Kara Danvers Yay, Bludhaven. It might not be the crappiest place on Earth, but it's a strong contender for crappiest place in the United States. Why in the world GIRL keeps its headquarters here is beyond Kara. It's like choosing to set up in a sewer. The blue streak zips through the skies of the city, before descending into the headquarters of GIRL.

There's something she wants to find.
Vivian Vision Why is GIRL in Bludhaven? Because Pym Industries is here. And why is Pym Industries here? It's probably because it has a mix of good transport links and a very low land value. Not to mention some very generous tax breaks. So if Doctor Pym did happen to blow up his lab and take a chunk of the country with him...

Well it's not like he blew up a city anyone liked!

Vivian Vision is currently on her final school summer break. And that means science time. GIRL has so much astronomical data from it's FTL space trips that there is more data to look at than hours in the day. Even for someone who processes that information as quickly as Vivian does. But still it's all exciting and new. So it's not really work. And she can work on her latest culinery project. Macaroons dipped in various types of melted chocolate. Which will work best? It's a mystery to solve!
Kara Danvers Kara's senses don't take to long to process the presence of someone else here in headquarters. Oh, and...perfect. Vivian. A smile quirks Kara's lips, as she starts to approach. The scent of chocolate fills the room and she enters. "Well, well. The cooking experiments are a thing. Hey there, Viv." Kara leans up against the doorframe, one hand on her hip. "How's it going today?"
Vivian Vision Vivian Vision glances up from her work. Which seems to involve three kinds of melted choclate and some very careful dipping. It's only an accurate experiment if she gets the exact same amount on each macaroon.

"Oh hey Kara!" she greets. "I didn't know you'd be stopping by the labs today. Is there anything I can help you with?"

"I'm doing well. Once these have cooled I could use a taste tester if you are hungry?" She tilts her head slightly. Comparing the way Kara is standing with how she usually stands. A blink. A portion of her brain confirming with the buildings systems that no concerns about clones or doppelgangers had been raised. Nope. All clear.
Kara Danvers It's definitely a more confident stance. Sassy? Kara smiles. "And who would say no to chocolate? Hey, I am out here today because I thought I heard mention about some kryptonite in storage. Do you have any records on that?" she asks the synthezoid, before taking a few steps into the room.
Vivian Vision Vivian Vision motions over to a few cooling racks. Some seem ready to eat. Mostly the dark chocolate dipped ones. With the light and regular sorts still in the process of cooling.

"Kryptonite? Lets see. I think the Titans had some samples from a space battle with Zod," she muses. "If Great Aunt Nadia has some it's either in the highly restricted vault or in her personal storage site. The highly restricted vaults don't usually allow remote data access for security reasons." There's another pause and then she adds "I also think one of the Outsiders has some... The mission to save Nadia and her friends from N.O.W.H.E.R.E there was unusual radiation readings which could have been a sample."
Kara Danvers Kara walks over, and picks up a dark chocolate cookie. She smiles over to Vivian as she gives her assessment. "Now see?" She seems pleased. "Just cannot beat an AI for data storage and access. It's like a taste of home." She slowly licks the chocolate coating on the cookie once, before popping it into her mouth. Chew. Swallow.

"Unlike this, which is far better than a taste of home. Horribly bad for you. Well, not for me. Not for you. But for them."
Vivian Vision "Well, you probably could have got most of that information from Titans Tower or the GIRL records," Vivian points out. Her brow furrows and she blushes slightly at the way Kara has decided to sample the snacks. "I'm not privy to the security arrangements for any of the samples. But I am sure you'll be pleased to know they are extremely secure. Treated with the utmost care so no-one could try hurt you or any other Kryptonian."

"As for those treats they are actually not that bad for Humans. They boost energy and endurance as they are mostly coconut. Which enhances physical and athletic performance."
Kara Danvers "Yes, but this way I got it all with one question." Kara nods. "Secure is one thing. But I'm a big fan of NOT having murder rocks around where they can be gotten ahold of by other people. Better they be destroyed or put out into deep space."

"Cookies aren't exactly healthy, Vivian. I know you don't really get the biological thing. But when you have to eat, it probably shouldn't be things unhealthy for you. Well, like I said. Unhealthy for them."

Kara pops down another cookie. "Just means I'll need to get any here from Nadia. The Titans sample will be a little more complicated I'm sure."
Vivian Vision Vivian Vision pauses. Guess some of the macaroons are getting uneven dipping after all. "That is a fair point but.. why now?" she wonders. "You could have always raised those concerns back when the samples were first obtained."

She shakes her head. "I can easily comprehend nutritional data. They're not good as a staple food, but in moderation for example before or after a work out they are perfectly acceptable. Besides they cause beneficial effects in regard to dopamine, serotonin and endorphin levels."

She blinks a few more times. "Are you feeling okay Kara? Your gait is off and you're acting a little different."
Kara Danvers Kara tsk-tsks. "And there's the limitation. No matter how you can process the data, you just can't understand it like an organic can. Kryptonian AIs had the same problems. Of course, we used them for their proper functions, we didn't dress them up like girls and have them make cookies. Humans have a fascination with the concept, it seems. Pinocchio. Data from Star Trek. The puppet that wants to be a "real boy"."

It's said casually, matter-of-factly, despite how stinging a comment it might be. Not at all Kara's usual consideration.

"And I'm feeling just fine. Honestly, a little more focused than usual. It's great. Helping me ignore some distractions and inconsequential points." A third cookie is popped down. "But it DOES mean I'm going to have to probably get the kryptonite from Nadia in order to destroy it, which means I'm just wasting time right now. Titans'll be harder. Dealing with that is like...what was the phrase? Herding cats."
Vivian Vision "I wasn't built by Humans," Vivian points out earnestly. "I was built by Vision. And I dressed myself /and/ decided what I'd create." She pouts. "As for my understanding of the data. I think I grasp the core of the matter perfectly fine. Food shouldn't just be about filling the needs of the body. You have to factor in the mental needs too. Without enjoyment it's merely a chore that needs completing."

Something certainly seems /off/ about Kara. Choice of dialogue. General demeanor. The way she walks with a little more of a swaying motion. Not to mention the sudden interest in things which could be used against her.

So Viv does what she thinks is best. And uploads the entire encounter very carefully to the Titans and GIRL. Excluding Kara herself from the notification. "I'm sure the team will be happy to listen to your security concerns."
Kara Danvers Kara is unaware of Viv's electronic communications, of course. She may have a ludicrous amount of supersenses, but technopathy isn't one of them. She smiles. "I'm sure I can make them listen." She says to Vivian. "I'll see you around, Viv. Have fun with the EZ Bake." She winks to the synthezoid...and then zips off at superspeed, leaving a blue-and-red afterblur.
Vivian Vision Vivian Vision calmly puts the bowls of melting chocolate to one side. She waits a moment to give Kara time to leave the area. And then triggers a silent security alert. With Black Widow as the head of security the guiding principle for GIRL security is extreme paranoia. Better to have everyone make a calm evacuation and work from home than to risk an angry clone Kryptonian or doppelganger storming in!

She shakes her head. "I suppose honestly is not always the best policy.."
