Owner Pose
Pamela Isley     It took Ivy a long time to get an identity set up, and to try and get this meeting arranged. She needs to have a talk with one of the higher ups in Starr Labs to see what they have, and are willing to sell or use for this little project she had land in her lap. Thus it is that Abigail "Gail" Olander is hoping to meet with someone of note. She's wearing herself a slightly ill fitting dress, her hair is done in a messy bread as she carries a messenger bag with a tablet and several other things. She walks up to the front desk she was told to report to, "Um...hi. Hello? I think I have an appointment here."
Karen Starr     Karen has staff, and of course, they'll vet the appointment and get "Abigail" shown in. By the time she arrives, Karen is sitting on the other side of her desk, in her pantsuit. She looks to her laptop there. "Miss...Olander?" she asks, checking her appointment schedule, eyes flicking over the notes for what this is supposed to be about.
Pamela Isley     "Huh," she may not be an Oscar wining actress, but Poison Ivy has a lot of practice being someone else. "Oh. Yes! Hello." She walks over and tries to play up bumping something with her bag. "Oh sorry. I don't think anything broke." She smiles to the blonde. "Thank you for seeing me. I was hoping I may find out some information about your products. Non-NDA violating type talks of course."
Karen Starr     "Of course." Karen replies. "Was there a specific product you were interested in? Or are you interested in the research services?" She idly looks over to the bag. And through it. Always good to know what's around you.
Pamela Isley     "I'm trying an independent start up of sorts on alternative housing ideas." She motions to a chair and stammers, "m-m-may I?" She will set her stuff down as Ivy spills out some pens and papers before staring to gather them up hastily. "I was wondering about cargo container weights, and looking for means of transport that are either local or better then giant tankers. Not to mention using your facilities to test the products for viability."
Karen Starr     Karen nods. "Of course." She doesn't seem overly friendly, but neither is she hostile. "Starrlabs is primarily an R&D thinktank. So product testing would be right within our wheelhouse. As far as cargo containers, we primarily use standard containers, unless there's a need for environmental controls, which we do possess. Transport depends on the destination. We do have hover transports, but the cost is correspondingly higher than normal water shipping."
Pamela Isley     The redhead, "Of course I am trying to keep things in house as much as possible." The woman starts to shuffle through papers, organizing what was spilled earlier. "See I'm working on alternative housing," she says to the blonde. "I want to see if I can reduce carbon footprints. Housing hasn't changed in far too long."
Karen Starr     "Interesting. Certainly a worthwhile project. Is this something you're working on yourself, or is this something as the result of a grant or sponsored project?" Karen asks, seeming curious.
Pamela Isley     The woman seems to consider. "It is my work but I have a patron if you will." Obviously not her place to reveal that. She says then, "The work I'm focusing on is how to make a renewable source for wood that is still strong and light enough for use. The idea is something like Ikea to be honest. You know how they send you a book case in a flat thin case. Same idea."
