Morrigan MacIntyre Most people are out power shopping today, but not Morrigan! She wanted to make sure that students were going to have a Thanksgiving, even if it wasn't on the correct day. The blind woman was not able to do a lot of cooking, but she'd managed some of it. Riordan had helped. He'd also taken on his human form today. The tall man with the long black hair and the extensive black celtic tatooing was definitely not a face that had been around before.

But his voice was familiar.

The food is done and set up on the tables. There's plates and silverware, drinks of all kinds and they are probably going to have turkey leftovers for days! There are a good number of students that have turned out for the festivities and some of them have been playing cards and games. There is light holiday music playing in the background just for ambience.
Tommy Shepherd     Truth be told, Tommy actually had somewhere to be on Thanksgiving. Which is the first time that's happened since he first enrolled in Happy Harbor to make up the years of high school he'd already missed. But he's not going to just skip on a chance of getting more food.

That would just be too out of character for him, at this point.

He doesn't, at least, arrive empty-handed. He's clutching a big fancy dish of some kind of baked good that he deposits on the dessert end of the buffet, and then after zips away for a second or two only to return with a hand-written notecard to set in front of it, with the word 'mandelbrot' and a hasty scrawl of potential allergens underneath it. It starts off with just wheat, nuts, and ends up with basically every ingredient, along with a confused question mark next to them as if Tommy was unsure if cinnamon or vanilla extract could potentially be something someone has an allergy to. Because, no, in fact Tommy has no idea.

Soon enough, though, he's working down the line from the other end to fill up a plate, though he pauses with a scoop of mashed potatoes held up halfway between its serving dish and the aforementioned plate. "Have we met before?" he asks, looking at the unfamiliar man with the tattoos with narrowed eyes.
Morrigan MacIntyre Riordan was talking to Morrigan as they were wandering, but when Tommy asks if they've met before the black haired man gives a bit of a smile, "I'm Riordan." he tells the younger man. He doesn't seem to be weird about it. Just a fact.

Morrigan is settled into a chair at one of the tables and she talks into her phone to send a message to someone, but doesn't focus on it too much. There is a smile at the sound of voices, "Rio, no scaring anyone today." the Doctor points out.
Johnny Storm Johnny Storm arrives a bit late, landing casually out front and extinguishing his flames. He's wearing his Fantastic Four jumpsuit, which he doesn't usually wear, but things have been busy over with the team lately and he hasn't gotten to spend as much time at Happy Harbor. So he's making sure to put in an appearance, whether he's wearing his unstable molecules or not.

He makes his way through, pausing to greet his students especially, making his way over and greeting Morrigan, "You heard the lady," he says, reinforcing her point.
Tommy Shepherd     Riordan, the man says. Tommy doesn't know a guy named Riordan, just a dog, so he only looks on skeptically for a second longer before he refocuses on loading up his plate.

And because Tommy is Tommy, he's already eating while going through the line. Don't worry, just a bread roll. A bread roll that nearly kills him as he has a realization mid-swallow and starts choking, though he manages to swallow it down after a tense moment. Then, with tears in his eyes (from the bread, promise) he wheels around to stare after Riordan, mouth agape. Which is the expression he's wearing when one of the Fantastic Four arrive.
Morrigan MacIntyre Riordan chuckles, "Of course, your Highnessness." he states to Morrigan. Then he heads over to fix a plate for the blind woman. Though his head whips up when he hears Tommy start to choke and there's a worried look, "You okay man?" he asks. He didn't mean to spook him. Morrigan also looks worried, "Maybe something went down the wrong way, Tommy? You alright?" she aks.

Then she gives a nod in Johnny's direction (or she hopes it is!), "Mister Storm. Glad you could make it." she tells him with a smile.
Johnny Storm Johnny Storm smiles to Morrigan, "Me, too. Had a quick emergency on a transport ship out in the harbor, had to weld a pretty big hole in the hull shut. Now I just wonder what caused it. Cause, I gotta be honest, I'm no forensics zoologist or anything, but those looked like teethmarks to me," he says, giving a whistle and shaking his head.

