Eabha Aine Sitting in the garage, Eabha Aine sent a quick little text message to Evan and asked, if he had time, if he could join her there. She had originally planned to have a big party, invite all her friends from Dalton, cake and ice cream... but it all fell through. One reason... humans don't really get to know about Xavier's, but the primary reason, the rumors about why she left Dalton had done their circulating and none of her so called friends, were any more.

Living in the world she did, a model, wealthy parents, being wealthy in her own right, she'd learned that friends come and go, but it was something of a blow to learn just how petty teenagers could be. Now she had made new plans, and while she was waiting to complete the O'Leary family traditions (the dealership hadn't arrived with the gift yet), she intended to take Evan for a joy ride on her motorcycle.
Evan Sabahnur     Evan comes into the garage through a side door and looks around before spotting Eabha, which actually takes a moment given the size of the place. Heading over to her, he waves once she spots him, waiting until he was closer before saying, "Hi Eabha, what's up?"

He glances at a few of the cars before reaching her, because they're an assorted lot, ranging from old classics to the newest electric vehicles, with quite the variety between them. He doesn't pause to look at any of them because that would be rude when she's standing there waiting for him. He stops beside her, looking over the motorcycle she's standing by. "That's nice, is it yours?"
Eabha Aine As Evan approaches a broad smile spreads across their face and they stand up a little straighter. Presently dressed in a pair of jeans with black leather knee boots laced in place, along with a fleece lined leather jacket, they look winterized and ready.

"This is in fact ours," they reply, then offer him a dark green motorcycle helmet with face shield. "We want to take you for a ride, maybe even teach you how to drive it yourself if you want... and well, want to go at all."
Evan Sabahnur     Taking the offered helmet with a smile he nods, "Cool, I've never been on a motorcycle before. You'll have to let me know what to do, I've seen enough tv and movies that I know some leaning is involved somewhere along the way." He puts the helmet on, adjusting the chin strap to fit properly and says "There, that's the safety part done so we're to the instruction part."

He manages not to look too dorky standing there with the helmet on already as he waits for her to go over the things he'll have to do to keep the bike balanced and not send them skidding down the pavement.
Eabha Aine Picking up the other helmet, Eabha Aine pulls it onto her head and straps it in place. For now the face plate is up so he can see the smile on their face.

"Okay, the first and most important thing about being on a motorcycle... do not be afraid or embarrassed to really hold on to us," they explain, then drop the face plate down. "The second part is that if we lean, you lean with us."

He could hear her voice perfectly through a small headset in the helmets, one of the benefits of being rich, you can buy the best toys.

With that part explained, she swings her leg over and stands the bike up. "Okay, climb on behind us and we'll do a little balance practice."
Evan Sabahnur     Evan gets onto the back of the bike, settling into place without much difficulty. He is a touch surprised when their voice comes from inside the helmet, but for the moment just asks, "Is the comm system just automatic or do I have to do something? I'm assuming automatic, since having the press a button when you're moving would be a pain in the ass."

He puts his hands on her waist, asking "Is this good, or do you have a way you'd be more comfortable with?"
Eabha Aine Eabha Aine giggles, which Evan can hear clearly outside the helmet and through the speaker. "You'll want to figure out for yourself how much you want to hold on," she then says, and again he can hear it both places. "It's important that you don't fall off, are comfortable, and we really don't want to get squeezed to death either... so we practice."

Adjusting the Ducati a little, using their legs to maintain the balance for the moment, they lean one way just a little to give Evan a moment of practice in leaning. She then goes the other way, not quickly, nice and slow, do he can start to get a real feel. "Once we start moving, slower speeds are the most difficult to maintain, but we'll drive around the school grounds a few times to give you a chance to adjust before we actually go out and do street speeds," they then say, sitting their butt on the seat, while balancing the bike still. "You ready to give a try."
Evan Sabahnur     Evan leans into the practice, since that's the whole point. It's fairly intuitive, if she leans, then he leans the same amount. Or at least it's intuitive while being practiced while not moving. But there's only one way to figure out if he's got the knack of it, and that is to try.

"Ok, that seems pretty basic, I just have to make sure not to lean further than you or I imagine I'll dump us over. Let's try a little run around the school like you said."

