Kate Bishop The Weekend Went Well. Very Well.

The World Didn't End.

So yeah Kate views it as as a total win.

Monday comes and school is slowly killing her so she fishes out her burner phone and fires off a text to Ghost Spider setting up a meetup in Gotham that evening. She has an AGENDA and that means she execute on more than school, hero work, and training. Still she thinks this may prove to be worth it.

As she strolls into the abandoned amusement park though she looks around and muttters to herself. "Huh.. it actually is an abandoned amusement park. You know this really does explain why clown related crimes are so damn high in Gotham per capita... I mean. Partially. There has to be more reasons though because they are crazy high numbers. "Well on the bright side maybe after we talk we can beat up clown adjacent criminals."
Gwen Stacy Despite living in Gotham, Gwen still tries to patrol part of New York as well... at least she did early on. It got complicated when she spent more and more time at Shadowcrest, and thus, her patrol changed to cover bowery. Swinging through the much darker city where people were far less receptive to aerial spider themed vigilantes than more clandestine, darker clothed options.

She was walking along a landing with her arms out when the phone rings in the small web pouch, and she fishes it free to glance down at the message and pin where Kate wishes to meet up. A quick jog, a high jump, and she's swinging in the direction of amusement mile.

"It would be a shame if there's not some kind of carnival themed villain group in Gotham to go with an old abandoned, creepy a.f. amusement park..."
Kate Bishop Kate did a bunch of internet sluething and setup the meet at the old Merry Go Round for maximum creepyness.

Honestly when she was searching for out of the way places in Gotham she stumbled on one of those urban spelunking sites and this place is top of the list. It did have a lot of warnings about the dangers of clown themed gangs though and to be very careful.

Which was kind of a plus in Kate's view if nothing else. Practice. I mean how dangerous can a clown criminal actually be.

Anyhow she shoves a carousel horse to make sure it doesn't all collapse then swings onto it mounting it like a girl who has owned or does own horses and waits for Ghost Spider.
Gwen Stacy A little while after Kate arrives, so too does Ghost Spider. The THWIP of her webshooter announcing her presence a short breath before her weight ''squeeks'' the marry go round in a small circle.. The tiny heroine dangles off the side, rolls down on her palms and drops onto one of the precariously suspended horses near to Kate. Arms folded and resting her weight forward,

"So did you literally just look up the creepiest place in Gotham? Because..." Glancing around with an obvious raised brow mimiced by her mask, "This is probably the most creepiest place in Gotham and I'm going to have nightmares about it for weeks... thanks.. Thanks for that."
Kate Bishop The thwip sounds right but Kate is half reaching for her sword at the noise and movement then relaxes when it turns out to be Ghost Spider landing all nimbly on one of the horses there. Honestly she is relieved it is Gwen and not one of the many things that lurk in Gotham.

She is very brave but... yeah waiting here is kind of creepy.

She flashes a grin to ghost spider and nods very solemnly there. "I did. I mean you picked Gotham... so I sat there and thought.. hell she is calling me out.. daring me to come to creepy town... I'll pick the most Gotham place... well outside the Asylum... and have us meet there." she looks around. "Did I do good?"
Gwen Stacy "Nugh..." Gwen glances around at the dark and gloomy amusement park from ages past with a dower expression hidden behind her white mask, beneath the equally white hood, "Good? Sure... if giving me nightmares was your goal." She muses, dropping her shoulders forward out of a shrug as she turns to Kate beside her.

"So, what's up? Aside from just wanting to bask in my presence, obviously.. I didn't really expect to hear from you... seems like you've got your crap together. What with hanging out with big league allstars like ... Beast Boy and the like." She'd seen the video of the ''Titans'' helping fight spider robots, obvs.
Kate Bishop "I mean obviously. The sole source of light in a very dark town and all." she smiles again sidelong to Gwen as she hams it up about the amusement park. "I mean on the brightside I am sure we will be jumped by clown hobo serial killers on our way out of here and we can have another teamup and smack the hell out of them."

She laughs a bit. "Catdude and Shadowgirl.. Blue Bird... I mean shit none of them have codenames yet other than Beast Boy. It is a bit embarassing really if I am honest about it. Still I am pretty sure they will have codenames real soon." she wobbles on the horse now.

