Rave A fancier place than some of the other venues Rave had worked, but it actually wasn't the first time she'd been to the Purgatory Night club. Of course, she -was- actually 21 now, but still her agent had been insistant that one couldn't beat the frankly outlandish pay they were willing to offer the neon bluenette. Still, fancy folk or not when the music had got going and she'd started singing? Well, the crowd had got moving all the same and Rave had to admit it was just as fun as it always was.

The outed meta had sung, played music, even produced her own little light-show thanks to her powers..but eventually things had come to an end.

A little sheen of sweat from the hours of effort, the girl dressed in her usual skirt, thigh-high socks and fishnet shirt over a bikini top to very much look like her namesake made to blow a kiss to the crowd and finally head off-stage.

She needed a break!
Cassandra Cain There's a crowd, because of course there's a crowd. Big one even, and it seems that the standards have been slightly slipped tonight. Big cost to get in the door, but none of the usual background checks. In fact, it's almost as if this is a crowd of PEOPLE and not a bunch of walking bankrolls! Impossible, but somehow true!

That's not to say that there aren't many dancing out there who are in the twelve-figure range, but this is a chance to blend in, to be a normal person. And Rave's music is the icing on the cake. No knives or guns though. That'd be gauche.

That doesn't mean that there can't be issues though, as a few prove by the front door. They nudge security, and there's a struggle. It draws attention, and lets a small other group...slip into the backstage area. It'd go unnoticed if not for one young lady, in a black one-piece dress, who watches them go inside.

"Take whatever you can," one guy says to the rest. They don't notice Rave until just after they've spoken, getting ready to ransack the Hellfire Club. Not smart, but they do look determined. And draw out weapons. Nothing metal, but you can be scary without metal.

"Bad timing, chickie."
Rave There were plenty of people who only knew Rave for her music, even with her love of social media....but there were also those who would follow what she effectionately called the 'hero feed', the account where she posted selfies of some of her speedster hyjinks, meetings with heroes and other success. It didn't take much for the girl with the glowing hair to guess they were probably not followers of that second one.

She was headeed for a bottle of water when the threat came, Rave giving a little groan and rolling her shoulders rather than...y'know, screaming like one might expect. "Are you freaking kidding me?" she questions before looking about. Throwing lasers around in a place like this was probably a good way not to get invited back, so she'd have to wait till they got close...
Cassandra Cain So, looking at the group of baddies, Rave gets to see one cool thing.

There's a little lady behind them. She looks kinda muscled, like a girl who keeps herself fit, and she meets the other girl's eyes. Black dress, one piece. Nothing special, maybe Chinese.

They haven't seen her yet, and they...don't? It's weird, but she stands behind one of them as he draws a weapon. Then he turns, as if having heard something behind him, and she stays behind him, where his line of sight would not intersect.

That puts her in the middle of the group, and she reaches out and touches another one on the shoulder. Just a touch, and it causes him to turn and look. She walks behind him, as well, staying just low enough to not be seen by the other ones, his body blocking vision.

Then she walks between two others, and without being seen by any of them, at all, she's walked through the group and right up to Rave. To the baddies, she just appeared out of nowhere when they turned their heads for a second.

She looks kind of bored. "Need...help?"

"What the &@#!" comes from the guys, as they lose the surprise round.
Rave Okay...that was neat. Certainly Rave could probably get into somewhere unseen...-ish, thanks to her speed. Of course, she also had glowing blue hair so stealth was somewhat limited as an option. Giving a little giggle dispite herself at the demonstration, the neon-bluenette stretches her arms over her had before flashing the girl a smile. "Maybe not..but everything is better with company, right?" she questions before her glossed lips pull into a smile and she lifts a hand towards the mooks. "So..you -could- drop the weapons and leave, just figure I should offer that option."
Cassandra Cain Two of the guys look down, and don't even HAVE their weapons anymore. The asian girl is holding them, having done something in passing. She really is quite good, apparently.

But then, the leader says, "Go. Take what you can. I'll handle these two." And...they do? The bad guys split into side-rooms, while the one guy stays there, facing girl-with-arms-raised and the pickpocket.

Either he's really dumb or really powerful.

"You won't stop us. Know why? Because we're the good guys, and the good guys always win."

Okay, that was unexpected..
Rave "Yeah see...good guys don't threaten bystanders,"Rave offers, then there's a streak of neon light and the man would find himself tripping backwards as he was shoved and swept at the same time. The moment he collapsed at the ground, Rave was simply standing there, her foot placed on his chest and a grin on her lips. "So you should really rethink ruining my night!"