He doesn't hold on for dear life or anything, but makes sure he's got a decent hold on her waist.
Eabha Aine Starting the bike up, Eabha Aine makes the quick check of all systems, a short check to ensure everything is working even though they already knows it is. They promised their father they'd do it every time the key went into the ignition, and they always kept their promises.

The practice leans had made them pretty confident he understood, and then he flat out said he got it. "Yep, that's exactly it," they confirmed, and though he doesn't see the smile he could hear the cheer in the tone. "You'll be a natural at this if you've grasped that much and... you haven't squeezed us to death like Aine's friend Marshel did, that boy was a whimp."

Evan wasn't blessed with hearing the argument that then took place between the twins over Marshel. Aine had fancied him at one time, and wanted to show off, but Eabha could never stand the loser, which obviously made for some /really/ messed up socializations.

Duck walking, and the move was called, the motorcycle out of the garage, even with the argument (now one sided, Aine still whining about it while Eabha concentrated) still going, Eabha lifted her feet as she engaged the motor to the slowest, yet safest speed a motorcycle could do... which wasn't all that slow, but was definitely better than 80mph.

"Just let me know if you want me to stop," Eabha said, and now it became clear why the helmets had speakers that adjusted to the ambient noise levels.
Evan Sabahnur     Not being privy to the mental argument, Evan helps walk the cycle outside, then picks his feet up and puts them on the pegs. The motorcycle pulls forward slowly and at this speed at least, he's fine. No panic, no bone crushing grip around the waist. At least at idle speeds, this seems to work.

"Ok, this is pretty cool. I'm guessing from the looks of this thing that you can seriously break the speed limits around here. Maybe do one more slow turn and I think I'm ready to move out to the actual road."

So far, he's leaned correctly on the slow turns, so hopefully he'll get it right out on the street.
Eabha Aine In the end, Eabha won the argument with Aine by stating mentally, 'Marshel doesn't talk to us any more, Evan does, suck it up, shut up and enjoy the moment already!!!'

To Evan however, there is nothing but rosiness and cheer as she says, "Hey now, we think you're a natural Evan!" and clearly means it. She moves around the winding driveway exactly two times, once down to the road, then back up to the garage.

"The Ducati Streetfighter V4 is one of the fastest street legal, two seaters out there," they commented as they made the last turn at the garage and started back toward the street. "We're more than willing to break the speed limits out there, just let us know if you want to, other wise will top out at legal speed."
Evan Sabahnur     Evan chuckles as they head for the street. "Let's stay with a little bit slower pace until I get used to it. After that, we'll see how it goes."

Given the design of the bike, once they start moving a little faster and Eabha settles down into driving position, Evan ends up leaned a bit forward too, pressing lightly against her back. His grip on her waist doesn't change though, apparently the higher speed isn't bothering him.

"Must be nice to have your own vehicle and be able to go places when you want. I had to take the bus into town last time I wanted to go. It's not terrible, but kind of annoying to have to come and go on their schedule."

As Eabha speeds up on the street, she can't see the smile on his face, but it's there nonetheless. He seems to be enjoying himself so far.
Eabha Aine With no specific destination in mind, other than maybe a place for a burger and fries, Eabha Aine just relaxes into driving position, keeps to legal speeds and just plain enjoys the freedom. Sure, there were lots of parents out there who would likely have a melt down over the idea of two seventeen year old people out on a highway on a motorcycle... not their parents. For moment she wondered about Evan's parents, then suddenly was giggling about something.

"We have a couple of cars are well," they explained, not having to yell thanks to the communication capabilities of the helmets. "But we thought a motorcycle would be easier to store at the school... remind me some time to show you our garage in New York, I mean... if you want to see it."

Even though she was talking she was trying to hold back giggling, his comment about the bus... he had no idea about the O'Leary birthday traditions and what was coming his way, and that made it all the better.

"In the city we would take the bus or the subway from time to time," they continued, spotting a sign for a Big Belly Burger's two exits away, she determines that will be the stopping place. "You want a burger while we're out?"
Evan Sabahnur     "A couple? Oh, that's right, you're a fashion model, guess that would explain being able to afford that kind of thing. And sure, I'd like to see your garage when we have some time off from school." He laughs quietly and adds, "I like cars, keep a list in my head of what cars to get when I win the lottery. So basically never, given the probabilities of winning the lottery."

Since he hasn't spent a lot in the past month or two, his monthly money from his parents has been building up in his account and is easily enough to get some food out. "Sure, burger sounds like a plan. I've been eating at the school, the food is good, but every once in a while you want something that just isn't that healthy for you."

