Patience Alperen It was long after sundown. The Pride parade led to a street party over on Danny the Street which led to no few existential debates as to whether or not a street could actually be sentient. Patience had pondered, but chose to spend most of her time dancing and with a few pints of Guinness. Finlly she had said her goodbyes and began her walk home.

She wears a pale pink crop top that ends just above her pierced belly button (Which has a little rainbow shamrock charm dangle). The top proclaims in rainbow letters, "I Can't Think Straight". Shredded denim jeans, the thighs and knees all but gone and rendered to frayed tatters. On her feet she wears simple canvas sneakers. Her hair has been pulled back under a bandana dyed to the bi-flag colors. Somewhere during the day she got a full rainbow flag on a small stick. It had been tucked into the knot of her bandana to wave merrily behind her head.

She had a quiet smile on her features as she walked unhurriedly toward her apartment.
Glorianna Silver Not everyone who attended the Pride parade ended up the same party. Glorianna Silver, for example, followed a different group to a different bar further down the street. While Patience was dancing and tossing back pints of Guinness, Glorianna did a tequila shot or ten. Stepping out after saying her own goodbyes, she heads out into the street.

Coincidently it's the same street as Patience, and the two women are walking towards each other.

Glorianna is wearing low-rise bellbottom jeans, platform boots, and a gauzy white blouse that is open over a rainbow bikini top. A knotted rainbow scarf makes an impromptu ascot to complete the outfit. Her steps are weaving a little as she walks along on the sidewalk.
Patience Alperen Patience Alperen did not recognize the woman when she came into view. They had only met the one time for just a few minutes. But as she drew closer to Glorianna, the Glacier Stone began to murmur agitately in the back of her mind. <<Ember Stone. The Bearer is here! Fight! Defend!>>

Patience winced. She'd had enough to drink that any voice, particularly inside her skull, felt like yelling. Her right hand moved to the back of her head, trying to soothe that pouding ache.

She had slowed almost to a stop but fought off the voice in her head, pushing on. She did recognize the woman, now, and she was not about to act as if she were afraid. She did, however, wish that there were more people along the street.
Glorianna Silver Glorianna Silver experiences a similar reaction to Patience at the same moment, the Ember Stone screaming into her mind. <<The Glacier Stone! Burn! Destroy!>>

Glorianna is well past trying to keep up any pretense at this point. Tequila will do that. When she speaks it's out loud. And unfiltered. "Will you shut the fuck up already!" she cries out, both hands holding her temples like her head was about to explode. "We are NOT going to be burning or destroying today! I am far too drunk for that."

Blinking a few times, the redhaired philanthropist offers Patience a weak, half-smile before slowly straightening. Then she offers a wave.
Patience Alperen Patience Alperen hears the shout and can't help but laugh quietly. It really was pretty funny. Even to a bystander, seeing the woman yelling at nothing and no-one. But for her? She knew exactly what was going on.

"... you're getting it too, mmm? It's really tiresome. Isn't it?"

And in her mind the Glacier Stone whines and sulks at being called tiresome for trying to simply fulfill its purpose.
Glorianna Silver Glorianna Silver blinks a few times, swaying a little as she gets control over her breathing. And apparently the voice in her head. Slow, deep breaths follow. In and out. In and out. She nods. Once.

"Okay, I have my monster subdued. Are you good?" she asks softly.

Slowly and carefully, Glorianna straightens. Then she takes a tentative step closer to Patience, followed by another. "Nice shirt, by the way." she offers.
Patience Alperen Patience Alperen watches, a little wary. Things could turn adversarial quickly in either of their currently imbibed states. She hoped not. It had been a very good day.

"Same" she assures."Yes. I'm good." She let Glorianna close the distance, trying to keep the peace. Then she looks down to her crop top then back.

"Thank you. I don't.. often.. make my orientation known. It wouldn't have gone over well with the Church" she noted with irony. "I like your.." well it wasn't really a shirt. "... top and scarf. They're suitably festive for the day" she says with a smile. It was going okay so far. Right?

"So.. do we pass with the pleasantries and go on our ways? Or look for a place to sit and maybe talk a little?"
Glorianna Silver Glorianna Silver is drunk; drunker than she usually lets herself get. She'll admit that to herself later, and probably use it as an excuse. "Go our separate ways?" Glori makes a sound that comes out probably differently than the debutante had intended.

*giggle-snort*

Green eyes brighten and she touches a hand to her lips as if to stifle a burp. "I think we can sit down and talk for a while, at least. Apparently alcohol subdues the beast inside me."
Patience Alperen Patience Alperen smiles slightly at the giggle-snort. It was almost endearing from a woman who had come acoss so cold and aloof the last time. A nod. "Alright. I would like that, too, I think." Talking. She gestures. There was suddenly a bench. There had not been one before.

Above on a street sign, Danny the Street changes it from reading "No Parking" to "Take all the time you need!" How strange.

Patience moved to take a seat, leaving plenty of space for Glorianna.
Glorianna Silver Glorianna Silver doesn't give the change in scenery another thought, chalking it up to good fortune. She blinks, looking around a little and reading the sign before stepping up to the bench as well.

Giving a little turn, she settles heavily. RIGHT beside Patience.

Half-turning towards the other rainbow-clad woman, Glori tilts her head as if assessing her for the first time. She smiles, too. "Well..." Glori murmurs, with a shrug. "Happy Pride Day." And with that she leans in slowly, eyelids lowering and lips parting.
Patience Alperen Patience Alperen watches as Glori movees to sit. Beside her? Well there goes personal dance space! She wasn't really upset. But the idea that their two relics were this close and not trying to cause utter destruction was just a little unsettling. Oddly the Glacier Stone was completely silent just now.

Patience did blink at this sudden.. well what was it? Bravado? Celebratory spirit? Sure. We'll go with the last.

"mmm, yes. Happy Pride Day Gloriana..." She leaned to close the remaining distance, turning to lightly tough the other woman's shoulder with her hand. A fraction of a pause and then she kissed the woman back gently. It wasn't pensive, but neither was it filled wth passion. But perhaps it was a start?
Glorianna Silver Glorianna Silver's breath catches with just that light touch upon her shoulder, and Patience can feel the shiver. A moment later their lips meet. Patience may be soft and more reserved, but Glorianna presses closer with all the gusto of those tequila shots.

One hand rests on the back of the bench, her other hand lifting to lightly and tenderly cup the brunette's cheek. The kiss lingers, just pressing and tasting as if Glorianna forgot what to do next. What she does, however, is to enjoy the closeness... the taste (even of the Guinness!)... and the warmth of the woman.
Patience Alperen Patience Alperen slowly closed her eyes. It was.. well, nice. Not a little surreal given their last meeting and their over all situation. But for this moment, with no pretense? It was very nice.

As Glorianna puts her shot filled enthusiasm into the kiss, Patience relaxes, returning the kiss with more of her own entusiasm as Glori's hand touches her now flushed cheek. It was Pride Day, right?
Glorianna Silver What started out as a tentative, brief, congratulatory kiss soon takes on a life of its own. Glori's thumb brushes lightly over the swell of Pat's cheek, their lips pressing and tugging and matching their growing enthusiasm. The kiss deepens a little, tentatively at first, then Glori's strong, slender fingers comb through those brunette locks.

Time stands still, as still as both artifacts, while the two women make out openly. Comfortably. At some point Glorianna pauses to take a breath, pulling slowly back. Their lipstick is blended as well as smeared not a little. She is breathing faster, still cupping Patience's cheek as she slowly nods. "Um, yeah. Happy Pride Day." she murmurs.