He takes her hand to orient her towards him, "How are things going with that situation? Is it permanent or is there still a possibility of recovery?"
Tommy Shepherd     Red-faced (more out of embarrassment than, you know, the almost-dying thing), Tommy lifts a solemn thumbs up to indicate, yep, he's totally fine. He also slinks off into the corner to lick his wounds.

Metaphorically, at least. Not literally, because he isn't so shameless as to lick his plate, even if the green beans are especially delicious this year.
Morrigan MacIntyre Morrigan gives a smile to Johnny, "Sounds like it was an eventful day then. I'm sure that the creature might have just been trying to participate in the half off deals most places are running today." she muses to that. "I take it no one was hurt except for the transport?" she asks him. There is a bit of a jump when she feels someone take her hand, but it is Johnny and she chuckles, "It's something can be fixed, yes. I just..." she remembers she's at a school function, "It's complicated." she finally states. "How was your Thanksgiving?" she asks him.

Riordan looks after Tommy and there is a frown, the Herald wasn't sure what to do. He also didn't want to interrupt the young man and his food. So he goes back to deliver Morrigan's plate to her, careful not to interrupt the conversation going on before he sits back down next to her.
Richard Stadler There's the sound of a cafeteria door opening, and the hasty steps of someone power walking in, in the way that knows he's late and is embarassed by it. Richard at least has two pumpkin pies with him, the store bought, refridgerated kind that, thankfully, hadn't warmed up too much on the loop ride over. "My apologies, folks. Meant to be here a bit earlier, but goddamn if I shouldn't trust a plane to be on time at Cherry. Shouldn't have cut it so close getting back here." He notes, moving to place the pie's on the table and start to remove his jacket. "See some familiar faces, so I'm glad..." He notes, trailing off as he spots Riordan, and furrowing his brow. "Well... mostly familiar. Morrigan, you hiring new teachers for after the break or...?"
Johnny Storm Johnny Storm laughs at Morrigan's joke, "I'll have to tell Ben that one," he says. "No, no injuries, just the loss of some cargo. Caviar I believe. Kind of ironic. Back to the sea. Wait, what kind of fish do caviar come from? Is it a freshwater fish?" Then he realizes he's rambling a bit and clears his throat

He nods to Richard, raising a hand in greeting as he stands there in his FF uniform.
Tommy Shepherd     It's over near the doors that Tommy has taken shelter from his near-death experience. Given that he's trailing after Richard -- or rather, the pies Richard has brought -- he's clearly already recovered. Quick metabolism, and all that.

"That's Riordan," he announces for Richard's benefit. Then, quieter (but also not, like, super quiet... this is Tommy we're talking about here) he adds, "You know, the uh... the dog. Also do you need help carrying anything?"

Do not give him any pies. He will turn into Lex Luthor immediately and take them. And that's terrible.
Morrigan MacIntyre "I'm glad it landed without it being flat." Morrigan states with a laugh. Then she hears Richard and there's a smile, "Mister Stadler, this is Riordan. My assistant." she states. Riordan is definitely the large Tibetan Mastiff that she usually has. So...it might be odd for a man with the name Riordan showing up.

"I'm her Majesties Herald, actually." he points out. "But...I guess we can call it assistant." he states. He gives an apologetic look to Tommy, not wanting to weird him out or anything. Then he goes to get himself a plate so that he can eat.

Morrigan gives a bit of a look in the direction of Johnny, "There's a lot of different fish that are used for Caviar. There are Salmon and others." the Irish woman states.
Richard Stadler The pies, sadly, are not given to Tommy for thanks on the 10 or so seconds to process more incresingly strange drek life is throwing at them. There is a very quick nod, and a "Thank you, abut I've got them,", before the pies are places on the table and generally left unsupervised for Tommy's darker demons to decide a course of action with.

