Gabby Kinney It's late at night. Very late. VERY late. Late enough it's early for the next day. Over the comms comes a simple request from Gabby, aka Honey Badger.

<< Hey, I could use help patching up an injury until I heal. I thought I'd make it back to the Roost but it's ... Kind of iffy riding a motorcycle right now with this. >> Ie, she wasn't going to make it that far. There were a few places she was near, of course, but whether she had access? Or if anyone was around? It was hard to tell. Thus her call over the radios.
Jason Todd Jason Todd had just gotten back after an earlier patrol. The comms message played in his earpiece as he stepped into his condo. Closing the door he listened. No one was speaking up. <<It's Jason. I'm available. Where are you? I can come get you.>>

His voice is quiet and calm though there is recognition that this has to be more serious if she's asking for backup.
Gabby Kinney << Thanks. Currently at the corner of 9th and Hudson. >>

And unless asked further questions that is precisely where she remains. The little Honda she tended to ride on is parked up on the curb with a lock on the wheels to ensure that it remains safe. Or mostly safe. As for her? She was standing leaning against the wall of the building wearing an oversized hoodie that was once a pleasant shade of blue.

Now it was stained in a dark liquid down her right side, pooling around her shoulder and neck area. Her opposite arm cups the elbow of that one keeping it from moving too much.

Other than being a bit pale she seemed fine. Could just be another drunk taking a moment if one didn't look too close or know what to look for. Her hair is matted in one spot though with something hard to tell given the darkness of her hair. It might be more blood, though given it doesn't drip down her face, likely not hers in this case.
Jason Todd <<You're five blocks away. I can be there in under five minutes. Hang on.>> And with that he pulls Red Hood's helmet back on and turns. A pause to consider his bike. Not ideal. Entering the code to drop the ramp to the Red Cave below the garage, he made his way down to his customized Mustang Mach-1.

The matte black msucle car roared to life. He made his way quickly to Gabby's location. Stopping with the engine still running, he stepped out, "Need a hand?" He moved around regardless to open the passenger door for her. He wasn't eve making an issue about her getting blood on his seats.
Gabby Kinney Gabby Kinney gives a little noise of response. Just a tired sound, but it at least acknowledges that he'll be here soon. Thankfully. When the Mustang pulls up she arches a brow a little bit at the sight of it, flashing a smile. "Classy," she teases as she pushes her weight away from the wall to walk over.

At least she's walking all right. Once the door is open she sinks inside swinging her legs in with a sigh. "Thanks. This is a bit more serious than I usually get. Usually." Except for that time with the grenade. Or that time with the katana.

"Sorry to bother you, Hood, thought I could make it back. Over-estimated myself."
Jason Todd Jason Todd smirks under the helmet. "She may not look like much but she's got it where it counts, kid." He couldn't resist. Closing the door once she's seated, he moves quickly to the driver's side and heads off again, "You're not a bother. It's what we're all here for. Mutual aid is a thing for a reason." He glances over, "Sure you're gonna be okay?"

It won't take long to get back to the garage, though he drives a little slower out of consideration for her injuries.
Gabby Kinney Gabby Kinney lifts her good hand to give a little wave at the question of whether she'll be okay. "Mutant healing factor," she explains simply while just letting her eyes slip out of focus to enjoy the car ride as the city streets speed by. "And I can't feel pain," she adds, giving a pointed jab to her shoulder. Not a wince or even a hiss of breath from her. "It still takes some time to heal though and helps if it's all in the right place. Takes longer otherwise and makes some reeeeally gross bone crunchy noises."

Rolling her head to the side toward him she flashes another grin at the helmted vigilante. "I do tend to get a little tired while healing though. If it's really bad I konk out for awhile."
Jason Todd Jason Todd smirks under the helmet. "That would be handy, no doubt." A nod. "Alright. Well just hang on."

A few more turns and he's pulling back into the garage. Though any indications of a ramp or lower level are hidden again. Parking he gets out and moves around, "Okay, here.." He offers an arm for her to use to prize herself upright from within the racing seats of the car. "That's fine. You need to hibernate, there are few safer places to do it." He seems quite proud of that.
Gabby Kinney "Oh yeah? You got a fancy couch to crash on?" Teasing aside Gabby does reach out to accept the offered arm so she can wiggle out. The seats were the sort that wanted to just hug you and keep you in place. Great for driving at high speeds, bad for manuevering when injured. With his help she manages to do so.