He's been riding comfortably behind her, grip still just enough to keep himself in place. Truth be told, he's doing things he isn't even aware of, not just leaning, but shifting body mass to balance them through the turns.
Eabha Aine There is a splash of a daredevil lurking in Eabha Aine, the only indication of it presently being the willingness to move in and out of traffic at the top speeds for the highway. If they were on one of the dirt bikes, and on a track, then the real daredevil would show up, or perhaps adrenaline chaser was more the accurate term.

"Spring break is coming up," they state, moving around a slower moving minivan with what looks like an entire soccer team in the back and a really, really strung out, tired looking soccer mom driving. "What you planning for that?"

This time it was around a green SUV with spinner hub caps, obviously someone over compensating for something some where in their lives. "We usually do our modeling on summer and winter breaks," she goes on with, heading off the highway now, the Big Belly Burger sign explaining why. Obviously she slows down as well, which may be depressing, but burger....

"The food at the school is actually /way/ better than we thought it would be. I love the mac and cheese with bacon, and Aine is crazy over the sweet tea that's always in the fridge."
Evan Sabahnur     "Yeah, the school really is a pretty classy place. Just no comparison to public school at all. And yeah, that mac and cheese rocks, and I guess that honestly, it's not all that healthy, but most of the stuff they serve is fairly well balanced and tasty. Spring Break? No real plans, probably going to stay at the school. Not really worth going home and having to come back a week later. We've got a lake for swimming and boating, tennis courts, basketball, a rec room, really a bunch of ways to keep busy without having to deal with drunken frat boys."

By the time they pull into the Big Belly parking lot, his body mass has returned to where it all should be. The only slight hint she may have gotten is that the bike was balanced perfectly, as if she didn't have another person on there at all.

Maybe he's just a natural bike rider.
Eabha Aine Pulling into a parking spot near the door, not one of the handicap spots, it isn't until they've some to a stop and his mass returns to normal that Eabha Aine seems to catch on. The sudden adjustment does it, allowing her to realize that the entire trip had been waaaaay to easy for a newbie.

"That was awesome Evan," they state as they balance the bike and turn off the engine. "How did you do that? It's like you weren't even there and suddenly now, bam, you are again. Made driving /really/ easy, and balance was just like you weren't even there."

Using their foot to put the kick stand in place, they reaches to pull off their helmet then look back at him. He can see the blue eyes sparkling at him, a broad smile on her carefully painted lips, and the pure joy and excitement on her face. "We're supposed to visit our parents one night in New York City," they then say. "Would you like to come with us?"
Evan Sabahnur     Evan is already removing his helmet as well when she talks about the ride being easy, so she can see the confusion on his face when he asks, "What do you mean? I was leaning into the turns like you said, but other than that I wasn't doing anything. Could it be a balance thing or something? I've always had really good balance, you kind of have to when your parents are cavers. Lots of small ledges and such when you're making your way down into a cavern."

A moment or two later her question catches up to his brain which was thinking about balance, and he blinks, "Really? Sure, I'd like that. Nothing wrong with getting away from the school for a day or two even though it is a nice place."

He tucks the helmet under his arm, as he's pretty sure the commlink enabled helmets do not stay outside with the bike.
Eabha Aine Their own helmet gets tucked under an arm as well, because Evan was right... you don't leave something that expensive out in the open. "It was more than balance," they say in response, already heading toward the entrance to the Big Belly. "Once we parked, we felt it. On the road it felt like you weren't even there, and then suddenly as we parked, you were full mass again. So... if you didn't realize you were doing it, then it's uh... something new?" There was the excitement again in her tone, over the idea of learning something new that Evan could do, but also over being there as it happened.

"Our parents always let us bring friends to 'family get togethers' because usually what happens is it starts out as a family thing, then one of both of my parents get beeped to go see a patient and it's a solo venture for me," she explains as the door is opened and they walk inside. "Sometimes they manage to get to visit for a while before it happens, but inevitably it happens, and that's okay. My parents are very passionate about their work."
Evan Sabahnur     Evan looks down at himself for a moment, then back to her. "That's weird. I mean, all I thought I was doing was leaning like you said to. I'm not even sure what I could have been doing to make the ride better. All I've ever done is change my arms and hands, and I don't think that would make the balance better."

