if I sketched you sometime?" Kyle asks bluntly towards Kaida.
Kaida Connolly A blink as she looks up at Xio before grinning, "Cool name!" She looks then over to Kyle and nods before she blinks again. She puts her hand to the hilt of her sword, resting it there casually as she stares at him before looking to the side and considering it a moment before looking then again to the ground before shrugging.

"Umm, I guess." She states and shrugs her shoulders as she looks up at Kyle, "Never had anyone ask me that before."
Koriand'r The festival of strange wasn't going to get any better really as a streak of green light crosses the sky, coming to touch down atop the roof revealing it's source in the rather revealingly dressed orange-skinned alien figure that was Koriand'r. Lifting her arms to stretch, she tilts her head lightly as she looks over the gathering atop the roof. "Hello...are we enjoying the skyline today or something?"
Xiomara Rojas Yep, it was going to be one of those nights alright. The appearance of the new person causes Crush to take one more step back, leaving the large bag of Chinese take out undefended. If Kori had been wearing normal clothing, the reaction might have been far worse, but given her attire it is just one step... and she stares at the woman. Not only is she beautiful, though that word isn't quite strong enough, she's also orange skinned and that makes her either a mutant or an alien.

Reaching up she rubs her face with her right hand, then runs her fingers through her short hair. "Just had to go exploring," she mutters more to herself. "What's on the roof, I wondered... this is..." she goes quiet with a breath sucked in to regain her calm.

"Kyle," she finally says, tearing her eyes off Kori to offer a nod. "Nice ta meetcha... I think, pretty sure... you a Titan?"

That is all the longer her eyes remain on him before going back to Kori. "I was uh..." she points at the bag, then the to-go container of sweet and sour chicken that Kaida has. "Plenty for everyone." Words were hard.
Kyle Rayner     "I'm, sorry. I don't aim to make anyone uncomfortable." Kyle says, standing back up and frowning, lifting his hand to scratch at the nape of his neck, the sweat starting to form there gives him a touch of anxiety, but he doesn't dwell on it long as a somewhat familiar face swings by. Not that he can say he knows her personally, but he doesn't want to put his foot in his mouth and answers Xio's and Kori's question both with one answer.

"Well, kinda, but figured I'd see if I could move back in after being away for so long?" The lantern notes and frowns, looking down at the take out and getting a whiff of it finally and looking up to Xio's face fully and getting an odd sense of her appearance, but doesn't broach the subject on account of not wanting to be an a-hole. "So I was, not sure if I still am after such an absence."
Kaida Connolly "Hi, Kori!" Kaida waves from beside the food box. She's been here a while, surely, but not long enough to remember ever meeting Kyle before. She looks over at Kyle with a tilt of her head before blinking one more time.

"I don't remember you, but then again I haven't been here this whole time. You must have been gone a VERY long time." She states and nods her head, "Well, I mean, I don't mind but I'm not in charge but then the person in charge is currently trying to be herself again and another one that might be in charge is not being himself either and..." She considers a moment.

"Ya know, I should really talk to them at some point about who is truly in charge because at this rate I'm gonna be the only one who knows who she really is."
Koriand'r Certainly Kori was a relatively well-known member of the Titans, even to the public. The whole 'Modelling day job' thing probably helped with some of the exposure. Still she bends down to Kaida, offering a little wave of her fingers and a smile. "It is good to see you are well Kaida," she offers before lifting her head, still leaning forward with her hands on her knees and giving a little 'Ah' of understanding to the indication of food and a smile. "I too like to eat up here and watch the sunset or sunrise some times," she muses lightly.

Kyle's comment? It earns a shrug and a light grin. "I'm sure there is still room in the male dormatories. It is a big space after all."
Xiomara Rojas Looking around to make sure that there is no one else about to descend on her, Crush takes slow breath in, then moves to sit back down by the bag. She can do this, it's just new faces, people who don't know her, oh yeah, and a talking cartoon mouse with a sword.

With a name to put to the face, she offers Kori a brief nod before starting to pull out the to-go containers, and she keeps pulling, five, six, seven different kinds of food, rice, noodles, fried rice, and finally a container of oolong tea with several small paper cups.