Then she pauses to look around curious at the place he'd brought her. "I knew you had a place around here, but I've never seen it. Pretty cool so far," she has to admit.
Jason Todd Jason Todd says, "Couch. Bed. Whatever you need. Plenty of first aid supplies. Vodka" he adds as a joke.

"Here. Don't need you taking a header down the stairs." He moves then to pick her up in his arms, "Easy." Carefully he carries her up the stairs to the loft over the garage, still no more worried about getting blood all over himself. It was an occupational hazard after all.

"Alright. We're here. Couch? Or bed? You're sure if you fall asleep you're not going to bleed out on me? I don't want to have ot explain that to your sister or dad. Or anyone else for that matter.""
Gabby Kinney Gabby Kinney cracks a grin at the mention of Vodka even if it wouldn't do her any good. A little shake of her head comes as she starts to explain, "Could use to clean it but otherwise--"

Otherwise she would be okay is where she was going with it. At that point though she finds herself scooped up in his arms. It was easy enough to do, she was short and pretty light weight in spite of the gear she wore hidden underneath that hoodie she'd pulled on. "Hey!" A little squeak of protest comes out at the lack of warning.

"I can do either, but a bed does sound nice. I won't bleed out. Much. I mean. I did lose a lot," she has to admit with a grimace. "Cheetah got me." It takes her a moment to think on what she said. "Not the criminal. Actual cheetah. With things added to it. I won't die though, not permanently. I've died enough times to know that much."
Jason Todd He frowns. "Cheetah. Yeah that doesn't sound good. Hope she's had all her shot..." he snorts as she clarifies. "Hope it wasn't rabid.." he corrects himself. "Dying once was enough for me to figure out it sucks" he seems quite convinced of that fact.

He carries her over to the bed. "Alright, princess. Here's your bed. You want me to check the wounds? Will it even make a difference to how quickly you heal?" He pulls off his helmet and tosses it onto the couch before looking back to her. "Tell me what you need." He's a fixer. Give him a problem and he'll find a way to make it go away.
Gabby Kinney "Princess?" Gabby gives a little puffed cheek huff at being called that. If she could she'd likely be crossing both arms over her chest with a petulant pout while glaring at Jason. Half of the posturing is impossible at the moment though so she foregoes the melodramatics for now. The question was more important.

"I can't say anyone's ever accused me of being a princess before. I *did* pretend to be a rich heiress once for a mission though," she admits while starting to wriggle her good arm out of the hoodie so she can peel it off overhead. Beneath she's in her suit, or part of it at least. The bodysuit portion was cut rather badly where it had hit. Her chest at least was saved by the bodyarmor she wore.

"I just need it cleaned up and get anything out of it that might be in there. My body will push things out after awhile, but better to get a clean heal to begin with."

As all of this is explained she sniffs the air a moment. Then again. Looking mildly confused she glances to the side over her shoulder at the rest of the bed.
Jason Todd Jason Todd shrugs, "My safe house, my superlatives."

He lets her get the hoodie off and goes to grab a large first aid bag of the sort an EMT would carry. He also comes back with a bottle of vodka. He glances to the bottle, "This is for me. You can't have any. You're too young." He doesn't actually sound like he means it.

"Right then." He moves to take a look at the wounds. "Turn to the right a little?" He leans in to examine the wounds. "Damn. I'd be crying like a bitch if I got bit or clawwed like this." Is he joking? Probably. Maybe. He could just be trying to lighten the situation.

"YOu say you can't feel pain? That's, uh, probably good." He turns to open the EMT kit and starts pulling supplies out, setting them on the bed.
Gabby Kinney Gabby Kinney glances back toward Jason when he comes over to examine the extent of the damage. She tries to peer down at her shoulder much as she can only to result in a little spurt of blood seeping out further before it tapers off. Okay don't do that. "Yeah. The labs shut off my ability to feel pain with some nanomachines. Handy at times like this. Annoying at other times." Her good hand lifts to gesture with a thumb hooked over her shoulder. "If this were on my back I probably wouldn't know unless someone told me. Or my body just wasn't moving right."