He follows her in, holding the door for a woman carrying multiple bags of food out. Once he releases the door, he heads for the counter, already looking up at the menu to try and decide what he's going to get today.

"I think I'm gonna splurge a little and get the Double Deluxe, fries and a shake too." He smiles, adding "Might as well make it a proper day out."

When she explains about her parents he nods and says, "Ok, that makes sense. No reason to be sitting home alone if they have to get called in. At least they realize it and let you bring someone. A lot of parents probably wouldn't even think that through."
Eabha Aine Although they were listening as Evan spoke, they went straight to the counter to look at the menu. Most people who look at a girl with her athletic body type with perfect proportions and believe she has to eat healthy, all the time. The stigmata that models share a Life Saver candy for lunch, then vomited it up later still hung heavy in the world. For some that was the truth, some agencies out there wanted pencil thin girls, one pound over the limit and they were banned from photo shoots until they lost it again.

For Eabha Aine however, none of that was true. Since the day of their joining they had been built perfectly and no amount of sugar, snacks, or junk food changed it. They still tried to eat healthy most of the time, to maintain the image that they were working to maintain the 'perfect body' but the truth remained that really, they did nothing to look perfect all the time.

"Maybe on the way back we'll focus more on it, see if it's something you just... do," they comment, their tongue poking out the side of their mouth for a moment as the menu is looked over thorough. Finally she says, "Double Deluxe with bacon and extra cheese, large onion rings, a chocolate strawberry milkshake, and a bottle of water."

Now her attention goes back to Evan, and the smile reappears on her face. "My parents have always been here, there, and over there, and this country and that country," she says with a shrug. "They've known our whole life that this was what they would be doing, and sometimes we got to go with them. When we were seven, before..." she pauses there, looking around at the number of people then decides to be careful about it. "Just, before... they both donated three months of time in Africa with International Medical Relief, through Doctor's Without Borders. We got to go with them. They may be plastic surgeons, but they are also doctors... had to learn it all to get where they are... want to sit by the window?"
Evan Sabahnur     Ordering his food, he listens to Eabha and nods, "Yeah, I'd kind of be interested to find out more about it myself. It'd be kinda cool to have more I can do, you know?" He isn't as careful as she is about talking about powers. After all, when you have grey skin with patterns on your face and red eyes, it's really not what you say that gives people the hint that you might be a mutant.

"Sure, a window seat is always nice. It's really good of your folks to do that kind of thing, way too many people with money seem to just focus on themselves and what they want, and not how they could help people. It must have been pretty cool to travel, though I suppose the places you ended up weren't exactly pleasant vacation spots. I doubt Doctors Without Borders has much call to send people to Bermuda or New Zealand."

Once they both get their trays of food, he heads over to an open window table. "Here we go, all set." He opens a couple packets of ketchup for his fries and starts in on his burger. Between bites he says "My folks don't really do much like that, but then again they're geology professors so there isn't a ton of emergency needs for them. They've been taking me caving for years though, which is pretty cool as long as you don't get claustrophobic. We've had to crawl through some pretty tight spaces sometimes."
Eabha Aine Settling in across from Evan at the table, Eabha Aine checks the location of the motorcycle with the right eye, the left is watching the hands open ketchup packets for the onion rings. One is dipped and munched before she opens the bottle of water for a sip.

"We're still learning control, how to keep things around us from shaking, and honestly we think we have that down now," she admits, willing to talk openly about that part. They weren't sure how well non-mutants would take to the idea of a set of twins becoming one person, so they didn't talk about that openly.

"Hapa kuna baadhi ya toys kwa ajili yako," they babble out with a giggle. "The only Swahili we know, it means, 'Here are some toys for you.' The conditions were horrible, people living in dirt huts, with straw roofs, but it didn't always dampen their spirits. The kids played like kids, the momma worried like mommas, and the papas that weren't bring dragged off to fight, worked as hard as they could for their families."

Now it was time for some of the burger. There was nothing lovely or dainty about their eating style, but they also weren't pigs. Plenty of napkins used to keep the face and fingers clean.

"We don't think we're claustrophobic," she comments with a slight shrug. "But it would have to be pretty cool to crawl around caves. Oh... and geologists are the ones who help study earthquakes, so there are some emergency needs, they just happen differently."
Evan Sabahnur     Nodding, Evan says "That's true, volcanos also, but that's more to the point of giving early warning about them. Once it's already happened it's not really an emergency for them any more. They may study it to see the effects, but that's more academic than emergency. They do have a bunch of stuff about Mt. Saint Helens when it went off back in 1980 cause they were involved in monitoring the buildup before it erupted."