"Help yourselves," she offers more calmly spreading the containers out. "You didn't really make me uncomfortable, you surprised me and my gut reaction to that is to punch. Not supposed to punch."

Finally a small container of chop sticks and sauces, soy, duck, sweet and sour, is pulled out of the bag and then she moves that bag out of the way for now. "I'm not good with social graces," she then adds with a snort, and starts pouring tea into several of the cups so everyone can have one. She really wants to see Kaida pick up the cup and drink tea, but she's not going to say that. It would be the perfect distraction right now.
Kyle Rayner     Kyle takes another deep breath as people seem to be relaxing now, and he realizes he was holding his breath.

Not sure when he's ever going to get over interacting with new people. But that was what Ganthat said when he was chosen to wear the ring. A ring he has to look down at now and again to refocus himself and recall all those memories based around his life after he got the thing.

    Another breath. You are capable.

Kyle smiles towards Kori, the one face he knows he's worked with in the past, even if it was nearly two years ago and much time has passed since then. Then the two new faces, Kaida, and Crash. This is okay. This is safe. He is capable.

Sitting down after moving closer towards Xio, "Thank you, I didn't think about grabbing food on the way back, and it smells wonderful. You've got good taste." As he picks up a cup and looks to Kaida, curious how she'll drink, but assumes she can handle it as she's lived this long, right? Lastly his attention turns to see what Kori is doing with the offer.
Kaida Connolly Taking down another couple of pieces of chicken as people meet and greet, Kaida peers over at the tea being poured and smiles. She really didn't have a lot in the way of drink right now and that was important with the fact that her food needed to be washed down. She smiles to Kori's greeting before looking to the poured cup of tea.

"Thanks again for the food, Crush." She nods her head, "I love free food the best!" She nods and grins as she casually hefts the cup in both hands and leans it back to sip from the edge carefully before setting it back down. She didn't lift it like it were nothing but she's clearly stronger than her size would allow.
Koriand'r Not one to refuse an offer for food especially after the long day, Kori does indeed bend down to claim one of the containers of noodles lifting it to her hands and then retrieving a pair of chopsticks for herself. It had taken a little while at first when she'd arrived on-world to learn how to use the implements, but now she was a deft hand at it if only for all the food the Tamaranian princess was happy to fuel herself with. Taking that first mouthful the alien girl nods again to Xiomara before gesturing to herself.

"I do not know if I have been introduced, but I am Koriand'r of Tamaran, known here among the titans as Starfire."
Xiomara Rojas Well holy shit, that had to be the best thing Crush had ever seen in her life, and she had seen some shit. A cartoon mouse drinking from a cup. The grin that spread across her face made her red eyes almost sparkle with delight.

"Okay, that was worth it," she says quietly, then looks back up at Kyle.

"I don't really gotta eat, but I /love/ flavors, so I tend to buy too much. Good thing you three were around," she snerks, a play on the fact that the three of them freaked her out a little at first.

Now she turns her red eyes to Kori, "I'm Crush, pleased ta meetcha Koriand'r, and I mean that, a lot." Boy that sounded wrong, so she adds, "Because you're not from here, like me, I mean."
Kyle Rayner     "Impressive." Kyle notes towards Kaida, "I could try and find you a straw if that would be helpful too?" Kyle says, trying to be his friendly self, without realizing he might be stepping on toes or personalities.

Taking a paper cup and taking a sip while plucking a pair of chop sticks, Kyle helps himself to more rice than any protien, trying to be appreciative while also not taking the best parts, allowing everyone else to have their chances first. As it isn't his and that's how he likes to show he cares.

Something did stick out and he has to stick his curious neck out, "Don't have to eat?" He asks, looking to Xio with his chopsticks in his mouth after shovelling a rice clump in there.
Kaida Connolly "What?! How's that work and what was worth it?!" Kaida looks over at Xiomara and then over to Kyle with a blink before grinning, "I'm fine but a straw is what I usually use." She nods her head before she looks back to Xiomara and shakes her head. She eats another piece of chicken and then shakes her head again.

