Morrigan MacIntyre Happy Harbor High School had went to The National Aquarium in Baltimore for there end of school trip. Declan and Delia's parents had come along as chaperone's and there were a few other adults that were helping wrangle the teens today. Which was fun given most of these guys were seniors and wouldn't be with them much longer. Sadly that was the way of the world. They couldn't keep them forever.

Funds had been given to students and they were told when lunch and other times they would be meeting through out the day for special things.

The National Aquarium houses several exhibits including the Upland Tropical Rain Forest, a multiple-story Atlantic Coral Reef, an open-ocean shark tank, and Australia: Wild Extremes, which won the "Best Exhibit" award from the Association of Zoos and Aquariums in 2008. So there is a lot to see and do!

Morrigan is notably absent. But that's because she's banned from the National Aquarium, not that anyone else knows that.
Michael Hannigan As likely as there is a good story behind Morrigan's banishment from the aquarium there isn't much opportunity for the other chaperones to inquire to it as the main source is not currently present. But perhaps this can explain how Mike once again has ended up on a chaperone list for a field trip.

One could complain that Mike's only volunteering for the fun stuff, but if someone were to do that, they'd betray the fact that they have never chaperoned a school trip before.

Case in point, Mr. Hannigan is currently swinging by the bathroom area to drop off an emergency shirt acquisition for a minor 'incident' at the petting tank. He's not naming any names but if someone continues the field trip wearing a freshly bought aquarium shirt-

Well, you'll know then.

There's a knock at the door and with the exception of a hand reaching out to snatch the bag inwards, the reveal has not occurred yet.
Richard Stadler      Stadler had been happy to go along to a trip up to Maryland, after all, and it had been a long time since he'd been in Baltimore. Of course, the job itself was all he needed, selfless as he was. Certainly didn't need additional reasons to chaperone a bunch of teenagers on a three hour bus ride across state lines. No sir.

He's currently walking along with a few students around the coral reef tank (who didn't love that much water with so many fish?) and making sure no one's getting into much trouble going forward. This would have been easier with authority backing him up, but Doctor Macintyre seemed to be a bit... cagey on why she wasn't headed down with them. For someone who had escorted students to Cairo, you'd think a heading into Maryland-

Michael's presence outside a bathroom with a t-shirt are noted, and curious. So long as the kid's aren't being too rowdy... okay. A quick walk over and a silent quirked eyebrow to the musician in question.
Billy Batson After a week of classwork, streaming a couple shows and off world hijinks Billy needed some off time. Police, firefighters, doctors all took time off to stay sane. Why not superheroes? Not like he'd let a plane fall out of the sky if he saw one. It was just not like him. He rarely joined in these things in his junior and senior years. Even less now, graduating. Fact was, as nice a guy as Billy could be, he rarely let other people in. The notable exceptions were his family, Sunny and a couple of old school friends. Right now he saw non of the above and therefore was working on a 16 oz. soda and looking at fish. He had more experience with kaiju coming out of the water.
Morrigan MacIntyre Morrigan didn't say anything about why she wasn't attending. She just stated that she trusted Mister Mallory in attending to things when she couldn't. And he's in charge of wrangling Melvin today along with Declan, Delia and Tyler. That was a group that would cause grey hair.

"Doctor MacIntyre's work at Mount Sinai for the Summer has picked up unexpectedly." Duncan tells the group he's with as they head past one of the touch pools. "No one try to jump in. That's the last thing we need is trying to dry out kids...and we don't need an out of state incident." the tall man comments.
Michael Hannigan Once the bathroom door slams shut, leaving Mike outside with one less shopping bag, Mike turns around, back to the door. Seeing the curious look shot his way, he sighs, and gives a half smile. At the very least he seems a bit better rested than a few days ago.

"Petting Tank." Mike offers up in a low explanation, seeming to think that is more than enough explanation.

Knowing where one student is, Mike takes a moment to scan the group of students. Hearing the comment from the passing Duncan, the musician rolls his eyes.

Too late.

He goes back to monitoring nearby students.
Billy Batson Billy Batson always found Dr. Mo an enigma. She seemed very mysterious. The only reason he didn't peg her for a superhero was there couldn't be enough time for it with all the work she did. Then his phone buzzes. He answers without hesitation.

"Good. You? National Aquarium. Want to join me?" Small smile. "Then fly. I... went on a bus. Well it isn't a rickshaw pulled by a Flash. I should go. I don't know tonight. You'll live till then." He listens a while smiling before signing off.
Caleb Dykstra Just a recent (and late) addition to Happy Harbor, Caleb is here, followed by his kid sister, Sheila. Both follow with the group, on their best behavior - though Caleb has a tendency to keep his head down, a habit learned in his past life of crime from years keeping a low profile among crowds.

He smirks when incidents are mentioned, and looks at Sheila. ?See? No swimming with the sharks, sis.?

Sheila pouts.
Michael Hannigan Hearing a familiar voice coming nearby Mike turns his head to find Billy on his own but on the phone. The curious look Rick gave him is soon wrapped back up and regifted over to the nearby Batson. Once it appears the call is done, the musician tilts his head. "Hey Billy. How's the show going for you?"