He doesn't eat completely like a teenage boy, in that while he does eat fairly quickly, he too is pretty clean about doing so. A small pile of used napkins builds up on the table between the two of them.

"I suppose families are families no matter where you go. It's not like it's the people's fault that there's a drought or something that's screwing up their land. I dunno, I think the differences between people from different countries is smaller than they think. People pretty much need the same things the world over, I don't get why someone's skin color or language makes people think they're so very different."
Eabha Aine Wiping their fingers off with a napkin, Eabha Aine pulls her phone from the pocket of her leather jacket to look at the screen, grins so broadly that it looks like her face might just explode then shoves the phone back in her pocket. They try very hard not to vibrate with excitement in the chair, but it was difficult to hold still knowing that everything was now ready for the O'Leary birthday tradition.

"We're all equal," she states plainly once she had the excitement back under control. "At the root of every person is the need for air, food, sleep, and love. We are all communal beings, and yet many out there act like their better simply because they have money or a better job, or in some cases, white skin."

A soft snort of derision is offered before they change the subject. "Do you like fish? We mean like salmon or ahi ahi? We don't know which our mother will have served for dinner, but it's always fish, a tradition she tends to keep for spring break."

Finishing off the last of the burger, they start to nibble on the onion rings while sipping at the milkshake. "Aine wants to know if you can make your arms look like The Rocks," Eabha says with a laugh. "I have no idea why she wants to know, but... can you?"
Evan Sabahnur     Watching her across the table, he asks, "Good news, I take it? Been a while since I had a text that made me that happy." When she talks about equality he nods, "Exactly my point. The difference between those people you were helping in Africa and the folks here around us are simply that all of us here were lucky enough to live in a wealthy country with a lot of opportunities. Take one of those kids and put him with a family here and in a few years nobody would have a clue he wasn't an American."

Evan grins at Aine's question and nods, "Yeah, I can, but it looks kind of silly with them attached to my rather smaller than the Rock's body. Big old cartoon arms coming off a normal person's torso, it's not a great look. I can show you when we get back if you like, probably better not to do it right here."
Eabha Aine Aine is the one who giggles over the Rock cartoon arms, and a keen ear or someone who has been around them could note a difference in the sound from when it's Eabha. Most of the time it was difficult to determine who was doing the talking, though at times there were clues that could be picked up on.

"So if you can do your arms, can you change your whole body?" Aine then asks with big saucer blue eyes watching him, as if he might do it right now but knowing he wouldn't. "Or it is just your arms and legs?"

The shakes gets moved from the left hand to the right mid-drink, and then it is set back down, the smile is bright but not quite as insanely giggly as it was. "It was good news, yes. Something we were waiting for has finally arrived," Eabha answers the other part of the question, then devours the last onion ring.
Evan Sabahnur     "Actually, all I've ever changed were my hands and arms since that's what changed when the cave-in happened. I suppose I should have thought of changing more than my arms, but for some reason it never really occurred to me. I was focusing on what I knew I could do and never got around to thinking about the rest."

He takes the last bite of his burger, chewing a little slowly as he considers how to go about testing if he could change more than his arms. Eyes coming back into focus to the here and now, he looks over to her and says, "Ready to head back? I think we're about done here, and you've given me something to think about and experiment with, and I think that's better done back at the school."

He collects the garbage from the table onto his tray and takes it over to the garbage, dumping it and putting the tray in the holder on top. Taking the helmet in one hand, he holds the door for Eabha on the way out, then heads for the motorcycle.
Eabha Aine With the last of the shake sucked up through the straw, including that annoying sound made as they moved the straw around inside to get every last bit, clean up begins. First Eabha Aine uses the bottle of water to wet a napkin and wipe her hands and lips, then one more napkin to dry her hands. All the napkins, the cup and burger box, along with the bag the onions rings came in goes onto the tray and like Evan, it is carries to the garbage to be dumped and the tray sat on top.

"It's time for all of us to consider the possibilities of what we are capable of doing," they offers, taking a moment to twist the cap back on the water bottle and poke it in her pocket.

