Owner Pose
Luke Cage Its late afternoon and the lunch rush...if you can call it that, is finished. Luke's bar isnt exactly raking in the customers but with some local fame comes a bit more clientle. The large man is behind the bar, cleaning up some glasses as he goes. Just trying to keep himself busy for the moment.
Colleen Wing Some afternoons call for tea or a nap and some call for a drink. This was one of those drink days. They did not come often, but when they did the young womam known as Colleen Wing owuld make her way down to Luke's. Sure it attracted some fans of the large man...not really her cup of tea so to speak, but she could usually find her spot on the very end of the bar tucked away where she would not be bothered.

She certainly is not dressed to impress, a pair of jeans, black sneakers and a white hoodie with the hood up. It is one of those days and she simply does not care what she looks like. SLowly she saunters her way to the bar and settles into what she has deemed /her seat/, giving Luke a nod and murmuring. "Something in a bottle."
Luke Cage "Hey." Luke did a wuiet gesture to the other bartender to take over for most of the customers, what few there are. This gives him the time to focus in on Colleen.

He reaches into the cooler and grabs a bottle, by now learning at least a few brands that she enjoys at a tolerable level. "Rough day on thr mats?" he wonders.
Colleen Wing Colleen extends her hand to take the bottle, bringing it to her lips for a long slow sip before setting it back down on the bartop. Her eyes level to meet the large man, a casual shrug given. "Long week..and it's only Tuesday. That deserves another sip." The bottle is once again and another sip taken. "You been staying out of trouble?" The question is more casual then perhaps expecting an answer.

Her hands raise and the hood is lowered, her hair completely down and no real effort made to contain it. She clearly is not about appearance right now. With the hood down a bruise on her face and a small cut in the process of healing can be seen more clearly as she raises her head. "Place is still doing well?"
Luke Cage "Fuck no. There is /always/ trouble." Luke points out as he sips his bottle of water, not drinking at work is just good business. "Nothing that could hurt me." be admits with a shrug.

Eyes look up from the bartop he is wiping to her face, "Obviously you have not been as lucky." he speaks up. He doesnt ask, but he clearly is expecting a story by the way he says it.
Colleen Wing Another small sip this time is taken, her eyes not leaving the man behind the bar as she does so. The bottle is not lowered and she replies to his words from behind the bottle. "I underestimated a guy. Still got paid. So he was better than I thought. Won't happen again. Well, I mean it could...but he won't hit me." There is little detail given about exactly where she was when she recieved the battle marks.

"Always trouble? Well why are you not letting me know. I mean look at you, you certainly can handle yourself, but leaving me out of all the fun. Shame on you." She winks and tosses him a smile before taking another sip.
Luke Cage Luke Cage grins, "Yeah well...maybe Ill promise to have you around next time...but sometimes you dont know whats around the corner." he adds, "Try not to hold it against me." he adds then with a smile.

"So, someone got a lucky hit. You can bounce back from that." He points out with a nod.
Colleen Wing "Lucky hit? You could say that. Well, to be fair I did not see it coming. Totally through me to be honest. I'll admit it." Another casual shrug is given as she reaches for the bottle. "In the end...I was looking down at him, so it didn't really make a difference. Learning experience." She takes another sip and tips the end of the bottle to him. "And that is the good thing about trouble, you never always see it coming. What's keeps us on our toes, right?"

Her eyes scan the bar at the other patrons, sighing softly. "So business is going well?"
Luke Cage Luke Cage shrugs his powerful shoulders, "Its going ok...it helps pay the bills but not everyone that comes is a paying customer." he points out, "Some just want a pic." he grunts and then waves around the mostly empty bar, "I do well enough to keep a roof over my head but I aint living the high life."
