Owner Pose
Morrigan MacIntyre Morrigan didn't get done with parents, officials and just cleaning up until well past nine in the evening. She smelled like burnt hair and she'd already been crying once everyone left. She'd walked home from the Science Fair to try to feel better and get air, but that didn't make it any better.

She was tired of something always going wrong.

But she was far more tired of not having anyone that she could turn to.

While Riordan was there, he was her herald. She knew that he would be there. He just...

She wanted something else.

So it's after she'd been home for about a half hour that she texts Balder to see if he'd be willing to talk. He didn't need to bring anything, just himself.
Balder The response took a moment - the man had been busy in some research, sorting out the current situations he was deep in. Still, the response was a positive, and that he'd be by her place shortly. Once everything was secured in his hotel suite, he arranged his Midgard outfit and began the casting.

A moment later, he was on her doorstep.

Balder knocked at the door, smirking as he heard the thump and skitter of Occam, as the mainecoon rushed towards the door.
Morrigan MacIntyre Morrigan had been grabbing a drink when the knock on the door sounded and Occam had chirped in DELIGHT when his favorite person appeared. The Irish woman headed for the door after him. She was dressed in old jeans and a oversized t-shirt. Her bare feet padding across the floor to the door.

When she opened it there was a look to him, maybe something warring, "It was too late to tell you to stay home." she muses to that as she allows him in.

"I always feel like I'm calling you when something bad happens." she states to him.
Balder Balder's brow arches as she mentions it was too late to tell him to not come over. "What happened?" He asks, even as he ducks down a bit and scoops up Occam in his arms. Easier than having him underfoot! "Something bad happened?" He wonders, canting his head to the side to regard her hair.

"How can I help, Morrigan?" He wonders, motioning for her to take a seat - somewhere comfortable. He whispers into Occam's ear, and gets a chirrup in response. Once she's taken a seat, Occam moves over and climbs into her lap - to offer comfort.
Morrigan MacIntyre "Everything that could go wrong did go wrong today." Morrigan states with a sad look. "I know it was April Fool's day...but yeesh." she whispers as she looks over him. She then moves back towards the living room to sit down as directed. There is a smile to him as Occam climbs into her lap, "Aww." she states with a gentle smile as she pets him.

Then she uses the other hand to pat the seat next to her. "There was a situation that happened at the fair. A child was supposedly expelled, so that would mean they couldn't show they display. When I approached, they got spooked and things sort of went down hill from there. There were electric issues and we moved everyone before serious injury set in. My hair got burnt." she laughs. "Apparently the teen is new to his powers and was afraid we were going to do something to him. We've getting some other groups involved to figure out what exactly is going on." she comments.

"How is your week?" she asks him.
Balder "April Fool's Day. A day of mischief, to be sure. I would wager that Loki is fond of it, of course." The God of Light grins. He takes the offered seat, giving Occam a scritch for his good behavior. "Supposedly expelled? Was the removal of the student from the school in question, some how?" It all sounds odd to Balder.

As she mentions everyone is safe - no serious injuries, Balder nods. "Did they conjure a storm? Or lightning?" He asks, curious. A wry grin. "My week has been... spent in study. And travel to Asgard to check in on my mother."
Morrigan MacIntyre "I'm sure he is and for the most part everyone was great." Morrigan states to him as she pets the Maine Coon. She then gives a look to Balder, "We don't have official word that he was. So it is hearsay until I talk to the head of the school he was from. Which they've not returned my call yet. We have insurances and things. Doctors checked everyone that got singed or felt obviously off." she explains.

"I'm just..." she breathes out, "I'm tired. The kids that have powers are picked on and I think that it was part of the situation." she admits. "I'm going to get to the top of it on Monday though." she nods.

"Spent in study? How is your mother?" she asks him with a smile.
Balder Occam is all purrs and cuddles with Morrigan. Seems he was given a tip that she wasn't feeling well! "There would be records, yes?" Balder hrms, stroking at his beard. "Odd, that it is in question." A shake of his head. "Why would bullies decide on a target of someone who might have more power than them?" Another shake of his head. "Seems a poor plan."

"Tired. You are allowed to be tired." The Asgardian comments. "You lead a life that is full of stress."

He regards her for a moment. "What have you done to relax? Or take care of yourself?" A look to Occam, then to her. "I can ask him, I am sure he'd tell me."

"Trying to learn more sorceries - things that will help in the future, for finding lost relatives. Mother is doing well."
Morrigan MacIntyre "I am amused that you have a way with animals." Morrigan tells him that softly. "Yes, but those are generally sealed." she admits. "I've got calls in. Just might take a few days. Until then, the young man is safe and recovering. Tommy and Xiomara took him to get food and I've spoken with his mother about him staying in one of the extra rooms at Happy Harbor for the moment." she explains.

"I managed to not loose a large amount of my hair during the spark shower today." she muses to that. "I had dinner and things. I was going to take a shower, but can do that later." she shrugs.

Then there is a quirk of her eyebrow, "Wait, I thought Thor was home? I could have swore big chatter was he had helped to get rid of that one dark elf." she frowns to that.
Balder The Agardian chuckles. "It is a blessing. I enjoy hearing from the animals and being able to talk with them. They have all sorts of wonderful information." A wink to Occam. "Good that they are safe, then. And good that they are being cared for. A frightened person can be dangerous, indeed - especially with powers above mortal men."

A smirk. "Are baths better, or showers? I enjoy the water falling over me, but soaking is a treat as much as not."

"I am still under orders from my Brother to tend to my Mother." He grins.
Morrigan MacIntyre "Do you have any sort of pet?" Morrigan asks him.

"I think that once we get things cleared up that I might talk to this students parents and ask if they would like to enroll Melvin in the school. It might be a better environment for him while he's stretching his wings sort of speak." she admits.

"I am a fan of a nice bath. I have a soaking tub though. Nice view of the water out back as well." she smiles.

"You are good to your family. I'm sure they are lucky to have you." she tells him softly.
Balder Balder thinks on that. "Not one I call my own, really. I just have friends to speak to." He admits. "I do talk to the animals my Father keeps about." A wry grin. "They are quite intelligent. Too intelligent, at times." There's a happy chuckle there. "I think having a place where he can be accepted would be good for your wayward young scientist."

"A good view is wonderful when soaking. Even without, though - it is a wonderful way to destress. Candles, music and a soak." A sage nod.

A smirk. "I am a son who loves his family. It would be... difficult for me to act otherwise."
Morrigan MacIntyre "I guess they are really just little fuzzy companions...more than pets. We just call them pets down here." Morrigan states with a soft chuckle. "Like his ravens?" she asks of him. "Benvy talks a lot. I sometimes wonder if she needs another friend." she admits to that.

"You're free to use the tub whenever you like. Should be more than enough room for you." she tells him.

"You are a very sweet and peaceful person, Balder." she nods to that. "You're a boon to your family." she admits.
