Owner Pose
Emma Frost It had taken just a little bit of work and communication. But the two had gotten along together, had a few things in common, and had actually enjoyed talking. So once more at the Themysciran Embassy, where they would have peace, and when Power Girl wasn't on patrol.. Here, she and Emma were meeting for something more social.
Emma Frost is just arriving to take a table, looking over the menu
Karen Starr     PeeGee lands, looking over to Emma as she walks closer, her short cape swishing behind her with her steps. "You know, one of these days we're going to need to do something more involved than a cafe." she smiles.
Emma Frost Emma Frost would smile at Peeg, "YEs, we will. But I figured we wanted to start slow. I thought this might be a bit new for you so I didn't want to push things until you felt comfortable with it."
Karen Starr "In some ways, yes." Power Girl replies. She sits at the table. "That said, if we're going to eat, we could at least do fine dining." Just has to have something to complain about. "So how's your day going so far?" She's not usually one for small talk. Nor for being social in something like a cafe. It's got her a little out of her comfort zone and it shows.
Emma Frost Emma Frost would glance at Power Girl, "Well, next time then. I know some lovely restaurants that we could go itno. You could wear something a bit more relaxed so you don't get looked at if you prefer." She would scan over the menu. "And rather well. Business is going fairly smoothly as much as anything. As with everything ongoing ther'es yet another crisis around the corner. You probably know that more than I do." She would take her hand out to rest it on Power Girl's wrist.
Karen Starr "That could be difficult, unless I go the disguise route. I do maintain a secret identity. I'm not Power Girl all the time." She smiles a little. "Is your company doing anything for Juneteenth?" Holiday today, after all. Starrware is closed for it to give her employees the day off. "And I do know that. There's always something. Thankfully, people don't usually expect me to be on the Kryptonian first string. That's Superman or Supergirl."
Emma Frost Emma Frost would nod at Power Girl, "Well, you don't need to go in that particular position." As her secret identity. "Just put on something different than you usually wear from that and you can go as yourself and I doubt it will stand out to anyone. And I gave my employees a day off while also having a coming internal seminar on being aware of passive discrimination and how to help in communities." Emma was a mutant. She was also very aware that discrimination and prejudice went out to a lot more communities.
Karen Starr "That's good." She smiles over to Emma. "And what I /wear/ is only going to be so much of a distraction, Emma." After all, with her figure, Power Girl sort of stands out. For two obvious reasons. "Unless I'm wearing a sack."
Emma Frost Emma Frost would laugh, "Yes, that's someone else's scheme. So you can go as your own. Or youcould just throw on a red wig and call it a day. "And I don't mind you being distracting. It's nice dto not be the lovelies tlooking one about in a setting." Might that make Power Girl blush?
Karen Starr "A red wig." Which would make her look a little like Jean Grey? Maybe a more endowed Jean Grey. "You still look great. You're the conventional beautiful blonde and you know it. You're just fishing for compliments."
Emma Frost Emma Frost would smile, "Yes, I am. But that doesn't mean it's not true for you. You are a gorgeous woman and you know it. It also means that you're allowed to bask in it sometimes. So don't worry on dressing down. You look lovely no matter what."
Karen Starr "Nyeh. Maybe too much so. You're a fan of the attention. I'm not, as much." She shakes her head a bit. "But thank you for the complement." She considers a bit. "I think I'm more a fan of the company than the cuisine. Want to skip the cafe and head back home?" Either of their homes.
Emma Frost Emma Frost would nod over, "That sounds lovely. So we can go and relax where we don't mind it." She would offer her hand and smile, "So why not my place? We're not likely to have as many interruptions there." And it gives Power Girl her privacy on her 'home' life.
