Gabby Kinney Every now and then, no matter how much you think you're over something, it can be dredged up again in the blink of an eye. The run in that Gabby had with Pernila the zombie and Venom in an alley the prior night had done that for her. After a night of being unable to get herself to calm down she decided to do what she would advise anyone to do: Reach out for help.

The not-unfamiliar location of Robbie's apartment is where she heads knowing she should likely have called first but just not feeling up to dialing a phone and explaining WHY she needed to visit. She just knew Robbie was likely there, and Rien was likely there, and perhaps even Gabe--Though she was loathe to talk about what happened in front of him in case she let slip about Robbie's own issues. Still, it was a place full of people she knew and trusted and cared for. It was a start.

Leaning against the doorframe outside, letting her forehead just rest there against the wall, she reaches up to knock firmly on the door a few times.
Robbie Reyes Takes a few seconds for footsteps to be heard on the other side. Sound of voices, and a quick, soft burst of laughter; female. So most likely Rien. Then the latch is popped and the door's eased open, and Robbie's standing there in a rumpled tee shirt, damp hair and very hastily pulled on jeans. With the belt and fly still undone. He looks supremely confused to see Gabby on the other side.

"..hey. Uh. You lookin' for Rien?" He bites his lip, and glances over his shoulder at the closed bedroom door before looking back to the younger girl. "Think she's.. doin' her nails. Something. I actually have no fuckin' clue."
Gabby Kinney Gabby Kinney lifts her head when the door swings open only to find herself staring at Robbie with slightly red-rimmed eyes. Red, and dark circles beneath her eyes. It wasn't much, her healing factor usually kept her looking fresh and bright, but in this case something was definitely wrong.

A single blink comes as she opens her mouth only to pause and glance over at the door that he had looked at. Then her gaze swings back to Robbie with her eyebrows drawing together. "... Yeh. I just... Something happened. And I ... Fuck." Her hand lifts to press the heel of her palm into her eye rubbing roughly. "Needed someone. The fuck are you doing Robbie?" She lets out finally looking at him once more. "I always have bad timing."
Rien D'Arqueness Rien pads out from the bedroom in an oversized tshirt of a metal band that clearly doesn't belong to her, some boxers that likewise also don't belong to her, and a smile for Gabby, "Hey! What's up, buttercup?" She runs a hand through her hair, getting only partway through before snarls and tangles stop her. Tsking, she shakes her head to let the magic clear the tangles, then moves forward further.

Hearing Gabby, she motions her sister inside and motions to the couch. "Of course you can come in. What's happened?" She flicks a glance to Robbie and bites her bottom lip to keep from smiling, then motions towards the bedroom so he can put a shirt on and not be so distracting.
Robbie Reyes The bruised, red-rimmed eyes are noted, of course. Robbie isn't blind. And when the dark-haired girl confides that 'something happened', well, it removes all question in his mind of whether she's all right.

"..the fuck am I.." He looks down at himself, then back up to Gabby. Then Rien, who's drifted in near his shoulder. "I.. just got out of the shower, what do you mean what am I doing?" Looking a little flustered his own self, he backs out of the doorway as a fierce blush spreads under his freckles, and turns around in order to finish fastening his scandalously half-open jeans. Not that there was anything to see, since he has boxers on underneath. He'll let Rien guide her sister to the couch, while he veers off for the kitchen.

"Want something to drink? Coffee? Tea?" He pauses a moment. "Horchata?"
Gabby Kinney Gabby Kinney draws a deep breath... Scenting the air unintentionally as she was just attempting to bolster herself before stepping inside. A wan smile is offered to Robbie, and Rien, as she gives a silent nod while heading to the couch. She crumples into it letting her head rock back ontly the backrest. Then she shifts to lean forward resting her elbows on her knees opting for that position instead.

"Yeah. Um. Whatever that is if it's alcoholic yes please." Not that it would DO much but the thought was there and she's willing to try it. Her fingers creep into her own hair momentarily. "I heard screams from an alley and it was some muggers took out a woman apparently, but it was them screaming. They were..." Fingers dig in further to her scalp and drop away to look over toward Rien.