Accepting the door holding with a smile and polite, "Thank you." they continue out to the motorcycle and slide the helmet back on their head. Just like before they climb on first and make sure to position themself in a way to leave room for Evan. "Would you like to see a little more speed this time, or should I stay speed limit?"
Evan Sabahnur     "We should probably keep under the limit, because now you've got me thinking about what I could have been doing on the trip here, so if it was an unconscious reflex it probably won't happen this time, and I don't think either of use have any need to end up in a ditch or something."

He shrugs a little and puts his helmet on, swinging a leg over the bike and settling in behind her. His hands move to her waist and he says "Ok, I'm all set here. Let's see if anything happens while I'm paying attention to it."
Eabha Aine Eabha is just a little saddened by the having to keep the speed limit, but Aine is quite happy over it. Another inner battle between the twins that Evan helped Aine win, because in the end even Eabha wasn't going to do something to freak Evan out.

Getting back out onto the highway required a little back tracking, but they knew where they were going. "If we notice you doing something different, the feel of the bike being different, we'll let you know," they offered when at a stop light, then finally a turn, down the on ramp and back onto the high way at legal speeds... well maybe just a touch over, but nothing like Eabha really wanted.

The traffic was a little lighter going back, which made sense as most people weren't headed to the heart of country land in Westchester. Around cars and trucks, no taunting any eighteen-wheelers cause that would be moronic, and in no time at all they were back to the entry gates of the school.
Evan Sabahnur     Evan leans into the turns like he did before, but she would feel a difference. He's an easy passenger with a good sense of balance, but this time she knows he's there. Apparently he was right, and paying attention to what his body is doing has shut down it's unconscious reflex, at least in this case. He definitely needs to do a lot of experimenting to find out just what his limits are, because it seems there's more to his powers than his arms.

"You know, I think you might be on to something with me being able to do more than I thought. I've been thinking back and I can't remember ever getting sick, and I've always basically ignored the weather. I always seem to be at a comfortable temperature summer or winter. I've been letting a lot pass by, and I'm supposed to be smarter than that."

He pauses for a minute then continues, "I think it might have been a kind of defense thing. I got a lot of teasing and such just for my looks, maybe I've been unconsciously minimizing what I can do so I don't seem even weirder."
Eabha Aine Even though Evan wasn't altering his mass this time, Eabha Aine noticed he was still really good at maintaining the correct balance on turns. It was nice to have someone to ride with that actually got it right, and once again the twins had a small debate about Marshel.

"It sounds to me like it's time to keep a journal," they state, slowing down to turn up the driveway. "Keep track of all the things you may never have noticed before, and add that some things come without you realizing it. We'll help, if we notice something, we'll tell you."

It wasn't difficult to see that something was different by the garage as they pulled up. A new vehicle had arrived, a 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 3lZ in dark blue. Wrapped around the doors was white paper to look like ribbon, and the top was a massive white bow. On the windshield was banner that read, 'I Belong to Evan' and a card in a blue envelope at the end. A few students had gathered at a distance to stare at it, but no one dared get too close.

They stopped the motorcycle right by the car and waited to see what Evan would do. This tradition was always exciting for the twins, but this year was the biggest and best they'd done.
Evan Sabahnur     He nods, "Yeah, that's probably a good idea. Keep trying different things while also trying to pay attention to things I've been taking for granted." He snorts, adding "Turning me into a scientist, my parents will be thrilled. Document everything as you experiment, that makes it valid as science."

Shaking his head he continues "I suppose it's not a terrible thing, I've never really had a job I was aiming for after school. Some form of scientist is as good as anything, I suppose." A little laugh, then "Maybe we'll find out some really amazing things I can do and I'll go join the Avengers or something. Those guys get paid, right? I mean, I can't imagine Captain America flipping burgers between fighting supervillains."

When they make it to the garage the car caught his attention, being that it was one at the top of his list of wanted vehicles that he'd never own. Looking it over he even misses the windshield banner at first, just taking in the beauty of the machine. He finally focuses on the banner and blinks, automatically dismounting from the bike and taking his helmet off. "What.. who..?" is about all he manages to vocalize, moving over to the car to pick up the envelope and open it up.
Eabha Aine Once Evan has climbed off the motorcycle, Eabha Aine engages the kick stand, climbs off and removes her helmet to set on the seat for now. They're already bouncing on the balls of her feet as he approaches the car, and even as he's open the envelope they starts talking way too quickly.