"Not having to eat makes almost no sense at all. I mean, you need fuel, right?" She asks and looks over at Starfire briefly then back to Xio, "I mean, I gotta eat upwards of five to ten pounds of food a day. Sometimes more if I'm super active!" She nods her head and looks over at the quickly emptying box of sweet and sour before glancing back to Xio.
Koriand'r "Mmmhmmpf!" is Kori's rather enthusiastic answer, the orange-skinned redhead still devouring her meal when Kaida's question comes before she swallows and her own green gaze meets Xiomara's red. "It is a pleasure," she offers lightly.

"And it is a wonderful planet. Humans are quite good company and the foods they have created are simply amazing. You should try the 'Mustard' that they have made here, it is truely magnificent!"
Xiomara Rojas Both of Crushes large shoulders lift in a shrug. "It's cause of what I am," she offers to Kaida. "Half Czarnian, they don't need food cause they're born with everything they need. I only gotta eat a little here and there, cause my mother wasn't Czarnian."

Picking up the beef and broccoli, she puts some over the noodles, then slides it over to Kyle. He was eating protein, whether he wanted to or not. Once she's looked at him, then the container, then him again, and back to the container, she picks up some chopsticks and takes a bite.

Once she's swallowed, she looks back to Kori. "I've never been anywhere but earth, but humans... they don't like me too much, usually," she snorts again, her expression going to aggressive in nature then back to calm, clearly she shoved the anger down. "Been an issue my whole life, and it's one of the reasons Ms. O'Connail brought me here to the Titans. I think she's trying to show me not everyone are asshats."
Kyle Rayner     "Th-thank you." Kyle says to Xio as he takes the offered protien and savors a long slow bite, letting the beef melt on his tongue. "That's delicious." The young man says and then towards Kori, "Hey, we've done more than mustard. Ketchup and ranch are great too." The lantern says with a sharp nod afterwards and then his bag starts to buzz. Loudly. "Oh... hold on." He says, and gives Kaida a thumbs up as he backs away from the group.

Food still in hand, he pulls out a phone from his bag and holds it to his ear. "Yes. Yes. Yes I made- Oh. Okay." The one sided conversation seems like it will take a while and so he walks idly unaware of where he is stepping until he steps off the building and just as quickly is soaring slowly through the air above the roof top. Lazily circling around on his phone.
Kaida Connolly Looking over at Kori, Kaida smiles before shaking her head and laughing, "Mustard is good on quite a few things but yeah, ranch is pretty awesome, too!" She nods her head to Kyle even as he goes off to take his phone call. She shrugs her shoulders before looking finally back to Crush and she downs another bite of food.

"I don't know why, you seem fine to me!" She nods her head before casually hopping up to her feet and downing the rest of her tea with several loud gulps and lets out a loud ah! Her stomach seems just a little distended but it seems to simply flatten as she stretches and then looks at the pair.

"Now! It is time I go check on a great many people and make sure they are all safe, sound and happy!" She then races over to the way she got up via the roof top entrance and looks back, "I will see you two later! Have a good day!" And with that, she's gone in a quick blur of movement.
Koriand'r "There are humans who are...not great," Kori admits, even as she makes to settle herself downward, resting her behind down on the edge of the rooftop lightly while she rests. "But there are many who are. Especially among the heroes like the Titans. I'm sure you will find yourself here more comfortably and enjoy our company. Especially if there is a night for Pizza and movies, they are always much fun."
Xiomara Rojas "Mustard is one of those condiments that really goes well with things," Crush offers. "I like the hot German mustard and that dijon stuff on hoagies."

She falls silent as Kori goes on about the kindness of some humans, the Titans included in that. She believed that there were some out there who were nice, not complete moronic hate machines, she'd just not come across that many until now... culture shock was a thing. All her life humans had treated her like shit because of how she looked, so to have some now that cared and were considerate? She was still adjusting.

"I've met Caitlin, Terry, Madison, Irie, um... Kaida here, though I really thought I hallucinated her. Oh, the bird guy! As well as Bart Allen, Kate Bishop, and um... now you," she indicates Kori. "All briefly of course. I don't social real well, as I said."

Looking into her tea cup a moment, she downs it before pouring more. "I'm trying and learning though."
