Mary Bromfield It's closing time, and one last call for al.. wait, no, caffeine. The Coffe Bean doesn't have a license for //that//. And well, Mary's just finishing up her shift, yawning a bit behind the register as she looks like she's had a pretty long day. Still, though, she has a cheerful smile, albeit a weary one, as there's very few people in the shop right now.

Coffee being an early person's drink, anyway, save for a few students and other people still lingering around. Mary herself is wearing a Coffee Bean T-shirt with her nametag pinned on her chest. Her hair is tied back for now, just so it doesn't get in the way of making the coffee.
Naomi McDuffie Walking in to the coffee bean late, Naomi yawns large and walks up to the counter with a smile before nodding to the girl there, "Hi!" She states simply enough and considers, "Do you guys by chance serve more than just cofee? Don't get me wrong, I do want coffee but I'm hoping to maybe get something with a bit more as well. Maybe like breakfast sandwiches or something?" She looks at the time, "Sorry to ask so late. Just kinda needing a pair of pick me ups after a long day."
Mary Bromfield Mary grins, "Oh sure, well, we have some pastries... and I could fire up a bagel in the toaster if you like. How does lox and cream cheese sound on it?" She chuckles, "And you don't have to tell me about that, between school and work and everything else, I hardly know what time of day it is anymore." Her eyes dance a bit, "Did you want a coffee too, or just the sandwich?"
Naomi McDuffie A smile and she nods, "Thanks so much. Coffee, too, though." She nods her head, "Just with enough room for some cream and sugar." She nods her head and then she pulls out some money and idly looks to Mary, "Mary, huh?" She smiles at Mary, "I'm Naomi." She nods her head, "I kinda feel like every day is long here lately. Hopefully things might even out once I finish school." She nods her head, "Though then I go to college so..." She shrugs and sighs, rolling her eyes, "Maybe."
Mary Bromfield Mary grins at that, "You too? I just started this semester. Empire State." She looks pretty cheerful as she gets the coffee together, "Working on a journalism degree. Which, well, I guess it's not that popular these days, but I think it's important." She also works on getting the bagel together, lox and cream cheese as requested.

"And nice to meet you, Naomi. That's a pretty awesome name." She grins and gets Naomi her change, and then slides her the bagel on a paper plate, coffee in a neat cup. "Thankfully the weekend is soon. Very soon."
Naomi McDuffie Smiling at her, she nods, "Hey, Journalism is pretty good." She nods her head as she considers that, "I mean, there's always online news and stuff." She nods again before leans on the counter and nods her head, "I really don't know what I want to do." She laughs, "And thanks." She grins, "Mary's a pretty good name, too." She then nods her head as she then blinks at the coffee and bagel being ready so fast. She slides some money across and takes both before nodding her head, "So, how much later are you guys open? Don't wanna keep you here past closing." She shakes her head.
Mary Bromfield Mary hrms, "Probably another half hour or so... it isn't a big deal, though." She smiles over at Naomi, "And thanks. But between school and work and a boyfriend, which is totally new to me as an idea... well, sometimes it's a bit hard to find time for myself, you know?" She chuckles, "But, well, it's nice to actually be able to talk with someone about things." Boyfriend, or just Naomi? Eh, either way...
Naomi McDuffie A smile and she nods her head and she seems to shift a little at that. She nods, "Oh, a boyfriend. Cool." SHe nods her head as she then takes her food and drink and sips before nodding her head, "WEll, good you have someone to talk to." She grins wider, "I'm gonna go grab a table, I'll try to get out of your hair before too long. Good to meet you, Mary. I hope we run into each other again."
Mary Bromfield Mary smiles, "Likewise, Naomi. If you need anything, you just let me know, okay?" She grins, "And I hope you don't mind Critical Role, because when it's this slow I tend to stream it on the big TV here. No one has minded yet, anyway."
Naomi McDuffie "No, not at all." She smiles and nods, "Go right ahead." And with that she moves over to the table and takes a seat. She sets down her bagel and sighs before taking a bite of it and picking up her coffee for a sip.