"... Drink first."
Rien D'Arqueness Rien settles down on one side of Gabby and curls an arm around her shoulders, offering the comfort if it's wanted. She lets Gabby talk for a minute, then nods at the request and looks to Robbie, "Babe? Would you get the bottle of whiskey on top of the fridge? Brown bottle, orange label? Grab some shot glasses if you want to join us." Not that any of them can really get drunk, but sometimes placebos work.
Robbie Reyes Of the three of them, it's actually unknown whether Robbie can get drunk. Most likely, he can, since he's able to get permanent body modifications like piercings and tattoos. As Rien has pointed out, his healing factor is more bestowed upon him, than a simple fact of his biology. And what is bestowed, can be denied.

At the request for something alcoholic, he shuts the fridge and follows Rien's instructions. Whiskey, and a few shot glasses, and he returns a little more decent than he'd departed. Sinking down on the other side of Gabby, he wastes no time pouring out a couple of fingers of the whiskey for each of them, and slides one of the glasses toward the younger sister.
Gabby Kinney Gabby Kinney leans heavily in against Rien's side when she sits down beside her taking comfort in the presence of her there. She does wait for Robbie to come over with the drinks though, for once glad that these two did trust her to drink for her age. Sure it wouldn't do much but be a distraction momentarily. That was beside the point. Reaching for her shot glass she knocks it back, face scrunching up, and then she taps the glass back down to the coffee table again.

"Thanks. I'm sorry my timing sucks on this, you guys look like you were just--" A glance is given to Rien with a bemused grin, then back to Robbie as well. "Relaxing."

For a moment she hesitates, then reaches over to tug Robbie closer to make a little cuddle pile of Rien, her and Robbie. Much as they could on the couch. "Okay first off this isn't about last night, not directly. It was gross and shitty but for whatever reason it's bringing back memories of something else that happened."

With that little explanation given she draws another deep breath to calm herself. At least now she could speak it out loud instead of holding it in. "Last night in the alley there was this zombie chick who was acting as some kind of vigilante. She pretty much ate the guys. Kali-ma-ed one and fed his heart to his buddy. And then there was the gunman that I got into a headlock when this OTHER guy shows up by the name of Venom who just..." Her hand makes a quick chopping motion. "Cut him open while I was holding onto him. Then ripped his head off and ate it." A shudder runs through her at this and her face scrunches.

"Fucked up as that was... I keep remembering. Ugh." Her hand rubs at her face again before glancing through her fingers at Rien. "Did I ever mention the time a bunch of us were kidnapped by Mr. Sinister and tortured?"
Rien D'Arqueness Laughing softly, Rien shakes her head and grins, "Not in the last half hour or so." She tugs Gabby in close, then happily adds Robbie to the 'pile' when he joins them. Taking her shot, she tips it back without hesitation, swallowing the liquor and setting the glass back down as she licks her lips. "Ah. An excellent company."

Falling silent while Gabby speaks, Rien interrupts only once, lifting her hand, "Last night? Please explain for those of us that weren't present?" Rien had a Gabe night last night, so wasn't involved with any superhero'ing. Otherwise, she keeps quiet, then frowns faintly. "Those don't sound like... heroes. They sound more like... villains."

She shakes her head at Gabby and murmurs, "Details aren't necessary, if you don't want to. You can leave it at that and I'm sure my imagination will conjure up plenty of terrible things."
Robbie Reyes There's something ironic, and yet strangely appropriate about the fact that Gabby came to the two people with possibly the fewest compunctions about murder. Robbie's body count alone doesn't bear thinking about; and Rien was literally made to destroy demons.

Well, maybe that's why Gabby's here.

Drawn into the group hug, Robbie's hesitant at first, then eases into the contact. He's got enough reach to sling his arm around both girls, gripping Rien's shoulder as he gives them a solid squeeze. Then it's time to toss back his shot; with a bit of a grimace. Whiskey's not his favourite.

"Fuck, sounds like it was a shitshow. Don't blame you for bein'.." He trails away, and meets her bloodshot eyes for a moment. As for this Mr. Sinister, "Don't think you mentioned that one. You wanna talk about it?"
Gabby Kinney "Yeah well they claimed to only go after other bad guys so I can't say that they were or not. It was messy either way." Really, they hadn't held back at all. Maybe that was why she did come here. Other than the familiarity and fact that Rien was her sister, she knew shew as more all right with death than many others. Tim would have balked. Others perhaps not understood or wanted to listen.