Catching a glimpse of Caleb and his sister trailing off after Ducan, Mike turns his head slightly, smiling their general direction before looking back to Billy. Looks like things are working out for them after all.
Billy Batson Billy Batson? He notes Caleb. He makes a quick study of Caleb behind his huge soda before answering. "I'm okay Mr. Hannigan. I'm a little distracted wit a few things -like show biz. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about." He wants to ask about the new student but that can lead to questions. He already has enough people in on the secret. He's sure any hijinks by this guy will be shut down. Moreover, he's sure he doesn't know the whole story and could wreck things messing about.
Morrigan MacIntyre Duncan leads his little cadre and some others towards one of the touch pools, "Stingrays are over here." he tells them. "And I think we've got the dolphin show after lunch. Plus there is a seal meet and greet that everyone got signed up for. I'm sure that will be fun." the man states with a smile.

Delia gives a look to Mister Mallory, "Umm...what if we get water on us?" the goth girl asks. "Hopefully no one will get splashed or anything. Just don't sit in the low seats." he tells her.
Michael Hannigan Mike nods. "It does take a bit of an adjustment." He agrees, "A lot of people don't seem to realize the amount of work that goes into entertainment. Both on and off camera."

The door to the bathroom opens allowing for one of the female students to step out wearing a slightly too large T-shirt advertising the frog exhibit. Looking over to Mike, she holds out an aquarium shopping bag that seems a lot heavier than it was before. "Thank you." She lowly murmurs before walking out to go rejoin her friends.

Glancing into the bag, Mike sighs and pulls out a phone, starting to search for nearby laundromats.
Richard Stadler      Richard had to make a quick phone call itself during that time, it looks like. Last minute plans alterations, if there was anything to go by the few snatches of words someone close to him could catch before getting a glance through the glasses that would shoo them away. It was done up quickly enough, and it wasn't something that kept him from noticing the Drama of the shirt in the near distance. It's enough for him to walk up to Mike and give him a question in a low volume. "Accident with clothing? Dolphin show hasn't even started yet." He notes, looking over to Duncan showing off the stingrays and the touch pools. Always nice to pat an animal, really, it was.
Michael Hannigan Mike glances up from his phone to the question, giving a nod. "Touch pool, inattentive student, and a white T-shirt. I'm planning to pop over to a nearby laundromat during the dolphin show to get it taken care of."
Caleb Dykstra ?Need a hand??, Caleb asks Mike as he approaches, having noticed the situation.

Looking at Rick, he says, ?Yeah, I think you might need to get some umbrellas and maybe even some raincoats for when the big dolphin show comes...? He looks at his sister. ?And she would prefer sharks...? Shrugs, ?No dolphins, no seals... Not even jellyfishes... But sharks. Go figure.?
Morrigan MacIntyre Duncan gives a look over to the group with the bag of wet clothes and there's a bit of a moment he dares to leave the four more infamous teens in the presence of some other poor chaperone. "I think we could ask if we could use one of their dryers if you don't want to go to a laundry mat, Mister Hannigan." he offers. "I don't want you to miss anything if you don't have to." he adds.

"I hope everyone is doing alright other than the trouble with the water?" he asks to make sure everyone is indeed alright.
Michael Hannigan Hearing Caleb speak up, the musician looks over to the newly admitted student. "Oh I should be fine Caleb. It's a shirt, not an entire wardrobe. Besides, the whole group has the dolphin show scheduled and that might be a good time for you and your sister to get to know some future classmates and alumni. Just don't sit up real close."

The performer smiles warmly. "Good to see that you both got in."

As Duncan approaches to offer an alternative suggestion, he blinks. "They have dryers here?"
Richard Stadler      Rick gives a nod over to Mike. "Don't let me keep you, then. Though we're downtown; the only one I remember is in an rea we really wouldn't want to head into." He notes, before looking over to Caleb. "Suit's fine in this case. I've got a poncho in my bag, but I don't think I'd mind getting a bit of a splash. Suit's not that expensive anyway."

To Duncan, he moves to raise an eyebrow. "That's a rather... inventive solution. I imagine they must have some ways to process some sort of cloth, but I didn't think aquariums' had dryers. Certainly this wouldn't be a hotel."
Morrigan MacIntyre "Most zoos and aquariums have a hospitality branch that have dryers and things for when they run events. Rags and such get laundered on site to save costs as to not run up bills and things. So I'm guessing that might be the case here." Duncan states with a smile to the group.

"Especially with one this big. Seems to generate more jobs by keeping it in house. And we donate enough money here to probably get a pass to use the dryer." he whispers to them with a chuckle. "Let me take that and I'll see if I can sweet talk someone." he offers. If he's given the bag he will definitely go sweet talk someone into dryer use!
Michael Hannigan Mike looks over to Rick to the word of warning. "I'm a product of Gotham and Hell's Kitchen. I think I'll be fine." He responds, a bit deadpan before nodding Duncan's way, "But he's got a point. If they have dryers here, might as well check before running out."

Looking to the extended hand, Mike looks to the bag before surrendering it over. "Just let me know if it's a no. I can run out when everyone's seated for a show."
Caleb Dykstra Caleb?s head gears start working, and he turns to Sheila, ?Say, wanna see the Dolphins up close??

Naturally, the girl nods.

Caleb smiles to the chaperones, ?Can?t disappoint a young lady over a couple splashes from the happy swimming mammals, right??

He heads to the gift shop with her, and not long after, they?re coming out with suits with the aquarium logo in their arms - Caleb?s is black and grey, while Sheila?s is purple and green.

?And we got our memorabilia for this day?, he comments. The girl, of course, is all smiles.