A slight smile is offered to him when he brings the EMT kit over. "It's fine, you can't do anything to hurt me. Perfect patient here. Other than getting bored staying in bed at least. I'm guilty of that at times."

As she goes quiet her mind starts to wander too close to the thing that her sisters had always told her never to bring up. She did tend to babble though. Perhaps out of the blue she blurts, "So how'd you and Jessica meet?"
Jason Todd Jason Todd smirks. "I'm not trying to hurt you, Gabby. I'm trying to -help- you."

He begins to work on stopping the bloodflow. "How long will it take for your healing to kick in?" He puts on medical gloves and begins to work on cleaning the wounds. A slug of vodka for himself. A bit in the wounds. A bit more for himself. Then the bottle is capped. "Going to try and suture these closed..." He mutters as he focuses on what he's doing.

Then she asks a question and he blinks, "What? Jessica?" He shrugs, "She was about to get mugged in Sommerset. I was right place right time to step in and stop it. Of course neither of us knew anything about each other then."

He turns back with medical sutures and a needle. "I can't promise this will look pretty but if you heal like you say, at least I won't be responsible for any scars.. Try to hold still." And with the warning, he begins to try to carefully suture the wound shut.
Gabby Kinney Gabby Kinney grins right back at him with the reassurance of helping. "I know. Just saying I won't move on you while you work." She tries to watch a little before giving up to instead glance around the room. Just observing idly while he works.

"I've already been healing. It's just really deep. It'll work a lot quicker once the sides are pushed together." The mention of scars draws a highly amused grin from her. "As if scars bother me. I already have quite a few, in case you missed them." It's teasingly said while she points to her face. Hard to miss them.

"Ah, that's cool. I mean that you two met and stuff. I'll make sure not to flirt with you from now on though since... uh. You guys get along well it seems." A little pause before she admits, "I can smell her on the bed."
Jason Todd Jason Todd looks up at her then shrugs, "Except you are moving, Gabby. You're like trying to tell a two year old to sit still" he says with a smirk.

He gets back to stitching the wound closed. "Yeah. I'll use medical glue once this is sutured shut. Should help you out."

"I wasn't on a scar hunting expedition. I'd be a lot more obvious if I were." He pauses to get more suture, "going to use a lot more of this than I thought. Let's not make a habit of you getting this messed up regularly? I'll go broke trying to patch you up."

He shrugs, "It wasn't expected.." his voice sounding distracted as he tries to do the job right in patching her wounds. ".. once we figured out who our alter egos were, I ended up agreeing to help her get her ring un-possessed by the sorcerer-slash-asshole that was living inside. It's a strange as it sounds. But your Dark teammates. Leaders I guess? Chas, Rien and Jon? They helped her kick his ass. I just shot things. It's kind of my thing."

Then he pulls back, looking puzzled. "We only talked that one time at the Roost? It was fun to try to get you to blush, sure. But I didn't get the sense from sharing popcorn that there was anything more going on? Then things got busy and I haven't seen you since. I'm... sorry if I misunderstood?" He shrugs, "But that doesn't mean you have to stop being yourself. I'd rather you were than you try to be something you're not. If that means flirting comments then it does. I'm seeing someone, Gabby, I'm not dead. Any longer." Had to get that joke in. It never gets old for him apparently. "Jessica and I are trying to figure out what... we are. She's a Lantern now and she's going to be off playing universal space cop. I'm just a guy that beats the shit out of criminals in Gotham. We found each other for a while. We're trying to figure out if there's more to it or if we're better off as friends."

He pauses, "I'm sure you can.." smell who has been in the bed. On the bed. Around the bed.
Gabby Kinney When he starts to apologize about the flirting thing and misunderstandings, Gabby quickly reaches out to press a fingertip to the tip of his nose. "Boop."

"It's okay, I wasn't meaning to sound like I was nagging or calling you out. Just meant I would try to be respectful about things. I found that I've put my foot in my mouth *a lot* lately when it comes to guys. Like seriously." A soft smile does creep over her as she starts to shrug--And quickly stops. "Shiii sorry."

