Emma Frost	It's somewhat early in the evening. Having come to the THemysciran Embassy to look at some of the art on display, Emma Frost has finished going through the art center. Now, she's heading in to the cafe to inspect over the menu. Greek isn't something she gets to take out often, after all. So there's a sigh in her lips as she would glance at it.
Karen Starr	Power Girl is doing something she generally doesn't. She's actually patrolling. She usually doesn't waste time with it; there's plenty of heroes in the city. But with her cousin being incapacitated, she feels...well, somehow guilty. Even if it isn't his city, she feels more like she should be out doing something. So she soars overhead, letting her super-senses look for any signs of trouble as she puts herself in a position to be seen. Deterrence through presence.
Emma Frost	Emma Frost would glance over to Power Girl as the blonde would fly overhead. Emma would give a look of respect up at her. And then go to mouth, 'Is everything all right'? Somehow the blonde having an unerring ability to notice her flying above and also that she might seem uneasy.
Karen Starr	Power Girl looks down. She's no telepath, so if she wants to answer, she has to land. She swoops down towards the ground, and makes a wave of "over this way" towards Emma.
Emma Frost	Emma Frost would gesture over at Power Girl to join her, while heading towards one of the tables and pulling two menus over . "You look like you were distracted." how she could have told that from that distance might be a little surprising.
Karen Starr	"A bit." She says, frowning. "I shouldn't exactly be stopping for coffee at a time like this. I don't know if you heard, but there's trouble with my cousin." And trouble with Superman is everyone's trouble.
Emma Frost	Emma Frost would nod for a moment, "I've heard some of the matters, but none of the specifics. He's an inspiring man.. I'm sure that you'll rescue him soon enough. And the world will survive for ten minutes if you stop to have a coffee."
Karen Starr	Power Girl nods. "And it'll also keep turning if I don't have coffee." She says, dryly. "Besides, I'm not exactly dressed for coffeeshopping. Superhero costumes aren't really the thing for that. "If I stay here more than a few minutes, the reporters and the paparazzi will start showing up."
Emma Frost	Emma Frost would smile, "Well, they have to get past the Amazons first. And I'm sure taht they're even less enthsuiastic about all of those types than you are. And they have diplomatic immunity."
Karen Starr	"Okay, so, yes. You do have a point with that." Power Girl admits. She looks about. "And it is a nice place. One glass." She pauses. "Uhh...I don't exactly carry around a wallet in this." Where WOULD she?
Emma Frost	Emma Frost would laugh, "it's all right, I can cover the expense, don't worry." she goes to flash a smile, "I'm more than good for it. So, just sit down for a few minutes and relax."
Karen Starr	Power Girl sighs a little, and will move to take a seat, adjusting her cape to make sure it's hiding her backside. "You have some really weird ideas about socializing."
Emma Frost	Emma Frost would smirk, "Yes I do. I'm rich enough that I can decide whatever I want, and everyone presumes that it's part of some brilliant scheme or plan. It makes indulging my whims far simpler when no matter what I do I'm heralded as a genius."
Karen Starr	Power Girl smirks a little. "I doubt anyone's going to be nominating you for a nobel prize for the genius plan of having a coffee." She crosses her legs. "I can't believe I'm wearing this thing out at a coffee shop. But I guess Amazons don't care. They aren't exactly fashion plates either."
Emma Frost	Emma Frost would laugh quietly, "Well, it means that I can have my coffee uninterrupted and have everyone bask at me in awe for a time. I'll take periods of peace where I can get them. Even for a few minutes at a time. And you're wearing your.. Work outfit, I suppose. Not quite the same thing. But they have their armor on at all times that I've seen them,s o I presume it's the same for you."
Karen Starr	"I am. But the work outfit is meant for working in. I'd probably design a different one, but it has the benefit of being indestructable. It's not as if I can exactly go to Heroes R' Us and pick up a different design. And you are definitely full of confidence. I guess that has to count for something." Power Girl says, amusedly.
Emma Frost	Emma Frost would laugh, "Well, I'm hardly one to judge aesthetics. Your wear your costume for a reason. And I'm jealous for how you can have such confidence in doing so. You are a woman very full of herself. And I mean that in a very complimentary way."
Karen Starr	"Pot, kettle." Power Girl says, as she looks over to Emma. "But that's okay. There's nothing wrong with confidence. It's nice to see in people." She looks to Emma, and gives a nod. "But I should probably get back out there on patrol."
Emma Frost	Emma Frost would nod, "Of course. I'm sure that you'll save your cousin in hsort order. I hope to catch you again soon when I'm not quite interrupting you from something like saving the day."