When Robbie pulls into the hug with both of them she finds herself marginally relaxing. Familiar scents, familiar people, and warm company. It was a good start to helping ground herself.

"Yeah. A bit. I won't go into detail," she agrees with Rien nodding slightly. "The guy's a nutjob scientist and mutant who is hell bent on 'perfecting' mutants. He got a bunch of us from the school--" Here she pauses with a scrunch of her nose. "Uh, the school I went to is kind of a secret safe spot for mutants," she explains to Robbie. "Most of the staff are mutant, too. Anwyay he snagged a bunch of us. Some kids, some teachers. People I knew. And he was torturing them trying to force a secondary mutation in them."

Her hands clasp in front of her wringing together. "I couldn't do anything for them. I couldn't stop him. He made us watch everything... and I couldn't do anything but try to help them after and look for an opportunity to escape. We all knew I also would be the safest. I heal. I can't feel pain. I was our best hope to get out."

Here she pauses to bite her lip. "He found out. He made me feel pain."
Rien D'Arqueness Leaning in towards the group hug, Rien inches an arm around until she's gripping Robbie's waist so she can return the hug. Sending him a brief smile before looking back to Gabby, running her tongue over her teeth, "Mmmm... fair. I can't say I'm exactly... pleasant.. when I really cut loose, so to speak."

She lets out a sigh and glance towards Robbie again, "It's a 'school' like those private Catholic academies are 'schools'. It's a place where a man trains a child army to fight the battles he refuses to. I will never understand why anyone thinks good things will ever come from there." Her own feelings about the place are pretty clear.

Looking back to Gabby, she tsks softly, "I'm sorry Gabby. That blackops place really didn't do you any favors there. Making someone not feel pain always -seems- like a good idea, but... hm." She queezes Gabby again, "Well, would you like to crash here for a bit? We can get you some pillows and blankets, you can wrap right up here on the couch and I don't have to be anywhere today so I can stay nearby."
Robbie Reyes He's not much of a talker, but at least he seems to have listening down. And he wasn't joking when he claimed to run a little hot. The warmth coming off his body isn't oppressive, but merely.. like sitting near a fire burning on embers. A slow, companionable heat, mingled with the extremely mild scent of soap on his skin. And that everpresent whiff of char and brimstone.

"You need me to pay that school a visit?" he murmurs, toying with the empty shot glass in his hand. His mismatched eyes meet Rien's for a moment after he says it, and she makes the offer of staying over. "Yeah, welcome to. Gabe's out for a few days, drivin' upstate with a few friends of his, so.."
Gabby Kinney Gabby Kinney gives a little shake of her head when the talk of the school picks up. "I can't say the school is like that because frankly they can't get their shit together enough to figure out how to treat the kids, but they DO help the ones that need to learn to control their powers. ... The rest is... eh." A wry grin creeps over her at that. "No need to pay any visits. It works for some people. Not everyone." Not her.

Leaning back in against them both she squirms one arm around each to give a squeeze of thanks. Small as she was at least it made it easy to reach around her so everyone got a hug in. "Yeah. That would be nice. I couldn't sleep all last night and I don't really want to be alone." Then as a bit of a joke she adds, "Promise I won't take up much space," in an attempt to lighten her own mood a bit more.
Rien D'Arqueness Nodding, Rien squeezes the both of them and murmurs, "Okay. Let me go grab some extra pillows and blankets. I'll leave a fresh towel, toiletries, and some comfy pajamas in the bathroom for you so you can clean up and get warm and comfy and we can do some laundry to get your clothes clean while you're getting some rest, hm?" She smiles at Gabby, then disengages to go get things set up for Gabby, but not before pausing to kiss Robbie for being such a good boyfriend.

Moving off, she collects up extra blankets and pillows and Samantha nose-wiggles some fresh toiletries and towels into the bathroom for her sister. And jammies! Soft, silky sleep pants and a nice soft tee. "Okay! Everything is set and ready for you!"
Robbie Reyes The kiss is received chastely, and he lets his gaze follow after his girlfriend a moment or two before shifting back to Gabby. "What do you like for breakfast?" He gives the brunette a squeeze, and climbs to his feet to go pad off to the kitchen

"We got cocoa puffs, froot loops, and uh.. all bran? Who the fuck bought this?" He turns his head to look accusingly at Rien.
