Morrigan MacIntyre It's chilly and rainy this evening in Happy Harbor, but the smell of Spring is in the air and that is a welcome thing. Morrigan had been doing some pre-Spring cleaning as she was feeling restless. Occam was helping by making sure that anything that she moved he jumped on and weighed it down. Soon it was time to take a break for the evening and to grab food. But Morrigan decided that maybe she should check in on Balder first.

She found her phone and sent the God of Light a text that read: I was about to decide on dinner, but wanted to see if you were available and to catch up?

With that sent she returned to tidying up the parlor and shaking out the curtains to see if they needed to be changed with the rest of the linens around.
Balder The changing seasons on Midgard had always fascinated Balder - not to mention the diversity of the climates. He'd been at a cafe, sipping a coffee and peering up at the sky - all the while sheltered by a big table umbrella. As his phone chimed next to him, he glanced over and grinned. The reply was quick and easy enough to type out.

"Should I bring anything?" He taps out, leaving a bit of cash for the coffee on the table. He slowly got to his feet, pocketing his phone and looking about. It was lovely in Seattle this time of year.
Morrigan MacIntyre Morrigan was always a bit surprised when he returned her texts. She was sure he had better things to do than entertain a stick in the mud, but it made her smile anyways. "Surprise me?" she texted back. Honestly she wasn't sure if that was a good idea to tell him.

But that ship had sailed.

Meanwhile she had started to gather a few things into a box that she was setting aside for donations and dropping off at a collector. It was all just a waiting game now.
Balder "It will be a bit, but I shall be by with a dessert." That's the text she gets back. Balder steps away from the more public areas - a quick jaunt of teleportation to the outskirts of town. Then there's a flash from Bifrost, and the first leg of his trip is done. There was a quick stop by the palace kitchen, where he picked up some sweets to bring back with him. Asgardian sweet rolls!

About a half hour later, he's arcing back towards Earth - landing outside of the city proper. Then another casting of a teleportation jump, and he's at her front door.

There's a knock on her door, the sweet rolls covered in a silver cloche.
Morrigan MacIntyre "Please take your time." Morrigan had replied back to him. She wasn't going to rush the man. Though she'd went ahead and made an order for food, because at this point she was not wanting to cook and a nice steak might just do the trick for making her feel better. And Balder could have one as well!

Occam trills happily when the knock on the door sounds. Like he knows who is on the other side. "Your friend is here, yes." she muses to that as she hurries to get the door. She opens it to see the large man with the cloche and there's this silly smile that comes to her face, "What...are those?" she asks him. Then she's stepping aside to let him in. "I wasn't sure how you liked your steak so I went with medium and hoped that it was alright." she adds.
Balder A smile from Balder as he steps in. "Asgardian sweet rolls. Cinnamon, honey and sweet cream icing." He explains, setting the cloche down on a table to allow him to offer scritches to Occam. "Medium should be just fine. How have you been, Morrigan?" He asks, looking up to her as he scritches the big cat under the chin.

"Things are going well, I hope? The school and the godhood and all?" A wry grin from the man as he returns to standing.
Morrigan MacIntyre "Those sound delicious." Morrigan tells him. Then she gives him a look, "Did you go all the way to Asgard to get those?" she quirks an eyebrow at him as she asks this. Occam is happy as a clam to be adored. Such a traitor. "I've been alright. Happy that Spring is on the way." she admits. "School and everything else has been rather quiet." she states.

"Not that I'm complaining. I'd rather it be a bit quiet than people shooting at us and things." she muses.

"And how have you been? Any luck with finding your brother and things?" she asks him.
Balder "Aye, I did. I had to check in on Frigga, make sure everything is doing well with her. She worries after Father, of course." He mentions, regarding a jaunt to Asgard. Occam is more than welcome to rub against Balder's ankles, of course. "Spring... the time of renewal and new life, aye? Quiet can be good - much better than tumultuous, in fact." Balder nods, amused at her similar view on being shot at.

"The search continues - Loki is handling the throne as we continue to try to locate Thor. And with the Dark Elves and Gods being slain..." A slight shrug. "Things are in the air, as Midgardians say."
Morrigan MacIntyre Morrigan gives a soft smile when he mentions Frigga, "Do you Asgardian's call your parents by their first names usually?" she asks him. "I'm just curious is all, I'm learning the culture as I go." she adds with a bit of a smile. "And I know you don't want to give too much away to someone you hardly know, so I understand not telling people all the things." she points out.

"I hope that he is found whole and healthy. The world is a bit of a mess right now and we could use him and others back." she nods to that. "Come and eat before it gets cold." she tells him and offers a hand to him without thinking on it. "It's steak, roasted potatoes and salads. I figured that meat and potatoes would not be a miss." she muses to that.
Balder Balder chuckles. "When I am speaking of her to another, sometimes." He admits, a bit sheepishly. "When I am speaking to her, she is mother." He explains. "Among others, I tend to use her name so that they know who they are hearing of - she is a power in her own right, and should be respected by name." A nod.

There's another nod, the man sighing a bit - perhaps a bit of weariness on his frame. "It is. The Realms are moving along as can be expected, troubles and all." A slight smile at the explanation of the food. "I think that sounds wonderful, the meal. Thank you for inviting me. I do hope you enjoy the sweet rolls, they are a favorite of mine at banquets."