"I can't help it, I wiggle a lot! I'm full of energy and KitKats!"

Joking aside she does grow a little quiet while wearing a soft smile as she regards Jason a long time thoughtfully. "I get that. It can be hard figuring things out sometimes, especially when they move fast at first. I've seen it a lot in my friends. I try not to jump to conclusions about where things are going with someone anymore after my last few ... Uh." What exactly should she call them? Glancing up toward the ceiling in thought she finally settles on, "Confusions."
Jason Todd Jason Todd glares at her for the nose boop. Because he's the fucking Red Hood. He doesn't -do- nose boops. And yet there is a half smirk. Or is that grin? The two tend to be fungible with him.

"I didn't get the impressiong you were, Gabby. Honestly? I thought you were a lot of fun that day. Who knows? But our paths took us other directions. If we'd had the chance?" He shrugs with a real smirk now. "Well I wouldn't have kicked you out of bed for eatting crackers." Way to keep it classy Jason!

He frowns. "Seriously! Hold -still- or I'm going to sew my own finger to your shoulder. I don't even want to try and explain why we're stuck together like that."

"What we get in this life - playing vigilante. Superhero. Ghostbuster. Whatever you want to call what we all do. It's a hard and lonely life. Any happiness is good happiness as far as I'm concerned. Get it where and when you can." He turns away to get the bottle of medidcal glue. "Okay. First gash down - Dammit Gabby seriously! I am I going to have to sit on you to get you to stop fidgeting?!" He almost laughs at this point because it's just g4tting comical. Right in the middle of strange relationship conversations.
Gabby Kinney Gabby Kinney sticks the tip of her tongue out between her lips in a sort-of-mlem when he starts laughing at her squirming. A deep breath is taken, puffed out, and she grins more relaxed than before. "Sorry! I can't feel pain but I can feel ITCHING and when it's starting to heal it ITCHES." Which was a good sign at least, that it was taking effect a bit more. Of course it only really itched when she was thiking about it too much. Her weight shifts to the side lifting one side of her butt off the bed so she can quickly tuck her hand under it. Sitting on her hand she straightens looking as dignified as she can.

"Okay. I'm ready! For reals." With that she puts on a super serious face that lasts for about five seconds before she bursts into giggling at her own antics. Maybe she HAD lost a bit much blood.

"Half the people I know are in multiple partner relationships anyway. I'm starting to think that's the only way to make things work properly, or something. Since timings are split up all over the place given our odd ball schedules. At least," she reasons, "Seems to work for them."
Jason Todd Jason Todd sighs. ".. -jesus-... " he laughs at her antics and her attempt to sit on her hands. "You must have been a pain in the ass when put in the time out corner as a kid." He attempts to move on to the next wound. "Damn. I think there's part of a claw in this one..." He turns to get the forecpts out of the kit and turns back. "This time I mean it, ok? I don't know what the tip of this thing is like. I don't want to do more damage getting it out. Take a breath and hold it.. now."

She can feel him fishing around in the wound with the medical tool. "Almost... okay.." he squeezes the jaws closed and carefully works the broken claw out. "Damn. That thing must have been a real bitcht of fight.." He holds the clamped forcepts for her to take with the broken claw in it. "Make yourself a necklace from that thing.."

He takes the time to disinfect the wound before he goes back to suturing it closed. His mind catches up with the conversation and he laughs faintly, "I'm lucky to have one. Two? Sure, the idea seems great. But I'd just probably have two women wanting to murder me in every possbiel way instead. I'm not exactly the easiest person to be around I'm told." Maybe if he weren't such an asshole all the time.
Gabby Kinney "I wasn't as energetic when I was younger. 'Time out' meant either being locked in a room by myself or getting guinea pig duty." That reminder does at least keep her from squirming for a few moments.

"Wait a claw? Good thing I asked you to check." The urge to glance over and try to see it at an awkward angle is resisted. Instead she does as asked by taking a deep breath to hold it tight in her chest for as long as it takes him to get the claw OUT. Once he retreives it and tosses it to her she finally exhales deflating significatly in the process.