"But yeah that whole crap together is why I wanted to to talk to you." pause "Okay that... sounds wrong when said outloud. I blame you. Still I wanted to talk to you about the Titans."
Gwen Stacy "You know, I read this is their natural habitat? Those pesky serial killer clowns..." Gwen says, angling a finger up and over towards Kate lazily, nodding just as much so in agreement that they'll likely be jumped and possibly devoured by said villains.

Really quite cavalier about it all.

"Oh? Catdude and Shadowgirl... those are pretty solid names, rigth?" Teasing, once more leaning forward onto her arms. "What about them? I don't know if I'm ready to go asking for your autograph yet, if that's what you're planning... need to build up your rep before I'm standing in the groupie line, ya feels me?"
Kate Bishop "See I bring you to the best places." she twists and frames the crumnbling rollercoaster like she is lining up a photoshoot over yonder. "Splinters. Tetnus. Rats. Risk of Clown Related murder." she makes click click noises with her hand "Oh look a haunted house..." click.

Then she pivots back around to you. "Man... if we reach autograph line stage and groupies... some of them are going to be really insufferable." she muses then grins. "I was thinking maybe you would make a good Titan is all.. we are pulling it all back together.. you are sarcastic and full of quips.. good in a fight.. and seem good intentioned. Not ancient like Batman or the Justice League..."
Gwen Stacy "Ancient like Batman and the Justice League..." Gwen says with a quiet laugh, "Christ, how old are you?" It's not a jab, she's barely out of high school her /own self/, leaning her whole body forward awkwardly to rest her chin on her arms as if her spine has no solid bones whatsoever.

"You want me to be a Titan? I think I ran into one of them early on... dude named Nightwing? He said something about a group named Titans... months ago, sure, but... didn't seem like it was a real option." A brief pause, "What changed? And... sure, is there like an application process or something? Do I need character witnesses?"
Kate Bishop "Is there suddenly a this tall to be a superhero sign somewhere.. this old to ride this ride and use your whacky gifts and powers to do good." she is amused though snarking, she doesn't take it like an insult or jab.

"You met Nightwing... I've met him like once. I'm not actually sure he is going to be a Titan or not truth be told.. he might be coming back though." she looks thoughtful. "So far that I know of out of the originals for sure we got Raven, Troia, Starfire, Beast Boy, and Fairchild. Newbs are myself, Birdboy, Catdude, Shadowgirl, this .. chick whose name I did not get..." she trails off. "What changed was a lot of effort by Beast Boy to get the band back together and the tower back in business. We managed to get things rolling... oh I think there may be a Robin too not sure... but yeah things are actually coming together to restart it all."

At which she gestures "Well character witness yes.... application is I drag you to Metropolis to meet people sometime."
Gwen Stacy "No, but then possible, Nightwing... got it. He didn't really seem like he was extremely interested in getting together with the shop, but wanted to push me off on ... Fairchild, yeah." Pointing, Gwen nods to Kate, lazily leaning off the side of the horse into a tumbling roll to sit upon the rusted surface of the marry go round with her feet hanging off the side.

"I don't know who any of those people are except for that people knew who they are... I mean I've read up since then, but... I'm really not from here. Anywhere around here, honestly." She's told so many people, she's really not even sure who knows she's from an alternate universe. Mostly people couldn't catch her to try and disect her though, so she's certainly not bothered by telling.

"Huh... well, sounds fun. Never been part of a team before! Could be interesting."
Kate Bishop Ghost Spider did mention it to Kate last time.

Kate dismounts the horse, yes this girl has ridden horses it shows, and walks over to sit by Ghost Spider and nods. "It's going to be excellent. Still the Birdboy as far as I can tell is a stranded alien who is just learning english... Starfire... also an alien.. Troia is a sheltered amazonian .. Wonder Woman's sister. There is a lot of big teen hero energy trying to figure out how to hero and help the world going on."

She grins sidelong to Gwen. "I'm pretty sure there isn't a no people from other dimensions or universes signs up in the Tower... and if there was I am sure someone would destroy them at this point. Hell I am not even remotely sure where Raven is from..." she shakes her head "Makes this place look like Disneyworld."
Gwen Stacy "A lot of high craziness, sounds like. I'll fit right in." Gwen says with a glance over when Kate joins her on the edge of the go'round. Gently swinging her legs with her ankles crossed, a palm laid on the rusted metal to eitherside of her hip.