So at least Stadler has time to process 'assistant', and extend a hand over to him as a prefunctionary greeting, before nodding once more. "Good to meet you, sir. Should I inquire on why you're calling Doctor MacIntyre here 'Her Majesty', or is there a monarchy out there that has a very odd susscesion line I /really/ should know more about?"

And Jhonny gets a bit of a look in the full uniform. "Ahh." He says, before reaching into his pocket, and pulling out his phone. "Sorry, just..." He says, typing something into it, and pausing. "Okay. Yep. That tracks. More superheros. You know I had a really good offer from a parochial school in West Central Park when I first started down here. A normal one." He sighs, before moving to start making himself a plate. "You'd let me know if Superman's kid was here, right, Doctor?"
Johnny Storm Johnny Storm looks down at himself, "Oh, you're right. Sorry," he says. He presses a button on the collar and the unstable molecules reconfigue, shifting texture and 'fabric', being remolded into a pre-programmed design. In this case, a SPEED RACER t-shirt, jeans, sneakers, a Smart watch from no manufacture anybody else has access to.

"You know I teach here, right? Well, I guess that's my own fault, my other life has taken precedent in recent weeks. As has my personal life. But I intend to be back and at 'em when the new semester starts. Provided you'll still have me, of course?" he says, looking over at Morrigan.
Tommy Shepherd     Curses, foiled again. Now Tommy can only take a single slice because... well, some nefarious rules of engagement of pie thievery, who knows. But it's only seconds after Richard has set them down that Tommy is once again standing next to him, and he's even found whipped cream to top his pie with.

"That's the Human Torch," he says, because apparently he's being helpful today (when not dreaming of baked-good burglary) and also, the Fantastic Four has the kind of storied history that even Tommy knows of. Despite his own self-professed ignorance of most superhero types (also maybe because Johnny might have been his teacher at one point, given the timelines).

Then he takes a massive bite of pie. Omnomnom.
Morrigan MacIntyre Morrigan was quietly eating, because being without sight meant that finding ones mouth became harder for some reason. She does give a look in the direction of Richard's voice and there is a gentle frown, "It's nothing, Mister Stadler." she tells him in response to her title. "Riordan's used to using my other titles. He's not used to human society with needing to keep some things unsaid." she chuckles.

Riordan gives a sniff, "She's one of the Queens of the Underworld and I am her herald. What else should I call her in public?" he asks as he looks around. "Oh well." he sighs. Then he takes a big bite of turkey, "Guess I'll keep it to ourselves." he mutters as he chews.

Johnny's words make her chuckle, "We're always happy to have you, Mister Storm. I assure you." she tells him. "I've been trying to get King T'Challa to make another speaking engagement here as well, so keep fingers crossed that he agrees." she grins. Then she listens to Richard again, "I didn't know that he had a son, but I don't think he goes here, no. Is the...is it overwhelming?" she asks him.
Richard Stadler Richard Stadler nods briefly to Tommy, "Thank you, Mr. Shepard." The Internet had answered that one in a hurry, but students should at least get a bit of credit for helping. And that's why Rick happens to look the other way when there's a very large slice of pie taken. Not that Rick could stop Tommy if he just disappeared, ate the pies, and returned the pie tins..

Rick can accept the technology that allows a costume change inside of 40 seconds, at least. And he's not so lost to snark that he can't offer an apology of sorts. "And... intellectually, yes, I do recall you from the directory... I suppose it's one thing to see someone in civilian clothes and another looking as if they walked out of a front page photo of the Times or Wikipedia. Sorry for the shock. What was the subject you were teaching?" He notes.

And to Morrigan, Stadler raises his eyebrows when she remarks that it's simply nothing and then describes that she has... other titles. To which Riordan, the Herald and talking dog, provides additional information. "I... well. Queen of the Underworld. I'll keep that in mind. I do hope you're still okay with Doctor, though," He says, staking a plate with turkey and having enough time to geasture to Riordan to the serving fork, "You should consider operational security. Titles in a public place could make her a target."