"Happy O'Leary Birthday!" is blurted out first and she darts over to stand beside him. In the envelope is the paperwork that needs signing to officially make the car belong to Evan, along with the auto insurance information and card.

From the right pocket of their leather jacket Eabha pulls the key to the vehicle, well one of the two really, on a Corvette keychain which she then dangles in front of him. "It's a tradition," she offers while wiggling the key at him. "We got something we wanted for our birthday, and we get something for someone else to enjoy. This year... we agreed and choose you." There was no shame, no embarrassment, no hesitation, just pure joy at getting someone something they wanted.
Evan Sabahnur     Evan is very obviously shocked at this sudden granting of one of his biggest wishes. This isn't the kind of thing that normally happens to people, nobody just hands you a hundred thousand dollar car.

Except apparently it's happening. He looks over the paperwork, a little dazed, then looks over to her as she explains the reason behind it.

He shakes his head a little, resetting his brain, and says, "It's a great tradition Eabha, but isn't this maybe overdoing it a little?" He's still not entirely sure what to think of it all, but as she dangles the key in front of him he reached out and takes it.

"Thank you doesn't really seem like enough in this situation. This is just... beyond anything I could think of." He turns to her and gives her a tight hug, letting her go if she seems the least bit uncomfortable with it.
Eabha Aine Another round of bouncing around with excitement occurs, including giggles over Evan's reaction and comments. "We certainly don't think it's overdoing it," they comment with a charming smile. "Else we wouldn't have done it."

As Evan goes to hug them, they are ready to accept the hug and give one back, they even kiss him on the cheek lightly and don't seem to have any issue with hugs at all. "Thank you is the perfect response, and you are very welcome," they say, only stepping out of the hug when Evan is ready, other wise they are quite happy to stand there hugging him.
Evan Sabahnur     The hug lasts for a few moments before he says "It's probably a good thing I actually got my driver's license so that I could run errands and such at home. It'd be a real bummer to get this car and not be able to drive it."

Holding up the keychain, he looks over to her and says "Well, we can't just leave this sitting here. Park your bike while I sign the paperwork and remove the bow, then we'll go see how this baby handles."

Walking over to the car he carefully signs the paperwork on top of part of the bow on the hood so the car is protected, then quickly changes his hand into scissors to cut the bow and unwrap it from the car. Hitting the unlock button on the keychain makes the car beep as the alarm turns off, and he opens the door and slides into the driver's seat.

"Oh, this is nice.... wow." He looks over the dash gauges and panels, shaking his head a little. "It could take someone a week just to configure all these the way they want." He turns the key in the ignition and the engine roars to life behind him. Once Eabha gets in and both doors close the engine noise almost vanishes. "Anywhere in particular you feel like going? I'm going to do a couple laps of the school just to get a feel for it before we hit the road."
Eabha Aine Walking back over to the Ducati, Eabha Aine moves the kick stand then leans her weight into walking the bike into the garage. They were assigned a parking spot with the other motorcycles, and now there was a spot for Evan's Corvette. Both helmets get locked in a metal trunk that shares the space with her motorcycle, and the keys are slide back into the left pocket with the cell phone.

Jogging back out just in time to watch Evan cut the ribbon and another excited giggle bursts out of her over his hands being scissors. Moving around to passenger side, they let him get in first and have a moment alone with the new car, to get the feel, then they open the door and slide into the seat.

"We got all the bells and whistles because... well come on, you don't get a car like this and /not/ get everything, right?" She reaches to fasten her seat belt, just so she's ready for when he decides its time. "Your insurance is full coverage, full everything really, and will be paid for until such time as you finish school and are employed.. those were my father's words. If you decide to go to college, we'll keep paying the insurance."
Evan Sabahnur     Evan just shakes his head with a wide smile, "This is just.. amazing. Thank you so much. And yeah, I can see that this has just about everything." He taps a few times on the large touchscreen display angled towards the driver and sets up a few things to display there, then fastens his seat belt and gives the car a little gas. As it starts rolling, he turns to go down the driveway and onto the private road the circles the mansion. The car handles so well that after only one lap he turns and heads for the actual road.

"Although I'm tempted, we'll stay under the speed limit. I get the feeling that if I really opened up and the cops stopped me, we'd be looking at a license-revoking top speed." He grins and gives it a little more gas, heading down the road.
