Sam Guthrie Sam Guthrie is here in the kitchen late on a Sunday. He has worked today, but wants something more than a sandwich. So, Sam has gotten things out to make a meatloaf, and now that it is in the oven, he is pealing a few taters, at the counter sitting on a stool.
Razili Darnell     Much like many teens, Razili's sleep schedule is terrible. She's up far too late, and she'll sleep in 'til noon if anyone lets her. The invisible girl is betrayed by a bathrobe hanging open that seems to be moving on its own. She stops. "Oh, hello," she says, her arm raising. "I don't have my glasses and gloves. Do you need me to go get them?" she asks.
Sam Guthrie Sam Guthrie 's brow raises a bit at the robe, but with the voice, and the whole see throughness he is pretty sure he knows who it is. "No it is all good. Razili right?" He has a decent memory but it is best to make sure he is remembering a name right before calling someone it all day.
Razili Darnell     "Yis," the girl says, the positioning of her arms and the fresh bulging of her robe's pockets implying she's pocketed her hands. "I've only seen you once out front," she points out. She hesitates for a moment. "Simon or something?"
Sam Guthrie Sam Guthrie smiles a bit and says "Samuel, but you can call me Sam." He offers and says "So, what has you up and wandering the halls tonight?" He asks her. He peels taters with a practice hand cutting them up as he finishes with each tater and placing them in a bowl of water.
Razili Darnell     "Can't sleep," Razili says. Bare feet move quietly over the floor. Even a mutant with super-hearing would likely have at least a little trouble finding her by sound. She sits at the island in the kitchen and leans over it, elbows up on it as she says, "Aren't you a police officer or something?" she asks. "I'm trying to remember."
Sam Guthrie Sam Guthrie nods his head and says "One of my jobs yea, Ah am part of special units in NYC, the ones who deal with super human and other incidents. but Ah help around here as well, still taking some college classes as well." He offers "Will have some food done in about an hour if your still awake and hungry."
Razili Darnell     Razili is a teen girl. Teenagers are always hungry. "Probably will be," she says. Her robe gets up and moves to the fridge, opening it. A little more of her form is betrayed as she bends over and peers inside. She gets out the milk and walks to get a glass, the door of the fridge closing itself, but she probably used one of her feet. The milk opens itself as Razili's voice says, "Are you getting a lot more work lately? I know super powers are becoming really bad, lately."
Sam Guthrie Sam Guthrie makes a so-so motion with his hand "Well New York has always been a hot bed for it, like Metropolis aint seen a horrible upswing, have encountered a few odd ball lower tier villains trying to make a bit more of a name for themselves." He admits "So, how you fitting in?"
Razili Darnell     Milk fills the glass before the jug moves back down to the luxurious countertop. "I'm not, really," Razili says. "I blend in better, but I fit in worse," she confesses. She sighs. "I don't know. I know Mom probably paid a lot to get me in here, but I don't have any powers; I'm just invisible." The cap puts itself back on the milk before the jug gets hefted up and Razili's robe moves back to the fridge, whereupon the door opens, the milk jug re-enters, and the door closes.
"It's not like nobody's friendly," she says. "I don't know." The glass lifts at the edge of that open robe's sleeve. "The only real friend I've made is a girl I met while wandering around," Raz admits. The glass lifts and tilts back. Instead of spilling all over the floor, though, the milk disappears as soon as it exits the glass, though there's an upper-lip-shaped barrier stopping it from flowing uncontrolled out. Raz chugs the whole glass down, but there's no milk mustache that presents itself when she's done. However, a napkin does get used, and it's milky when it's done being used.
Sam Guthrie Sam Guthrie looks over and says "I am sure you will find more friends as your here, and you may have more abilities than just being invisible, just takes a bit of time and experimenting. With time some peoples ability seem to get more diverse. My best friend when we got here just converted to a different color and had super strength, now he flies, and fires blasts of solar energy."
Razili Darnell     Sam's comments don't really seem to do much to Razili, but even if she had eyes, he wouldn't be able to see them go wide or fall or anything. Invisible. "Yes, well," she says, calmly, "I'm just invisible, and I've been this way since I was born. No flying for me."
Sam Guthrie Sam Guthrie shrugs a bit and says "You never know, but if you want to fly sometimes to see what it is like I can take you up and do a couple laps around the school." He offers. He looks at the time and says "You may want to head on to bed, think might be some of the teachers coming in soon.
Razili Darnell     Razili grumbles. "But you said--" She doesn't finish her protest. The hands go back into those robe pockets, and she is very calm as she says, "Thank you for talking, sir." Then she turns and walks back toward the girl's dorms. It is, after all, a very late night. It's possible she has some kind of test tomorrow. Who knows?
Sam Guthrie Sam Guthrie looks to her and says "Ah will put you a container with your name on it, so you can have some of it for lunch tomorrow." He offers her with a smile, and says "Just a little bit of sixth sense from being here, and don't want ya getting in trouble.