With that, a little bit of the pumpkin pie he brough, before he moves over to the table. "At least the King I recall seeing spoke here when I was doing research... and honestly, if Superman had a son or daughter, I'd suspect I'd know about it one day by taking attendence. It's..." he pauses for a moment. "Slightly. More of a high level type, honestly. I suppose there are a lot of normal people that get pressed into being around heroes and magic and what not, and it's always a period of adjustment from the sort of things I'm used to."
Johnny Storm Johnny Storm makes a show of wiping his brow, "Whew. Takes a load off my mind," he says to Morrigan. He shakes his head towards Richard, "Oh, no, no apologies needed, my man. Believe me, I'm happier not to be recognized these days. Don't get me wrong, I love the people who support us and...grew up with us," he says, stretching his collar with a finger. "But sometimes it's nice just to be a...mostly regular guy. Now, I hate to stop and run, but I have to get back so we can see about tracking that sea whosiwhatsit. I just wanted to stop in. Good to see everybody!"
Tommy Shepherd     "Queen of the Underworld is a pretty sick title though, you gotta admit," Tommy chimes in, because that is somehow easier for him to handle than Riordan the dog being Riordan the man with tattoos and nice hair.

He takes another bite of pie, smaller this time around, and then points to the container of mandelbrot on the table. "I brought this from my--uh... my brother's family Thanksgiving," he says, and then realizes very quickly that Morrigan can't see him pointing, so he delivers a plate to her with two of the cookies on it. "Anyway, thanks for feeding me all these years, Doctor MacIntyre."
Morrigan MacIntyre "We aren't scolding you, Rio." Morrigan points out quickly. "It's a lot to get used to, I know." she tells him. Riordan gives a look to Richard and there is a soft nod, "I understand. Probably should keep the titles to myself." he tells the man. Then there is a smile to Tommy and Richard, "I'm sorry that it's all weird sometimes. When I was brought back I ended up becoming the Morrigan. Someday the trio might be back. But for now I'm in their place." she admits.

"I'm thankful that I have you all. Or I don't really know where I would be right now." she add. Then there's a smile to Tommy, "I will continue to feed you whenever you need it as well, Tommy. You just let me know." she tells the young man.
Richard Stadler Richard Stadler does seem to have come to an understanding with Johnny, then, offering a quick nod to the man. "Glad to hear it. I can certainly... well. Maybe not understand, but I can agree that being lost in the background noise can be a pleasure, some time. Good luck out there." He notes, before looking over to Tommy. "Not a bad title, certainly. Maybe for a band. It's one of those things that'd either be impressive, frightening, or pretentious depending on the circumstances surrounding it. Definitely impressive with Docotr MacIntyre, certainly." He notes, before moving to take a small bit of mandelbrot, observing it closely. "Looks like a cookie. Always happy to have something new, in this case.

And Riordan and Morrigan get a wave of the hand. "Honestly, this is a bit of a coping mechanism. I'm sure I'll adapt one of these days, but my shock isn't your problem. Glad to simply have you here, Doctor, no matter the status... though I do hope you'll be able to see my expressions of incredulity some day soon. They're probably quite entertaining." He smiles (not that Morrigan can see it), before Rio gets a nod. "Sadly, I haven't done any... personal protection. Just a little common sense goes a long way."
Tommy Shepherd     Because food is not something Tommy says no to, even though food items are generally inanimate objects, because he's given two mandelbrot to Morrigan that means he should have two himself, right?

"It's a Jewish cookie, I think. I, uh... still working that out myself." He stares off into the distance, vaguely uncomfortable, before he shakes his head. "They're like biscotti but way better. Once I get an apartment with an oven, I'm going to learn how to make them myself. And by then hopefully you won't have to worry about making sure I eat."

He has nothing to add about the whole Morrigan thing, mostly because he has no idea what any of that is, so he just continues eating.
