Owner Pose
America Chavez     It takes a man with pretty big cojones to try and stage a terror attack in the middle of the Flatiron District, but it seems today someone decided to grow a pair. The car runs down Sixth Ave and jumps the curb to veer directly at the HQ for Damage Control. That it's on fire and apparently empty already drew a number of alarm bells from those who've seen in. Onlookers and sight-seers start to peel away screaming from the carnage rent by the runaway vehicle.

They don't get too far though before the vehicle explodes sending shrapnel and rubble from the stone-wrought building in all directions!

The smoke clears only to reveal a number of injured and the smoking rubble of a car against a mostly intact building and one man standing nearby in a black and violet colored tactical suit. His face--in fact all his features--are hidden behind a completely black mask and he has a high tech remote looking device in one hand. "That's unfortunate..." he says. "Though, unsurprising that Damage Control would reinforce their structural integrity..." he shakes his head and brings his left wrist towards where his mouth would be. "Test 01 is a failure. It seems the payload will need to be increased exponentially to fully ensure sufficient collateral damage to the building."
Billy Kaplan Billy Kaplan just wanted a Shawarma. With the sauce and the works and that crinkly paper that became slick with the juices as you nibbled on the meat- oh he had been wanting one for hours! After a full day of doing the college interviews and taking care of errands for his mom, he has enshrined the Shawarma Palace in the shrine of his desires all day as his just reward. Stepping out into the sunlight, he marvels at the texture, the scent, the sight of it as his stomach lets out an anticipating growl...

And then someone plows a burning car into Damage Contro's HQ! The collision and explosion aren't enough to make him drop his treasure from surprise, but the shrapnel that impacts the wall close to him, and which misses him by THIS much is. But the tasty treat is forgotten as he runs away. Bravely runs away.

Into an alleyway. It's amazing how often people panicking just run straight through without realizing that alleyways are an excellent refuge from incoming danger. This is convenient for him, because this deserted (for now) alley is the perfect place to enact his transformation.

And, shortly after, a bot of lightning crackles in the general vicinity of the armored figure as Wiccan, flying through the air with his trusty staff, makes his entrance. "That was not cool!" he shouts, the end of his wooden staff crackling threateningly after his warning shot, "Stand down or... be shocked! I guess."

Spider-Man level banter, he hasn't quite managed yet. He is also more concerned with looking at the damage and seeing if there are any injured people who might need to be evacuated- and they wouldn't be able to be evacuated if Explody McTacBro was still a threat.
America Chavez     The man in the tactical suit steps back from Wiccan. "A child? They send a child at me?" he laughs as he sets the remote device at his belt. "Very well... if you truly want to try your hand. Bring--" He flies forward landing not far from Billy's feet in a small heap that scrambles away from the being that struck him from behind.

The Star Portal that announces Ms. America's arrival is already closing behind her. She smiles at Billy in a way that most religions smile at figures of their chosen divinity as she straightens her jacket on her shoulders. "Hiya, Wiccan. Been a while" she says. "Isn't it a bit late for you to be getting into trouble?" she asks the young man.

The man in black and violet pushes himself to his feet. The mask covering his face has been ripped by the asphalt, revealing a man of plain features, white face, dark hair, grey eyes. Fairly innocuous for a 'Super villan' all things considered. "You'll pay for that" he spits acidly. Even coming with the cliche super villan quotes. Yawn.
Billy Kaplan Wiccan stops for a moment as Miss America Chavez herself comes out of the stars to literally punch a dude. He grabs his staff with both hands and bobs up and down in the air, almost as a substitute for hopping in place with excitement. "Wait! You're Miss America Chavez- of the Titans. Wow! That's so cool, the way you just-"

And then he glances at the villain in annoyance and says, "GagHimGagHimGagHimGagHimGagHimGagHim-."

In a moment of poetic justice, a wad of Shawarma wrapping paper, which had flown out from the stand during the commotion, suddenly flutters in the air and zooms towards the man in black's face, seeking to adhere to it like flypaper if he can't destroy it on the way.

"Wait-" Billy says, turning his attention to America, "You know my codename? That's... wow, that's cool!" He floats closer towards her, "You hang out with the Titans, right? I've been to their tower a few times!"
America Chavez     The wrapper spurred by Billy's magic does exactly what intended and the man is suddenly scrabbling and pulling at the wrapper that's super glued to his face in a panic going so far as to fall over in his sudden surprised terror.

America snorts at the man's plight and seems content to nod to Billy. "I know quite a bit about you, Wiccan. But we can get into that after this is dealt with." She looks over at the face of Damage Control Inc. and notices a number of its personel already out of the building to tedn tot he wounded and the structure of their HQ.

"And yeah, I hang with the Titans a lot. In fact..." she starts and turns as an explosion goes off near the man's face. It seems that he somehow managed to get the wrapper from his face by making it explode. He rises, smoke clearing from his face and its possibly a surprise that his face isn't damaged despite having an explosion take place -on it-.

"Enough tricks! You're going to face the wrath of Bomberman!" he says as he stares down the pair of young heroes.

America shakes her head. "Nope. Can't have that one. Nintendo and Konami have that one wrapped up. Try again."

