Jon Kent Jon Kent hasn't been around the Tower proper... well, ever. Although he is technically an ally of the Titans, the hectic life of a Super-person (and the /son/ of a Super-person to boot) hasn't left a lot of time for joining teams. It wasn't until fairly recently that his parents acceded to him taking up the mantle. 'Recently' is also a very strange concept, considering it will take place a little more than twenty years in the future from now.

Nevertheless, Jon is familiar with a lot of the Titans, both from future knowledge and from his recent experiences, and he knows that at least one of them worked at Happy Harbor recently. For varying values of 'recent', because time travel is never easy to explain. And it was on the matter of Happy Harbor that Jon wanted to consult.

So Superboy touches down right in front of the Tower entrance and walks up to the door, so that he can be detected and be allowed in.

"Er, Superboy," he says, "I'm here to see Miss Fairchild, if she's in. Please?" He gives the camera a smile, and proceeds to walk into the lobby once he is recognized, standard Kent politeness at work.
Caitlin Fairchild Caitlin and Donna are sitting at the large table in the main room, and Caitlin's trying to write a letter. Except it's a vellum scroll, not a sheet of printer paper, and the ancient bound book on the table marks it as 'Grammar'-- at least, for anyone who can read Greek.

"I am never going to understand these conjugations," she says with a sigh of resignation. "Every time I think I've got it right, I manage to get the subject in the wrong spot. I think Chara's English is coming along better than my Greek at this point," she mutters.

The Tower pings Caitlin's phone for attention and she lifts it off the table to look at the screen. It takes a beat for her to process Jon, and she smiles brilliantly before switching on the two-way.

"Hi Jon! Great timing. C'mon up, I'll buzz ahead for you," she promises him. The call's ended and the elevator doors *ding* open, inviting Jon in. "MARVIN, give Jon a guest pass please. I'll sign off on the clearance for him."

The redhead is in a babydoll tee and lightweight grey yoga pants, hair pinned up in a messy bun. She seems to be going to some pains to make sure she isn't going to overheat if she has to step outside for some reason. "Have you met Jon?" she inquires of Donna. "He's Kal's son. Kinda. It's this-- it's a time-travel thing. But he's really sweet," she promises. "You'll like him."
Donna Troy     "Chara's English is pretty great, Caitlin. You are way behind." Donna flashes her old friend a broad grin. "And honestly, Themysciran is a whole lot more rational than English is. You're lucky you learned English first. Ask anyone who didn't, it's a nightmare of a language. You've got it easy!"

Donna relents a little. "But to be fair, Amazons kind of have an advantage. We're just naturally good with languages. I guess the gods decided it would be important that we could communicate with the people we're fighting. Hard to tell people to surrender or you'll hit them if you don't know how to speak their language. Kara was kind of outraged when she realized I was picking up Kryptonian faster than she was picking up Themysciran."

When the chime goes and Caitlin announces that it's Jon, Donna gives her a quick nod. "Right, the other Superboy. Yeah, run into him a couple of times. Seems like a useful guy to have around. There was some talk about offering him membership, but I think he's eager to find his own way for the moment. We should probably offer him a guest com at least, so he doesn't have to knock and get Marvin to issue him a day pass. He should be in the system already though, you can just upgrade him."

With the notification from Marvin that Jon has been admitted and sent to the elevator, Donna gets up and heads to the kitchen area to grab some drinks. That might well have happened anywhere had Jon not turned up, but then it would have been wine -- now it's a selection of sodas instead.
Jon Kent Jon makes his way to the main room, and takes advantage of the shaft that has been installed for those who can fly- hey, how many chances does he get? As he sets foot on the main room floor, he spots the two women sitting at the table and he gives them a smile. "Miss Fairchild, Miss Troy, hi! Thanks for letting me in."

His Superboy outfit is still pretty much an 'early phase' thing: A T-shirt with the emblem of the house of El, skinny jeans and sneakers. Oh, and, of course, the cape. Can't forget the cape. It's very 'Casual Superhero Chic', which apparently has become a thing in some circles, but that wasn't his intention- it was pure indecision at the time.