Eyes lifting towards the side rooms, she tilts her head to look at the pickpocket questioningly. If she'd seen Cass before...it would have only been in mask after all.

"You want to stay with our friend here or split the others?"
Cassandra Cain She isn't really doing a lot. The laser beams made her eyes open a bit wider, but that's about all. Hunching down next to Rave and her captive (ish?) she gives a little shrug. Then, looking at the DJ in the eyes, she gives a little nod, and then stands back up.

That motion alone looks like a dancer's. Like dancers would kill for that level of poise, and grace. But she walks to a side room like a teenager with nothing better to do with her afternoon. Such mixed signals!

When she walks into the room, it quickly goes quiet inside. Apparently the left side is all yours!
Rave Odds are things would go quickly, who knows what Cass would get up to with the mooks she had to deal with, but Rave blows the man on the floor a little mock kiss before she vanishes in a streak of neon light towards the room on the left, passing through the door. It wasn't likely to be as elegant or refined as Cass, even with Canary having trained Rave up...but super speed probably made up the difference.

One quick application of duct tape later and a little 'nudge' to security, Rave would be sitting aside after a moment, finally having found a bottle of water.
Cassandra Cain The door that Cass went through opens. She walks out, her dress having ridden up a little, and pauses by Rave. She scritches her head a little, looking like she's just done her makeup rather than done violence. Then she looks at Rave and gives a small headtilt toward her, her eyebrows raising questioningly.

Not much a talker this one.
Rave A grin and a beckon, Rave jerks her head towards the dressing room that had been set aside for her while security moves to clean up the aftermath. Sipping her bottle of water post the invitation she looks over her shoulder at Cass before moving through her doorway and towards her couch, dropping down to lounge on it with a content sigh.
Cassandra Cain She just does not look like much, this one. She walks into the dressing room, looking around like she's never been in one before, as the sound of security coming into the hallway is drowned out by the door shutting behind them.

The room looks nice, after all, but nothing that Rave hasn't seen before. It's like watching a kid trying not to reach out and touch things. Cass kind of brushes past some art that the HFC put in, and it chimes at her. She pauses, then grins at the sound it made.
Rave "Thanks for coming to my rescue," Rave offers lightly, stretching out and smoothing her skirt to remain decent before tilting her head to the side at the quiet girl. She seemed familier and she clearly had skills, but maybe she simply reminded her of some of the other birds, like Huntress or one of the Batgirls. Certainly, she didn't seem to talk much.

"I'm Rave by the way," introduction is offered, no assumption made that Cass simply knew who she was for the show or her own minor celebrity status.
Cassandra Cain Cass is leaning toward the art chime and poking at it, trying to make certain sounds, when Rave starts talking. She turns her head, watching Rave talk. Watching intently, her entire focus on Rave. Until she stops, when she turns back and pokes the sculpture once more. C-sharp, nice.

Then the girl turns, her entire body addressing Rave directly. She gives a little curtsy, but doesn't open her mouth to speak. She clearly -can- speak, she did so earlier. But it sounded...reluctant? Or something like that. Yes, a curtsy.

Tilting her head then, she seems to be waiting for Rave to talk more. Either she herself has nothing worth saying, or she figures that what Rave says is more important. Hard to tell without further input really.
Rave It probably was a little tricky, but then Rave wasn't exactly the silent type. Hell, she was kinda the Antithesis! Still, rolling onto her side lightly and propping her head up with one hand while her elbow rested against the couch there was a consideration from the bluenette. "Are you like...a club member here or did you just come out for the fun of it? Hopefully the show was fun, if not the 'afterparty' we just had."
Cassandra Cain She looks at Rave, watching very carefully. Then, she does something a bit odd. She taps herself on the ears. Deaf? Hearing impaired? Or something like that, from the way that she doesn't talk. Maybe for all her skills she's got some issues of her own.

But then why be at the club?
Rave Deaf? No...that didn't quite make sense. Instead Rave straightens up a little, brushing one of those bangs of luminescent blue behind her own ear and biting her lip in thought. "Did you come to the place to...check it out? See what you could learn?" Careful Rave, your vigilante is showing!

"Or...to hear me perform?"
Cassandra Cain That gets a smile. The asian girl nods, almost shyly. So she did come to hear the show! Well, that's nice. But then, she leans over and looks out the door. Cracking it open, she looks serious for a moment. Then she turns and runs toward the back room.

And the door opens, just as Cass is exiting through a back window. Security comes in, knocking first in case Rave was changing, but worried. "Are you alright miss?"

But they don't see the quiet girl leave.