The man blinks at America and seems taken aback. "Mad Bomber?" he ventures.

"Little outdated... but I think it's free. If you want to be labeled a copycat of a madman you can try it" she says with a shrug and looks to Billy. "Let's kick this guy's ass and then we can catch up a bit."
Billy Kaplan Billy looks at the man and frowns, "Why not something more creative like... The Conflagrator? Or Acceptor, that's a blasting agent so you'd be on brand. Or- or how about Bridgewire? The things that connect the legwires of a detonator. Dude, I'm a WIZARD and I know this, what's your excuse?" the young man shakes his head, staring at the villain. "Like, basic vanilla 'Flashover' would work too." He glances at America and nods, "Yeah, let's put him out of his misery."

He swings his staff around and builds up another charge, which he releases towards the Sir Not Creativey Naming Himself In This Movie.
America Chavez     The man raises a hand and flings out a powder that explodes in a conflagration as Billy's bolt comes from him. Unfortunately lighting is very good at arcing and the blot does just that, as it moves around the explosion and strikes the man in the chest sending him back on his rear once more.

America launches herself into the air with a superpowered leap and arcs over the explosion. "Or better yet, how about Concussion! Like I'm about to give you!" she says as she comes down, fist raised for a finisher. The punch connects and while it's not enough to level buildings (she didn't want to kill the guy after all) it's more than enough to knock him out soundly.

She rises once it's clear he's not getting up and looks back to Billy with a smile. "Good job!" she says to the wizard, beaming. "Now... about what we were talking before snoresville interupted us. I'm working on getting a group together. Sort of a Titan's NYC division or a Young Avengers. Kind of tied to both... you feel like having a home with me and a few others?" she asks.

Nevermind her vested interest in the man's well being--after all, he could be -THE ONE- she's been looking for all this time. The one who eventually becomes the being that created Utopia Parallel, her home.
Billy Kaplan The young mage lets out a 'whoop' when their Combo Attack (+4 for awesomeness) manages to knock out the Mad Bomber. As America makes her pitch, he floats closer, his cape flapping in the wind behind him in what he hopes is a cool effect.

It should be a cool effect. He's been practicing chanting minor enchantments to the cape in the hopes that it would do just that. His first attempts were disastrous, however, as he ended up with a cape that lost its veritable poop fluttering like a sheet in a gale at the slightest breeze, and he looked like a total dork. This was version five of the incantation, and it seems to be doing the trick. So far.

"Yes!" What red-blooded nerd would say 'no' to being in a team with Miss America? "You mean that? Me in a team? I'd be- I'd be honored! Who else is in the team? If I might ask? Just- 'cause I'm curious!"
America Chavez     America smiles as Wiccan hovers near. It is a pretty neat look with his cape fluttering in the smokey wind. "I've only got a couple of recruits so far. Keli Quintela, she's well... she's a Green Latern, only she's got this gauntlet instead of a ring. It's complicated but don't knock her, she knows what she's doing. Also, I've reached out to a hero named Mania. She's well... she's kind of like Spider Man, but scarier. We broke up a bank heist last week together."

She pauses to consider. "I'm going to reach out to a few others. Waspette, Red Arrow, Kate Bishop if I can track her down." A pause. "Also your b--," she stops herself and tries to cover it with a small coughing fit, "Tommy Shepherd, goes by the name of Speed. Any of those ring a bell for you?"
Billy Kaplan Billy frowns, "Uh, no idea who Kate Bishop is, but Waspette, yeah! That's Nadia Van Dyne! Oh! Oh if she's on the team I can ask her all sorts of things about Pym particles! I can't say I've heard of Red Arrow *yet* but I'm sure it'll be really cool meeting her."

He crosses his arms, "A Green Lantern of our own? That's good! Lanterns have some of the highest power indices on Capewatch, they're incredibly versatile with those constructs. A scary spider is even better than a regular spider, because regular spiders are already scary, so, y'know? Who's gonna mess with that?" he grins.

"Hm. Nothing rings a bell on Tommy. But 'Speed'? That means we get a speedster too? Oh, that's cool! Is he related to the Flashes? Speeding seems to keep everything in the family."
America Chavez     America laughs at Billy's enthusiasm. "I don't think he's part of the West or Allen family... he might be related to the Maximoff's, but it'd be a distant thing" she shrugs. "Once he's on the team, you can ask him!" she says. "It'll be nice to have you on board." Really nice if he's the one she's been searching for.

The paramedics and authorities arrive and America waves them over to the unconscious man. "He's the perp, officers. Pretty bog standard terrorist, but watch out, he's got some gadgets of the explosive variety... I think." She shrugs and returns her attention to Billy. "You hungry? I'm craving some shwarma after that sort of fight" she asks him.
Billy Kaplan "Oh could I!" He glances at the Palace and notices that it has been closed, the owners wisely deciding to bunker up as soon as trouble started. "There's a really good one over at 188 Ave... Au Za'atar? It's only about two miles that way," he gestures and begins to float upwards. "But it's a shorter trip if you fly."

He grins and begins to lead the way, a light blue outline around his form.

"Say, how *do* you know my codename, by the way?"