"I hope I haven't interrupted anything, it looks like you're in the middle of something?" he glances at the parchment on the table and looks a little puzzled at the ancient-looking piece of paper.

He knew Caitlin was older than most of the Titans, but not /that/ much older!
Caitlin Fairchild Caitlin gets to her feet when Jon arrives and smiles warmly in greeting. "Jon, I've told you, it's Caitlin," she reminds him, and steps over to offer him a friendly and welcoming hug. "And no, you're not interrupting anything. I'm writing a letter to one of my friends on Themyscira," she assures him.

Caitlin gives Donna a grateful look at the little spread, and takes her seat again after Jon finds a spot. "And of course you know Donna," she reminds him with a polite little introduction.

"How're Conner and Kal doing?" she inquires of the young Kryptonian. "I talked to Kal a few weeks ago but Conner's tough to get a hold of for some reason."
Donna Troy     "And call me Donna, or Troya. Not Miss Troy, that's just kind of weird." Donna gives Jon a broad smile and gestures to the spread of sodas she has fetched. "Please help yourself," she says, helping herself to a bottle of Mexican cola as she does so.

"Cait's spoken Themysciran is pretty good, though she still has a few problems with the written form. I was just hovering around to help her out with the tricky bits, but we can finish that off later, don't worry." She cups her hand to her mouth to shelter it from Caitlin's ears (entirely ineffectively, of course) and stage-whispers "Don't tell her that I've got satellite wi-fi set up on Themyscira now, and she could be sending e-mail. She needs the practice, her handwriting is atrocious."

Donna sits back, giving Caitlin a wink. "So Jon, what is it we can help you with, or is it just a social visit? Kara isn't here right now in case you were looking for her, but she's doing much better."
Jon Kent "Right, Mi-- Caitlin." Jon amends, "Wow, you're learning Themysciran? That's pretty cool. I don't have good handwriting either, mom says I get it from her... will say I will get it from-" his lip twists a little. "You know what I mean."

He helps himself to a soft drink and gives thanks, getting down to enjoying the beverage. "Oh I'm glad Kara's doing better, I did want to check on her, but I guess I'll just come 'round later when she's here for that... but for the others, they're doing well- I haven't seen them a lot recently 'cause I've been spending more time at the farm with grampa and grammaw. They've been helping me out with the schooling and such."

"It was actually about that that I wanted to talk to you, Mi-er-Caitlin. I've been getting homeschooled since I arrived, but gramma said I should consider going to a school near Metropolis, get to be with kids my own age. And, well, I knew that you used to teach at one of those..."
Caitlin Fairchild "Happy Harbor?" Caitlin blinks. "Oh yeah, I mean-- I did, a couple years ago. That was right before we reconvened the Titans. Once the roster started growing I had to take time off to train the new recruits and stuff. But I liked working there, it was a great school. Dr. Macintyre's a friend of mine," she informs Jon. "If you're looking to get in, I could probably put in a good word for you."
Donna Troy     "Happy Harbor. Not a Metropolis school, that's in New York. But I don't imagine that's a major issue for you Jon," Donna says, grinning wide.

"We have a few members of the team who go there," she says. "And a couple who used to. It wouldn't be a bad idea at all to be honest, Jon. It's a school that specializes in giving a normal school environment to the kind of people who'd have trouble finding that in a more normal school. Aliens, mutants, metas and so on. And it's a very nice school, I've dropped in there a few times. When Wally's not around, I tend to look after Kid Flash, so I've had some dealings with the school before."

"If you think you'd like to talk over the idea with a few of the students first, we can arrange that for you without difficulty. And one of the teachers there comes here every few weeks to help Kian with his English lessons, so if you want to talk with her here, that can be arranged too." She glances Cait's way, and nods her head. "Or as Cait says, if this sounds good to you, Cait used to work with the principal. She can just make a call and arrange for you to go visit the place if you like."
