Bunny Macleod     THURSDAY THURSDAY THURSDAY -- that is Deliver to the Stark Backup Building day, and Bunny has had her hands full skating back and forth between buildings and floors delivering important folders, doccuments, and at least one weird coffee order as a favor to someone else -- because the Young Avengers maybe don't pay a lot, but either way she's got contractual obligations until her time runs out at Macleod Messenger Services.

She's finally dropped the last packet, and is skating out of the building wearing a pair of 'professional' brown shorts and a rainbow color T-shirt with 'MACLEOD MESSENGER SERVICES'.

On the other hand, she did disappear off the Foot Clan's radar for a short while. Her mutant self was seen at the Avengers Day incident projecting bigger, better shields.

Someone might want to have a talk with her.
Shredder     There is a commitment that Saki expected from each person he took into training. The Foot Clan was family. You don't discard family. "Bunny." The voice is familiar. Saki is in a black kimono, his eyes hard in the darkness at the edge of the street. It's like he just appeared without traveling, like a statue that was always there and was never seen by a soul until this moment.
Bunny Macleod     And it was a commitment that Bunny had intended on keeping. But things got in the way. Wouldn't be the first family she flunked out of.

The brightly clad teenager had skated past Saki, her thoughts elsewhere when he said her name, and she braked, hard on her skates. She felt her body turn a little to water, and she takes a deep breath, turning to regard him, and instantly she bows, keenly balanced on the neon wheels of her skates.
Shredder     Saki is not smiling, his face is hard. "You've been missed," he says. "You've shrugged your responsibilities and have failed to both learn and to teach others. Has what I have given you with the Foot amounted to such little value?" he asks.
Bunny Macleod     "No, Master." she states softly. She takes a deep breath, her shoulders drawing up eyes remaining downcast.

"I got scared." she replies in honesty.

"I was seen using my powers by a crowd in the company of a CEO. I was scared that they would track me back to my family. And Vorpal warned me about interacting with Karai. If I was being watched I didn't want to involve the other two students."

Said with shame, and fear, but the truth. Bunny was a bit of a bleeding heart. She would never want to endanger the people she cared about.
Shredder     "So you listen to an outsider instead of your family. Have I tought you fear? You now stand in the company of Avengers. Will they have among them someone who is too fearful to stand?" Saki lets a breath out through his nose. "As it is, it is good to protect your family against prying eyes. Many in our family would not be welcome among society. They are feared, even by those who promote themselves as heroes. Like this 'Vorpal'. He fears Karai because he knows that she does not always conform to what he believes a person should be. Intolerance and prejudice. It is not important to win him over, though," Shredder muses. "You can do much good where you are. You have done well. This does not mean you are forgotten by us. You now have a place where you can do good for those in this family that you could not before."
Bunny Macleod     Bunny was uncharacteristically silent. She wouldn't have accepted this from her own father. She patiently listened to Saki, but her heart sank.

    "Young Avengers." she replies quietly.

"I haven't forgotten the dojo. Or my classmates. But I couldn't rsk outing everyone. And I do not deserve your forgiveness for it."
Shredder     "You took initiative," he says to Bunny. That is not something that requires forgiveness." He is still hard, but there is something almost approving in the hard tone now. "Still, you must direct your attention properly. Do not forsake your family. You will be at the dojo tomorrow," he says. He doesn't request. "And we will discuss what your new developments mean. Being part of the Young Avengers presents you with a unique set of opportunities which you should not waste."