"I'm not really learning how to hero, though? I'm a nobody here, but where I came from... sort of a big deal.. I have many leather bound books." She muses, using old popculture that really isn't that old to her because everything is newer there. As is just being established to make up for someones OLD PERSON popculture knowledge.

"Disneyworld is a wasteland in my universe.. tourist compete in games of chance for their very lives against mascots.." Shiver, likely fake, but still pretty shivery.
Kate Bishop "Okay my metaphor still stands, there are a lot more demons where we were Saturday night." she shivers, not likely fake. I mean maybe fake, but she sounds dead serious not snarky for a minute. Oh so hard to say since she seems to snarky and sassy.

"But hey world didn't end and I lived. Time to celebrate." she grins and shrugs "I don't need nearly the hero lessons some of them need and hell a couple of those ones I named are big league ..still teens but big damn deals in their own right." she shrugs. "Me though I am a girl with a bow and arrows and a lot of ... I don't know something.. lack of common sense probably. Still we could probably use someone wiht experience." a shrug. "You sounded interested before you tried to one up choice of theme parks." she gestures at the abandonned park.
Gwen Stacy "I'm interested." Gwen assures Kate with a nod, glancing up and around at the park as if it might still suddenly come to life and eat them both where they sit.. Which isn't as unlikely or far fetched as one might be reasoning it to be right now.

"Just give me a time and a place to show up. I'll be there to meet the gang.. I'll bring baked goods. Or buritos, or just crisp high fives.. I don't know what people are into food wise... Zatanna is a vegan.. which is /really/ questionable.." Hands up, temporarily patting the air, before settling them back down on either side of her.

"Can't fully trust someone who doesn't eat a hotdog."
Kate Bishop "That is absolutely a fact... we had a home cooked buffet the other night before shit went to hell with Brisket and sides and two types of pie. Lets see... I brought breakfast pastries Sunday... we were going for Churros when the spiders attacked." she nods "Oh and we had a ton of pizza one night.. I had to work like crazy in the gym after that training."

She smiles "So I think we probably pass the hot dog test... and yeah that sounds fine. I'll set it up then and get you introduced so some of the them." she peers at the park.

"So you want to bust up some crazy Gotham crime since I came all the way over here?" hah like it is that far with the hyperloop.
Gwen Stacy There's definitely some kind of crime to break up in this joint, that's a fact.

Just gotta look for it a little.

"Ugh.. so what you're saying, you're all future diabetics if this whole super hero business doesn't work out?" Gwen jokes, hoping forward off the edge of the go'round, hands brushing her butt and the back of her thighs.

"Well, since you came all this way... I guess we can? Gotta be careful though, damn Bats get real feisty when you break up crime in their backyard... Waaaaah waaaaah, you messed up crime by attacking it and making it stopp... waaah waaaah.. we're detectives who weren't there to make it stop ourselves, so fighting crime is making us look kind of inept.. waaah waaaah..."
Kate Bishop Kate slides to her feet brushing herself off as well with those gloved hands. Glad really for the armor weave to prevent splinters and tetnus despite her earlier joke about it all.

"Right .. wait. Are they really all like that. I mean seriously. They get grumpy when people fight crime in Gotham?" she looks around.

"Maybe this is why Gotham is so full of crime.. I should ask Nightwing about this. This is nuts."
Gwen Stacy "Yeah, kind of seems like it." Gwen says with a nod,

"Nightwing didn't seem to be, but I didn't talk with him that long, all things considered... there are others.. and they are definitely douchier." Still, there's plenty enough clown psychos to go around tonight!

"So, wing or a thigh?"
Kate Bishop Kate considers this. "That does explain all the crime and maybe why all the heroes are concentrated in Metropolis and New York... so strange...." she just shakes her head and then blinks.

Looking up she nods to Gwen "Thigh?"
Gwen Stacy "Smart woman, that's where all meat's at." Gwen jokes, taking a running start and leaping up into the air, both wrists out as her legs comes up with knees near her shoulders, to fire off a pair of webs to send her swinging higher still... on the wing, looking for something for them to break up!

GOTHAM BY NIGHT!