"You haven't met my sisters. Not all of them at least. Laura is cheery and well rounded compared to Bellona. Though," she reasons glancing at Jason thoughtfully, "You two might get along. She's off in Madripoor right now. Keeps her busy over there. Anyway, point is, I get along with people pretty well because I don't take anger or rude behaivor too personally. It's just an emotion that needs to get expressed like any other."

"Let me know when you're done. I either need a shower, a nap, or a hamburger. Maybe all of them."
Jason Todd Jason Todd senses the dark past memories. "Sorry. wasn't trying to take you there." He keeps working as quickly as he can. By the time he's done he's far more comfortable jabbing a medical needle into Gabby's wounds than anyone rightfully ought to be. At least he isn't grinning or giggling while he's doing it..

"I.. think you mentioned Laura. How many kids does your old man -have-? damn.." He's joking but really, he thought it was just two. Not that he made an effort to learn.

"Yeah. And the bed is going to need changed." There's more than a bit of blood on the sheets. He doesn't seem upset.

"Alright. Last of the glue.. and you're as patched as I can do. Give it about five minutes and you should be able to go grab a shower without it affecting the adhesion." He scoots back to begin cleaning up. It looks like a crime scene with all the blood and supplies spread all over.
Gabby Kinney "It's fine," Gabby assures while looking from the corner of her eye at him with a faintly amused smile. "I talk about it a lot so it doesn't bother me much when it comes up. It happened. I can't change it."

When he pronounces her done she shifts on the bed again to free her good hand so she can reach up and gingerly inspect the work with light fingertips. As far as she could tell without a mirror it was a good job. It would speed up her healing neatly too. Probably by morning she'd be picking out the stitches. "How many? Well Rien, Dakken and Jimmy are the legitimate kids. Laura's a clone. And Bellona and I are clones of her." A little wry grin comes. "There were ten of us clones, but it's just down to me and Bellona now. And Laura but she's like the OG clone."

Looking back at the sheets she can't help but crinkle her nose a bit. "Sorry, I guess I should have picked the couch. Less chance of soaking into the mattress." Though for all she knew he might have a waterproof cover protecting the mattress itself. That would make sense given how often any of them tended to get injured in the first place.

"Anyway, I'm the youngest of us. Though I'll be eighteen in..." Pausing, she flicks her arm up to glance at the watch on her wrist. "Tomorrow."
Jason Todd Jason Todd blinks. "Wait. Rien? from the Dark team?" He thinks a moment, "I guess that would explain the claws when helping fight off the constructs when we were all helping Jessica.." He pauses, "Guess I better be on good behavior so I don't anger big sis?" He smirks. "At least patching you up will go in my favor I'll hope."

He stands and gathers all the trash, taking it over to toss in a specific bag to be incinerated later along with the gloves. He looks back. "Tomorrow? Well happy bir.. "

He pauses, "-Eighteen-?" He looks at her more closely, even his brain figuring out the math. He shrugs and walks over to get out some clothes for her - some sweat pants and a Gotham Knights hoodie. "If you want to shower, towels are in the bathroom. Here's some things you can put on clean when you're out. Doesn't matter if you happen to bleed on them. Everything here is for an emergency really." He offers a smile and begins to strip the bed.

".. still wouldn't have kicked you out.." he mutters as he begins peeling the sheets off the bed to change it. There, indeed, a casement on the matress. It isn't the first time someone had been patched up after being badly wounded.
Gabby Kinney Gabby Kinney scoots off the edge of the bed to her feet only to pause a moment as she feels the blood rush away from her head. It's a fleeting feeling leaving her dizzy just for a half moment. It passes soon enough allowing her to reach out to accept the small stack of clothes offered over.

"Ah, yeah, eighteen. I've been doing this vigilante and training thing all my life so I feel older than I am. I act as old as I want to though," she adds with a mock hauthiness in case someone calls her on acting like a kid at times.

Letting her expression drop to a genuine grin she starts for the showers. Even while moving away she catches that little remark. "I'll take that as a compliment. Last guy I was really into ended up with Rien and boy that was awkwaaard." Though they'd broken up now. Rather than get into further details she just opts to hop for the shower.

"Thanks! Promise I won't use all the hot water."
